I placed my order online and received several emails saying it was ready for me to pick up. When I arrived at the store, I found no shoes. I was promised a call back when my boots were ready. Instead, I received an email congratulating me for "picking up my shoes." I called the store manager, who assured me it was a mistake and that corporate was aware of the situation. I called corporate customer service, and NOPE! They think I picked them up; I hardly got a chance to explain that I don't have them. Until I strongly suggested that I finish my sentence! Had a great experience during my visit. I came in looking for something very specific. Sometimes I wanna shop without being sold, and in shoe stores are notorious for trying to sell you stuff before you can even fully take a look. Anyway I took my time looking around and found a couple of choices I liked. I asked an employee Jose for help at first to find my size. After that I was being indecisive so after narrowing down to two, I bothered him again to help me choose between them (I really wanted to make sure my flyness level was set to 100 and not 75...I'm not a bare minimum "C's-get-degrees" kinda gentleman...I put my best foot forward at all times in anything I do...and said foot should always be rocking the best kick possible). Anyway I felt like Jose understood that, he had a sense of humor about it and he helped me make a decision. And I feel like it was the right one. Now of course they didn't have my size cause my luck really doesn't move like that. But Jose offered to have it ordered and shipped to me for free, which I agreed to. I ordered on a Friday and got it on the next Wednesday. Last but not least the security dude that was working the door on 3/26/20 (I didn't get his name) was also hella cool and personable. I talked to him for a bit and it was legit like taking to a friend. This WSS location has a ton of inventory. The store manager was lovely. He looked for my son's size in a few styles of sneakers, and when he discovered they didn't have them in stock, he found out where they were in stock at other locations. That's solid service. The kid that first reluctantly helped us was slow moving and was found leaning against the cashier's stand the entire time. My son had to go over to with WITH THE SNEAKERS and ask if he could find his size. He mumbled something to my son, went back to leaning, we waited until the manager came, see above for that transaction, and when the kid saw us speaking with the manager, he high-tailed it toward the stock room, stating, "I'LL get them." Walked in with my personal today 8.20.19 Carrying it.. Walked past the cashiers and multiple employees with the scooter. They didnt say anything about the scooter. I get by the security guard Anthony and in a very stern kinda intimidating way he told me i wasn't allowed to bring it in mind you im carrying it. Not rolling or riding it... If you are looking for shoes, know exactly what you want, need no assistance and don't mind a long wait in line, this is the place for you. They have a good selection and their prices are reasonable. This WSS is very much like a big box type experience. It is fine, no more no less. I will not be returning. I will drive all the way to the Lynwood store instead and I suggest you do the same. I walked in with my grandson and the greeter was very sweet. And then the wheels came off the wagon. I had never been there, the place is large so I asked where boys 5.5 size were. A woman pointed to this large area. I said, I did not understand, where was I to go. She pointed again like I was an idiot. This useless experience lead me to just start walking the large store to try to figure out the signage. After finding nothing on one lane I was really hoping the next employee I saw could help me out. This woman looked at me like I was just a bother and pointed and actually said some words, "Over there, they are all over there." Okay, I kept looking. We did find a pair of shoes for my grandson, but the experience left me just wanting out of there as soon as possible. I would have walked out had I been alone, but my grandson really liked the pair of tennis shoes he found so we took our box (no assistance at all in the where are the sizes etc.) and went to get in line. The line was not too long, but it appeared they only had 2 people working the register. What the ones walking around were doing is beyond me. We saw some socks and my grandson has just changed sizes so I would need to ask when I got to the register. That was fun. After the cashier sneezing twice into her shirt, nose red, and looking like she needed to be at home or at least away from me, I asked if this was the right size sock to go with the shoe size. She said, "I don't know if these will fit." Well, alright let us see if we can figure this out. We are not stupid so just help us out here. She looks at the sock sizes, looks at me and says, "I guess so. I don't know." I bought the socks, my grandson wanted them. They are big, but he will grow into them. The cashier did ring up everything correctly and bagged the items nicely, so that was good. She was not truly rude either, she was just bored maybe, and had a cold. We walked out and the greeter was there to say goodbye and was very sweet. I won't be seeing him again, but maybe he should be running the store. Go to the Lynwood store. Over all store is great but employees are horrible. I looked online to see if they accept Apple Pay and they don't when you actually arrive. The guy who was at the register was a total ass. He wasn't even nice about saying they don't accept it, he said it so aggressively. Made me feel uncomfortable.. they shouldn't say they accept Apple Pay if they don't.. if you swing by make sure you come after 2, maybe the second shift is nicer. When I called Emma she directly connected me to Steve who also provided his direct number in case something happens in the future. He was kind enough to listen to the issues I had and some possible solution suggestions. He was not only receptive to hearing the negative, he also wanted to make sure the great workers were acknowledged (Juan). He focused on supporting his team and building them up rather than cutting them down which I agree with. Thanks Emma and Steve for being available and making sure things were addressed. In my humble opinion, he should not be an asst. manager. When I came to the counter, an employee was helping another customer. I was standing there as two other employees were on the side talking. One of those employees walked over to another cash register in front of me, so I thought he was going to assist me. He said something and I told him I was there for a pick up and he just walked away. I was confused. Perhaps he didn't hear me, but to pretend I wasn't there and ignore me was not very professional. Especially as the asst. Manager and with it not being busy at all. This was a stark difference from what I experienced yesterday at the location on 7th and union with their assistant manager, Juan, that I wrote a 5 star review for that day. I was so impressed with Juan, I assumed all WSS stores were the same. I was wrong! Juan needs to train other managers if they are like Gerson. At the 7th and union location Juan, while helping me, made sure all customers were taken care of. If he saw someone waiting in line, he would kindly ask an employee to hop on another cash register to help them stating that he noticed they were waiting. He was managing the store so all customers were taken care of and leading by example. At the Pico/Western location... after the customer in front of me left, I stepped up to the cash register. My son had just lost my receipt right before arriving at the store. I explained this as I provided my ID so he could find my pick up order and he said he couldn't look it up with my ID. I let him know another store was able to do this. This is when Gerson stepped in to just tell me the same thing. He couldn't look up my order that way he said. He lied. I let him know the manager at another store did this and that he could call him and ask him how he did it. He didn't care nor was he willing to call. I asked if I could speak to someone else and he just motioned that he was "it", the manager. He seemed so proud to let me know I had no way out of this situation. He was not going to make this easy. I asked for his name and he proudly wrote it down for me as if he was doing right, in the way he was handling everything. I dont like writing bad reviews or mentioning peoples names, but I will if they are prideful about their horrible customer service, or in this case lack there of. I then proceeded to call Juan myself and ask him for help, since I was getting none at the store I was at. He shared with me that they could have easily looked it up or called him to ask. He said it was no problem and that he would look up the order number for me. While I waited, I let the first employee that assisted me know it was possible and he shared he wasn't able to as he didnt have access but that the asst. Manager did have access. I waited for the asst. Manager, who looked up my order with the order # Juan provided. Juan did not hang up after providing me the order #. Juan shared that he would stay on the phone until they were able to find my order. Seriously, Juan goes above and beyond to make sure that whoever's goes to him for help is taken care of and that their problems are resolved. This is when Gerson admitted he could have looked up my order with my ID (admitting he lied to me), but that he wasnt supposed to. ? I had my ID and I could provide all my info if he needed, along with a picture of the shoes I was picking up and the card I used to pay for it, yet he had refused to offer or help me find a solution. He didn't manage customers, nor did he provide management or guidance for the employees to help resolve my problem of not having my receipt. Upper management should be made aware of this and re-train or demote people unworthy of being called asst. Managers. +1 star for the nice greeter when I entered and exited the store. Response: while I appreciate the response, a general number and not a direct one was frustrating. Not only did I call, I pressed the same prompts over and over again... they wouldn't transfer me and just kept repeating the same prompts... by the 6th repeat I just gave up. I recently shopped at this WSS and the employees were unprofessional, impatient and oblivious when it came to keeping the customers safe. The loss prevention team where always slacking on the job, talking about their personal lives. I heard one employee say to another that he had beat up a guy and deserved it, all while greeting shoppers at the door. On top of that , this store had Sky Jack's in the middle of the sales floor and posed a huge hazard for shoppers. Not worth your time coming here. The WSS on Union provides a more pleasant experience. This stores staff needs massive training and reevaluation. read more

dont ever shop here.... 1) horrible, rude,, untrained management,, 2) a hostile security guard and ridiculous experience in trying. to return new shoes.. i went in to return 3 pairs of shoes on september 17, 2021 from the 4 i purchased just 7 days before. upon entering the store, a young man (a customer) asked nicely if he could bring his expensive nice bike in the store because it is a bad neighborhood and he wanted to buy some shoes. the hostile security guard replied, "take your bike outside right now." i tried to return 3 pairs of shoes. they said, we are only going to "refund me for 2 pair not the 3rd pair" giving me a lot of attitude, not looking at me at all and completley dismissive. i had accidentally taken off the tags so i could try on the shoes and try them out only walking get this, about 15 steps one way and 15 steps back. loooook at the pic i took at that momemt when they refused to tale them??!!! they are in perfect condition. they said "these shoes are damaged. we will give you a store credit on a card of ours" in a condescending, rude manner. i took the card with a store credit of 27.00 turned to the woman at the next register and gave it to her to use for free. im not giving this store even 1 dollar of my business. choke on your shoes wss and train your people how to be civil and provide a pleasant environment and experience. horrrible. read more

The store look really nice after the remodeling. The workers are friendly and helpful, at least the ones I met, except for one or two that Weren't nice. There is more space. A plus is that they have a restroom. The only Negative thing is that they don't have wifi, as expensive as theses shoes and clothing are they should give free wifi. I had been here (not this location) many years ago and decided to stop by and see if anything has changed / if there was a good selection. Was pretty disappointed, although they did have very few shoes we liked (for children's shoes). Staff at the registers were very nice / helpful. Store was clean and well organized. Prices are in the same ranges as Nordstrom Rack for the "high-end" shoes (Nikes / Jordan's / Vans), but their more budget-friendly options are seriously lacking in the style department. Did end up leaving with a pair of Kids Vans shoes since we were already there, but it was the same price as in the Vans store. Next time, I will just go to the Vans Store instead since we needed up paying the Same price. read more

I literally just came out this store. I was very excited of this store opening. But got to be honest I was very disappointed today. I came in to buy some pairs of shoes myself and the whole family. First let's start by lack of customer service. Which should be a surprise due to they have a lot of employees walking around the store. And when she finally felt like it she tells me( I'm ready) I go and she scans all my item. No hello hi how are you NOTHING. No manners at all. When I give her my credit card she ask for me ID I give it to her. Well she tells me (YOU'RE ID IS EXPIRED I CAN NOT RUN YOUR CREDIT CARD) first time I have every heard of this. anytime they ask for your ID. To my understanding they check the name to see if they match. The ID is expired by two weeks.I mean they see my picture and they see me. (Same person) I got extremely upset that I told her cancel my transaction . Didn't even bother telling her that my new ID is in process. Well this ended up in me not buying what I wanted and needed because my ID was expired. Funny because everything else match even showed her my other cards. Huge selection but horrible customer service. If you want to return something you cannot just walk in like a normal store, you have to get scrutinized by the guy in the front working security that takes his sweet time and asks like 50 questions before he allows you to make a return. He basically talked to me like I was stupid. Then after a 10 minute inspection of the unworn shoes he finally allows me to get in line to make my transaction. After standing in line for another 10 minutes the cashier calls me up in Spanish. She didn't ask me what language I spoke or preferred to speak in she just assumed that I preferred to speak Spanish, which I don't. Anyways she finally gets it but continues to talk to me like I am stupid. I have been to other WSS locations and have been treated with the utmost respect . I will not be coming back. I wish I could give this place a 0. HORRIBLE customer service. Do not order online from WSS. I ordered two items to be shipped to the store (something that I have done previously with other retails). I get an email saying my order is ready for pick up. I go to the store and they say the store only has half of my order. I ask if I can come back when the rest is ready, and pick up both my items. They say YES. I go to the store, and they have my shoes. FINALLY it has been more than a week. They say I have already picked up my sweater. I ask to see a signed receipt or something that shows I picked it up. They say they don't have that. So you're telling me that I so called "picked it up" but don't have any proof? I tried calling customer service, and they are saying that the manager said that they have my sweater and shoes. But when I went to the store, they were claiming they could only give me my shoes. That's more than $80 that I have spent. This is not okay. Customer service was no help. This store is useless. Today was the most humiliating day of my life at this location!!!! I walked in to purchase some shoes for my son, I was at the store for about 30-45 minutes. I looked around for a bit grabbed a sweater for my son as well. I made a purchase of about $100 and something dollars. As I'm walking toward the front door, I show the security my receipt and he tells me I didn't have the sweater I was wearing when I walked in. I said "yes I did, can you check the cameras."They detain me while another employee returns from lunch break so he can justify I was indeed wearing the sweater. The employee returns from break and says I wasn't wearing the sweater. I insist that they check the cameras and they said nobody is able to check cameras in the store not even the manager. I asked to speak with the manager and he shows up, his name is Dennis he then insists I was not wearing the sweater because his employees assume I wasn't. He asks me for a receipt of my sweater that I purchased at another location about a month ago. Really??? Am I supposed to carry receipts with me for everything I wear??? I was really aggravated, he asked me for the size of my sweater so he can go check inventory and said there was no way of telling if I took it. I told Dennis I needed an apology!!! There was about 5 male employees at the door, I'm about 5'2, female did they really need to have that many employees keeping me from exiting? I don't think so!!! Apparently the manager Dennis feels that he didn't accuse me or neither did his employees accuse me of stealing, yet they kept insisting I didn't walk in with the sweater I was wearing. So what do you call that then? Makes no sense!!! I felt very disrespected and humiliated everyone was staring at me customers walking in and out. I don't understand how employees can confront a customer of stealing when they don't have any evidence. I work in retail myself and that's no way of handling a situation like this.
