I'm an owner and stayed here for the first time back in early June of 2021. I was able to secure a reservation while on the waitlist. The check-in process was quick and painless mostly because I wasn't pressured into attending yet another owner update. The lady that checked me into my unit was very nice and friendly. The 2 bedroom unit that I got was way more than enough for me, a solo traveler. It definitely beats getting something like a nearby Super 8 motel. I found the location to be very quiet, perfect for a getaway vacation. Yet, it was only a short drive to nearby stores and restaurants. Everything in my unit was clean and in good working order. When I got home, I even received a couple of messages and texts that I had left something in the unit. I think it was an ice pack in the freezer.

Knocking one star due to slower than normal DSL but that could also be due to the Thunder storms having tonight, as the tv keeps freezing as well, Other than that, no issues whatsoever with the accommodations, all the Worldmarks have been top notch 5 star quality! This one also has washer/dryer and full kitchen- the fireplace isnt working and when we called front desk was told because the propane has been shut off due to it going into the summer season. The swimming pool and hot tub were nice, although be better if it was indoors, especially on nights like the first night were here. We also had no issues with the staff, includng the person issuing the parking pass.

Wow - this resort is gorgeous!…read more I spent the weekend on property at the Greater Zion Cup PPA Tour pickleball tournament and also spent some time in the resort lobby + restaurants. Service was mostly attentive and we were pleased with the transportation situation / golf cart rides to and from the courts and the main area. We did not stay on property but will certainly consider doing so in the future. It sounds like they are in the process of expanding and adding even more amenities in the future. Looking forward to returning!

They asked me how I liked Sagestone Spa, and cheerily said, "Good news, we have an amazing spa with a lot of the same staff." I said, "It's not the same. It's not the same at all." I hated Black Desert. I hate what they're doing to Ivins. It's vulgar and crass and not at all the reason I have been going out to the desert for a visit for the past 27 years. Black Desert is the place for golf bros, not for people like me. It's just like Palm Springs now. They had a singer at a bar in the lobby and the Golf Bro swagger is not for me. They're absolutely going to ruin Red Mountain, too. They're going to litter up Snow Canyon. I like the views best at Red Mountain. I have visited that spot many times over the past 27 years. I loved how it was walkable to the entrance of Snow Canyon and had unobstructed views of the red sand cliffs and a lava field with a trail. It was so peaceful sitting in my room with the door open, overlooking the lava field. Or lying in a hammock while watching the sunset colors on the red cliffs, or the moonrise, or a storm roll in. Losing my peaceful place to this overblown and overpriced "perfection is not for me." So, ultimately, they lost a customer. Also, it's the desert, and I just don't see how golf in the desert is sustainable with there already being a ton of golf. Everyone else can enjoy this, but I'm going to cry over the peace that was. 1 star because the staff were really nice and listened to me being upset about Red Mountain Resort being destroyed by the company they work for. But only 1 star because none of them have a deep understanding of what I loved about Red Mountain Resort with its funky older buildings, peace, and quiet. I'm in the minority but I stand by how I feel.

The reason for my updated review is to let you know what to expect since Amira changed from a…read morestaffed resort to strictly vacation rentals. We were here 1 1/2 years ago when it was a staffed resort. Now, it's a vacation rental with each unit owned by investors but managed by Red Rock Vacation Rentals. The problem is, this place wasn't designed to be vacation rental friendly. I own one in Sedona so I know what a vacation rental should offer its guests. Amira is in a residential neighborhood with no restaurants, bars or grocery stores. There are no food options on property so you will have to go out to get food. As a side note, there also weren't any food options when we stayed here before. That's just the way it is. The rooms are large and spacious -- the biggest fault is they are lacking kitchens. Every vacation rental I've ever stayed in has had a kitchen, even if only a basic one. There is a small refrigerator, older microwave and hot kettle in each room along with a K-Cup coffee maker. No cooktop, no large fridge and no place to prepare food. Prior to selling these as vacation rentals, I really wish they would have added small kitchenettes and a place outside to BBQ. My guess it was probably sold "as is" due to poor occupancy. The last time we were here was in September 2018 and there was hardly anyone here. OK, here are some specifics: PROS It's Quiet - There are about 50 rooms and there are only about 5 are occupied this week as far as I can tell. I don't know if it is because of COVID or just the time of the year, but it's a ghost town. I like that part but for some it could be considered a con. If you like privacy, you'll get it here. No screaming kids at the adults only pool either. Yay! Amira offers two large pools (one adult, one kid-friendly) and a hot tub - Nice pool facilities but wish there were more covered areas with fans as it was 107 here today. Clean Rooms and Grounds - With the exception of the pool water, both the grounds and rooms are very clean. I was shocked at how clean the room was. Nice job housekeeping! Pool had lots of greasy film and bugs floating on it with no skimmer to clean it myself. The 1-bedroom has a large outdoor patio/deck which plenty of room to relax. Pets are Welcome - It's alway nice to bring our dog with us. Make sure you ask for a pet friendly unit. Pet fee not bad. There is a nice park at the bottom of the hill (5 minute drive) where you can walk your pup. Nice Gym and Guest Laundry Area CONS The biggest drawback -- Not a vacation rental friendly place. No luggage carts, no kitchen or cooking area in the room and no BBQ area outside. The room has a small basic fridge and an old microwave. There are no instructions in the room for accessing WiFi. No food or beverage options on site or nearby. Just a few staff members wondering around during the day. Pool water dirty and pool chairs were falling apart and hard to operate. Pool towels in the room are horrible and don't cover the chairs. Had to buy some in town because I hate bad pool towels. Not in a Commercial Location - You'll need to drive to town for grocery shopping, food and beverage. It's about 15 minutes. BAD BED!!!! The bed mattress is really saggy on the sides and extremely uncomfortable. This place does not have heavenly beds, that's for sure. If your primary requirement is a good bed, I'd skip this place. No daily housekeeping option. No robes (we brought our own tho). Spa is closed but assuming its due to COVID. In short, they are promoting this as a vacation rental property when it isn't equipped to be one. Since our last visit, I've noticed the human/service touch is gone. Being here is almost like being in the twilight zone. :( Adding small kitchens in the rooms, a BBQ area and some nice pool furniture/towels would help to bring more life to this place. I wouldn't buy one of these units as an investment until this was done.

Beautifully designed, thoughtfully maintained, and surprisingly affordable for the level of amenities. When you first pull in, you're greeted by a water feature and a large, gorgeous building that sets the tone. Inside is check-in (staff were super friendly and accommodating), as well as a mercantile open to both guests and locals. They serve coffee, have snacks, t-shirts, and small essentials -- a great little touch. Walk through that main building and you enter the guest community space, which is outstanding. There's a pool table, piano, movie-watching area, card tables, and even a huge kitchen for gatherings. In the back, there's a room with air hockey, ping pong, and pinball. The building also houses the laundry room, plus multiple guest bathrooms. Step outside and you'll find a barbecue and outdoor seating area for entertaining. The pool complex is resort-level. A zero-entry pool with a fountain cascading from the center, a very large (kidney-shaped) hot tub that's shaded in the afternoon, plenty of seating, and an outdoor shower and bathroom for convenience. The whole area is beautifully fenced and landscaped. Towels are even provided. The park itself has around 150 sites -- spacious, landscaped, and well thought-out. Some newer sections are still being finished, but what's completed shows the level of detail: plants, flowers, and green grass between sites. It feels open and inviting, not crammed in like so many other RV parks. Down at the lower end of the park is a gem -- a pond with a bridge, market lights, catch-and-release fishing, paddle boats, a kayak, and a walking path around it. At night, with the lights reflecting off the water, it's stunning. There's even a small dog park nearby for your pup to stretch out. Between the design, amenities, and the atmosphere, this resort is in a class of its own. We've stayed at plenty of "resorts" that charged more but offered half as much. This place is the real deal, and we loved every minute of it. We'll absolutely be back.
