After reporting that all the seams where they had caulked had shrunk, cracked and split apart, they came out to review it and take pictures. They then called and said they would fix it. Eventually they sent someone out and they proceeded to do the exact same thing they did before which was paint the caulking before it had a chance to dry let alone cure. I watched them caulk it and then come immediately after and paint it not 5 minutes later. Everyone knows that caulking should fully cure for 24 hours before you try to paint it otherwise it will do exactly what it did (Google it). Sure enough, a week later the same places where they caulked and painted are pulling apart, cracking and splitting...imagine that. Now I will have to hire another company to come along behind them and fix their mistakes since they will not do it correctly themselves. read more

Wow 1 Day painted my kitchen cabinets and they did a really excellent job. They fully taped off the kitchen and removed all drawers, etc. They were super careful with cleanliness and put down drop clothes / etc in all walkways and important areas. They were really friendly, communicative, and efficient. They also went above and beyond - it snowed and they cleared my front walk so they didn't track in too much snow (I hadn't had a chance to shovel yet). They also put in cabinet bumpers on the top and bottom cabinets, even though I only had them paint the bottom cabinets. The price was a bit lower / commensurate with other quotes I got. I would say the timeframe they offered and completed was faster. I have other paint jobs I'd like completed in the future and I will definitely call them back. read more

Alexis came on time for the estimate and that was really appreciated. The only reason I feel I must give two stars is because of the price. I went with another top company in town referred by my Realtor and they did an outstanding job. WOW Painting was $2,500 more than the other licensed company that has a five star rating on Yelp and other sites. Both estimates were the same job during the same time frame. I was quite surprised that they were so much HIGHER for the same job. I usually expect a few hundred difference but not so much. The money I saved will help my dollars go further in a home I bought in Somerset that needed total updating. Alexis was friendly and on time but I just could not justify the price for my 2,500 sq ft home when some areas were not even being painted. REPLY TO YOUR COMMENT: Sorry but it makes no difference if you come dressed in uniforms as long as the job is done right and at the right price. I had two other estimates from top companies that had stellar reviews and both of them were very close in price. YOURS was $2,500 more for the same job. The company who did the work did fantastic job and I am happy my Realtor hooked me up with them. They even gave extra's since it was before the Hoildays and they were not super busy. These guys are quite overpriced. I got an estimate of over $2100 for just two sections of a three bedroom house! Previously, I had three sections painted for about $500. Alexis was courteous, but I'm sure that's part of their sale closing effort (much like a car salesman). Of course, I dropped the project and will hire a painter with saner estimates. You get what you pay for. No better than I could do myself. Trim paint slopped on wall paint, hardware painted over. The paint job was over original interior 1932 woodwork. The job was suppose to include 1) sanding 2) priming 3) 2 coats of top coat paint. By the way it is wearing and chipping 1 1/2 year later, I doubt that very much. Where it has chipped, it is very thin. I left the house while they were painting - big mistake. If you do end up using them stay, supervise make sure they do not cut corners. They did not use tape between the trim and the walls and therefore there was trim paint slopped on the walls and not cleaned off. I stopped in once and found the using the wrong color on an area. Yes, they will be the cheapest bid and it will be tempting but if you accept do not leave, stay and watch. Also make sure you include in the bid things that you will think would be obvious like: paint both sides of the door and remove hardware before painting. Even better pay the extra money and get a professional job. read more

We have a house older than 100 years. It was due for an exterior paint job so we requested bids from several local companies. Wow 1 Day was the most comprehensive and professional during the bid process. We accepted their bid and they scheduled the work. The crew was extremely professional and courteous. The lead techs on the job were amazing! They treated our house and property with care and we couldn't be happier with the results. Aside from some scheduling issues, the company was very prompt and arrived when they said they would. They got our bottoms kitchen cabinets painted very quickly! They all worse masks which we very much appreciated because I am high risk and we have young kids in the home who can't wear masks. They were all kind and kept us updated on the project. My rating isn't because the paint job. They did wonderful work, fair prices, and nice and friendly staff. The problem is that one of the painters spilled a coffee on the carpet and didn't say anything to us. We found out by stepping in it. This is a brand new house that we have lived in for a week in a spare room. Waiting for the company to make this right! Haven't heard anything back since I sent the invoice for carpet cleaning that they offered to cover. But I also sent photos and told them the stain wasn't out. We will see what they will do to correct this but until then my rating is what it is! Update: Alexis who was good to work with brought over a check to cover the carpet cleaning. The carpet cleaners couldn't get the stain out. When we were having our tile and granite sealed the owner of that company who also does commercial carpets sprayed some stuff on it and it is much better. Livable! Overall wow painting did a good job. There are some areas that need some touch up but nothing I can't do myself. read more

We are a neighbor of a house painted by this company. I must say their painters are very inconsiderate. We live in a cul-de-sac. The painters parked as many as three trucks in front of their driveway making it very difficult for us to get out of our house. On our garbage day, a truck was parked blocking or garbage bin from being picked up. It was obvious to anyone it would block it. The truck was moved after I yelled and asked them to move it. I understand that they could come in park, take in their paint and equipment. But got the sake of the neighbors move their trucks to the street, where there is plenty of parking and it is only a 50 yard walk. I tried to contact the business and they do not have a local number. The Corp representative said he would get the info to local owner to contact me - never got a call. Obviously, a National franchise with a local contact who subs out contract painters who don't give a damn! read more

Wow connected me with a contractor named Alexis. Unfortunately my experience wasn't great. I was cancelled on last minute for the initial scope out of the job. We rescheduled, and once we finally met, I was told that I would get a quote within a couple days. A week had passed since the quote meeting, and I still hadn't heard anything. I called Wow's customer service, and was told the contractor would be in touch within a day. It's now been almost 4 weeks since our meeting, and I have yet to hear back. Just finished having our house painted and deck stained. Alexis listened to what we were looking for (and to my boys who talked to him incessantly) and priced out all the things we wanted done but weren't sure we could afford (the deck and shed). When they called to ask what color we decided on I told them I felt lost. Dave offered to come meet with us to help us choose. I took him up on that. It was so nice to have a professional's opinion and the colors on the house turned out great! We did have an issue with the deck color not matching up (homedepot's fault, not theirs. They normally use Sherwin Williams but since the stain I still had left had came from homedepot they got it there). I bugged Dave on the weekend and he even got back to me before Monday. They came back out and took care if it. The crew was awesome as well. They chatted with my boys and cleaned up after themselves. One thing I really appreciated was the communication. When they finished, Ken asked if everything was to our satisfaction. I really appreciated the opportunity to share something in a non awkward way, even though we had nothing but positive remarks. Also, we tried to get 3 quotes. The first lady had a license number on her card, but when my husband looked it up it expired in 2011, the next guy refused to paint the house because of the steep pitch of our roof and WOW painting was almost the same price as the unlicensed lady, with the security of a valid license! I was VERY impressed with WOW, from the initial interaction in arranging a quote, to the final handshake after the job was complete. Alexis, the project coordinator, arrived to give me an estimate after asking a few questions and taking some measurements. I needed the baseboards on my first floor patched and painted, and the quote was very reasonable. Just two days later, they had an opening to complete the work (which took two guys about 7 hours.) The foreman, Ken, and his employee were very professional, efficient, and respectful. After they finished the job, Ken asked if he could clean my kitchen floor, even though there were only like two minuscule dust bunnies after the job. I told him not to worry about it, that I would clean it up myself, but he insisted!
