This company deserves an F for sure! Is there an option for 0 stars?! I paid for the classes for my son through Groupon. I didn't see a tating at the time, or I definitely wouldn't have gone with this company! When I called they said I also needed to pay an extra $110 for the certificate he'll need to take to DMV later. I wasn't happy about it, but paid for it. Then more trouble ensued. I scheduled two 2 hour sessions. The driver was late to the first one. He didn't call or text or anything. The instructor texted us 20 min before the second appointment asking if my son could be there immediately. What?! It takes 20 minutes to get places in San Diego. Are you gonna have us beamed up or something?! The instructor refused to make an appointment for the third lesson. He said we had to do that theough the office. Of course, it's been a week and we haven't been able to get hold of anyone in the office. Their hours are only in the afternoon, and their door has a sheet of paper on it that's been there for several years, apparently, showing sign ins from some of the people who have had the same problems with the company we are having. So far, no resolution in sight! But please, please don't get ripped off by these guys (who apparently also go by A Plus Driving School too). Kids and cars are already an expensive combination. This school is Bu*l sh*t. They will try and fool you with charges after your 6 hours completion. The people are not honest, and they somethimes dont even come for your appointment, and when they reschedule you, your spot is literally a month away. If you dont do your first behind the wheel within the first 100 days, you get charged a big amount (100 i believe). See what i mean? Part of my plan is that the last certificate is included, (the one saying i finished the 6 hours) but they try and charge you 25 dollars saying that DMV charges them, but DMV says they dont. I asked the owner, Victoria to call me and we can discuss why i am being charged, but i did not get a single call or email. The receptionist inside does not know what customer service. They also do not give receipts for the money you pay, so i suggest using your credit card. This company also does not use "official" learning cars with logos all over it. Its basically the instructors personal car. They honestly dont even teach you the 6 hours, they pair you up with 3 others and you get to drive for 45 minutes. This business practice is smart, but bad for the teens hittng the roads due to this school. The website says it includes certificates, but it doesnt. I suggest you stay away. Used to be good - Now very unprofessional I used World Wide a number of years ago for driver's training and found them to be great - Even recommended them to other families. This time around I find the company to be difficult to deal with. I pre-paid for drivers training for my teenaged son ... and have been given partial information or poor/rude treatment during the majority of my interactions with the office staff. It seems as thought they just don't care. They company is difficult to reach by phone. I did manage to get a hold of them and set up appointments for behind the wheel lessons (they will only do this for you between the hours of 1 to 4pm Monday through Friday). So far, on the two occasions when my son was to have a behind the wheel lesson with an instructor - they have called the day before and cancelled. You cannot re-schedule when they have you on the phone, you have to call back between 1 to 4pm the next day to reschedule, and they're so booked up that you have to wait weeks for another appointment. And when I say they are rude and just don't seem to care ... sometimes it's little subtle things like answering the phone with "Hello" instead of the company name and a "May I help you" ... or not ending the conversation before hanging up - so it feels like they hung up on you. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very unprofessional. read more

This is a sham! They have been sued more than 30 times by the customers they defrauded and they were on the news. They are known for taking your money without delivering the services. I purchased 20 hours of driving lessons from them and paid $550. The instructor never showed up. They ignored my phone calls even though they took my money. They continued to operate this fraudulent business despite numerous complaints against them. They received a rating of D- on Better Business Bureau. World Wide Driving School also operates under the fictitious business name A Plus Driving School and commits fraud consistently. This business should be shut down. Just look at the other negative reviews. Stay away! Beware, because if you try to bring up cases against them with BBB or DMV, they would make up false information and lie to them. They have been doing this for a long time. The "photos" of good reviews that they posted are also made up. You can tell by the way they were writtten. Also, if the business is good, why does the owner have to upload all these fake photos taken in ill lighting? The funniest thing is, in their contract, which they didn't mail you until after you paid, they wrote, "if the instructor never showed up, this business is not liable for any refund." My lawyer told me that this is the worst contract he had never seen in his entire career. This driving school is notorous in this area. According to public legal record the business desolved many years ago but is still operating illegally. This business will steal your money so stay away. They were on the news. This person named LOGAN is claiming my review is false and is calling me a liar. Now as a business owner myself I find this very puzzling. This place is awful. I got a Groupon through them and from the beginning all they cared about was collecting money and making sure I gave them a five star review before I had any classes. After that it was impossible to get a hold of anyone to get The first class scheduled. By the time I was over it and wanted a refund I was yelled at by this woman named Lindsay and somehow it was my fault. I have yet to receive the refund they promised to get to me in 7 to 10 business days. It's now been about 3 weeks and nobody is replying to my emails or answering my phone calls. This School is a SCAM! They charge fee after fee and do not respond to your emails, texts, messages because this company doesnt answer phones! They showed up 90 Minutes late and their Instructor, Gilbert said he called a bunch of times. He never called. Then he said he texted. The number he texted is a Landline. He then said he was supposed to arrive at 7 am. Yet when he shuffles his clipboard it clearly says 6 am to which he tried to hide after I pointed it out. After purchasing a 6 hour Behind the wheel on Groupon for $203, then another fee for $75, then yet another fee for $65, we are still battling for all of our refund. They claim their package is worth $595 even though Groupon says its a $369 value. Groupon also says six hours behind the wheel. When they show up, they have 3 other kids to divide the time between. Then they have the nerve to mention they told you or your kid this and that they have recorded the conversations. Uhm, that is ILLEGAL without telling the other party. Again, we know its not true as they will say anything to take the blame away from them. This company has many names to hide their wrongdoings. OCLA Driving, WorldWide Driving, Aplus Driving, to name a few. If you check the filtered section, you can see how they write their own reviews and complain about them getting filtered. Im sure they were not smart enough to realize they can track IP addresses! I went with a local school who after all of WorldWides fees, was over $90 CHEAPER and they show up, have one on one, answer their customers phone calls right away! I was enrolled in this program and I immediately regretted it. Didn't learn anything. Once, when I made a mistake of being unable to shift the gear to drive, the instructor became an a**hole during that session and the next few ones. Also, this school expects you to know how to drive already, which I didn't, and the instructor gave little to no instructions of how to drive around the area that I'm not even familiar with. This "driving school" is a joke! Our first appointment, no one showed up, no one called - yet the school is charging us for the lesson. The next lesson someone called "Robert" showed up an hour late, with another student in the car. He spent most of the "lesson" on his cell phone and texting, and insisted on having the radio on which was a distraction. Apparently, although we were never told this all lessons are two students to one instructor. How this is supposed to work is a mystery and not what we signed up for. Its impossible to get hold of anyone with any authority at this place - all you reach if you call their number, well most of the time no one answers the phone. But if you do get through, the receptionist really has no idea what is going on, has no idea when instructors will be available, and can do nothing to help rectify any of these problems. My son couldn't get in touch with the driving instructor for 3 weeks: repeated messages went unreturned as he tried to schedule his sessions, he was completely ignored. Nobody answers the phone during business hours (I tried severalmtimes). Interestingly, several hours aftwr we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, they called me back! So if you use this service, be prepared for the extra time and effort to register a complaint with the BBB in order for them to respond to you, otherwise good luck getting what you paid for. AWFUL services, the receptionists and the supervisor are so clueless! I registered to take classes and they charged me 200 dollars upfront, then i told them that i had to postpone my classes because I was taking school classes and they would overlap. The worker I talked to in the phone said that it was fine i could reschedule again, and months later when I did they said it was too late & they had changed company and they wouldn't give me any refunds! I don't even know where to begin...Their contract changes every month or so. Whenever something comes up, they always said, "Oh, but it was in the contract, blah blah." I picked up another contract that they gave to me and compared it to the original one that I signed. They changed a lot of crap on there. The person also doesn't even explains you the fees that you have to pay additionally. They were always late and couldn't drop me off on time. I was suppose to be home by five, but in the end, the instructors had to switch and the other one didn't even showed up. I had to ask another girl that was taking the driving lesson with me to give me a ride home. When you call them, they put you on hold for hours. They pick you up with other students in the car driving along with you, It's not one-on-one driving instruction. I took this driving program in HS back in 2009. Completed everythinh but when it was time to do the behind the wheel test. Theyre supposed to tell you an appt date to meet with the instructor. Well they didn't call me when they'll set the date and my friend who took the class with me was notified. This was around August 2009. Well i had to find their no. Online to call them when my appt was. They said August 29. Ok so i was ready and everything. Mind if you miss an appt there's a $50 fee. So i called two days before to confirm and guess what, they told me it was Sept 8. About two weeks later without even notifying me. So i went along samething happened. I finally got my apt to November and took the behind the wheel along with another girl scheduled for that day. We waited for the instructor at 9am at the highschool he finally showed up at 930. We drove around the area and i switched drivers with the girl. He told her to drive to lemon grove where this business is at and that's it.after we drive back to the high school in chula vista. The whole thing took 3 hrs. When you finish the btw you have to drive to the lemon grove location to get the gold rod paper to give to the dmv to take driver's test. Tne paper is$ 25. I was 16 at the time. So it was $89 for the btw class plus $25 paper fee. Bu the time u took my test i was already 18 and therewas no need to do all that stuff :/ read more

The price is the best, the experence with Betty and Gilbert was also the best. I'm very pleased every single time with Worldwide. My daughter signed up for online driving school through a plus driving school (which I guess is also Worlwide driving school) She signed up on the internet 9/24/13. I called on 9/25/13 and was told the cost would be free but you were required to to pay up front the $199 for the behind the wheel. They requested payment over the phone stating that she could not start the online course without a code or payment for behind the wheel. I reluctantly paid over the phone and was charged on 10/1/13 $234.00 (they stated that you had to pay them a cert fee for the DMV) they also stated that they would provide a number for her and send it to the DMV so that they would have her in their system when she went in to take her permit. My daughter started the online courses and although it took a lot longer than most (8.5 months to be exact) she finally finished on Sat 6/14/14. I called on Sun night 6/15/14 and left a message asking how to we go about getting the completion certificate so that we could take it to the DMV. I never got a call back so I called on Monday 6/16/14 and spoke with Betty who informed me that it had been too long and that they had to access her file which had been archived and that they would have to reinstate it. I was also told that the only way to get the online course free was to complete it within 90 days ( which we were never told in the beginning) also I was informed that we would have to pay the behind the wheel again as well as a certificate fee because it had been longer than 6 months. I was told that all that information was in the contract that should have been mailed to me. It never was and when I asked if they would mail me a copy now, she stated that we would have to come by with our ID and my daughter present as well to the office and they would give me a copy, they would not be able to mail me or email me a copy because it has been so long. I have read numerous complaints such as this and am furious. I wish I would not have been so naive and read all the reviews before choosing this school. I would just like for my daughter to be able to get her permit. And now I am afraid to have her do the behind the wheel because of all the horrible reviews and stories I have been reading. read more

The worst! Where should I even start? These folks go to high schools and rope unsuspecting students into enrolling. Once a student has completed the written part, the student tries to make an appointment for behind-the-wheel training, and it takes literally a month and a half to get an appointment! Then, they don't show up (two times out of three). To add insult to injury, when they do show up, it turns out to be a "group lesson," meaning they show up with other students, who share the two-hour time slot. Of course we were not told this, and it costs extra for a "private lesson." What a fly-by-night operation. Avoid at all costs! read more

I wish I had found all these names this "driving school" goes by, they should just change their name to A Plus Scumbags! They go by many different names, the one I got ripped off by was A Plus Driving School, when I googled that name it just took me to the Worldwide driving school and I see that the phone number matches. There's another name they go by, orange county driving school. Another name is A Driving school San Diego. I found these scumbags through Groupon, and from there it took me to their website which was called free driving school or something like that. When I called one of the numbers provided, some lady answered, told me about all their options they have, this was a gift for my son for Christmas, so soon after speaking with her she emailed me a nice gift certificate to give to my son which all seemed legit. Our driving lessons got rescheduled due to possible rain the following day, which it didn't rain but I just said to myself better safe than sorry. They gave me the next available date close to a month after!! We waited patiently...our driver was suppose to pick up my son at noon, at 8 in the morning I texted the number that texted me before about rescheduling the lessons to confirm our lessons at noon. My son waited by the window since 11:45, at 12:20 I called both numbers where no one answered and finally that woman calls me back, and she has no idea where the driver is. In couple minutes I received the text message from same number, guy's name is Leo, saying he texted me last night but probably texted a wrong number so our lessons are moved to 3 pm. We had already made plans to see family at that time so I said no that's not ok! I said I want my money, this is so disrespectful, and Leo assured me I'll get a full refund, well guess what....I only received $94 back, they kept $150 for themselves!! I've disputed the charge but they are providing the credit card company with some information. Well I'm not done, I want everyone to know what kind of nasty people you are. This was a Christmas gift for my son and you ruined it! Stay away from those phonies!! I wish I never found them. I tried everything, last thing was to just sue them but I'm a pregnant girl that's 8 months and the stress was too overwhelming so I decided to just forget about it. Met with one of the drivers (gilbert) once (who by the way, kept driving around another student on my time!!) and then after that, they would not make any appointment for me outside of my schedule EVEN THOUGH I PROVIDED MY FREE HOURS WELL AHEAD OF TIME TO THEM. This place is so unprofessional, stay away!!! After we paid for the 6 hour behind the wheel instruction we were informed that their first available class was a month away. I asked for a refund and they said they don't give a refund. I was so frustrated but I didn't do anything about it (my bad). The night before my son's first lesson they called and cancelled it because something happened to the teacher. They have a 48 hr cancellation policy but it's ok for them to cancel on the student in less time. When my son took his "2 hour" lesson there were 2 other kids in the car and he only drove for part of the time. I agree this is the absolute WORST driving school After enrolling my niecein this school I regretted it right away. Where do I start, well the first lesson we had scheduled for my niece at 7am no one ever showed up. we got call from receptionist that they are running late due to traffic (week end there was no traffic on google map!) Instructor called at 9.15 what is your address ! I want to call receptionist to make sure that same thing should not happen again and to let her know that we were able to get just an hour lesson only. There is no on in the office to answer the call even leave message but no one calls back. I never received a call back so I called again and finally after call all day I reached an actual person at 7.30pm. The rep. said will make sure instructor will be on time next time. So lesson 2 of waiting they showed up 1 hour late. When it came to scheduling rest of the lesson I called and called with several messages left and no return call what so ever. Eveyrtime I did reach a rep. at the office I was repeatedly told to call back at different times stating the scheduler is only available from 1-5pm. I called when I got off of work at 4:30pm and then was told they could only schedule from 1-4 of course I always waited on hold for 20+ min. just to speak with someone. When I finally got through to the office I was told that I may have to pay extra money because it had been over 30days since his first lesson. After 45 min. of arguing with the rep. I finally scheduled the 2 more lessons. Again at the next scheduled lesson no one showed up again and finally called me after one hour and asked for directions. How ridiculous to not get a call before the lesson. This driving school is the most unprofessional business I have ever come across. Please save yourself some anguish and don't sign up for this driving school. They cancelled my sons training session three times in a row. When they finally did a driving session with him it was from 7-9pm at night and there were three other students in the car. On top of that they didn't return with my son until 10:30 pm! An hour an a half late!! with no phone call to let me know that they were okay. I ended up calling the Cops! In response to Logan comments whom I never was privilege to speak with on... Wow.. The only sad thing is way this business conduct business and still have license to operate. I am truly stunned by the company response to portray me as a frustrated individual who lashing out on them because I appear to be going through a tough time. First of all, I only expressed extreme frustration is when they drafted out my account without my consent, causing my account to be overdrawn. When I spoke the representative the first time to verify what had happened, she had explained and also suggested I review a contract that I was unaware of and after I reviewed it I did not see it noted in the contract where I was going to be charged the additional amount that was drafted out of my account, I then was advised to forward the the contact that was sent to me to be reviewed. After the company reviewed the contract they decided to respond by email advising they have refunded my account and terminated the service. The refund they are talking about was the return of funds they drafted out of my account without my authorization. I paid $199 for the behind the wheel up front for my daughter to complete six hours, and now I am told I need to go to another company to complete the last two hours, which intern they will charge me. I may expressed to them that I would rather for my daughter to finish the program with them, per I was recently laid off and do not have the means to pay to a new company. I am not angry about my lay off, I have been in the mortgage industry for over 15 years and this in not uncommon for this type of business, plus I have a loving supporting family and husband and am extremely blessed, but I am not willing to pay for something that I have already paid for, being employed or not. I have never threaten the company but only to say if this matter could not be resolved that I will file a formal complaint and take them to small claim court, and at the end of the email I would say "I would prefer to handle this matter without seeking legal action", and there final response was they were terminating my service because they felt I was un happy and I would be more satisfied by going to another company. They totally missed the point, my daughter had only two hours left, it would be easier and simpler for me to have her complete the process with them, it was not like this was her regular school, which we would have deal with them on daily basis. In all my years I have never been drawn to have to go to court, file complaints. Yes, I have been un happy with services and treated unfair, that's life, but in this instance this company totally had no right to terminate our service, as I noted in my review I did not have a problem until my account account was drafted from without my consent. I wanted them to provide proof of what the fee was for, never saying I would not pay it, if in fact I was required too. I needed them to return the unauthorized funds back to my account to clear any negative action that was charged to me from my bank then we could have cleared up the matter on hand. This company speaks for themselves, not everyone review is made up and not everyone is going to be happy with their service and then their are some that will, that is the neck of the business. But one day, one un happy customer will be herd, and maybe that voice will be the one to have this company business to be finally shut down. I waited until my son completed this program before writing this review. I hope others read it and do not use this service. I signed my son up for Worldwide Driving School and had a frustrating experience from beginning to end. Some of the issues that we experienced were: The price they quoted for the program ($199) did not cover the certificates required from the DMV, so expect to pay an additional $100.00 plus, they refer to a contract but would not provide me with one even after asking for it several times, we had a horrible time trying to schedule appointments (note that everything here is on a time limit/expiration and if the times runs out, you will be billed additional charges), we even went so far as to go the the Executive Building and were not granted access to visit the business, when I spoke to Betty the next day (after leaving SEVERAL messages) she stated that she was there and could not understand why she didn't get our request for entry. I had my son visit the convenience store located next to the Executive Building and purchase a beverage just to have a time/ date stamped receipt as proof that we were there. I am so glad that we did this as they wanted to charge us a "no show fee" for an appointment. It was also not disclosed that the behind the wheel sessions are conducted in a group, therefore if your student has a 2 hour session with three other students, they will get MINIMAL behind the wheel time. Okkay to begin with I would not recommend worldwide driving school at LEMON GROVE this is the worst place you could go to get your driving lessons at. Worldwide could be better at other places but not Lemon Grove! They are unproffesional. THEY just want your money and when they get it they act like if your a stranger. I always waited for my papers once finishing the classes online to be mailed and they never sent them and told me to talk to postal service. I would highly recommend this school. The service is very good and fair, i was reading some of these reviews and I know we as obsessed computer freaks now a days only write something if its bad, i have to admit, i do it all day long, especially to lady gaga!! but then i go out and buy all her cds and we do it to these other businesses also and yet we use there services, anyways time to speak the truth, if you are mad its usually because you did something stupid yourself. The company helped me and many of my friends out and was a great and very smooth process,although very busy at times, is worth the wait. The worse school ever. No instruction at all and plan on having your behind the wheel appointments cancelled ever time. The office staff is useless and when you leave a message they will not return your call. Terrible, I do not recommend it at all. read more

i just graduated with my class at morris highschool. They have good service and very reasonable prices and are very easy to work with. If you are looking for good services and prices to go with it this is a great driving school. read more

This school is bullshit. When I did the lessons the guy was always half an hour to an hour late. I only got an hour and a half of driving. And he taught me nothing. All we did was drive to the other persons house to pick them up for the lesson and that was my lesson for the day. They never gave me a refund for the hours that i didnt get. read more
