I kept hearing about this place in SoCal so seeing that there's one here at Oakridge and the other location at Fremont, might as well try. Ordered through the kiosk the Ice Cream Uji Matcha Latte 50% sweetness with oat milk. One person was in front of me so it was two of us waiting for a bit of time, it looks like it's one worker for a Tuesday afternoon shift. The drink wasn't bad, once the ice cream is mixed in the drink, the overall taste got sweeter which I needed. I"m glad I ordered it at 50% and not more because I can't tolerate very sugary drinks I didn't order the little boba that everyone on social media talks about because I wanted to save it for the Ice Cream Milk Tea. I had stopped by for their soft opening, but the drinks were super bland and watery at the time. Gave it another try since things could have changed. A self order kiosk available for ordering now. Drinks were made quickly by staff. There's no seating dedicated to the store itself, but there's plenty of tables+chairs around the corner. I love how you can order extra shots of tea for a stronger tea taste without charge. Mixing different types of boba/toppings also does not change the pricing. You can also adjust if you want more or less toppings too. If anything, the boba itself is the star of the show. The drink itself wasn't super outstanding, but could probably be adjusted for taste with the extra tea shots. Orange grapefruit green tea was on the pulpier side. Nevertheless, it was okay. Will be back to try their other drinks since there is so much variety. The toppings are definitely more memorable to me. My coworker told me about this place and how it might be the top tier boba spot for both quality and price. We got the four seasons tea w/ trio topping and the four seasons tea with macchiato which is basically their milk foam. The total price came out to just under $13 in total for two drinks which for Boba is a steal nowadays. It's also kind of insane to have a three topping option for under a dollar. Sure you get less of the topping, but having the variety is unheard of. Also the drinks are one size and that size is large. Maybe 21oz. Currently, they are out of Qqube but told me that they would have more during the grand opening. The mini boba 4 seasons macchiato came with a solid 2 inches of mini boba! Very small and sweet. I would say to get 50% or less sweet if the toppings are already this sweet. The 4 seasons tea itself is kinda carroty and floral. There were four nice people working behind the counter around 5 PM. Order came out quickly under five minutes. Overall, solid and I'd come back if they can keep this quality. read more

Happened to stumble upon their soft opening which started 6/26. Located right outside of 99 Ranch inside Westfield Oakridge. My first foray into Taiwan's popular bubble tea chain - this being their second bay area location (first being Fremont). Tried their Cheese Foam Four Seasons iced tea, Orange Yakult w/pearls, and Orange Grapefruit iced Green Tea all at 30% sweetness. Auto 4 stars since the fruit was definitely fresh with plenty of pulp and seeds. The bobas are mini. Even though the line was long, it was fairly quick all things considered. Maybe it was the sweetness level I chose but none of the flavors really stuck out. The kiddo definitely liked the Orange with Yakult though. Will be coming back to try them again with more sweetness. read more

I happened to stumble upon Wushiland Boba's grand opening. I was impressed by the quick service and quality of drinks. They have a self-serve kiosk at the front and a couple of cash registers to help with ordering drinks. They have great lactose and dairy-free options, including their standard milk tea, which is flagged as lactose-free. The drinks we ordered were perfect at 30% sweetness, not too sweet. The boba was perfectly sweetened and chewy. They are located in a convenient spot at the back of the mall next to 99 Ranch. That side of the mall usually has plenty of parking. I'll definitely be back to try their other drink options and recommend giving them a try if you are at Oakridge Mall. read more

I was really disappointed with my experience here. I ordered an Assam black tea with 70% sugar. On my first sip, I honestly thought they had made it with 0% sugar because it tasted incredibly bland, almost like watered-down tea. Then, a few sips later, I got hit with an overwhelming rush of sweetness. That's when I realized the sugar had never been mixed into the drink. It had just settled at the bottom of the cup. I don't understand how a drink can be served without being properly shaken or mixed first. It completely threw off the flavor and made the whole experience unpleasant. It's such a basic part of making a drink, so I was pretty surprised and disappointed. Unfortunately, this wasn't a great first impression. read more

We were cruising the mall on Sunday morning and just happened upon them on what I believe was their official opening weekend. Having seen them on popular vlog channels, I did have high expectations. We tried the jasmine green tea with boba and 0 sweetness, the roasted oolong milk tea with boba at 50% sweetness, and the honey lemon tea also at 50% sweetness. I agree with other reviewers, the milk tea was really creamy and flavors were fairly on point. The overall tea flavor could have been stronger (didn't realize we could ask for extra shots). While their boba had good QQ, they were also just slightly gummier than I prefer, and also by the end of 2 of our drinks, there was still a TON of boba leftover in both of our cups. I've generally had good luck with being able to revive boba the next day from some tea shops, but these didn't hold up well day 2. We did get lucky in that there was practically no line when we showed up, however, we did see about 6-7 groups milling about waiting, and it took about 10-15 minutes to get our drinks. Plus it took some time for someone to get back up to the cashier to start taking our drink orders in the first place. And there were at least 3 workers making drinks. After we ordered though, the line built up fairly quickly after that. Being that this is a small shop with shared space with 99 Ranch, but with an outside facing venue, there is no place to sit besides the Ranch food court area. read more

Pretty average boba spot located in Oakridge. With Tp Tea located in the same mall, I feel like it'll be pretty hard to compete. Wushiland is located by the entrance of 99 Ranch. I ordered a roasted oolong milk tea with 50% sweet and an extra shot of tea and qqube. It has a decent tea flavor but that's with the extra shot so keep that in mind if you're looking for a stronger tea profile. There's no additional charge for extra shots of tea. Overall, the drink was on the milkier end. I appreciated how the texture of the qqube topping stayed chewy and bouncy even after 2-3 hours. There was a short line at ~3 pm on Sunday but my drink was ready after a 5 minute wait. It seemed like training the new cashier was the only thing possibly holding up the line so definitely give this location grace as they're still in their soft opening phase. They have an interesting selection of toppings from mini pearls to qqube to check out as well. read more

I was excited for this place to open since I had tried it once in SoCal. Today I was having lunch at pho408 when I realized this place was opened so I checked it out! There is no seating for this shop so you take it to go. Both my husband and I tried the orange grapefruit green tea and it tasted good. It reminds me of Tea Top. Not all Wushiland Boba Tea's are created equal. The ones in SoCal are the best. The one in Fremont comes closest to the ones in SoCal. The one here in San Jose lacks tea flavor, boba is hard, and too sweet (even though I got 25% sweet.) The only thing good about this location is the wait time. Very inconsistent. I was so excited to try this location after trying the Fremont one and this one was very disappointing. I ordered the black tea ice cream with mini pearls. The Fremont location puts a generous amount of mini pearls and the ice cream is nice and creamy. Oakridge adds very very minimal pearls, the 2 times Ive ordered this drink and both times the same outcome. I'm not even 1/3 into my drink and the mini pearls are gone. As for the ice cream, I have to leave it in the sun for 10 min for it to blend in with the tea. Overall, very disappointing. Nothing compared to the Fremont location. It's a further drive, but worth it. Oakridge Wushiland does not live up to the hype. Please do better. Lots of room for improvevent. read more

The quality of the boba is inconsistent. Sometime it's soft yet chewy, but sometime it's not cooked through. Please work on the consistency. However, the serving size of the topping is the most generous I've ever seen in the Bay Area. read more

Was very excited to try this new place, I ordered 3 of the "pearl milk tea" which comes with small mini bobas which I was really looking forward to AND waited 40 minutes in line just to get all 3 drinks wrong and all taste like milk. Very disappointed. Also could not check if the drinks had boba because the cup was not clear and it was a paper cup. Maybe it's still soft opening, but I've visited this location on 4 separate occasions and the quality of the drinks has been pretty inconsistent. I typically order the oolong tea latte with pearls, and today's was really watery. Another day was super milky with little tea flavor. However there was one day where the drink and toppings both came out really well though, so maybe the staff is still being trained. If quality become more consistent, I'll come back and change my rating. read more
