This is my first time here. We enjoyed the dishes we ordered. Didn't get a chance to take a picture of the appetizer shrimp tempura. We enjoyed the entrees and the katsu donburi in a large bowl was fresh and piping hot. Katsu beef curry came on a plate and both had a good amount of rice. They could use more business. We were the only patron but then we did come in at a later hour. I did not see a crowd. Taste was good and love that the food was not too salty, sweet or oily.

This was another ramen place till recently, and I liked it. But I have been to the Zundo down by campus and liked it too, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. I think it's a chain out of Cincinnati. But it feels like a local place. Service was super friendly and fast. The decor is nice, fairly traditional Japanese style. They have a lot of ramen, which I had tried at the other location. Bubble tea. And lots of rice dishes like katsu don, etc. I got the una don because I love eel, and I have had something similar to this at a restaurant that's not around anymore. Plus I got the sausage app. It came out first, small sausages, savory and sweet. Served with a dab of hot mustard. Good, not amazing. There are loads of other apps to try. The una don was also pretty good. Big chunks of eel, a little bit fatty and chewy, but the meat itself was very tender and flavorful. A good portion of meat, plus shredded scrambled eggs, lots of rice, and a couple of slices of pickled turnip (I think.) All in all a nice filling lunch. Pleasant atmosphere. Reasonable prices for the quality and quality. I will definitely be back.

Saw a new ramen place and decided to check it out and so glad we did! The food was really good, the ramen was well flavored and broth was rich. The portions were also very generous for the price. Our server was also very friendly and overall a great experience. Would definitely go back again!

absolutely love this restaurant, would recommend! I usually get the beef Roman and these!

Great food! Great service! Absolutely love their Shoyu Ramen, comes with pork belly and all the things that make ramen feel authentic. My server Hannah had great recommendations. Will be back!

Weather in Ohio can influence your taste buds. Last week it was in the 70's, today it's 30 degrees…read moreand snowing lol. Last week I had the taste for bbq. Today ramen! 1 mile from my house is Kyushu. Black garlic ramen with pork, 4 crispy little veggie spring rolls and the pork buns. I don't know what they are called on the menu, I just know what they are lol. Ramen is also subjective and I've had my share. Kyushu is just very very solid. It comes out fast and most importantly, the perfect temp. I've been to some ramen places that bring out a bowl of lava ramen served with a side of skin graft. The corn at the bottom is still fresh with a crunch to it. The Black a garlic just has such a depth to the broth. The egg is always perfect and the pork just melts. The spring rolls were super crispy and I really liked the spicy mayo dipping sauce. I love anything that resembles a Bao bun. I especially appreciate the chili oil and spicy seasonings at each table. Warms you up on these unpredictable Ohio evenings. I also had a Tsing Tao and an Ichiban lager beer. All in all just an enjoyable meal. $41 plus tip for everything. No complaints. It was worth it.

A great spot if you're looking for gluten free ramen! My only complaint is that many of the menu…read moreitems are marked as gluten free available; however, they really aren't. For example, you could get the spicy kani salad GF, but it would not have the spicy mayo on it (their mayo contains gluten). I was also told that the only GF ramen bowls were the vegetarian ones. I'm not a huge fan of tofu, but all the other proteins are marinated in a soy sauce containing gluten. I felt a bit mislead by the menu. However, my ramen was delicious, minus the chewy tofu haha There were a few sushi rolls that were safe and they did have GF soy sauce. They can get busy inside, so be prepared to wait during popular times.

The broth had so much flavor and the spicy level 2 was perfectfor me, it actually had a kick without being overwhelming. I also tried the panko chicken which was really crispy and paired well with the ramen. The vibe of the place is also great with all the lamps, flags, and decor. The servers were incredibly sweet and made the whole visit even better. They also have a happy hour menu with some great options at a discounted price, so it is definitely worth checking out. Since it is so close to where I live and work, I will definitely be going back again.

Fukuryu is the first ramen place I've tried that lets you customize so many of my favorite extras--mushrooms, fish cakes, and egg. You can also choose your spice level; I went with half chili , and it was perfect for me. Spicy enough to leave a pleasant lingering heat without being overwhelming. I'm glad I read previous reviews because they definitely deliver on the heat they promise. The only downside was that the pork wasn't as tender as the chashu I'm used to in ramen. That said, the rest of the ingredients and the noodles were well-prepared, with great flavor and texture. I would definitely order Fukuryu ramen again.
