We tried Alicia's Mobile Dog and Cat Grooming for the first time today, on the recommendation from some friends. There was a small mix-up with our first-scheduled appointment and they had to cancel and re-schedule. To make up for it, they threw in some extra stuff for free, which was appreciated. The groomer that showed up wasn't overly friendly, but not mean at all. Just kind of awkward, which was fine. I think it was Cezanne, who apparently won't be working for Alicia much longer. But I digress, they finished the grooming in 30-45 minutes, and our dog's (poodle/bichon mix) body and breath have never smelled better. We'll try them again and see if we can't bump the rating up to 3 or 4 stars. read more

We have a pocket beagle with a seizure disorder that makes it very difficult to take her to a groomer. Cezanne came out and trimmed nails for both of our dogs. She was on time, very pleasant and sweet to our dogs. We will definitely use Alicias again. read more

I got an appointment within one day of calling and requesting one. This is definitely a nice change from the other groomers that book you a week or two out. I even called a little later asking to add a nail trim for another one of my dogs and she said it was no problem. Two groomers came to the house and one of them was in training so the owner herself came out to help with my dog Chewy (a Skye terrier mix). The new hire had never groomed a dog like him, but Alicia came and talked her through it. I've been to SEVERAL groomers around town as well as had other mobile groomers come, and this is the ONLY TIME anyone has ever cut him the way I described. He looks SO CUTE!! Even my fiance said that this was the best haircut he has ever had. He's had Chewy for 4 years and has never gotten his hair cut the way he has been trying to explain. Last time I took Chewy to a groomer (Groomingdales and Clip N Tails), they expressed his anal gland wrong and his tail was droopy for a week and a half, they also forgot to cut his toenails and I had to take him back. It also cost me over $100 in vet bills to fix his tail. This time, with Alicia' s crew, I had none of that hassle. They trimmed my other dog's nails (a boxer puppy mix who HATES getting his nails cut) - and let me tell you, he is DIFFICULT! Even my vet won't do his nails unless I drug him. They brought Dexter back into the house and he was happy as a clam. Last time I took him to the vet he was so nervous when they gave him back, I have just been filing his nails since. I asked the girls if he gave them trouble and they said he was really good. I was floored! He won't even let me do it! I will never use anyone else, this was the best experience I've had with a groomer ever. read more

Alicia's cat grooming is great but she changes locations on a monthly basis. I have followed her all over Henderson. Her mobile service has just started again but it's on Tuesday only. My last appointment was changed twice and I couldn't wait the additional two weeks. Dependability is a problem and I regret that I had to find another groomer. read more

We could have done a better job ourselves. Wasn't impressed. Only one of the two groomers came to the door. She didn't smile, didn't introduce herself or try to shake my hand. Wasn't friendly at all, no eye contact. She made excuses about the matted fur right away. She also said she didn't want to blow dry him because she didn't want to freak him out. Then I see a strange person chatting on the phone coming up to our house to plug in an extension cord...didn't say hello, didn't introduce, etc. Apparently that was the second groomer? They're being trusted with our baby but we did not feel comfortable at all. Overpriced as well...way overpriced. And to top it all off, his feet still smell like urine. One of reasons for getting him groomed was because of the urine smell from the place we adopted him from. His fur actually stinks. We won't use them again. Overall we're disappointed. read more

Alicia is great! Our two giant, crazy Rottweilers were in need of a wash, nail trim and shave. She did an amazing job! Our dogs came out one by one looking beautifully shaved and smelling great. She was very knowledgable about medications that the dogs were taking and what they were in need of. Alicia was friendly and was very sweet to the dogs, they liked her a lot! I'm not sure about the previous reviews, but after trying their services for my two small dogs, we were really happy. Scheduled the service two weeks in advance, and on the day of the appointment they called me to let me know they would arrive soon. Rose was very polite, and did a great job. I been using their services for over a year and we always had the problem of them being late. The last time the groomer called and said that she was 30 min away and after two hours of waiting with my cat inside the kennel, i had to call the office. The groomer did not pick my calls and when finally the groomer called back yelled at me and hang the phone saying "find another groomer". I had my cat groomed with Alicia's the past 3+ years twice a hear so 6 or so times. This last grooming I noticed my cat was kind of down for a few days after, then rubbing on her back there are bumps all over it. The times the grooming was sloppy or something odd happened is when Alicia herself does the grooming. Her groomers that work for her actually do a better job. Each time I did not like the grooming was when she did it and this last time confirmed that. I'm giving stars for her groomers that did a good job, not Alicia herself. read more

They came to groom my cats . One who I have to sedate to have them touch him . They come, oh about 2 hours late , they don't look happy because they got called in . Apparently the girl before them , the one scheduled just up and quit . I think I may know why .... So they are grooming in their van that is not meeting any health code requirements I'm sure of it . But I'm desperate and I've already given my cats ACE .. So they go in . I come back out and I hear my cat being a pain the butt but I hear the girl say "f**k this cat" .. I was like wait what ?? They bring the cats in and their cuts are botched at best .. They cut my cats whiskers off on one side !!! They say one of their other staff members , the one who actually cuts the cats hair .. Will be back in 4/6 weeks and she can come fix their hair . As if I would subject my babies to this spectacle again . Also when owner was on phone , well her boyfriend I guess , who has to clear everything by her apparently , gave me a free teeth cleaning LOL on an upset cat , you want to give me a teeth cleaning . So $175 for 2 meth heads to cuss at my cats and jack their hair up . While the boss can't be bothered to deal with her own customer . Piss poor ! If you luv your babies .. Went to her new dog wash on eastern .. They are 20 for self wash which is ridiculous in itself. They dont keep it clean and they dont have the best shampoos. I believe i spoke to the owner because she was very rude and defensive. They dont have proper holsters for multiple dogs. .. i had to ask for a waterproof cape after i was soaked. After being washed my dogs still don't smell clean after their shampoo. Overall worst experience. read more

I do not find it surprising that this groomers has only 3 stars nor that they have openings so readily available. I waited patiently (as did my cat in his carrier) for them to show up for over 1 1/2 hrs and 3 phone calls from me later, finally the office manager called and the call was conveniently "dropped" when I came to answer. -------------Very Disappointed-------------------- I used Alicia's for a very long time, but always requested Marqita (hope i spelled that right). She always did a wonderful job on my Poms and was the reason i used their services time and time again. So when i called recently to have her come out they informed me that she was no longer with the company. I was hesitant to try another groomer but i had been so happy with them in the past that i decided to give it a shot. HUGE mistake. While the girls they sent did show up on time, i honestly could have done a better job myself. When they brought them back to the door it was evident immediately that it wasn't the level of expertise we had become accustomed to. Upon further inspection i realized that not only were my dogs STILL damp, but she had neglected to clean up his back paws and there was still a matt at the back of his neck. Not to mention that half of his face was noticeably shorter than the other. When i called to complain the woman on the phone was very nice, but told me my only option was to have the same groomer come back to finish the job. NO THANKS. I loved the mobile grooming option but honestly, for the money this was a total waste. Take your pups somewhere else! read more

I was up charged 25.00 for brushing out knots and did not wash my dog claiming he was to knotted. I said we don't care bathe him and they did not. The place is old looking and never clean. Excellent groomers.....when they show up. I was just stood up for the 3rd time in 10 months, despite confirming the appointments in advance. Once they were scheduled at 3:00pm on a Sunday and didn't call to cancel, just showed up at 7:30pm in the middle of Sunday dinner with a large family gathering. My neighbor has had the same issues with being stood up as well. I've been really tolerant because they do a good job, but 3 strikes...you're OUT! There are plenty of other mobile groomers that are good AND happy to have my business. read more

Regina and Andrew did a great job today on my long-haired cat. They were on time and made me feel comfortable with understanding the different kind of cut I wanted.
