Stopped by on our way down from a road trip. It is located in a business plaza snuggled in between the center of a building. It is tiny but just enough space for what they serve. They have plenty of parking spaces due to its location and have seating available outside of both the front and back door and inside. They have one restroom available inside which was clean. They have water cups available next to the fountain drink machine. The instructions are clearly visible on the printed out colorful menu, the glass window and on the board above. So it was really easy to see what to do to build your bowl. It seemed like it was Korean own as both staff spoke Korean and the spicy sauce tasted like it was based on the Korean spicy gochujang sauce which went well with the poke. If you need something not spicy at all, just ask and they will show you the options. Once you pick your seafood options, they will mix them in a bowl together with the sauce and then place it on top of your base (rice, salad or chips) next to the other toppings you chose. I loved that they mixed it so that in each bite I'm not just eating one type of fish. Their miso soup was stronger than other Japanese restaurants where they are pretty bland or light. We definitely enjoyed it. The staff were both super friendly and were patient with all their customers. The portion was pretty big and the ratio of the topping to the rice was perfect. read more

This is the second time I've been here and after I ate lunch here with my wife I wondered why I haven't been here more often. The poke is delicious! My wife and I ordered the large bowl which we split --- and it was plenty large for us to split. We had brown rice as a base, avocado, cucumbers and crab meat as a second layer of ingredients followed by five types of fish (that's a large variety for any poke place --- but only for the large size): spicy tuna, salmon, tuna, albacore and yellowtail. Then we had seaweed, ginger, green onion, furikake layered over it with wasabi on the side. It was a really filling meal with very fresh fish and ingredients. The woman who served us behind the counter was very friendly. The restaurant has a very pleasant indoor and outdoor area to dine. Servers prepare the poke to your liking, offering a base of white or brown rice, leafy greens, or a mixture of any of the above. Protien options include salmon, tuna, albacore, spicy tuna, scallops, and shrimp. With all of the usual toppings provided, the ingredients are noticeably fresh, and the portions are generous. I appreciated the server inquired about my spice level preference. Many of the "assemble your own poke bowl" restaurants also allow patrons to customize their own sauces, and I find that intimidating. I like leaving this important aspect of the dish to the experts. The food is really yummy here. The fish is fresh, the salad greens are crisp and flavorful, and they also sell miso soup and beverages. The fish color you could tell is not the best quality, the options of sides were good and sauce flavors were favorable. Lots of seating outdoor, they have a back and front entrance with seating inside as well. It's in a business center/office so you would miss it if you're not looking for the name of place. Awesome little Poke spot near downtown San Juan Capistrano! I really liked that this location was near the downtown area, but not in it. It was a nice break from the crowds. Their parking lot is easily accessible, the restaurant itself is quite small/narrow but they've used their space wisely and have tons of seating options both inside and out. Little hole in the wall hidden a couple blocks from downtown San Juan. Fish is good quality, no complaints there. Prices have been raised twice since I've moved down to south county last year to the point where it's 20+ dollars for a large poke bowl. If portions were slightly increased to justify the price point I'd be more than happy to return. Portions may be very skimpy depending on who is serving the fish, which has been the case my last few visits unfortunately. Overall- food is tasty and staff is nice but the price point and portions are becoming harder to justify by the day. read more

After visiting dana point caves, I was craving for a poke, so we did a spontaneous poke run at this mom & pop shop in san juan capistrano which ended up being rly nice :) restaurant was located in a very quiet area so we were the only patrons (aka introvert heaven). We ordered the large which comes with 5 proteins, with an extra scoop of spicy tuna bc didn't realize the first scoop would be mixed in the poke haha. I love how avocados are included in all the toppings and not counted as "extra" lol I'm used to being very extra so it was nice not having to be. In simple words, delicious. It's a nice little shop that has a back entrance that most people enter through. They have all the usual from salad, bowls, and more. Fastest Poki I've ever gotten I found WowPoki through a quick Yelp search whole in San Juan Capistrano. I was drawn in by other reviewers photos and had to stop by. It looked fresh and traditional, which was a huge plus for me. They're in a small shopping center and have a front and back entrance, both have outdoor seating.
