I had a horrible experience with this service department. My car was at the dealership for a total of almost six days across two separate drop-offs. I originally scheduled an appointment because I assumed the entire point of making an appointment was to avoid long wait times and have your vehicle serviced quickly. Instead, it sat there for two full days without being touched. That was incredibly inconvenient. I could've continued driving my car and dropped it off once someone was actually available to work on it instead of being without it for no reason. Once the issue was finally diagnosed, I was told the repair would take about eight hours. Since I couldn't continue being without my car, I picked it up and paid for the diagnosis, parts, and labor for the work that would be completed when I brought it back. I later found a time when being without my vehicle would be the least disruptive and dropped it off again. Even though I'd been told it was an eight-hour repair, it ended up taking almost another three days. At the end of the second day, I was told, "If people would leave the tech alone and let him work on it, it'll be done." I honestly couldn't believe that was said to me. That response made it sound like either the department was too disorganized to let a technician finish the job or there just wasn't much concern for the customer's time. Later that day, I was told the car still wasn't finished, but that I'd have it by noon the next day. That mattered because I had work-related client meetings starting at 1:00 p.m. The next morning, I was told it wouldn't be ready because someone had just been sent to get another part. I don't understand how my car could've been there for several days, after already being diagnosed during the first drop-off, before anyone realized another part was needed. They also knew I needed the car back for work. They did provide me with a rental, which allowed me to get to my meetings. But when I returned the rental and finally came to pick up my car, I was told that what I'd already paid was only a deposit and that I owed another $2,300. That brought the total cost of the repair to nearly $4,000. This was never clearly explained to me in any of my conversations with the service department. I genuinely believed I had already paid for the parts and labor, so being hit with another $2,300 after days of delays and poor communication was infuriating. The issue I was having with the car was a minor inconvenience. Had the full cost been clearly communicated to me from the beginning, I would've passed on the repair entirely or waited until I was financially prepared to spend that much. A nearly $4,000 repair shouldn't be something a customer only understands by closely examining the fine print. Clear and honest communication should be a basic standard, especially when that much money is involved. I understand that parts can be expensive and that repairs don't always go exactly as planned, especially for a Mustang Mach-E, which is a less common and more specialized vehicle. That isn't the main issue. The main issue is the lack of clear communication, the repeated delays, the inaccurate promises about when the car would be ready, and the nonchalant attitude about how long I was being left without my vehicle. Maybe this dealership considers this a normal or acceptable way to handle service, but I don't. Customers should have the total cost and payment expectations clearly explained to them, be informed when anything changes, and have their vehicles serviced within a reasonable amount of time after a scheduled appointment. I'll never return to this dealership for service or to purchase a vehicle. I really hope this experience isn't representative of Ford dealerships in general, because the entire process made it feel like my time, money, and trust didn't matter. read more

My primary concern was the complete lack of transparency. I was presented with a long list of high-stakes repairs but was shown zero physical evidence--no old parts, test results, photos of wear, or fluid samples--to justify the leap from a simple oil change to a multi-thousand-dollar service. I wasn't even shown official Ford service intervals, just a screen in their computer. As a woman walking in alone, the process felt more like a "hostage" tactic than a consultation. They waited until my car was already in the shop and I was at home to send automated text messages requiring quick approval for a massive "pile-on" of services. Because they had my vehicle in their possession and used high-stakes language about "required" work, I felt I had no choice but to approve it--I couldn't risk leaving with a car they had labeled as potentially unsafe. To make matters worse, my service advisor joked about how much he cheated in high school. As a teacher, this did not foster trust that he had outgrown that habit. They claim every vehicle on the lot gets it! I explained that this is plain gouging. There is NO way this is even close to dealer cost anyway ( having many years of dealer experience). Purchase vehicles there carefully, check the cost of the fees vs what the legitimate costs are and especially the non negotiable add ons. The service department - at least the service advisor (M.H.) - created false expectations almost immediately when I brought my vehicle in for service on a Thursday. He could have been truthful and told me that they get 80-100 vehicles per day for service and that it would be several days before they could look at it. Instead, he said that he would text me - probably multiple times per day - the next day, which was Friday. I called later in the afternoon on Friday and was never able (throughout the course of this ordeal) to speak with someone in the service department. Not once. Always had to call the sales department to speak with a human. They were able to tell me that Mike H. was off that day. That's probably why no texts, despite what I was told. Called midday Saturday. Spoke with sales because no one in service answered. Said they'd walk back there to see what was up. Received a text from someone who did not identify themselves saying no answers and that it would be Monday. Mid afternoon Monday, I received a diagnoses which said, "Hey sir, this is M.H. at Wyatt Johnson Ford they found rodent damage to the wiring harness. To repair the harness and fix it will be $916 plus tax. I immediately authorized repairs. Finally went to pick up truck one week later, expecting to pay $916 plus tax. I was surprised when M.H. said nearly $1500, which is 50% more than what he told me. He somehow whittled it down to just over $1300, which is still 30% more than what he quoted me in his text, which I am saving. Their lack of communication, inaccessibility and upcharge on a quoted amount is a huge financial burden for a senior citizen on a fixed income. Have you ever had to pay over $1,000 to replace a 12-volt battery on a car or truck with less than 15,000 miles on it? Well I did! And it took more than twelve days to get my truck back. The complaints on Google, Yelp, and at BBB are very true about Wyatt Johnson Ford's service center. And you had better bring cash because to add salt to the wound of anyone who makes the mistake of trusting them, they add a surcharge if you use a credit card. Mine was an extra $20 on top of an already absurd amount! I had to have my Ford Maverick towed there because I received an ambiguous 'safely stop now' message, after which the truck would not start. It likely was a recall or defect issue, but the 'kind, customer-friendly' service department at Wyatt Johnson made sure to ream me for it. Note the quotes. At least Ford has been kind enough, in this instance, to not charge me for the tow. Their roadside assistance program was the only bright spot in this whole travesty. During this whole incident, I had to make fifteen calls over eleven days, including one to Wyatt Johnson's service manager, to get answers about the problem with my truck and when I could expect to get my truck back. All promises to return phone calls were ignored. The first service tech that was responsible for my truck did have a family emergency pop up that took him out for a few days, but his back-up was no more reliable in returning calls. If you live in the Nashville, TN area and need service on your Ford, read up on the experiences of others first, then decide where to take it. Your choice of any other Nashville-area Ford dealer should speak volumes to Wyatt Johnson and to Ford. read more

I have never bought a new car. I've had several 'new to me' cars in my life, but never brand new. But, I'm happy to say I just bought my new off the lot car a few weeks ago at Wyatt Johnson Ford, and I could not have had a better experience! From the absolute start when I requested a test drive online.... I immediately received a text from Phil, and I'm so happy he is the one who I was paired with from the get go. Before even meeting I had several questions and he answered all honestly and quickly, even sending pictures and ensuring I had all info I wanted prior to our meeting the next day. I met Phil at the designated time, I Ubered there since my last car had died. He was, and is, the best. Welcoming, friendly, and beyond knowledgeable. He walked me around and showed me 3 vehicles (variations of the model I wanted) and throughly explained features, both cosmetic and safety, before heading on a test drive with me. I loved the vehicle, but I am a lady who always does research and keeps options open. I was honest and let him know I had an appointment that afternoon at a Chevy dealership to test drive one other car I was potentially interested in. He even had positive things to say about that. He asked if I was comfortable driving home in the car with him and he could bring it back to the dealership, wanted me to get more time driving it. Hours later, after the (terrible) Chevy appointment, I called Phil to confirm he was still there and available. I Ubered back and started the process of my new purchase! We went on another test drive and then sat down to do the paperwork. I was a little nervous before hand as it was my first 'big purchase' but they made it so easy. My financing person was Lee and he is also so amazing. Answered questions, cracked jokes and was easy to talk to, and explained the process start to finish. I drove my new 2023 Ford Bronco Sport home that night.... Which I was NOT EXPECTING. Since then, I've even received texts from Phil just checking in and seeing how everything was going. Unheard of in todays world. Just picked up my plates from the dealership today, and they even took care of putting on my vehicle for me. I know most people only have negative things to say about car dealerships, and I understand why. Most are so pushy. This place is not like that. I cannot give enough kudos to the entire team I dealt with from start to finish. Thank you all for making this a happy and enjoyable process for me! My mistake was to still attend the appointment without having a clear price in hand. I arrive to find a service guy who told me he could give me a key for $650 approx. Came here with my 2012 Boss 302 Mustang for an oil change and was in and out in ~45 minutes on a Saturday morning with no issues. I brought my own oil and filter (9 quarts of 5w-50 oil is not cheap at a dealer) and they had no problem with that and it was very inexpensive for the labor. Also my car had a splitter on it which makes it very hard to get on/off ramps, but this dealer didn't have an issue and turn me away like I have been elsewhere. All the employees were nice, and I plan on taking my car there for any more service/maintenance that it needs in the future. read more

HORRIBLE, scammy salesman who live off a small salary & make most their money off commissions to raise the price of repairs. Kendall was extremely dishonest from the start. He clearly acknowledged I had a warranty & claimed most would be covered under the warranty except if a coolant hose was the problem. I was sent a quote for $2100 for two hoses & a few minor things that were supposed to be covered under warrant. Low and behold, they were requesting 10 things in which 8 were scummy & wrong & the other two had nothing to do with my coolant reservoir However they highly recommended fixing it. My Girlfriend's grandpa owns a ford dealership out of state & double checked the codes we were sent & none of them were associated with my coolant leak at all. The techs couldn't even make sense of the codes we sent over from Wyatt Johnson. Also, there labor was listed close to $300 per hour but when a Commerical Ford division down the street goes for $185 & they work on industrial Commerical bucket trucks & heavy duty equipment. Safe to say this isn't the first time I've been here & I should've learned the first time around. This will be my last & final time visiting. First time I make an appointment for service, when I arrive I am told they can't fix my issue with my vehicle, I will have to take it to a other dealership though I told customer service what I needed to be fixed. Second time, I make an appointment for service, when I arrive I learn my appointment was canceled and they are overbooked. I am told they regularly overbook appointments. I said I was interested in buying it, and I could come in tomorrow. They said no problem. If I could give negative stars, I would. I SUPPOSEDLY had an oil change done on August 4, 2023 (which btw, EVEN WITH AN APPOINTMENT I WAITED FROM APPROX 730am -1215pm for my vehicle... for an oil change. Make that make sense...). Upon leaving the lot, even though the oil change sticker was in the window, my oil life indicator was showing something like 25% left.. and gradually kept going down.. I called back later that day to tell the staff. They assured me that they changed the oil and that all I'd need to do was reset the sensor. Today is November 14th.. I had a tech from Wyatt Johnson do a factory recall via a home visit - he was amazing and I'd give HIM 10/10 stars.. partially because he let me know that my oil AND coolant were at less than 10%, which doesn't make sense given the mileage sticker... I have been calling all day to try and speak to a manager, have left voicemails, I was put on hold for 25 minutes just to be told the manager still wasn't available. I constantly get emails about reselling my vehicle back to them, rating their service, extending my warranty... but when I ACTUALLY need help, they've ghosted me. At this point, how do I know my engine isn't already f****? I plan to take this review wider if I don't hear anything from them soon. read more

Worst experience we've ever had with a dealership. John, was incredibly rude and extremely pushy. He would not listen to anything we said & was coming across as desperate. Like, extremely desperate. Maybe if he worked on his attitude and approach, he'd actually make a sale. We went to look at the Ford Escape and Bronco, and we're never shown accurate numbers. Random charges were being added to the total for things we didn't even add/do to the car. Once they gave us an amount for the trade in value, they wouldn't give me my keys. We have to get up and walk to retrieve them ourselves after asking for them several times, and were then met with the Sales Manager blocking our way from leaving. It was ridiculous. I cannot express enough how disappointed I am with the service at Wyatt Johnson Ford. The utter lack of communication and professionalism is appalling. I had an appointment for a serious issue with my car on 3/27/23 at 9am. I spoke to someone once that afternoon (after calling 5 times) who said they didnt know what was wrong yet and would run more tests and call me back the next morning. He did not call back. I was left completely in the dark for 9 days. The fact that I had to resort to calling multiple times every single day, and even 8+ times one day AND NEVER RECEIVING A CALL OR TEXT OR EVEN AN EMAIL in response is unacceptable. I understand that things happen and cars can be difficult to diagnose, but the complete lack of communication is unacceptable. The service manager's attempt to charge us for a diagnostic after their negligence in contact/communication is beyond comprehension. The fact that my mother had to intervene and negotiate a reasonable price is ridiculous, but we had to pay to it in order for them to allow us to have it towed to another location to be fixed. And to top it all off, the service manager didn't even have the decency to apologize or take responsibility for the lack of communication once he finally called us to get payment AFTER the tow truck to move it was already arranged. He tried to charge $230 for diagnosing my car and just keeping it for almost 2 weeks. We ended up paying $80 so we could get the car moved to a competent mechanic. I would never recommend Wyatt Johnson Ford to anyone for their service needs. It's clear that they don't care about their customers or their vehicles - they only care about getting paid. I'm not even sure they care so much about that either. I don't know who is running this place, but it's the worst experience I HAVE EVER encountered ANYWHERE with ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS. It's a shame that a business can operate like this and still have customers. By the way, after I started having problems getting in touch with someone, I looked them up on the BBB website and they have a 1.3 star rating out of 5. I recently had service and repair on my 2020 F150. They said it was finished but when they pulled it around the tires were still low on pressure making me doubt they actually rotated them. They were supposed to change my windshield wipers but after I left I saw they didn't. The techs just checked these done without doing it. Did they actually change my oil and other service checks or just mark them off the list? I can't know. I got a survey from them afterward and expressed my concerns. Doing a great job maintaining the shady car dealership stereotype! Bought a 2022 F-150 less than 3 months ago from here, and the battery was having issues, so I got it checked out here. Turns out it needed replacing and had lost its warranty! So, I was originally quoted just under $500 to replace the battery. Turns out that quote was incorrect, but I still had to pay about $300 to replace a battery that now has a 3 year warranty, but the truck that is under 3 years old couldn't get the warranty for the existing battery. Neither the service person I was working with or their supervisor would look me in the eye when explaining this situation because they clearly knew I was getting hosed. Won't be back, won't be bringing any further business here. So I paid just under $700 to get a bed cover attached and replace a battery. This was my first car purchase so I was pretty nervous given the stigma of working with dealerships but at Wyatt Johnson Ford, they were honest, listened to me and helped me get to a payment that really worked for me. Run, don't walk. These guys are non-responsive when it comes to service. My Explorer had a water leak inside the cabin somewhere. It took 4 visits to finally get attention. Time after time, I brought it in to be addressed with recall work and it was ignored. Finally, after paying$150+ to have the sunroof drains cleared and a supposed water test, it still leaks like a sieve when it rains. Now, no one will respond. It will take weeks to get another appointment and the service manager, Chris, who said he would call has not. I would leave a voice-mail but none of the extensions I have been transferred to so far even bother to identify who's phone it is. If you like the run around, and perhaps the worst customer service in the Ford network, then this place is for you. read more
