Found this ramen and sushi spot while driving around. The restaurant is located in a large plaza with ample parking. The place is clean, restrooms were tidy, and the food was fine but definitely not authentic which was expected because it's a franchise with many locations. Our server was very kind, he seemed really new and timid but he was very attentive. We ordered a couple bowls of ramen, a bento box, and a sushi roll. After a couple minutes the server returns and tells us that the sushi rice isn't quite ready so it'll be a couple minutes, no problem for us. After a couple more minutes he comes back and seems really hesitant to say what he wants to say but finally comes out with "I'm really sorry but I won't be able to serve the sushi roll or the sushi with that comes with the bento box, I don't think the chef wants to make it." Given the restaurant opens at 11:30 and we were the only customers there with an arrival time of 12:45 I expected 1. The sushi rice would be ready because it was over an hour after opening 2. For the chef to make whatever is available on the menu. My family isn't one to make a scene so we let the server know that it was fine and we would order something else. The restaurant is small enough that you hear every exchange and when our server went back to give our order the two chefs spoke to each other in Spanish and then to the server in english. My family and I are filipino but unfortunately for the chefs in the back I do understand Spanish and all I will say is that they were definitely giving our server a hard time. I try my best to be very gracious because you never know what someone is going through but I will stay true to my experience and what I witnessed. I personally do not condone any bullying and so I really did not appreciate the way they were treating our server or the effect it had on our dining experience. My husband and I came during lunch hours and it was quite busy. We ordered a Baked Salmon & Shrimp Tempura Roll, Korokke, and Tonkotsu Spicy Miso. I wanted their Lobster Ramen, but the waitress said it was unavailable. While we were waiting, we noticed other tables that were there before us not having their food yet. After time has passed, we were getting impatient since it seemed like we were waiting 30 minutes or so until our appetizer actually came out. We also noticed other tables that were finished still haven't been cleaned yet. As more customers walked in and ordered, I noticed my main entree wasn't even out yet. Other tables got their food first and the waitress offered me a free miso soup. My husband's ramen came out and luckily, I made him eat instead of waiting for me. All of our pork was fatty.. we asked for them to remake and they did. It came back all fatty again. What you see in the photo is pure fat, no tender meat. You could imagine how disgusting that is. We looked back at the kitchen and they were laughing together. The server told us that the cooks said there's nothing they could do about it because it's already pre cut for them to cook. They said all of the pieces were just fat. It felt like someone was playing a joke on us or something. Then the Spicy Tuna was super fishy. It's kinda hard to get a fishy taste unless the fish was left out. Lastly, the ribeye plate came out on a skillet. At first, it looked good but when we lifted the meat off of the skillet, it was stuck to the bottom and burnt. Out of 30 years of life, I've never had a more disgusting and rude experience. I have to be honest this place is 3.5 stars, but I round it down because when I just think about the food, it was OK because the level of saltines was just way too high. The pork was good, but the chicken was tough sizes were great, but the broth just did not hit. Service was great and the ambience was very beautiful actually reflecting a lot of Japan and I would say that up the stars to a 3.5 along with the service is all of 3.5 but I just wish the food was not as salty. I got the chicken Ramen and it was just like drinking salt and I would say the Other TonKatsu Ramen was good but the broth was just not as flavorful as other places. If you give a yelp review that will earn you some ice cream, but I didn't get that. I just want to write my experience here I would say again this is a 3.5 in terms of Ramen. But I do love is that they have a kid size bowl and it is appropriately priced with plenty of Ramen and pork that they give you. The California rolls we ordered were also pretty decent. Overall, the price is fair for the location and what you get. Again my only thought is they have to tone down the saltines level It was like booming in the chicken ramen so I drank so much water. read more

I've been here twice, didn't care for it the first time when I got the tonkotsu shio. Just didn't pull me back for more. Recently, I was in the mood for a nice hot bowl of ramen and this place was open still at 830pm on a weeknight. I got lucky again because they had a fresh batch of the st louis pork ribs they had just finished marinating.. and that is a must try if they're not sold out during your visit. They're sweet, sticky, and super tender. You get 3 of them and I thought it wouldn't be enough so I added their pork chashu, which was the thick fatty cuts kind, they're good but I didn't need to add them cause the St Louis Rib Ramen was PLENTY to eat. We also tried their spicy bbq pork appetizer which was good but the amount of meat was lacking for the price. Takoyaki was very good, I recommend those. Give this specific ramen bowl a try when they have the ribs available! Also our server Emmanuel was super helpful and awesome during dining. Overall, I give this spot a 3/5 mainly because it's just this one ramen that I would come back for, the other bowls need a little more love in the kitchen. read more

I was in the mood for ramen and sushi. I do get my sushi fix from Sushi Plantation but that restaurant doesn't do ramen. Also other ramen restaurants don't do sushi. This place had both rolls and ramen. I got the chicken karage, CA roll with spicy tuna on top, and tonkotsu ramen. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality so I didn't have high expectations. The chicken was well-fried and had a good blend of dark meat with fat. It tasted great with a splash of lemon and the spicy mayo. The sushi was okay and the rice was fresh. The ramen had a thick fatty broth; the noodles were okay. I like the toppings and char siu. I got my order via Doordash for a pickup. You should give them a bit more time than stated. So far, this has been one of solid takeout places and I think I'll be back to try more. read more

My daughter was craving ramen and we've been here several times now. Tonight we were 1 of 1 customers inside and arrived at 7pm as the only other customer was about to leave. The tall white server seats us. We were short on time, so my wife ordered chicken ramen for us all. After 12 or so minutes, the server brings our food. The kids dumplings and the chicken ramen had pork in it. We don't eat pork, so we tell the server we ordered chicken. This happens pretty often at Japanese places, no big deal. The server takes our daughter's food (dumplings and ramen). Wife and I customize our order (made it spicy IYKYK). 10ish minutes later, the server comes back out and says "we ran out of veggie and chicken broth". This news comes after we made our food inedible for a toddler. Why did he take 10 minutes to tell us? I would have gladly gave my daughter my ramen, she's the one that wanted ramen smh. The server doesn't offer any alternative solution, he doesn't even apologize for the pork in our food nor about the delay in sharing this vital information. At this point my daughter is really loud and angry, I ask the server for hot water to create a bowl for my daughter after I wash the noodles of the spicy paste. Another 10 minutes passes by before he brings us a cup of hot water. By the time my daughter takes her first bites of food, we had been inside for over 40 minutes. The server then disappears and doesn't check in on us, the crunch roll came out with NO toppings, might as well have gotten a California roll. When the server comes with the payment terminal, I ask him why the sushi came with no toppings, he says "we ran out". On the way out, he stood by the bar staring at us and didn't even say bye, left a horrible taste in our mouth. On a side note, there's a shorter Hispanic server here on weekends that is absolutely amazing, he's the only reason this isn't a 1 star review. read more
