Our experience with Jonathan Jennings and his company was nothing short of a nightmare, and we feel compelled to share the details so others can avoid the same frustration. The project was initially estimated to take one week. In reality, it dragged on for nearly two months. From the very beginning, communication was abysmal. We were repeatedly told that our water would be turned back on by the end of the day--only to return home to a house with no running water. This happened multiple times, and each time we were left scrambling to make alternative arrangements. Jonathan's bid on the project was inaccurate. He assured us that the work could be completed without cutting into the driveway. That turned out to be false. Not only did the driveway have to be cut, but Jonathan also refused to complete the concrete repair in a reasonable timeframe. To make matters worse, he demanded full payment before the driveway was restored, claiming it was a "separate job"--even though the need for driveway work was a direct result of his own miscalculation. As the delays mounted, so did the excuses. Eventually, Jonathan began screening our calls and refusing to respond, even while our home was still without water. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable in any industry, but especially when dealing with something as essential as a home's water and sewer system. To top it all off, near the end of the project, we discovered that no permit had been filed with the county. We had to personally call and confirm this with the county office. Only after we confronted Jonathan did he finally submit the permit. When the inspector came out, the project failed inspection due to multiple errors--further delaying completion. There were other issues as well, but frankly, this review is already long enough. The bottom line is this: communication and honesty are the foundation of any reputable business, and this company demonstrated neither. What should have been a straightforward project turned into a stressful, drawn-out ordeal that left us without basic utilities for far too long. I would not recommend this company to anyone--especially not to new homeowners who are already juggling the challenges of settling into a new place. Save yourself the stress and hire someone who values transparency, accountability, and customer service.

They installed and refinished hardwood floors in our new home and a ton of scratch marks were left all over the place. When I asked about the scratches I was told they were normal and unavoidable, but I've never seen anything like this and from what I've heard from others it's definitely not normal or unavoidable. In addition, I found stain splattered on our wall and a big splotch of it on the floor. Finally, when they installed the base shoe after they were done, it was left chipped on the ends and honestly looks pretty unprofessional. This was a huge expense for our family and I am really disappointed that it didn't turn out better.

I highly recommend SVB floors for overall excellent service and craftsmanship. …read more Earlier this month i needed my hardwood floors repaired. The hardwood flooring included the kitchen, dining room, and hallway, which are part of the open floor plan. They explained the process before proceeding: The first phase was replacing the water damaged wood planks in the kitchen followed by removal of the "shoes", which are the parts connected to the floor board. They then sanded the entire wood flooring then cleaned up the residual wood dust. They then applied our custom wood stain. They returned the following day to apply the first two coats of polyurethane. Due to this being Friday, no service on weekends, they returned Monday to apply the final coat of poly. They explained we could walk on the floors, hard bottom shoes only ( no high heels) and we could also return our appliances to the kitchen. ( a dolly was required). Overall, customer service was excellent, the "floor" guys were conscientious and deliberate, taking care in the quality of their work. It is recommended to re-do hardwood floors every 10 years. I will be calling them again in 10 years, or earlier if tragedy strikes again.
