    Wukong Ramen

Where can I find a place that offer ramen, Korean fried chicken and bubble tea? If you have that same question, Wukong Express would be your answer They are located around the Westerville area and it is the same spot that previously once a seafood boil restaurant. Their set up didn't change up too much and fairly spacious within. Getting a bowl of ramen is the driver for me to try this place out. I got the WuKong Ramen which consist of Chashu pork belly, marinated minced pork, fish cake, half-cooked egg, kikurage mushroom, bean sprout, green onion, seaweed, itokiri and black garlic oil in their house spicy Tonkotsu broth. I really like the chashu pork belly and marinated minced pork. Both are very flavorful and for sure can serve prefect by itself. The broth is smooth, however, the flavor can turn up a notch. I think with all the loaded topping, it dilute the flavor when everything combine. I would need to come back to give other ramen a try and maybe a piece of fried chicken or two

First time trying waking express and over all pretty good. I got the spicy salmon poke bowl. Pretty filling and lots of toppings, all fresh . The service was a little slow but I believe there was only one person there during lunch hour. There is a lot of inside seating so nice spot to go grab some lunch near uptown Westerville

Great Karaage Donburi! Mildly spicy, a nice amount of white rice, covered with fried chicken, corn, furikake, green onion and then eel sauce and spicy mayo sauce. I also ordered the Harumaki which came with a sweet chili sauce. They were crunchy on the outside and tasty on the inside. I would definitely order this meal again, I was stuffed when I finished it.

Soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly staff and took us to a table in the back. The place was pretty empty when we arrived however, most of the tables were dirty. The table that they set us was close to the bathroom, and it smelled! I don't what happened, but it smelled like urine. We moved our table close to the front windows to avoid the smell. Our server came and took our order. The food came out relatively quickly. We ordered the Wukong Mango Green Tea with Mango bubbles, the Soy Garlic Chicken Wings, and the Kar-Rage Donburi. All the food we had tasted good. Nothing stood out, everything was decent. I think for me the smell inside the restaurant kind of ruined the experience.

This restaurant just newly opened, I came here for the milk tea unfortunately NOT available yet per the server, bummer! However, the taste of the food made up for our disappointment. Heres what we had: 1. Salmon Poke bowl, tasty, fresh and great portion. 2. Tantan Ramen thick creamy broth, very tasty as well. 3. Snow Onion Chicken (says on the menu) Red Sweet Onion in the picture ( theyre the same) this was enjoyable kinda like sweet soy with sweet slivers of onion topping and quite crispy. You can choose between tenders or bone-in. We got the bone in and they were good! 4. Shrimp Tempura Donburi another tasty meal. Overall nice experience, we'll be back hopefully boba's are available by then. Happy tummy

I went with my daughter this afternoon! I got Takoyaki, seaweed salad, harimaku, and the chatsu donburi, with a taro bubble tea! Food was delicious, the only things that prevented it from being 5 star was the rice seemed old and I wasn't a fan of the egg and bamboo shoots being cold while everything else was warm. As well as the octopus in some of the takoyaki was so small I couldn't even find it when I bit into it. But over all will be back! As well as the staff member Niki was so kinda and helpful. Especially when my daughter was tired and ready for a nap (sorry for her screaming!) it was extremely quiet while I was there around 1pm and seemed to slowly get more busy. I hope business is well for them!

I placed an order online to go, so I didn't dine inside. However, the restaurant looked nice and clean. It's in the strip mall and parking shouldn't be an issue. The staff seemed friendly, though I just paid and left without having much interaction. Kara-age was tender but the pieces were way too small in my opinion. Also, Kara-age should be fried with flour or (potato/corn) starch. I think this was friend with fine bread crumbs. There is nothing wrong with adding their own twist but the texture was definitely different from what I had expected with Kara-age in mind. I didn't enjoy the ramen at all. The noodles were way too soft with no bite at all. I understand I didn't eat it right away since I had to take it home, but I was literally 5 minutes away and the noodles were separated from the soup. The soup lacked flavor. I might try a different ramen next time but I don't recommend the tonkotsu.

My best friend and I are always on the ready to find good ramen in CBUS. When I saw Wukong had opened, we immediately checked it out. There may have been only 2-3 other active tables. The service was weird. I think 3 different folks helped us. The lady who took the order didn't seem to know the menu very well, had to point and show - which is fine except that I ordered the chicken karaage (which I pointed to and she repeated) and instead I got a crab Rangoon (which my best friend also got, so a little less exciting for sharing). The ramen overall was mid. The egg was great, the chasu was great, I liked the noodles too, but overall not a fan of the broth. Even though I didn't order it the crab Rangoon, it was pretty good. Heavy on the cream cheese side, fan of the wrappers they used. Hard to say I'll be back given the broth was under whelming and the service was weird, but maybe I'll reconsider in the future. Meshikou still reigns supreme.

We ordered tonkatsu ramen, kaiju ramen, and a snow chicken. The ramens were both good. I liked the presentation/packaging so that the toppings and ramen are separated and don't get soggy. The Korean fried chicken was also good. We got the snow chicken flavor. The chicken was not as crispy since it was tossed in some type of sauce before having the snow onion sauce on top. The restaurant has a few sit down tables, but we got our order to go. I wouldn't say this an authentic restaurant, but it's still pretty darn good and great for a take out place.

I was first biased against this place because I don't always have the best experiences with restaurants with the word express in the name. But boy was I wrong about this place. This place is a jack of all trades. They have "authentic" ramen, boba tea, Korean fried chicken, and more. The restaurant is very clean and spacious inside, and very quiet. A little too quiet that you wish they played some music. The employees were very nice and very attentive. I first ordered the crab Rangoons and Takoyaki, both very good. The Rangoons were probably the best-presented ones I've ever had. The ramen was good, and I'm glad I ordered it there because the server notified me that my choice was spicy even though it didn't have a pepper label next to the name. I also ordered one with a pepper label next to it and that one probably needed five peppers next to the name it was so spicy. I ordered boba tea during the meal, planning for it to be made by the end, but they brought it immediately, this place is so efficient. This was definitely my top three boba teas that I've had. They put slices of orange, strawberry, lemon, and lime in them and it makes it taste super floral and citrusy it's amazing. I still need to try the Korean fried chicken but I will be more than happy to come back here.

Located in a strip mall (seems like alot if hidden gems start out this way ). There's plenty of parking at the strip, and offers some interesting neighbors along the strip if you want to walk off your meal. I believe there is a Plato's closet and a half-price book store. The place is very unassuming and casual. The menu is displayed at the takeout / order counter. They are best known for their Korean fried chicken, Ramen, bowls, Boba, tea, and rice bowls. We ordered the curry, fried chicken, and the soy ginger fried chicken. We opted for one to have the additional Snow onions topped and most of my family enjoyed that. It did add some crunchiness and creaminess to the spicy heat in the fried chicken. I was the only one who didn't really care for it because it made that dish very heavy. I think I would like it better if it was more vinegar marinated instead of a heavy mayo cream consistency. I did like the addition of scallion shreds, although the diced radishes were my favorite accompaniment. We also ordered two noodle dishes. My veggie one with tofu was generously portioned and delicious. I don't think that the noodles had the same type of chew and bounciness as some other great Ramen spots in the city though. I don't think I would get the seafood one again, because it lacked a lot of the seafood umami and they seem to use a typical grocery store seafood blend. Still a really terrific meal though and they seem to do a lot of DoorDash and Uber eats takeout. We saw several delivery people come in during our dinner. The place is very, very casual and reminds me of some fast food restaurants with its seating and minimal decor. They do have a huge accent wall mural though that looked cute. Not the place to come for anything special, but will definitely hit the spot for those noods or Korean fried chicken cravings if you happen to be in the area.

Excellent food with pretty good portions. I didn't have high expectations considering the "express" in the title/the location and the many competitors in the area - but everything was delicious, flavorful, and honestly as good, if not better then competitors. It's a little out of the way, but considering how quick it takes to come out, it's an easy get in-get out place to dine in, and there are a ton of spots (both parking and tables).

The food here was good not the best I've had in this genre of restaurant but very good. It came out extremely quick and the service was great. Definitely would recommend it for lunch and quick dinners

Offering recommendations if you don't know what to try, and being super responsive. Our drinks were never empty and the meat was always on our table! The quality of meat/seafood is very good. We've tried the marinated chicken (spicy and not), the beef and pork bulgogi, both were very good. We've had the brisket, the pork belly, the calamari (both spicy and not) and it was all so fresh and yummy. The denver steak was a hit and even the marinated shrimp are an amazing option!
