This place is so cute, and the baked goods are amazing and the prices are decent. I work at a local business down the street - a customer brought us in some tea cookies, and I made a trip literally the next day. I got a cotton candy cupcake, a frosted cookie and a cinnamon powdered donut twist. My total was 7 bucks which isn't terrible for the number of items I got. The cookie was the star of the show for me - it was delicious and I would go back for a dozen. The cupcake was moist but was just a basic vanilla cupcake with specialty icing which is probably why it was decently priced compared to other shops with stuffed and fluffed cupcakes. The donut had a good consistency and was still warm. The staff was nice enough but did take some time to come out from the back even though there was about 6 people waiting up front. The coffee must be good because while I was there 4 locals stopped in just for that. read more

I visited Wyoming Pastry Shop because it came highly recommended, and I was really looking forward to trying it out. Before making the 30-minute drive, I checked both the website and the Yelp page to confirm they were open, and both said they were. Unfortunately, when I arrived, there was a handwritten note on the door saying they were closed for summer break. This was incredibly frustrating and a huge inconvenience. Businesses need to make sure their hours are accurately reflected online, especially on their website and on social media. I understand the need for a break, but better communication would've saved me time, gas and disappointment. read more

Really bummed at the down turn in quality across the board. I have been a patron of this bakery my entire life and lately everything has been falling short. The cupcakes we picked up today were all dry. The red velvet was especially disappointing. The last couple of custom orders i've put in have had very little thought or creativity put into them. The stock has gone down and what they have does not appear to be fresh. I am so sad to write this review but have been disappointed so many times now. read more

Finally stopped in the Wyoming Pastry Shop after passing it many times! I was hoping for some sourdough, but they were sold out. I was informed you can call and order it ahead of time, so I am excited to try that sometime. My husband and I were headed out on a road trip and didn't want to leave empty handed, so we grabbed a cannoli-- not usually my go-to, but my husband loves them. It was pretty good. Small, but tasty. Picked up the cake yesterday 12/20 for my Mom's 90th birthday and am so disappointed! The cake decoration is nothing like what I'd requested even though I provided a photo on 12/3. It looks tacky and shows there was really no effort to make it beautiful. I'm not looking forward to seeing my Mom's face when we celebrate her today! "I ordered a pizza-themed circle cake for a special occasion, and what I received was a complete disappointment. Instead of a round 'pizza' cake, I got a rectangle that looked more like a spaghetti bake than anything resembling a pizza! It lacked the creativity and attention to detail I expected. This was not at all what I ordered or envisioned, and it really ruined the moment. I won't be ordering from here again . I ordered previously and wasn't amazed but but won't support spaces that don't deliver. read more

How do you choose which donut shop to go to in the greater Cincinnati area? Each village I felt has one and they're all outstanding. This one especially. Light, fluffy with a great crust. My fav local bakery and they make my kids birthday cake when I'm not able to make it myself. Their pumpernickel breads, donuts and cakes are just top notch. I miss their hazelnut roasted coffee as is now not offered anymore but is ok, at least the donuts and cakes are still available read more

They have the best white and Carmel glazed filled donuts. We always get the dog a treat. He loves the donut with the sprinkles on it. I think we have tried about half of their goodies. Both women working looked me up and down as I walked in. They overcharged me for two donuts and a coffee and walked to the back of store when I needed milk for my coffee. I walked out of the shop without coffee so disgusted by my treatment, I will never go back. I live in one of the biggest and most expensive homes in Wyoming and because they judged me on what I had on they lost a customer. read more

I love to come here on Saturday mornings. They have decent service and really good doughnuts. They also have holiday cookies and cupcakes. The only issue is that the building isn't very big and can only support 10-15 people. read more

Delicious, very reasonably priced baked goods. I've tried and enjoyed the chocolate fudge bar (fantastic icing!), numerous cupcakes (yellow or chocolate cake with vanilla or chocolate icing), iced sugar cookies, an old fashioned donut, and more. There's a large selection of everything from breads to cakes to breakfast goods. Overall, a great spot if you're looking for something sweet in the Wyoming area. read more

Whatever they used to fry the glazed twist doughnut in tasted bad. Not sure if the oil was old, but had a very bad aftertaste in my mouth. Donuts look great! Wish it would've tasted like it looked. It also needed more icing. read more

My sister and her husband had a small intimate vow renewal. I wanted to contribute and celebrate with them. A close friend and her family uses Wyoming Pastry shop for thier cakes. It's been a few years since I had the pleasure of enjoying it. I ordered an ombre cake in shades of purple. The cake was very pretty. But even better was the cake inside. Wyoming Pastry Shop is an adorable little pastry shop, located a couple of doors down from the Wyoming Meat Market. The pastry shop is usually closed when we visit the meat market. This visit they were open. We were excited to finally get to try something from them. There are lots of yummy looking pastries, and cakes. We ended up getting a few mini key lime tarts to go. The dot of meringue on top had a nice firm consistency. The key lime filling was not as tart as I prefer it. Crust had a slightly flakey texture. My children absolutely loves them. We look forward to trying more goodies in the future. read more

I went in one morning before work. It was super busy which I figured it would be. There were regulars there. Some drinking their morning coffee and chatting. Some grabbing their items to go. There was several staff assisting people and they were moving fast. I took some time to look before I ordered. When the young woman go to me I know what I wanted. I saw one of my favorite sweet treats, cannolis. Not only did they have regular cannolis, they also had the cupcake version. So that was my order. It was not to expensive, not sure what I was expecting. I got my items to go and was excited to give them a try. I must say I was not disappointed. The cannolis taste fresh and was flavorful. I have had a hard time finding spots here with good cannolis and now I have. The cupcake was delicious. The center was like the center of a cannoli. I ate them both for breakfast and was not disappointed. I have heard a lot about this spot and it was a positive experience. I will definitely be back to try other items that they have. You can feel the tradition and love in this place. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with a welcoming smile. The employees are happy to answer any questions and tell you about their products and are always moving keeping the shop clean, decorating, etc. They all seem to love their jobs. I came to do some social media stuff for work and they were beyond accommodating. They also kept restocking the case which ensured everything was fresh. They have such a wide variety here. They have bread, donuts, cupcakes, cannolis, cookies, cheese pockets, the list goes on and on. The woman behind the counter told me that everything is made in-house from the icing to batter. Super quaint, old-fashioned bakery with all the classics on hand - donuts, cakes, cut-out decorated cookies and even mini cannolis. My husband and I stopped in to pick up a couple treats as we were in the neighborhood. Growing up nearby, this was the bakery my father-in-law frequented Saturday mornings to pick up donuts for my husband when he was a kid and he has fond memories of the place. Stopped in while in the area because I heard they had cannoli, which aren't easy to come by in Cincy! What a cute little shop in such a nice little village. Very sweet staff. My cannoli was excellent, I just wish it was bigger (it was a mini). I also tried a cream puff (mini as well) and it truly was the best cream puff filling I have ever had. I just called to see if there were any valentine's cookies left. I asked if some could be saved for me just like I've always done in the past. I was told first come first served. I live in North College Hill that's too far to drive and the cookies could be all gone. I'm very disappointed that the person I talked to would put a half a dozen valentine cookies a side for me. I'm done with the Wyoming Pastry shop. Times have changed and some people just don't seem to care. Sad thing is I grew up eating baked goods from this place. I will no longer be a customer. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Phil and Kimberly R.

Phil and Kim are the fifth owners of this bakery. Phil is a graduate of Wyoming high school and U.S. Army veteran. He started working in the bakery in high school cleaning the store and doing evening preparations, after returning from military service, he came back to the family business. Kimberly is a Cincinnati native who started baking and decorating as soon as she could reach the table, working for a local bakery at 18 she developed a solid foundation for decorating and baking, moving to Las Vegas and working in fine upscale desserts she honed her skills and continues to seek new techniques. Moving back to Cincinnati she came to work at the pastry shop where we met and fell in love, it’s been 30 years and our passion is only getting stronger.

Such a cute shop for pastries. I ended up hoarding quite a lot of sweets from Wyoming Pastry Shop. I loved how they present their pastries and it really caught my attention. Each one of the sweet treats is very delicious. Love all their cupcakes, doughnuts, cakes, cookies... ahhh love them all! It's not too sweet for me. The ingredients were blended well together to create a perfectly harmonized sweet treat. I also love the people who work for this pastry shop. Always greet people with a smile. Always eager to help. I use to stop in mondays when I had meetings in wyoming, I always had a pleasant experience; however, they always seem to have one person working. This usually isn't a problem until there is more than one person in the store. Why this is I don't understand. Once I was in line for a good five minutes some young girl walked by who looked like employee and didn't bother to stop. I even saw her make a phone call on her cell phone. I love this place. They offer delicious, beautifully decorated cookies that are very reasonably priced. I like buying them as gifts or having them on hand at holidays. They always seem to be busy, have plenty of people behind the counter during their peak times, and offer a place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with dessert. They've kept their original 1940's - '60's decor, feeling as though you've stepped back into a simpler place and time. read more

We were in town to visit other family members who are local to the area, so we stopped here to pick up some treats to bring along with us on our visit. Busken Bakery is a third-generation, locally owned business in Cincinnati that has been around for nearly 100 years. They have 4 locations listed on their website, with one of them being in Eastgate/Batavia. The selection here includes a variety of homemade breads, cookies, cakes, donuts, pies, and more. Various coffee and other drinks are also available to enjoy with your treats. This location specifically is in the Eastgate/Batavia area, at the intersection of Glen-Este Withamsville Road and Old State Route 74. The storefront is the right corner unit in a small strip mall-type complex called Glen-Este Village Centre. As someone who is not from the area and had never been here specifically, it is relatively easy to navigate to. Their branding is visible on the larger sign for the shopping center, which can be read from the road. Parking here was no issue There are two rows of parking spaces at the front of the shopping center. It was not at all crowded in the complex at the time of our visit, so we easily got a parking spot just steps from the bakery entrance. Our visit here was around 12:40 PM on a Saturday in September. I am assuming the crowd for this place comes in the morning time, given the type of business it is. There were no other customers in the store at the time of our visit. The bakery also has some aspects of a cafe. There are a few bar-height tables, four-top tables, and even a kids table available for patrons in the front of the store. It would be nice to grab some goodies, a nice drink, and hang out for a little bit in the space. They even had some different reading material available for free, too. We took some time to look around at all of the different items in the bakery before deciding what we wanted to order. They have a few bakery cases at the counter filled with different cookies, dipped treats, and other pastries that can be purchased individually or in various quantities. Behind the counter was a selection of donuts. The pre-made cakes sit to the left, and are displayed so it is easy for the customer to see. Throughout the store, there are different tables and displays with the breads, pies, pre-packaged cookies, and seasonal items. I loved the nods to the Cincinnati area all around the space, including the Bengals-themed cookies, the "Chew Dey" sign, and the variety of orange/black/white items to choose from. It was fun to look around at the different items and decorations the staff put together. On the left-hand side, there are a few different coolers with a variety of cold drinks. Also, there are coffee urns with self-serve hot coffee. Greeting cards, candles, and other retail items are in this space as well. The family we were going to visit has a few young children, so we chose to get a tub of the Original Iced Cookies that were pre-packaged. They were decorated as yellow smiley faces, and were a nice size for a child or for an adult as a little treat. We liked the taste of these, and they lasted for several days afterwards. The cookies in the case looked delicious but with the nut flavoring and our particular occasion that we were buying them for, we decided against them. I personally would have loved to try them, as they all looked and sounded so good! Overall, there was a healthy selection of items throughout the store. I thought they would have more variety in terms of cookies, as it seemed like there were only a few different kinds. Same sentiment for the breads. I am not sure if it was just because we were there later in the day, or if that is the way it always is. Maybe next time I will need to stop earlier to get the full experience in this regard. The staff were attentive and helpful. Since we were the only ones in the space, I think they were overly-attentive at points, but that is fine. I am more of a shop on my own-type of shopper, so not my favorite when employees are watching my every move. However, I understand they are simply doing their job and we essentially had their undivided attention. Glad that we found this local bakery to stop at during our trip to Cincinnati! Their products were good, the storefront was decorated and appealing, the staff were all friendly. I would love to return in the future to try more of their items, including these infamous donuts I have been reading about here in other people's reviews. Would recommend giving Busken Bakery a try if you find yourself in the area.
