I haven't been here, so I decided to go, and omg, this place is amazing. It's like Chipotle, but for poke. The service is great; they help you through the process of creating your own poke bowl. The ingredients were so fresh. It's a hole-in-the-wall, not your usual location. I would definitely recommend it, and I'll go again.

Wow. Flavor is 10/10. We are blown away of the simplicity and authenticity of this poke. A must try. From now on it will be our stop when we are in the area

Quaint eatery to enjoy a bowl of delicious Poki!

Delicious and fresh Poki bowl of brown rice, avocado, onion, crab meat with spicy tuna, salmon and albacore topped with medium spicy sauce! So good you'd want to come back for more in this quaint poki eatery! Service is friendly and helpful.

First time here and it was a delicious hole in the wall poke shop with fresh and tender seafood! We got a regular (3 proteins, ~$15) and large (5 proteins, ~$17) bowls. I was pleasantly surprised by the protein amount because most places have their regular set at 2 proteins! Their topping and selections were perfectly minimal to not overwhelm your bowl with too much flavor. The avocado wasn't an additional charge either!! There's ample parking and 2 outdoor patio seating areas. The back seating area was so cute with lots of plants~

This is the second time I've been here and after I ate lunch here with my wife I wondered why I haven't been here more often. The poke is delicious! My wife and I ordered the large bowl which we split --- and it was plenty large for us to split. We had brown rice as a base, avocado, cucumbers and crab meat as a second layer of ingredients followed by five types of fish (that's a large variety for any poke place --- but only for the large size): spicy tuna, salmon, tuna, albacore and yellowtail. Then we had seaweed, ginger, green onion, furikake layered over it with wasabi on the side. It was a really filling meal with very fresh fish and ingredients. The woman who served us behind the counter was very friendly. The restaurant has a very pleasant indoor and outdoor area to dine. It's a really nice spot for poke and I'll make a point to return more frequently.

I love visiting San Juan Capistrano for a number of reasons, Wowpoki ranking among the highest! The portability of poke lends itself perfectly to some scenic picnic options nearby. Nestled in an out-of-the-way, tree lined parking lot just a mile or two from downtown and the Mission, al fresco diners can choose from the outdoor seating at the restaurant, or El Camino Real and Junipero Serra Park, both located nearby. Each of these parks are beautiful options with picnic tables, parking and ammenities. The restaurant has a family-run vibe, is clean, and offers lots of options for customizing the perfect bowl of poke! Servers prepare the poke to your liking, offering a base of white or brown rice, leafy greens, or a mixture of any of the above. Protien options include salmon, tuna, albacore, spicy tuna, scallops, and shrimp. With all of the usual toppings provided, the ingredients are noticeably fresh, and the portions are generous. I appreciated the server inquired about my spice level preference. Many of the "assemble your own poke bowl" restaurants also allow patrons to customize their own sauces, and I find that intimidating. I like leaving this important aspect of the dish to the experts. The food is really yummy here. The fish is fresh, the salad greens are crisp and flavorful, and they also sell miso soup and beverages. The patio is dog-friendly, and quiet, with a suburban neighborhood vibe. Wowpoke ranks highly as one of my all time favorite poke restaurants.

This is the best bang for your buck poke spot in town! Been coming here since high school and they never let me down. Over the years their price has steadily increased but compared to others around town, a large, at 5 fresh protein scoops, is $17.50 with unlimited toppings. Fully customizable, line style service. Staff is friendly, but depending who you get, sometimes will skimp on portions. Two patios on both sides, wheelchair accessible. Cute, small little spot with checkered floorboards in old plaza in San Juan. A must try if you're in town.

Cute little place. A bit less serving for $15 that I paid. But great to try. It taste so refreshing and the server prepared it very clean. Lots of parking

Awesome little Poke spot near downtown San Juan Capistrano! I really liked that this location was near the downtown area, but not in it. It was a nice break from the crowds. Their parking lot is easily accessible, the restaurant itself is quite small/narrow but they've used their space wisely and have tons of seating options both inside and out. The staff were super friendly and the poke was very fresh! Serving sizes are generous, I ordered a small bowl and could not finish it, lucky for me I was able to get a second meal out of it. Thanks for a great experience Wowpoki! I will definitely be back if I find myself in the area.

After visiting dana point caves, I was craving for a poke, so we did a spontaneous poke run at this mom & pop shop in san juan capistrano which ended up being rly nice :) restaurant was located in a very quiet area so we were the only patrons (aka introvert heaven). We ordered the large which comes with 5 proteins, with an extra scoop of spicy tuna bc didn't realize the first scoop would be mixed in the poke haha. I love how avocados are included in all the toppings and not counted as "extra" lol I'm used to being very extra so it was nice not having to be. Everything tasted fresh and service was warm & friendly. So glad we made the visit on our way back home!

The…read morerestaurant is based on a Hawaiian/ filipino fusion and everything down to their classic dishes has a flare to it. My favorite part of the dishes had to be the garlic fried rice- it was perfectly crispy, the flavor was on point and not too salty + the rice was cooked just right. I love a savory breakfast and Breezy delivered with the Longganisa breakfast bowl. I would definitely add the vinegar although I normally don't add it to my breakfast it adds a nice tangy touch. They do get very busy and don't take reservations so I would recommend you get there early or put your name down + occupy a few hours because it can take a while to get a table. They do have to go coffee which is nice if you are looking for a quick latte + pastry. There is very limited seating, only two bathrooms so the line can get pretty long and sometimes the bar seating is assigned not first come first serve. After about 30 min we asked the hostess if we were able to let us order coffee while we waited for our table, the answer was yes, absolutely. Baristas never gave us a look of acknowledgment that we were waiting at the register to order (for about 6-7 min), we ended up getting a text for our table before she even looked up at us. The coffees were ok. Not strong, barely a coffee taste, light flavor from toppings. Seemed watered down. We ordered Cali lattes, BBL, coco niu. My niece enjoyed her matcha though, said it was good tho could have had more of a matcha taste. There was variety in menu so we expected them to be pretty good. It's not a coffee shop, so no big deal but I would have probably been better off getting a regular drip coffee. Food was ok. Ribeye bowl was probably the best ribeye was perfectly seasoned, very flavorful. The Filipino inspired dishes were ok, not very authentic and served with spinach... didn't quite go with the adobo bowl in my opinion. Longanisa was standard, garlic rice ok. All the sweet dishes were good - ube French toast and one pancakes. I think the American style items and sweets are safe, but the Filipino/hawaiian/islander inspired dishes were a bit weak. I was really excited for this place, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me.

The OG was a little bland for my taste but it was still enjoyable. The wasabi mixed with the OG was definitely more flavorful. Given all the hype I was expecting a bit more flavor overall. The fish itself was fresh and good quality with no fishy aftertaste. The rice, however, was a little dry. The portions were also smaller than I expected for the price and the extra charges for toppings can add up pretty quickly. Overall, it was a decent spot to try if you're in the area but I personally wouldn't go out of my way to visit again. Good quality fish but it didn't quite live up to the hype based on my experience.

Just very very casual and not totally comfortable. Food- 3.4/4 out of 5 - I got the Luau plate and LOVED the chicken!! Everyone else was right- that chicken thigh deserves its own plate. I also really enjoyed the coconut pudding/jello thing that came with it and the sausage link. The pulled pork was just okay, not very well seasoned but not bad. The side of "dressed greens" was just some lettuce without dressing on it, and I thought the macaroni salad was fine. The last thing that really disappointed me were the sautéed veggies :/ they were just soo oily and had no seasoning to them at all. I didn't eat any of them or the un-dressed 'salad'. My husband got the chicken katsu plate, he said the chicken katsu was fine but the fries on the side were cold and not crispy, they were kind of chalky in the mouth and didn't taste fresh. Some parts were definitely a 3/5 but my chicken thigh was so good and the portions are *huge* so I feel like they deserve a 4/5? All in all, I think I'd come back if I wanted to go out with someone but save some money and we'd split one of the plates (the portions really are huge).
