    Pad see yew with chicken
    Kelly K.

I called in a to-go order for pad see ew. Smooth ordering, though it was a little confusing who was handling take out when I arrived, as I had to speak to 3 people before I got to the right place. Wasn't sure if they are more Japanese/sushi or thai, so it was a gamble, but I was generally pleased with my order. Soft noodles, the right amount of sauce, pretty tender chicken minus a couple not so great pieces that were a bit tough, and some fresh broccoli and carrots. The container felt like a 5 pound dumbbell when I held in my hand, and I discovered it was 2/3 noodles. Wish they evened out the ratio with some more veggies, but taste and quality were solid so I'll give 'em a pass. Prices were reasonable, though the parking lot is small, so you may need to park in a neighboring lot on a busy Saturday night.

    Dry sesame chicken

I used to love this place, but in the last year their food has gone down hill. Sushi is super loosely rolled, about half the pieces fell apart. I also recently got sesame chicken that had no (zero, zip, zilch, nada, none) sauce, it was just dry, salty fried chicken with some sesame seeds. Probably the last time I'll order from here.

Crab fried rice in the background, shrimp and vegetable tempura in the foreground. Hubby said they were both good.

We ate here while passing thru Casper last month after a long day of travel. Place was easy to find and there was enough parking spots at the side. I was hesitant about indoor dining but they had social distancing of tables. Food was excellent! Staff was very attentive.

Pumpkin Curry with brown rice and chicken! Excellent!

Such good curry- pumpkin curry is just decadent! You can also get brown rice and a meat or fish served with the curry.

I have never received a less than 5 star meal from here. Go in or order out the flavor and attention to detail is always there.

Great service. Garlic edamame have left me wanting more! Massaman curry was a bit bland. But otherwise great experience.

The restaurant was clearly busy and the hibachi side was absolutely packed. We asked for a booth because we didn't want to sit on the hibachi side with 400 kids yelling and running around and the huge crowd that came with them. That's completely fine, we just wanted a booth away from that instead. We were told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait, so we sat down. During that time, more people kept coming in and were being seated at what seemed like squeezed-in spots at the hibachi grills with all of these kids, but I specifically noticed that nobody was leaving the restaurant. Forty-two minutes later we were finally told our booth was ready. As we walked back, I immediately said to my friend, "Nobody has left, how would a booth magically become available after we've been waiting all this time?" Then we got to the booth section and every booth was empty except for one family in the back. So now I'm wondering why I just sat there for 40+ minutes. We sat down, ordered drinks, got them, and then were asked if we wanted appetizers. Once we started looking through them, she said, "Oh, by the way, if you want anything that has sushi, it's gonna be at least another 30 minutes because we don't have a sushi chef on staff right now." Sushi was the whole reason we went there. We looked at the menu and decided to leave. We put cash on the table for the drinks because she never came back. On the way out, we told the lady at the front we weren't going to wait another 30 to 45 minutes for simple sushi. Another customer waiting overheard us and asked what was going on. My friend told her they didn't have a sushi chef on staff and couldn't realistically provide 90% of the menu people were coming there for. Her response was simply, "Wow." I think the first thing customers walking in should hear is: "Hey, we currently don't have a sushi chef on staff, so unless you want to wait a really long time, we can't realistically provide sushi right now." We had already waited 42 minutes and then were being asked to wait another 30+ minutes minimum. Asking people to wait well over an hour for sushi is wild. I can't comment on the food because we never got that far.

FireRock Steakhouse is what happens when someone decides an Applebee's should have a dress code…read more The first thing that hits you isn't the aroma of a great steak. It's the overwhelming feeling that the place hasn't been thoroughly cleaned since the Clinton administration. Sticky menus. Damp surfaces. Carpet that looked like it had survived several decades of spilled ranch dressing and broken dreams. It had all the charm of a roadside motel lounge that rents rooms by the hour. The restaurant clearly wants to project "upscale steakhouse," but the execution is baffling. Our steak salad arrived "elevated" with what appeared to be an industrial-sized handful of Craisins. Craisins. Nothing says fine dining quite like turning your salad into trail mix. We also mentioned a nut allergy. To their credit, someone clearly attempted to remove the pecans from the salad. Unfortunately, it was less "nut-free" and more "pecan hide-and-seek." There were still stray pecans lurking in the greens. Food allergies aren't a scavenger hunt. We decided to splurge on the most expensive bottle of wine on the menu, hoping it would redeem the evening. It was a screw-top bottle, presented without ceremony, tasting, or any of the small touches you'd expect when ordering a premium bottle. If you're charging premium prices, at least pretend you care. Service somehow managed to outdo the décor. We waited an eternity to be seated. Our salads arrived long before anyone remembered to bring silverware, leaving us to stare at them while they slowly wilted. Then came another seemingly endless wait before our entrées finally appeared, roughly two hours after we arrived. The timing of the food somehow made the experience even more confusing. Two of us ordered steaks, which naturally take time to prepare. Another person ordered pasta, a dish that should have flown out of the kitchen long before the steaks. Instead, it arrived looking like it had spent the previous 24 hours under a heat lamp, exhausted, dehydrated, and wondering where its life had gone wrong. When the "quick" dish looks like the oldest item on the table, something has gone terribly off the rails. The entire experience felt like a restaurant desperately trying to cosplay as fine dining while forgetting that cleanliness, competent service, food safety, and basic attention to detail are the actual ingredients. FireRock charges steakhouse prices but delivers stale-chain-restaurant execution wrapped in sticky menus and questionable carpeting. Save your money. Buy a steak, a screw-top bottle of wine from the grocery store, throw a fistful of Craisins on a salad, and let a bowl of pasta sit in your oven for a few hours. You'll have essentially recreated the FireRock experience, except your house is probably cleaner.
