This is my go-to local bagel spot. They have an expansive menu that includes wonderful options for both breakfast and lunch. Their bagels are great and they always have tons of options. I also like that they have healthy options for smoothies and other protein packed dishes if you come right from the gym this is great. The place is small inside - you can only fit about 10-15 people in there before its packed, i do wish it was bigger to fit the business they do. This place is constantly busy. Which bring me to the biggest issue - This place is BUSY! Sometimes you can get lucky and call in your order ahead of time but many times on the weekends they are so busy they will pickup the phone and just hang up on you. Its happened to me many times. If there was another local spot I'd go there but there are not many other options close by and their food is great! I just think they are too busy for their own good sometimes, the staff struggles. Besides the shotty service sometimes simply because they are so busy, in all other instances its never a problem and i would definitely recommend this place. There were 2 other bagel spots and 3 deli's that went out of business while NY Bagel survived! This is the local spot for bagels and sandwiches. Their bagels are just as good as anybody else's. I like their breakfast platters and they have a flavor of the day for coffee. They have a huge selection of sandwiches and fresh smoothies. I've never tried their pizza. The food here is great there is no denying it. The bagels are perfect. Not too doughy and not too crisp. I get one of my favorite "cheats" here once a week usually. The coffee is always great always tastes fresh and I love they have flavors of the day, the Irish cream one is to die for. I also get their fresh juice they have some great ones but they are a bit more money. Average is about $7. Now here's what I don't like and it's really bothering me. The prices are not low by any means because of the area and I'm fine with it because it's quality however charging an extra 4% on top of the prices if customers use their credit or debit card?! That's really not ok. I understand the machines cost money but come on! It adds up if you go on a regular basis I think it's unfair to loyal customers. Hopefully they change Just left there and was pleasantly surprised that the owner approached me in a nice way after seeing my review. He explained some things to me about the credit card fees and did his best to fix the situation. It means a lot when someone tries to fix something like this. I will def keep going back. Grateful they remained open even in the midst of a pandemic of course when they were allowed to with multiple safety features; it is a small shop so you do have to wait your turn outside because of the mandatory five customers at a time. They have the best selection of bagels in the area including Black Russian. I don't really get other than a few bagels but I will say they have a broad menu including fresh squeezed juices which are delicious. Did have their falafel once and I wouldn't recommend it there especially as we have so much great falafel in the area. This place has the best iced coffee in the area. I love how the ice that they use is also frozen coffee within the drink. The hands down KING of all bagels. I've had bagels all over North Jersey and I can honestly say if I had to choose one food to eat for the rest of my life it would be a buttered bagel from here. Big, usually still warm, with the perfect mix of softness on the inside and a slight crust on the outside. Coffee is exceptional as well and every day they have a different flavored coffee...during the week at least. Its the biggest thing I miss about not living in that area anymore. The place is usually packed so leave some time especially on the weekends. Just tell them to go light on the butter or cream cheese, its a very thick butter and you usually get a lot unless you ask for less. Small place but super quick. Def better for take out than eat in but they do have small tables if you wanted. Doesn't sit too many people though. Only thing is that bagels were not "fresh out of the pot" however they were still soft and good tasting. They will scoop your bagel for you which is really good as most other places don't.
