The bagels here are absolutely delicious, however, for the past 2 weeks in a row, we have been shorted in our order and also given incorrect items. Just this week, we ordered 15 bagels: 4 sesame; 2 rye; 3 cinnamon raisin; 3 egg; 1 pumpernickel; 1 whole wheat everything; 1 health (grains and nuts, I think that's what it's called, my wife picked them up and that was hers). We did NOT get the pumpernickel and we got a whole wheat WITHOUT the everything, so it was a whole wheat nothing bagel. The previous week was similar. The other issue is consistency. One of the sesame bagels was of a normal size, one was about 60% of that size and two of them were the size of softballs (one of which was extremely overcooked). This is an indication of poor training of the employees. Whoever is in the prep area and the people in the front of house either don't really pay attention to what they are doing or they just don't care. Both attitudes are fatal to a business, in the long run. I called and spoke to "Angela" who promised us recompense for the errors next week, when we come in, but we will see if that happens. I work close by and I don't know why I keep trying. bagels are not that good you need a crispy outside and fluffy inside! I got a wrap today with turkey and mozzarella , they didn't put lettuce and tomato like I asked and they don't use fresh mozzarella not good. place looks dirty and run down inside, the door to the back kitchen filthy where people pushes it open. Ok Wyckoff Bagel has been my latest go to for bagels, however the board of health need to do spot inspections and they need to correct their sanitary habits. This morning everyone was working with only one glove. Make a sandwich and ring it up. Take your money and then make someone else's sandwich with out washing or changing gloves. There was a gentleman behind the counter taking orders, making sandwiches and handling money aside from having a nice thick head of hair down to his shoulders with no covering. The food isn't that bad, and yes the staff can be a little... blunt, but I won't be going back just because the owners are so rude to their staff. I just wanted a black coffee and the lady (who i'm assuming is the owner or part ownership) just yelled the direction 3 times to the poor guy and said no sugar or cream multiple times to him. Ma'am... i'm pretty sure he heard you the first time. No need to yell in front of him with a customer there. It's embarrassing to the guy, who's just trying to make a buck. I mean working at a bagel shop isn't a career choices. Stop acting like you're a CEO for a huge conglomerate. And for the dude, making my egg wrap and coffee; you can defiantly do better sir. I know it's hard finding work, specially work that's rewarding and pays well, but you'll find better people out there. A place that will give you with more respect than the owners of Wyckoff Bagel. I have to first say that the bagels here are actually rather good. However, as mentioned in other reviews, there are no posted menus, pricing, etc., which would be pretty simple and inexpensive to accomplish if just a little bit of effort was made. I too have noticed that the staff don't wear gloves or wear them only one at a time and there's really no excuse for that. In terms of the staff attitude I would not say that they are rude necessarily, but they are certainly not welcoming either. The size of the bagels they sell are huge and for me they are just a bit too big to eat in one sitting, but I know that some folks will find this to be a plus. Personally, I think they do that purposefully to compete with other shops in the area. Lastly, they make a mini-bagel that my kids love and other parents in that area have told me about their children liking them too. However, they are almost always out of them when I and others I've spoken to go in there. One would think that if they were selling so many of those that they would be constantly making more to fill the need. Unfortunately, based on the fact that they don't appear to make a whole lot of effort to do anything to improve their business practices, I don't have high hopes for any changes in the near future, sorry to say. read more

Decent local bagel shop. Stopped in this morning before getting onto 208. Placed a basic order, egg and cheese on a toasted everything, salt pepper and hot sauce. The sandwich was made fresh and the egg was cooked perfectly. The bagel was the perfect combination of crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. This bagel shop doesn't even deserve one star. Besides the fact at how dirty looking the inside counter is. They screwed up my order, tried to call 3 times no answer so I left work to go back to the store to ask them to please correct the sandwiches and if they wouldn't mind please add a piece (one) of cheese to one of the sandwiches because it looked like half a slice. They quickly made the sandwiches with no issues then told Me it would be .50 cents for the cheese. Walked in and the bagels did not look great but was my first time so i thought i would give it a try. I noticed one employee behind counter walking around with no gloves and a female with only one glove on handling food. I placed my order with someone else. Came here based on a recommendation from a friend. Did not disappoint. I ordered 6 bagels to go and one bagel sandwich with lox, cc, etc. The bagels here are amazing - chewy, soft, and huge! The lox sandwich was amazing (maybe a little too much cc, but I'm not complaining). Enjoyed another bagel later in the day and I am so happy I found this place! This is one of my go-to spots. The bagels are fluffy rather than dense like some other spots. I'm not saying that's better or worse, but it depends on the mood I am in.
