First & last visit here. Came here with my friend after a morning of shopping. Everything about this place was disappointing. There was a bug in my water! They served my food on a broken plate! As for the food--the Miso soup was cold, mediocre at best as the sesame chicken, you're eating cold sticky breading of something, (dare I say, it doesn't taste like chicken!) and the white rice was cold, hard, not fully cooked. I could barely take 3-4 bites and we decided to leave. My friend had Tai Curry chicken and she took two bites, pushing her plate away. We couldn't take another bite. I was afraid to even take a drink of my water that was replaced. I assume it was the manager that asked if we cared for a to-go box as we sat there with our plates untouched, we said no. Explained that everything about our lunch experience was not good; he adjusted our bill slightly and asked for us to come back and give them another try with a different dish. This place used to make some quality food but our recent take out order was less than desirable. The sesame chicken was so heavily breaded you were guessing if there was chicken in there. When you did get some it was extremely dry. The roasted duck....seemed to be sitting in the kitchen for a few days, some hoisin thrown on it and reheated (again). The guy checking me out was very kind and asked if I needed any additional silverware etc. I got wonton soup and the general tsos lunch with the salad. Popped in here to eat lunch today. I have celiac. They were SO amazing about being careful to serve me all gluten free food. And the food was DELICIOUS! Will definitely be back. Such nice people and I'm SO grateful for them taking my food restrictions seriously. :-) *** edit: I did end up getting sick afterwards unfortunately, but I don't blame the business. So we stopped in here Friday around 6pm and it was pretty empty, so we were seated immediately. The inside is very demure, very mindful, very cutesy, jk jk but it's quaint and minimally decorated, calm, and quiet. Our waitress was so nice, made great recommendations and service was fast. We ordered the pot stickers, California roll, and king lobster roll for appetizers. I didn't try the potstickers but they were gone as soon as they hit the table so I think it's safe to say they tasted pretty good. Both of the sushi rolls were a let down, the California roll was kind of soggy and the lobster roll had more cream cheese than lobster. I hate wasting food but they're both still sitting in the fridge and will probably get tossed. One of the kids ordered a beef fried rice and they seemed to like it, but I was really surprised at the lack of color on it. When I think of fried rice, I think of that beautifully brown colored riced that's seasoned properly and taste amazing. This was just white rice, whether it was fried or not I couldn't tell and it didn't look appetizing enough to try. The other kid ordered the chicken lomein which looked a lot better and albeit a little greasy tasted pretty good as well. My husband tried the Szechuan chicken and shrimp with a side of fried rice and I had the general tso chicken with tempura shrimp drizzled with a mayo sauce and honey glazed walnuts with white rice. Both of our entrees were very good, mine mostly fried meat, but I've deff had soggy general tso chicken before and this was nice and crunchy. Of the two I think he had the better entree the shrimp and chicken were cooked and seasoned well and the brown sauce wasn't overpowering. We will definitely be going back, although we won't be ordering the sushi tools again. read more

I'd been to the other location, and had my eye on this for awhile. Months and months, actually- they sat unopened all last fall for some reason. Looks like they opened up a couple of months ago. No dine-in, and don't even ask to use the restrooms or get a pop, for now. It's not just a Chinese-and-Thai-and-a-little-sushi "Asian fusion" place. In fact, there are very few Chinese-American standards. There are a ton of interesting sushi options, lots of Thai, and much more. I wanted one of everything. I ended up with beef satay, a two-roll lunch sushi special, and a lunch entree. The satay was excellent. Tender, flavorful beef, and lots of it. No need for sauce, but the mild curry was great too. Both lunch specials came with soup or salad; I got salads, and ate them later. Fresh, tasty greens with a good dressing. For the sushi I got asparagus and Alaskan rolls. Both were super fresh, tightly rolled, pretty and flavorful. I will definitely be back for satay and sushi, and many other menu items. I saved most of the lunch entree for my lunch at work, and it tasted good both cold and warm. You choose protein, sauce, and rice. I got sambal samba chicken with fried rice (an upcharge.) The sambal samba is a flavorful Indonesian spice blend. Very slightly spicy, but flavor-packed in general. Lots of tender chicken, lots of fresh veggies (mushrooms, peppers, eggplant, beans, etc.) The fried rice was pretty good. All in all a couple of excellent meals. Main tip: Avoid this restaurant for lunch if you have ANY time pressure or if you're very hungry (aim for 40-50 min wait for food). And mostly, this is the only reason why I am giving 3 stars out of 5. The wait was worth it - because the food and service is very nice! We walked into the restaurant at 1:05pm on Sunday. We were seated at 1:16pm. The food was served at 2:03pm. The shortage of servers (I saw only 2 serving 20+ tables) and chefs in the kitchen might be the reason. I can't say if it is any faster during the week. Food: the complimentary salad was overfilled with dressing (almost soaked in it), but other than this salad, everything was Delicious!! General Tso - tasted great. My mom was very impressed. She mentioned that it was worth a 1h wait. Japanese Eggplant with beef- it also was very delicious. California roll - it was okay. When I learned that 'Wild Ginger' was opening in this area, I was very excited! After visiting on several occasions, I am not so enthusiastic! I have found that the service could use improvement, the portions are small (compared to the competition), the selection is underwhelming, the pricing is somewhat high, but the quality and presentation of the food is quite good! All in all, this restaurant seems geared more to the 'Dublin' patron, and that is fine, however, the nearby 'Beer Barrel Restaurant' offers everything lacking in 'Wild Ginger' with the exception of the Asian menu, high price, and the Dublin patronage. read more

My wife and I came here for lunch while we were in town for a weekend vacation. We were seated as soon as we arrived, and had good service throughout the entire meal. The menu was quite extensive and had tons of options that sounded very tasty, but I settled on the Sambal Samba because it sounded different from anything I'd had before. Though it sounded even better with beef or scallops, I decided to go with chicken to be more cost-effective. My wife ordered the Japanese Eggplant w/ Garlic Sauce, and chose tofu instead of meat. She's also a huge fan of sushi, so we ordered two rolls, the Philadelphia Roll and the Salmon Mango Roll. Both our entrees and the sushi came with soup or salad, so we chose Miso Soup, Wonton Soup, and the Salad. These all came out only a few minutes later. I'm not a big soup or salad fan, and so I wasn't blown away by any of these, but nothing was bad either. The Miso soup had some good flavor--much better than Miso soup I've had previously, which has usually been bland. The salad was just a bit of iceberg lettuce with a yellow dressing (tasted kind of like a mustard/vinaigrette?) The Wonton soup was quite tasty. When our entrees arrived, and we started eating, we were a bit disappointed. Nothing was bad, but there wasn't as much flavor as we were hoping. The service is terrible. One of our meals was wrong and another one never came. We waited a half an hour after the wrong meal came and still didn't get the right one. We had to ask that they remove the two meals we didn't receive from the bill. They didn't offer to do anything for us despite the issues and it took forever to get the bill. This was our first time at this particular restaurant we had an excellent time thanks to our waiter. He was super funny and gave some great recommendations to some of the dishes we should enjoy. They have the tall oriental beers that I really like so that was a big selling point for our visit. The menu was expansive without being too big, they have sushi and authentic Chinese and Japanese dishes. I ended up getting the wild ginger chicken and it was really good - they cooked pickled ginger right in the dish and that was super tasty. Adrienne ended up getting the coconut curry soba noodles and that was a bit bland, way more coconut milk than curry, almost 95% more. The gyoza was cooked perfectly and had some great flavor. Finally got to try this place out! Overall it was pretty good. It was very filling as well. We ordered 2 apps and 3 entrées. They ended up forgetting to pack sauce that was part of one of the entrées, + one of the side items was missing. The appetizers were definitely not worth it, the tofu we got was just some small tiny pieces and the side salad we got was just some pieces of lettuce and nothing else. I was a bit disappointed with that, as I went at a time where they didn't seem very busy and my order was the only one sitting on their table to be picked up Not sure if I will be coming back anytime soon, but if I do it will probably just be for the entrées only. read more

Randomly stumbled upon this place on Saturday evening after tubing at Mad River, because the other restaurant we'd initially swung by had a ONE HOUR wait (at least). Beyond glad we came here instead, because not only was the service and food ridiculously quick, it was all so delicious and the entree portion sizes were massive! We shared the spring rolls (fried) as an appetizer, the miso soup was 100x better than Bibibop which is usually our fast-casual go-to (shhh, don't tell them ;)), my spouse loved his salad and Szechuan chicken, and our reluctant tween loved every bite of her sushi. My curry was loaded with a half-dozen different veggies and was super flavorful; reminded me of my favorite Thai/Malaysian place back in ATL. Such a hidden gem.
