Me and my girlfriend are regulars here like 5 days a week sadly bcs they're closed Saturday Sunday, I like my bowl simple but they have a lot of great options I got a large bowl xtra crab meat avocado and large comes with 5 scoops of meat I did all tuna and a ice cream and my gf got a regular bowl same works and a large drink for $45 come check em out their the sweetest people

Stopped by on our way down from a road trip. It is located in a business plaza snuggled in between the center of a building. It is tiny but just enough space for what they serve. They have plenty of parking spaces due to its location and have seating available outside of both the front and back door and inside. They have one restroom available inside which was clean. They have water cups available next to the fountain drink machine. The instructions are clearly visible on the printed out colorful menu, the glass window and on the board above. So it was really easy to see what to do to build your bowl. It seemed like it was Korean own as both staff spoke Korean and the spicy sauce tasted like it was based on the Korean spicy gochujang sauce which went well with the poke. If you need something not spicy at all, just ask and they will show you the options. Once you pick your seafood options, they will mix them in a bowl together with the sauce and then place it on top of your base (rice, salad or chips) next to the other toppings you chose. I loved that they mixed it so that in each bite I'm not just eating one type of fish. Their miso soup was stronger than other Japanese restaurants where they are pretty bland or light. We definitely enjoyed it. The staff were both super friendly and were patient with all their customers. The portion was pretty big and the ratio of the topping to the rice was perfect.

I haven't been here, so I decided to go, and omg, this place is amazing. It's like Chipotle, but for poke. The service is great; they help you through the process of creating your own poke bowl. The ingredients were so fresh. It's a hole-in-the-wall, not your usual location. I would definitely recommend it, and I'll go again.

First time here and it was a delicious hole in the wall poke shop with fresh and tender seafood! We got a regular (3 proteins, ~$15) and large (5 proteins, ~$17) bowls. I was pleasantly surprised by the protein amount because most places have their regular set at 2 proteins! Their topping and selections were perfectly minimal to not overwhelm your bowl with too much flavor. The avocado wasn't an additional charge either!! There's ample parking and 2 outdoor patio seating areas. The back seating area was so cute with lots of plants~

This is the second time I've been here and after I ate lunch here with my wife I wondered why I haven't been here more often. The poke is delicious! My wife and I ordered the large bowl which we split --- and it was plenty large for us to split. We had brown rice as a base, avocado, cucumbers and crab meat as a second layer of ingredients followed by five types of fish (that's a large variety for any poke place --- but only for the large size): spicy tuna, salmon, tuna, albacore and yellowtail. Then we had seaweed, ginger, green onion, furikake layered over it with wasabi on the side. It was a really filling meal with very fresh fish and ingredients. The woman who served us behind the counter was very friendly. The restaurant has a very pleasant indoor and outdoor area to dine. It's a really nice spot for poke and I'll make a point to return more frequently.

Wow. Flavor is 10/10. We are blown away of the simplicity and authenticity of this poke. A must try. From now on it will be our stop when we are in the area

I love visiting San Juan Capistrano for a number of reasons, Wowpoki ranking among the highest! The portability of poke lends itself perfectly to some scenic picnic options nearby. Nestled in an out-of-the-way, tree lined parking lot just a mile or two from downtown and the Mission, al fresco diners can choose from the outdoor seating at the restaurant, or El Camino Real and Junipero Serra Park, both located nearby. Each of these parks are beautiful options with picnic tables, parking and ammenities. The restaurant has a family-run vibe, is clean, and offers lots of options for customizing the perfect bowl of poke! Servers prepare the poke to your liking, offering a base of white or brown rice, leafy greens, or a mixture of any of the above. Protien options include salmon, tuna, albacore, spicy tuna, scallops, and shrimp. With all of the usual toppings provided, the ingredients are noticeably fresh, and the portions are generous. I appreciated the server inquired about my spice level preference. Many of the "assemble your own poke bowl" restaurants also allow patrons to customize their own sauces, and I find that intimidating. I like leaving this important aspect of the dish to the experts. The food is really yummy here. The fish is fresh, the salad greens are crisp and flavorful, and they also sell miso soup and beverages. The patio is dog-friendly, and quiet, with a suburban neighborhood vibe. Wowpoke ranks highly as one of my all time favorite poke restaurants.

This is the best bang for your buck poke spot in town! Been coming here since high school and they never let me down. Over the years their price has steadily increased but compared to others around town, a large, at 5 fresh protein scoops, is $17.50 with unlimited toppings. Fully customizable, line style service. Staff is friendly, but depending who you get, sometimes will skimp on portions. Two patios on both sides, wheelchair accessible. Cute,small little spot with checkered floorboards in old plaza in San Juan. A must try if you're in town.

Awesome little Poke spot near downtown San Juan Capistrano! I really liked that this location was near the downtown area, but not in it. It was a nice break from the crowds. Their parking lot is easily accessible, the restaurant itself is quite small/narrow but they've used their space wisely and have tons of seating options both inside and out. The staff were super friendly and the poke was very fresh! Serving sizes are generous, I ordered a small bowl and could not finish it, lucky for me I was able to get a second meal out of it. Thanks for a great experience Wowpoki! I will definitely be back if I find myself in the area.

Fastest Poki I've ever gotten I found WowPoki through a quick Yelp search whole in San Juan Capistrano. I was drawn in by other reviewers photos and had to stop by. It looked fresh and traditional, which was a huge plus for me. They're in a small shopping center and have a front and back entrance, both have outdoor seating. Fish was very fresh with authentic coloring. Service was great and made the first time process a breeze! I wish I lived closer to their location; otherwise I would come here more regularly. read more

I used to love this place. Don't believe me? I've checked in nearly 50 times and I probably didn't check in another 20 times. I have NEVER visited any local restaurant more than this one but this will be my last time. Why? Because they don't enforce the mask mandate. I walked in this afternoon to pick up my phone order... One large bowl, one regular and a wrap. Every customer in the place was wearing masks except one couple. I contemplated leaving, I should have left but I chose to quietly make this one last purchase and withdraw all my business from this restaurant. Same goes for my wife. Everytime I have bough food here it has been at least two bowls. We have literally spent about $1500 here one $10 bowl at a time. My advice....if mask compliance matters to you then boycott them until they enforce it. There is no excuse. If they don't care about the health of their customers and employees then I can't support them. Simple as that. read more

I have tried tons of poki all over Orange County and San Diego, I can seriously say wowpoki has been the best poki I have ever eaten. I would come with my mom weekly to this place all throughout high school. I would even have it twice a week, it was all I craved! Till this day it is still consistently fresh and tasty. The inside is clean and quiet, with beautiful deck seating in the back. The price is great for the portion and quality you are getting. Service has always been great and friendly. Absolutely love this little gem. You won't regret coming here, trust me. read more

First of all, the customer service leaves much to be desired. I refused to accept a dirty napkin, so I got none! Second of all, today, when I ordered the food, the serving person started taking fish OUT OF my bowl once she prepared my food. She was putting it back on the serving tray, probably thinking I would get too much fish???? How rude! Finally, the owner DOES NOT requirE masks during COVID. I am starting to wonder how clean and safe this place is. I used to come here very often, but have been disappointed in their quality of food and service for some time. Today was the final straw. Fortunately, there is another poke place in San Juan. I will start going there instead. read more

Poke bowl? Check. COVID-19 precautions? Check. Hungry? Not going to be after eating here. I was in the area to do some onboarding work for my new job in there area and was hungry. Luckily I take my food and my patronage seriously. It was only a short drive away from my job, which definitely is a plus for the near future! We got in and it's located in a semi-industrial area. This is my favorite type of restaurant because it gives me the impression even before coming in that's it's a hidden jewel. And fortunately it is! We came in after a biker had come in. He hadn't had a mask and the people working gave him a mask because he was following the appropriate precautions, thinking that wearing a motorcycle helmet can function as a mask (right). Annoying, but made me have respect for the store as they were doing their due diligence on safety precautions as well as their other patrons. The food? You can modify it out however you want for a poke bowl. I went for the salad and salmon, yellowtail, and scallops with avocado. I had the rest of the fixings with medium spice. Definitely affordable, and the picture does not do it enough justice. Flavorful and filling and I can't ask for more. Wowpoki keep killing this game, you've got a return customer. This is my new favorite poke spot- came here one day and returned the day after! The fish and all other ingredients taste fresh, and there's nice outdoor seating. Be aware though, the spice here is SPICY, even the mild spice. I only took one star off since the portions are kinda small. Overall, an awesome spot!!! read more

It's located in a small shopping area, you can enter the shop from the back or the front door. It's like a Chipotle of Poke Bowls! Soooo good! What a nice surprise to have a Poke' place tucked away in San Juan Capistrano. They were nice and the Poke' was great! My son ordered his as a roll and I had a large Poke' bowl. You can pick all the fish you want and many sides. It was really fun to build your own bowl. This was great especially since my son is picky about what is on his roll usually. He could have it just how he likes it. This was a big plus in the mom department. It is definitely a hole in the wall, very small, not much for décor but I will definitely go back again and again for take out. I'm sold on the Wow Poki Poke'. read more

If you are wearing a mask for whatever reason I highly recommend you rethink giving this establishment your money. Disagreement is one thing, outright rudeness is another. Pity because I used to love this place and got several friends to go here over the years. I was not the only one who had this experience. I know that masks have been politicized but some of us are in a position where we still have to avoid illness. read more

I visited this restaurant a few days ago for lunch, ordering the regular poke bowl with three types of fish (spicy tuna, salmon, and regular tuna) and was hit with severe food poisoning immediately after consumption. Unfortunately, this poke bowl caused me to violently throw up twice, and I suspect it was due to the regular tuna - my friends got different fish from me and did not experience this reaction. I was really disappointed considering that the poke bowl itself was flavorful and delicious; service was also quick and polite. While I'm unsure of the exact cause for my reaction, I hope to bring awareness to my experience so that Wowpoki will improve their cleanliness and food handling procedures in order to avoid such occurrences. It was really disheartening to have thrown up all the money I spent on this poke bowl. read more

I love poke, I even used to work at a poke restaurant. I live around the corner and I was so excited to try this place out, unfortunately I was very disappointed with my bowl. The salmon was hard and the flavoring was so off. Maybe it was a bad day for the rice and the crab meat as well. I should've taken a photo but I wont be able to give a second chance and I'm actually sad because that would've been a great place to walk to for lunch or dinner. read more

Very consistent poki. Not the best in my opinion, as I give that edge to another establishment in San Clemente, but this is consistently great. Never had a bad experience here, and the service is friendly as well. Their San Clemente location is just as good with a better atmosphere. read more

Still a five star place. Fish is delicious - service is fine. I'm not one to be picky about service unless I'm dining in. The staff wear masks and that's the best they can do - they're not going to force their customers to wear a mask! To those have who have a problem with public places and masking - just stay home or do door dash. read more

Holy cow am I excited to be moving back to OC and to have found this place. I was down from NorCal on a business trip and found this place on Yelp. It was a bit out of my way but looked like it had great reviews. It was indeed off the beaten path (kind of in a business park thing by a post office, you'll think you're lost) but it was INCREDIBLE. Arguably in the top 3 Poke places ever for me. I'll absolutely be a regular when I live down there soon. Prices are super reasonable. Quality is top notch. Do it! read more

Back at it! Always fresh and delicious. Finally got a photo of the poke bowl I always get for lunch. I get the half white rice, half salad bowl with avocado, imitation crab, cucumbers, 3 selections of fish (I like the 2 salmon, 1 shrimp selection), seaweed salad, and dried seaweed/sesame seeds for the toppings. The sushi rice is cooked perfectly, and the salmon melts in your mouth, bursting with flavor! (Total is $8.50 plus tax for the regular sized bowl) read more

I had high hopes due to the great reviews. But I have to admit... I don't know what these reviews are talking about! I was pretty disappointed. I've never had "bad" poke, and I wouldn't call this poke "bad". But it was definitely the most "meh" poke I've ever had. There are no choices of sauces. I don't like spicy mayo on my poke, and I didn't realize that's the *one* sauce you get. I asked for "medium" spiciness, and I'm not sure how it went wrong except maybe it wasn't all mixed together well? Most of it was bland, and in a few spots (at the bottom) I tasted very spicey tastes. The price is right, at $8.50... so I thought... until I got to the very end of the line to pay and saw a sign saying they only accept credit cards for $10+. Ugh. So I had to buy a drink (was not wanting that), and was more over the $10 than if I'd just bought the larger bowl. Bummer. If I would have known *up front* about their credit card policy, I would've ordered the larger bowl. Service was fine. The ambience was ok. Kinda a hole in the wall. It would be fine if the poke was great, but not even close. read more

Omg LOVE THIS PLACE! The location might seem a bit obscure but if you use navigation, you'll find it no prob. All the employees are SUPER NICE & of course the Poke bowl itself is bomb! It's super good!!! I got half & half salad/brown rice base with mild spiciness + salmon, tuna, & spicy tuna (super fresh fish!!!) You can get all toppings if you want or just some and also side items like avocado, onions, and crab meat (no charge for toppings/side items). The price is also very reasonable I think $8 something for regular (the portion is HUGE for a regular!) Ok I know I'm raving a lot but honestly I love this place so much and I will for sure be coming back! No offense to the other Poke place in San Juan but this place is personally a bit better imo read more

Finca has the setting, the vibe, and the potential. Now it just needs the food to live up to the promise behind its name.

There is everything to like about a Wow Poki - Pok, if you love Seafood. We ordered a 1 1/4 live main lobster... mmmm... and the all you can eat shrimp.. Pops provided amazing service and kept the shrimp coming ahead of the game, so we were never left waiting. Of the five different varieties, the coconut, and garlic shrimp were the favourites. i will never go to this location ever again. i always go to the san clemente location but i was in the san juan area & i love their poke so i stopped here. fish is always great & tasty, but i always get my fish mixed with wasabi only, no sauce. san clemente does it no problem.. this place it was a problem. the woman rudely told me "we don't do that" & started helping the person behind me. worst of all their wasabi comes in packets, it's not even fresh. totally ruins the whole bowl. read more

One time I went there and the portion was less than normal but the person making my bowl was new so no bad vibes. All in all the best poki around. They have multiple fresh selections of fish and includes every topping you would want for a poke bowl- avocado, crab, white onions, green onions, cucumbers, massage, seaweed salad, ginger, etc. The regular size is only 8.50, very filling and even includes a miso soup as their current lunch special. read more

Finally some good Poke in San Juan Capistrano. This place is slightly hidden and around the corner from the post office but it is well worth the find. They also offer free avocado and seaweed salad with your order when other places charge extra for that. Do yourself a favor and pick up some grub from this spot.
