Right up front, I'd like to get some caveats/minor gripes out the way. While these might not necessarily be within this establishment's control, folks coming here should be forewarned about the parking. As the page states, there is street and garage parking; both of which are paid. Whilst I'm not sure exactly how much street parking is, normal garage parking is $2 per hour, cash only. However, this was the 3rd of July. Which meant there was a fireworks show scheduled that evening (little to our knowledge at the time). Which also meant...."pay us 10 bucks right now" to park. So, we did. Good thing I had a 10 dollar bill on hand, eh? Well, I guess there's an elevator tucked away on the side furthest from the pool hall. If you're not able to find that, you'll end up like wifey and I climbing 4 flights of stairs till our lungs give out from hyperventilation. Option 2 would have been to walk WAY too many feet over to where ever the hell the supposed elevator was. In other words, we had neither the patience nor energy left to go on a scavenger hunt for the elevator. Anyways, things get better once you've survived the endurance of city parking. The interior of this place immediately told me we were in a legit 21+ bar and games establishment. The decorum is inviting and really sets the mood for a fun night out with friends and whatnot. You get your table at the front register. Prices were fair all around. I think I only paid 7 bucks per glass of wine, too. The billiards hall has the type of service you'd come to expect in such a lounge. The servers wander the tables to accommodate any orders or requests. Take caution: they do not allow beverages to be taken with you into the restroom (not sure why anyone would do this, considering the hygienic concerns with that...but whatevs). So, don't get caught up like that one guy who may or may not have a drinking problem. Moving on.. The tables themselves are level and sturdy. Plenty of cue sticks available or you can bring your own as we do. Everything looked clean and kept up. This may seem minor, but it's a big deal. I've certainly visited my fair share of billiards halls where the restrooms were so gross, I wanted to order a hazmat suit prior to using the john. Not the case with Legends though. The late Queen Elizabeth herself would have been proud to sit upon this porcelain thrown. The staff were johnny-on-the-spot. I really don't know what else to say about them...other than they were easily worth the 25% tip. But I'm torn on whether or not we'll return and it's for a slightly complicated reason. Basically, we'd easily return for the establishment itself and everything they have to offer (we've yet to try any of the food here). However, it's the parking situation I detest so much that holds me back. I dunno. Perhaps I'll work up the nerve, grin and bare it, and just force myself into the sardine can of a parking lot across the street once again. Perhaps I can manage to park closer to the elevators next time. A close, conveniently priced hot spot for those feeling froggy enough to have a rousing game of darts, billiards, and whatever else. Legends & Billiards Tavern receives 4 brilliant side-pocket shots out of 5.

I bought my wife a cue stick for league match when we join in a few weeks. It was a decent used condition. Figured i would get it at 60 percent of retail. Sadly my cell phone was dead and i didnt have a way to check the retail. I was not familair with the cue. seems i paid over retail for a used cue. Not happy about that. but it is what it is. BUT iif there was one complaint and why i will never return. This room was probably 20k square feet. and they had 1 single wall unit ac and it wasn't doing crap. it was 90 degrees outside. and 95 inside. I was covered in sweat after a single game. we waited for a table to open about 15 minutes. when the league play started. and i heard people left and right complaining. when i sat and drank a soda it was warm inside. but when we started to shoot the ball. i couldn't even see the ball half the time due to the sweat falling into my eyes. everyone was complaining about the heat. An why it was so packed. it was a league match and they had to be there or loose. They where not happy about the heat. if the owners cant afford ac. I dont see busters being here in 2026

I used to take advantage of the six hour special, which was all-you-can-play pool for $5 from noon to 6 PM on weekdays, except in the summer, when they closed most weekdays in the daytime. I was in training to become a professional pool player and needed the table time to up my game. I started out in their showroom, which doubled as their non-smoking room, since I didn't like smoke. After a few weeks, I just sucked it up and moved to their main room since it was very lonely in the enclosed showroom, since no one ever went there. Plus they had the better Simonis (tournament) cloth on the front tables outside. In my time there, I played on a number of local tours and in Busters' own in-house tournaments, which were weighted. There were weighted 9-ball and 8-ball tournaments, a few of which I won or placed in the money. Frank had just joined in a the "Four Tour" league with pool halls in Portland, Sanford, and Waterville, and I played in that too. The most exciting time was when they hosted the New Hampshire State 8-Ball Championships, and I got to watch some extremely talented players. At the time, there was a small snack bar up front, as well as a small pro shop. One of the employees also did work on cue sticks on his lathe. They always had the TV on up front. I liked it when they had ESPN's 9-ball matches on, usually with Allison Fisher. Most others there didn't want the channel on that though. I am not sure why, since it was a pool hall after all. Frank actually started giving me free lessons after a while, which I appreciated. All in all, I had a good time and learned a lot. No complaints from me. By the way, I see the new owners have put a lot of their games on their Facebook page, including live videos (https://www.facebook.com/pg/BustersBilliards/videos/). Very nice! The first beer was $6 and I left a $1 tip, the second beer he recommended - the most expensive beer they had, I think $8 or $9(whatever, it was really good) and I left another $1 tip. The charge I had a few days later was $14 for the second beer. It wasn't a mistake, the bartended deliberately overcharged. I wonder how many people don't check their credit card charges just to have this place skimming money from their tabs?

What truly elevated the experience from excellent to exceptional was the service.
