We loved our stay here Labor Day weekend. Nice spacious rooms, little personal touches here and there, complimentary breakfast, spa access and parking. Customer service and hospitality were 5/5. Super centrally located. Would recommend to everyone!

We stayed for three nights at Wydown Hotel. It's a nice spot right on Main Street in downtown Saint Helena. The location is great, can't go wrong. Walkable to most restaurants, shops and bars. Our room was had a window facing onto Main Street so it was extremely load. Our TV was tiny. Nice large bathroom. We had a Nespresso machine, 2 complimentary bottle waters and 2 sparkling waters in the fridge. The floor in our room was wet, like they just cleaned it but it took 2 days to dry? There was also a Febreze smell in hallway that never went away during our stay that was very strong. Breakfast was complimentary and they offered juices, coffee/tea, banana/apples, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and danish/pastries from Model Bakery. Widow Hotel has a large rear parking lot that is private and convenient, and no additional charge.

Definitely a great choice. Located right on Main St downtown, walkable to restaurants, bars and stores. Parking available in the back for guests. Easy and quick check in. Decor so cute in lobby and hallways. Cookies and juices available near elevators. We stopped and grabbed something every time we passed by. Lol hotel only has 12 rooms total all located on second floor. We had room 7 right next to elevator. Still quiet and didn't hear any noises outside our room. Room was very clean and comfortable size. Refrigerator was stocked with free water and beverages inside. Free WiFi. Omg bed is super comfy!!!!! Pretty much a nice gem. Definitely will stay here again on our next adventure.

The photos don't do it justice. Rooms are big, clean, and cozy. The staff is amazing and friendly. They serve complimentary breakfast with the Model Bakery pastries! Although, the bakery itself is a 5 min walk away. We wanted to eat in our room and they toasted everything for us and gave us a tray with utensils to take up. Also there is free parking, free wifi, and the drinks in the fridge are yours to take (Perrier and Izze). Only con is that the front desk is not 24/7 and they go home at 9:30. Something to consider if you're checking in late. Also as one of the other reviews mentioned, there is a skylight in the room which doesn't help with sleep but is not too big of a deal given the pros.

Nice bed, bottles of wine not included.

They welcome you with a nice personalized sign in your room, complimentary water and apples. The sustainable features are impressive - Instead of plastic bottles and paper cups, they give you a glass carafe and glass cups. The towels are so soft and plentiful, extra pillows and a blanket supplied were nicer than my own linens at home, certainly not just the extras. They supply cozy and comfy robes, a duraflame log for the fireplace upon request, and a sweet turn down service with stamped cookies that shout "welcome home." We enjoyed the walkability to visit art galleries and boutiques in St. Helena. We attended brunch at Mustard and Dinner reservation at Charter Oak. *Yum*!! After a long day of wine tasting, the restaurant next door/attached has delicious wood fired pizzas which we could not pass up! The drinks at the bar were generous and was a nice switch up from wine (although they have wine too, of course!) while we watched the sports game that was on. We dropped off our Continental breakfast selections which are delivered straight to your room the next morning. We felt so pampered, eating breakfast in the comfort of our own room in our robes and slippers. The mini fridge allowed us to save extras we might want to snack on later. The Illy espresso machine made it so we could enjoy espresso throughout the day and even a decaf shot at night. The pastries served are on another level and pretty much awards them the best Continental breakfast we've ever had!! We were sad we didn't get to take advantage of the health spa privileges, but it felt very nice to know we could have enjoyed the spa and sauna should we have chosen to. They give you a complimentary tasting at Merryvale across the parking lot which is an exceptional value since to reserve online was $60/person. Their wines are fantastic and the people are just as great! Our trip to Napa Valley was superb thanks to the staff and grounds at Southbridge. We will certainly come again and highly recommend it to others traveling and looking for subtle luxury and amazing comfort.

Decided to hop on an app that shows me last minute hotel deals and saw Southbridge at the top of the list. Since we had a babysitter and the room rates were great, we decided to book our last minute stay. Just right across the street from Gotts and next door to Charter Oak, there was plenty of parking in the back. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly and to our surprise, we were given Room 8 which was a big room that had a balcony that faced the street. Highlights - beds and pillows were comfortable, water pressure in the shower was probably the best I've experienced in a while. A quick little walk over to the next building over and as hotel guests, you have full access to all of the amenities at Health Spa Napa Valley (heated lap pool, hot tub, full gym, steam room). This was super nice to just unwind and relax after a day of over indulging. You can also place a light breakfast order to be delivered to your room at your selected time; boiled eggs, croissant, fruit, coffee, etc. Something to be aware of; the hotel is situation right off of the main road Hwy28 so if you're a light sleeper, you will hear cars, trucks and motorcycles all times of the day and night. Definitely plan on coming back again during off peak days to enjoy the amenities.

Ready to stay 1 more night in Napa. Already 3 nights into a 1 night stay and no vacancy anywhere…read more Since we were in the Yountville area we opted for the Alila, a Hyatt brand, in St. Helena makes it 4 nights. This place is super expensive. Good thing I had a bunch of World of Hyatt points to use instead cash. Driving in there are only a few parking spaces so have to use valet parking which I'm never a fan of. But, first perk, it's free. After check in a bell hop walked us to our room. Upon opening the door we are greeted with a awesome view of the Beringer Winery grounds and after stepping on the deck a creek below us. Lots of electronics here including light switches, a tablet with hotel information and be warned as you approach the bathroom the computer toilet lid opens on its own. You've been warned. The light switches by the bed has a romantic setting. Not sure what it did cause the lighting looked the same. All the light control were on touch pads. The deck overlooking the creek and Beringer had a nice couch and 2 big cushioned rocking chairs around a round gas fire pit. It a controlled by a timer on the wall so if you fell asleep out there it would go off on its own. At night the deck is very private but come morning it might be a good idea to wear clothes since people are walking around on the grounds across the way. Unless you just don't care. For dinner we went Salvia on the grounds and perk 2...free corkage for the first bottle when you stay at the hotel. The air stayed on all night which keeps it nice and cool. In the past at other places I've rigged up balloons and other stuff to trick the sensors to keep the air on. So back to Mr. Toilet. Not only does the lid open it is a full bidet with seat warmer, sprays and air dryer. If you want one for your home they are on Amazon. The grounds look great with pool and gym etc. Didn't take in any of the other amenities this time.

We got off to a bit of a rocky start to our stay here and that's possibly because we arrived early…read more We had a long drive and had planned to get some lunch and do some shopping on our way so I thought I had planned it out to arrive around 4:00 (check-in) however, because of the terrible heat lately we found we were not interested in lingering any longer than necessary and that caused us to arrive early. There is really no parking available here. There are a handful of spots that I assume are always taken and then the valet area. They charge $35 per night for the valet, which is not unreasonable, but if I had known then what I know now, I would have parked somewhere nearby and sat in my car in the AC for an hour. We had requested early check-in just in case, and as it was my first time at this property, I assumed I could check out the grounds If they still needed a few moments to prepare my accommodation. I travel a lot and I have been early to many check-ins and either the room is ready or I sit in the air-conditioned lobby while I wait. Honestly, having been to Alila Ventana Big Sur multiple times, I did not think there would be any issue. When we exited the car, the valet directed us to the check-in area. I am not being hyperbolic when I tell you that it was smaller than my walk-in closet. There were three employees inside and us walking in filled the entire room. We were told we could have a seat but I almost laughed. The room is so uncomfortably tiny. A second employee had to squeeze around us with a tablet to go outside and check in another couple while we were being helped. I asked if they had a lobby (hoping to head indoors and rest somewhere with AC) and I was told, with a laugh mind you, "This is it!". Even the staff knows it is ridiculous. Ultimately, they explained that they did not have a room ready and they would put us on a wait list and we could check out the grounds while we waited. The problem with this is that there are really no grounds to check out. There is a grassy area, a pool and a covered area by the bar. We were also advised we could walk over a bridge and down to the neighboring Beringer Vineyards for a discounted tasting. We walked over to look at the pool, which is incredibly small, not as comically small as that check-in area mind you, but still far too small. We were already dripping sweat at this time, but we tried to make the best of it by playing some cornhole. That lasted for 2 minutes and then we sat in the shade by the bar with some waters and waited in the horrible heat. A patron at the bar was complaining of the heat and asked that more fans be brought out so someone placed one on the counter for her. I also heard staff tell her that they have been asking their management for misters for this area because the heat is so unbearable. We meant to grab some bath salts on the way but forgot, so in an attempt to escape the heat, we eventually headed to the spa to purchase some. I spoke to two employees multiple times explaining that I wanted something for the room. I did not like the smell of their larger containers they showed me and opted for singular bath bombs. I liked the lemongrass and lavender. When I did finally make it to my room, I found complimentary bath salt near the tub. This is not a big deal, but it would have been nice if one of them had mentioned that the same items would have been provided for free in my room and saved me the time and money. After my purchase, I went back out into the heat to wait some more. I just want it noted that the rest of our stay was fine, but this introduction to the property was terrible and it is the part that made the mark on my memory of the service and quality here and how they treat their guests. Our room was lovely, easily 9/10. My only complaints are that the beverage cooler did not cool our non alcoholic drinks. It seems to be only for wine and ran at about 60 degrees instead of the 40 I was hoping for. My husband is allergic to alcohol and he likes his drinks cool as well. Unfortunately, there are also no ice dispensers, so you have to either walk to the bar with your bucket and ask for ice or call and request that someone bring it to you. We declined to do either in the heat. There was a tear in our automatic drapes which let some light through and the constant noise from the street was quite loud. However, the bed was very comfortable. I loved the toto bidet (I have them at home) and the small bottle of complimentary Pinot Noir was a nice gesture even if I did not care for it personally. The balcony was lovely and I made good use of the fire pit. We also did an activity while we were here and paid $300 for what was booked as a 90 minute education. It only lasted about 40. Although I enjoyed it, they may want to change the time allowance on the guest reservations as many people factor that into the cost before booking. Based on our experience, I don't know if we'd stay here again.

It's concerning enough that blood is on the sheets and not being cleaned, and it's a whole other concern that housekeeping didn't even notice the stained sheets. The staff was so helpful and carried our bags to the room (and later let us store our bags on our last day when we went to tastings). The property is stunning, with well thought out flowers, fire pits, stained glass, etc. It was one of the most unique spots we stayed in hotel wise in a very long time. The pool onsite was fabulous and cleaned well (though hot tub was slightly slippery so beware). The meeting room was gorgeous for the evening free tastings and everywhere you looked or sat, you found well thought out details. Even the restrooms near the pool had a good smell, were clean, and had higher end soap dispensers, etc. Now for the rooms - super large, cool well on hotter days, and oh man they get so dark at night, you think you are sleeping in a cave. TV worked well and had ton of channels. Coffee maker, small fridge, small fireplace included, and all rooms have a balcony or deck with up to 4 chairs in ours. Rooms were pretty soundproof and the beds were so comfy and large (though wish the pillows were slightly firmer). Free water in the room upon arrival too and plastic glasses to bring pool side. They had comfy robes, a fan in the bathroom, and a little shelf for soap AND for the shampoo and conditioner. The mirror in the bathroom allowed space to put stuff inside and there was also a dedicated spot in the room with mirror and counter space to get ready on. I know some of these things may seem small but honestly, this level of attention to detail is so appreciated. We got great sleep both of our 2 nights. We greatly appreciated the morning breakfast- onsite staff was so kind and I think the scrambled eggs were the best we got in a hotel restaurant ever. Even their simple onsite coffee surprised me, not being too bitter or acidic. Definitely get the model english muffins and the granola bowl! They also have free parking and a small onsite store to buy wine, tide to go pens, etc. Overall a fabulous time and many walkable wineries nearby! Don't hesitate to give it a try.
