My mom has been going here every morning and she raves about it so I decided to give it another try and was very pleased. It was very busy but I was greeted immediately and the owner took my order and was joking about the fact that I ordered very healthy items as far as you can I'm a bagel shop lol. This place on a Sunday morning is a shit show. You need to make it a point to order in advance if you are looking to have some bagels on a Sunday morning. I called in a Taylor ham egg and cheese, bacon egg and cheese, and a bagel with cream cheese and jelly. Even though we called in the order 15-20 minutes prior, we still had to wait when we picked up our bagels. There is really no structure when you come here when it's busy and there are like 4 lines that kind of just merge together and its a big mess. Though their bagels with just regular cream cheese is pretty good their breakfast sandwiches I've noticed aren't the best. The Taylor ham in my egg sandwich was really gummy and it tasted like they didn't take the time to crisp it up. There was also barely any ketchup on the bagel when we asked for salt, pepper, ketchup. If you are looking to just pick up a toasted bagel with something simple like cream cheese, this place might be worth stopping into but if you are a fan of hot well made breakfast sandwiches go to one of the other dozen bagel shops in the area. Also, everything on their menu seems to be super over priced and this is probably like my 5th visit to this joint. read more

Okay, I don't know how... but this was the worst iced coffee we've ever experienced in our lives. Incredibly burnt - like we were shocked by how bad this tasted. We ordered this morning and the order arrived right away... or should I say HALF of our order arrived right away. We ordered two iced coffees, two sausage egg and cheese sandwiches, and hash browns. Only one coffee and one sandwich arrived and the receipt was ripped to only show the two coffees and one sandwich, yet our order was not adjusted in the app and we only got the one coffee. So, I'm in town for a few days and stopped here for a grilled bacon/egg/cheese bagel when I mentioned to my wife 'I wish we had a place like this in Houston. We'd certainly keep them in business.' This little place is bright and clean. The people are friendly. And the food is top notch. My wife is a Yankee. I'm a Southern boy. We occasionally make the trek from Texas to NJ to visit her family. I learned to really like grilled bagel sandwiches during my four years as a resident here (South Jersey), but I never remember a place this good, all-around. If I were a local, I'd certainly add to the bottom line here, because the bagels are hot, fresh and expertly made. And the polite service makes me feel like I'm in Texas. Rolled his eyes hit the register walked the three feet and grabbed the bagel. Really haven't encountered someone so rude in a very long time. Absolutely amazing customer service. I order from this spot whenever I'm in town and the food is always great. Today I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and lox, and unfortunately they forgot to put the lox in the bagel. It was busy time on a Sunday and things happen, but I was admittedly pretty upset and ready to complain. The first time I came the service is a little aggressive but I didn't mind that so much; however this time was much more pleasant. Had been here a few times a few years ago and was not impressed. It was very busy and it was difficult to place an order due to uncoordinated staff. However, we tried it again and were very impressed. The place was cleaner. The staff was well organized. It was early in the morning so there was no line, but other people came in and picked up their orders (you can text them an order) and it was well done. The bagels are large and good. My girlfriend asked me to get a toasted sesame bagel. When it came out, it was a bit burned. Instead of just putting it in the bag and handing it to me, he looked down at it and asked me if it was too dark. I said it was and he shook his head in obvious agreement. This place is terrible, came here for the first time to get lunch. I ordered a ham and cheese with mustard on a bagel. When i got back to work and opened the sandwich, I discovered the skimpiest lunch I ever had. Just two thin slices of ham and even thinner slice of cheese. The mustard was thicker than the sandwich. They make really good sandwiches and the service is always quick. They obviously focus on bagels, but they have all other deli options as well. During holidays they even make themed bagels like in the shape of hearts for Valentines Day and clovers for Saint Patrick's day. If you really love bagels they will even make bagels in the shapes of letters or numbers to display for someone's birthday or an event. They keep the place very clean and neat. It is the kind of place where they are happy to have regulars and after a few times going (if you are friendly) you can walk in and order "the usual" because they know your order already. It's perfect when you want a snack rather than a meal. Definitely give their veggie cream cheese & scallion cream cheese a try-- very fresh! They're quite generous when it comes to lox, as well. The pancakes are perfectly fluffy AND they taste exactly the same heated up (always a plus!) If you get it to go, the utensils are under the pancakes beneath the foil. Paninis are quite good-- try the pastrami & provolone & you won't be disappointed. The smoked turkey & jack cheese is a bit salty because of the jack cheese and ranch, BUT their ranch is made in-store (so good). Maybe ask for the ranch on the side? It's been a few years since we moved out of Hawthorne but we were in the neighborhood this morning and stopped by our old haunt. Same owner and he seems to have tons of loyal fans and neighbors still giving him plenty of business and rightly so - this place is a GEM. Quick, efficient staff. Coffee is HOT, bagels are soft and fresh. My son said his pancakes and bacon were the best he's had in a long time. My son was given 2 fresh chocolate chip cookies. As if that wasn't enough, the owner comes out and gives my son an additional cookie with cool designs on it for the New Year. He conversed with him about making bagels and then took him and my husband back in to the kitchen to show him how they do it. I have one happy kid! The prices are very reasonable and it was just a super pleasant experience. If you're in Hawthorne, Wyckoff or Ridgewood and need a little breakfast (or lunch) stop by this little bagel shop and you will feel welcome and happy. The bagels are way too doughy and, frankly, many taste the same. The rye tastes like the plain which tastes like the cinnamon raisin.....you get the idea. You can text in your order and come pick it up, but the last couple times my orders have not gone through and I've waited upwards of ten minutes for orders placed in the store with no one else waiting. The woman running the register refuses to help customers and the system is just... flawed.
