Easy read: Got me in on a walk up and was out the door in 20 minutes with a fixed tire at no charge! Full story: 2 weeks ago I got a low tire pressure warning. Put air in. Low tire pressure about a week later. More air. Same thing. Was running errands and was driving by Mcduffee tire so I stopped in at 4:00pm when they close at 5:30. It was before Memorial Day and they would be closed until Tuesday because of the holiday so they were busy. Still they fit me in! I heard Paul speaking with customers while I was in the waiting room. He gave them realistic expectations on wait times and sounded fair about what costs might be expected. One person clearly asked to be fit in sooner and he said "hey drop it off and I will figure out a way to get it in." Very nice people and business. Had a flat tire and needed a patch to get us back on the road. Very honest and did not upsell on anything. They allowed the patch to dry for 30 minutes. I didnt have that great of an experience here. I needed something fixed in my car and also asked if they could check my tires etc and I'll be glad to pay for both. They said no problem and theyll be sure to add air to the tires. I reminded them again when they called me to tell me more about what they thought was going on with my car. Later they called me and the quote to fix the issue was high and not worth the price of my car. Turns out they didn't even check my tires. I guess since I didn't pay the large fee for my car repair the basics were not worth it to them. I'm leaving 3 stars since I feel I cant adequately rate how good they are but I felt a bit duped. I also googled the average price of the repair and they quoted me double the average cost and I certainly don't have an expensive car. I wont be back. read more

I found these guys to be the best I could have asked for. They are a family owned company that has been around for a long time. I appreciated them treating me like an actual person, and not just a customer. They understood my needs for my car, and didn't try to up sell me things that i did not need. Family owned and operated for over 25 years, McDuffee's specializes in all things tires. I blew a tire that was less than a year old, Gary, the owner, personally called Goodyear to ask for a warranty reimbursement. He was able to secure 75% of the value of the bad tires for a new set. great service! Doug, his son was also super attentive and friendly. these guys are all about customer service and making sure your car is taken care of. bonus: if you have kids with you they have a little kids corner with all sorts of books, toys and crayons. I just had a pleasant-enough experience at McDuffee. In fact, the customer service was great. But I paid $179 per tire for my Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max (plus $60 labor) where they are plainly $133 - $150 at most other vendors online... Walmart, Sams, etc. I had asked while in the store if they had a price-mach guarantee, but they don't. Of course, I was already there with a flat tire so I wasn't going anywhere else. __________ Update: Mr. McDuffee called me today after hearing my voicemail. He didn't offer a credit, but he did talk with me about the tire business and the benefits of his services (free lifetime rotation & balance, etc.). He explained that most of these other tires retailers must order tires which comes with additional hidden shipping costs. While I'm still annoyed that I feel as though I over-paid slightly, I can't fault the McDuffee customer service philosophy. I've gone from 2 the 3 stars. read more

I'm always a little nervous to take my car somewhere on my own because I know very little about cars, which can easily be taken advantage of. McDuffee was great! I called one afternoon and got in early the next morning to get my car checked. The issue ended up being something different than what I had suspected (and a little more expensive than I originally had planned for). I didn't want to commit to the fix right then, so they let me take my car without pressuring me to fix immediately and without charging for the consultation! I was impressed. I ended up deciding to go through with it and called to make another appointment. The owner (I assume) remembered me and got me in the very next day! He was very honest with me about the issue (even telling me that it might not be worth it if I was considering getting a new car sometime soon). Which I was considering, but the new tires and alignment makes my car feel brand new! I'm very pleased. I will definitely be going back for any future car needs in Nashville! This place was on it. I had an emergency and needed a specific tire for my company car. I called at LEAST 20 places, and no one was able to make it happen same day. They promptly called me back, I told them to order the tires, and I was in and out of there in NO time! Mind you, this is on a Good Friday, a day they were absolutely SWAMPED. Have I mentioned I was even dealing with the owners? That shows pride in your business right there. I've worked in their industry, and I know what they are going through in the back. The fact they were this busy, and STILL took the time to call me back (in like 20 minutes!!), and THEN order me 4 expensive tires, speaks volumes about their customer service. This place is great. I've had a great deal of trouble with my tires in the past 7-8 months and I've come here all 4 times. I feel that they are really honest with me (as a young female with hardly any car/tire knowledge) and truly care for my safety. Upfront about problems and pretty quick to get things taken care of... Prices aren't outrageous and my dad (retired mechanic) was happy with their repairs. I couldn't have asked for a better experience anywhere. I was 2 hours from home traveling for a fall break vacation when I press on the breaks and an awful grinding noise made me fell as if my van was going to break. I limb on the next off ramp and pull over to inspect. I find that I am having a break caliper issue that could be serious. Not being from around the area and hours from home I do a quick auto repair search on my gps and find 15 places within 5 miles of my location. I immediately look at the reviews and noticed McDuffee had a 5 star rating and lots of people having great experiences. I call and explain the situation I am in,they were quick to say they could absolutely help. I drive to there location that was 3 miles away and was met by Mike who was quick to make an inspection and pull my van in for repair. After about 45 minute to an hour later my van is pulled around front. I went to pay for the service and was told there was no charge!!!! I had a broken caliper bolt that they repaired, not only making time for me immediately even though the shop was packed with vehicles, was offered coffee, toys for my children to play and a smile that just gave us a peace of mind. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience and would highly recommend McDuffees for all repairs. The customer service is top notch and we made it to our destination with no troubles. My daughter carried her car by with a "smoking engine" and they diagnosed her problem to a leaking hose and fixed it at a nominal cost. Honest service for a fair price, what a great concept! It takes a very impressionable experience to get me to take time to write an actual review. This place completely over-delivered with their customer service. First, I dropped of my car without an appointment which meant I had to leave it there for a few hours...no big deal. I work right up the street. They refused to allow me to walk back to work and offered me a ride. Second, they made sure I was aware of an additional issue with my tire, marked it to monitor in the future, but did not convince me or demand I needed to purchase a new tire TODAY. Last, and not least I show up to pickup my car and they completely over-delivered with their customer experience. 2000% recommend this location! I'm going to tell all my friends, families, acquaintances even about this location. Last year my husband and I were having all sorts of problems with our car. We were told that it needed a new transmission (lets say from shop A). They didn't install used transmission, so a new one would cost more than what we paid for the vehicle. Wanting a second opinion, we took it to a transmission shop (shop B)-where they promptly told us that the transmission was fine. We took it to a third shop (shop C) where they informed us that it needed a new cat converter and recommended taking it to McDuffee's for the repairs. Upon taking it to McDuffee, they informed us that not only did it need a new cat converter, but other things under the hood looked really shady and recommended that we just purchase a new vehicle as the cost of repairs could quickly add up to more than what we paid for the vehicle. We were very disappointed in the state of our vehicle as we had just purchased it not too long ago from a private seller. We appreciated McDuffee's honesty as we had not heard anything from any of the other shops about how bad the state of our vehicle really was in. We decided to take their advice and purchase a different vehicle instead of "rolling the dice" on the one we had. McDuffee's really helped us in purchasing our new vehicle! We brought them three different cars (at different times during our search) we were thinking about purchasing and they gave us an honest opinion about that the cars had gone through and what problems we might encounter if we purchased them. They not only gave us their honest feedback, but also gave us tips about what to look out for as we were looking. When we finally found a reliable vehicle, and had the "McDuffee stamp of approval," they even encouraged us to consider having the timing belt replaced (based on the age of the car, and if the seller couldn't provide an idea of the last time it was replace). They even provided a quote for the cost, so we could take it into consideration if we were to buy, and for us to take to the seller to help negotiate a better price for the vehicle. McDuffee's service has been excellent! They have a shop full of honest employees, who really care about their customers. They have provided excellent, and timely service to us on every occasion! Not being mechanically minded ourselves, we have taken our vehicles to them on several occasions about things we weren't sure were normal. They have always inspected our concerns and even fixed little things for free! I highly recommend McDuffee's! If they can fix it, we won't be taking our car anywhere else!
