This is the new location in West Fargo. It's located beside bottle barn. The interior is beautiful. It's a very cozy feel and larger than it looks outside. The staff at both locations always rocks the service and the food is outstanding. Many different flavors of sausages and a huge selection of domestic and local micro brews. There's also a full bar. The porketta bahn mi was a wonderful mix of spicy Siracha mayo, fresh pickled veggies and thin sliced pork and bacon make a wonderfully tasteful pairing. Great for a big group. There is a beautiful bar and huge fireplace as well. A couple awesome features like USB cord charging capability at the tables (bring your own cord), comfy seats or group tables where you can sit with anyone makes this a fantastic social environment. The seats at the bar are insanely comfortable and you may not want to leave. Highly recommend stopping in and enjoy the new location! Maybe my new favorite haunt! read more

Younger generations German food. The Mac&cheese and pretzels were great. The brats had thick skin, lots of toppings, and a dry bun, which made them a mess to eat. Was craving Hasenpfeffer or Sauerbraten and got bar food. read more

I have had slow bad service almost everything e I have tried to eat here. I would go here more if I could be certain I would not be irritated waiting for my server to come and take my order. Can't say enough about the place. The beer cheese soup is to die for with there huge pretzel or just straight drink it. We came on bike and the one staff member must of thought we weren't the right "Crowd" to be there. That's why four stars. Super friendly service and pretty good German food. I assume this is a chain but we don't have them in Augusta. There are two excellent German restaurants there so I kinda use them as a barometer of German food. They have a full bar and mom and a ordered drinks, a gin tonic and a raspberry rhubarb margarita. We liked them and agreed that they were generous pours. We shared the bavarian pretzels with beer cheese dip. Absolutely delicious! For our entrees Mom had a dumpling soup ("a little bland"), daughter had curry wurst with fries, and I had jaeger schnitzel with red cabbage and spaetzle. The schnitzel was huge and very good. I didn't think the spaetzle was worth the calories. I wish I had just ordered two servings of the cabbage. Daughter said her wurst was the best (sorry I couldn't resist). They get extra points for being opened past 8:00. So many places were already closed by the time we got to Fargo. read more

Saw this restaurant on a Buzzfeed list for best Mac n'cheese in every state, so I had to swing by while I was in town. Starting things off, the beer selection is fantastic - something for everyone! Had the Bavarian pretzels for an appetizer and they were really good. Finally, the dish we came for - the Spaetzle Mac n' Cheese. It was delicious, as you can tell because it was the only dish I didn't get a pic of! I loved the take of using the spaetzle rather than noodles... truly original. Overall, I would recommend to those I know who live in Fargo and look forward to eating here in the future! read more

The simple answer is that everything is unbelievably expensive for what you get. If you think you will get a hot dog and a beer for less than $30, than you are probably crazy. Even if you order the mac and cheese, they give you 2 bites. When you have Cuban sandwiches and Hawaiian food on your menu and do not have a ton of other German options, it's a joke. It's ND, one of the most "German" places in the world. There could be a lot of better "German" options for the menu. Visit a small town cafe and you may get a better idea of what you should be doing. We ate Würst and drank bier here this evening and had a fun time. There were a nice variety of good beers on tap at reasonable prices. Big hot soft pretzels with beer cheese were a great starter. We liked the Würst. Our favorite was called simply "German Sausage". You can choose toppings for it like sauerkraut, onions or peppers. There were 4 different mustards to choose from. I loved the Düsseldorf mustard flavor the best. We ordered German potato salad as a side but it tasted more like roasted potatoes. They were ok but not what I expected and fixed very differently than the German salad I had when I lived in Germany. The spatzle with brown gravy were good and the gravy tasted homemade. There is also a nice variety of American food if that is your preference. Our server was really friendly and a lot of fun.
