Given the heat and humidity, this indoor activity was just what we needed. We bought the "Try Archery" session which is one hour with an instructor who taught us the basic steps of shooting, how to shoot safely with the other people in an archery range and it includes everything that's needed like arrows, a bow, arm guard, and finger guard. There were 4 other people who signed up, making a total of 6 people in our group. Despite the range being spacious, the targets set up for our group initially appeared quite close together and made me worried a little about possibly colliding into the person next to me. However, everything turned out fine and the spacing between the targets weren't as bad as I thought. Our instructor, Kina, was awesome!! She was soo welcoming and friendly! She's very approachable and totally made the experience both fun and chill at the same time. I really appreciated that she gave us extra time to practice shooting after the session was over. Amazing place to go to if you've been watching too much Lord of the Rings and wanted to see if you're Legolas incarnated. $50 for a 2 hour instructed session and individual practice is a steal, especially with equipment provided. X10 Archery hits the target for fun! It's no frills inside. Outdoorsy, reminded me of a supply store. You sign a waiver and when your group is ready, you're off to the range! A few quick notes: It gets pretty hot on the range. The staff warned us of this in advance and it was definitely true. It's bearable tho. Not at all miserably hot but you will sweat. They offer coffee and water but no other food or drinks. They are fine with you bringing in snacks. There's even a convenient store next door where you can buy things to bring in. No alcohol tho. It's a family friendly establishment. Close toe shoes only and no heels. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Having 10+ years experience, Russ did an excellent job teaching us the ins and outs of using the recurve barebow and all the basics for posture, holding, shooting, removing the arrows from the boards and helpful tips like "nose-knows". Learning from Russ was like learning from a knowledgeable close friend, he was friendly, patient, kind and funny and his energy matched our crew perfectly. X10 Archery is a fun and healthy way to pass time and if you want to attend often or perhaps perfect the craft, they have reasonably priced membership options where you can come in and practice on your own. They also teach according to the World Archery Federation standards, the world's governing body of archery, same as used by the Olympics. read more

First time here at this archery range. I called ahead to see if there was any availability since this was a last minute decision to play archery. Someone picked up and was even able to tell me how many slots were available at 3pm. We did a walk in and was taught safety and how to shoot. We got really lucky since it was a quiet Saturday. While we were there, we got to interact with Kat, who's super fun, nice, and knowledgeable. Learnt quite a number of things while interacting with her as well listening on the side. What an AMAZING experience here! Everyone is so professional and knowledgeable. Our instructor, Hannah, was incredible. She has been practicing archery since the age of 3. How lucky we are to have learned from her. She has an excellent teaching style where she allows the student to relax and learn at their own pace. Prices are reg, but treatment is bad. A male worker with a pony tail was aggressive approaching and rude. My teenager daughter and i were using the lanes, my daughter with an arrow on her hand, not even on the bow, turned back and reached for her arm protector. This guy approached very aggressively and told her what she was doing wrong, then he ended "do it right or you better leave". My daughter and i are very educated and respectful. We just stay quiet and followed his commands. But my family, friends and i will not comeback to X10. Sorry, the previous owner had better control. read more

Congratulations to Lynda on acquiring this business. I took my daughter yesterday for her 1st archery practice. Lynda and staff were very courteous to explain the best arrows to use with the different weight bows we have. Also allowed my daughter to use a lighter bow more fit for her beginner level. The place was recently purchased by Lynda and her husband Bud. They are still working on adding more inventory to their showroom. The range is very nice and well setup. It was crowded yesterday (Sunday) afternoon from bigness to more seasoned archers. Lynda also offers private and group lessons. Call in advance to reserve. Cost per Hour is $12 per adult. If your bow needs a string or repairs, Lynda can arrange to get that ordered for you. They also offer consignment service to sell your "no longer needed" Archery equipment. I went for a company event and had an awesome time. What was especially fun is that everyone had a bow the entire time so there wasn't any sitting around and waiting for your turn like when we went axe throwing. Great service. I walked in with a group of 6(?) or more group of friends. Apparently, you're supposed to call ahead if you want to come in with a big group. Despite the protocol, they didn't turn us away and accommodated us. We had to take turns since there weren't enough space, but none of us are Archery Professionals and had no problem with sharing bows/arrows/lanes/etc. Teachers(?) were nice and helpful. I had to use the kid one cause I sucked but that's my fault haha. Area is a little sketch and parking is a bit hard if you go when it's crowded, but otherwise, had a good time! read more

I booked and paid for archery lessons through PayPal. When I got there my instructor a young Asian guys says to me, " I'm not comfortable teaching you, because I'm a level two instructor who's unfamiliar with the kind of bow that you have." Cmon, I drove 30 minutes to get there to find this out, and then he hands me over to someone else who I've emailed 3 times asking when is my new lesson.
