They bring a different feel and different flavor to the outing. From the " napkin purse" ( awesome touch of creativity) to the tall unique glass of lemonade. And at Yardkoo you won't get your boil in a bag ( unless it's to-go ) They bring everything out on a stylish tray put together more like an art exhibit, then your meal for the evening. FYI: I ordered a half dozen of raw oysters to jump start things, and they were absolutely on point and super fresh from all angles ( a must have ) And once I actually dove into my meal, I was 100% sold that my loyalty was theirs for the foreseeable future. The environment is bubbly but not loud. The service is friendly and very attentive on all levels. The young woman ( Q ) did an outstanding job of helping me navigate the menu, sauce level, and to-go orders. She had the perfect attitude ( professional with a smile ) and she had an answer for every question I threw her way !!!! ( Shoutout to the bartender also ! ) Trust me when I say Yardkoo is etched on Mount Rushmore when it comes to seafood boil royalty !!!!

There is plenty of shared parking in the other businesses in the area. This was a little different because they bring the meal out on a hot skillet that had a burning sterno under it, so be careful. I did learn the hard way when I touched it. The food was good. I had the small boil that comes with half a pound of crab legs, half a pound of headless shrimp, half a pound of sausage, potatoes, and corn. You can choose your flavor and level of spice. I went with garlic butter medium spicy. More than enough to fill me up with a little leftover. Service was good as well. A very festive atmosphere inside. A few people had birthday celebrations this night and they played a club music birthday song.

The hostess who answered was friendly and took my order without issue over the phone. Prices on the online menu were outdated - my total was about $10 higher than what was listed online. No problem. The food was ready in about 15 mins. For $110, we got 2 lobster tails, 2 clusters of snow crab, and 2 lbs of headless shrimp, plus corn and potatoes. Potatoes were kinda large, would have preferred smaller ones, but they were cooked through. Only got 2 pieces of corn, but was well cooked. Shrimp and crab were good - lobster was overcooked and stringy. The sauce was lacking in flavor - and we got the hook and reel blend - we did get it mild, but I still expected the sauce to have flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad, but there are better places to get seafood boils from!

The seasoning at this spot is elite. Honestly, it holds its own against Hot and Juicy Crawfish, which has always been my top seafood spot. Everything about this experience was a 10 out of 10, especially the service. Our bartender Kenny also happened to be our server, and he did a phenomenal job. Even while bartending, he still made sure we were taken care of. On top of that, three or four other servers checked in on us throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. I really appreciated the teamwork and how focused everyone was on making sure we had a great experience. We started with the Passionfruit Sunrise, which Kenny recommended, and it was so good we ended up ordering three. My boyfriend had the Voodoo Lemonade and really enjoyed that too. For appetizers, we got the breadsticks, mozzarella sticks, and oysters. The oysters were a definite highlight . It was flavorful, steamed just right, and covered in all the sauces. If you're an oyster fan, you won't be disappointed. The chicken sandwich was also really good. The lobster bisque was just OK. I ordered a crab boil and added noodles, sausage, and eggs with the Hook & Reel seasoning blend. Everything was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. I honestly can't wait to come back, but I'd only return to this location. They hit every mark: food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend.

Parking is not priblematic. There is an option to dine in or go to their carryout section. I chose carryout. I looked over the menu after entering the carryout entrance. Beer/wine etc was available on this side. I purchased the cheesesteak eggrolls. They were a bit pricey. I got home to taste the hype. I was saddly disappointed. They were a little overcooked and greasy. The taste of a cheesesteak was there but it was not to die for. For the price of $16+ tax and it was 2 small eggrolls I will not consider this again. For me I was not thrilled and to others it is all in your preference. I probably will not return as the customer service was not there for a carryout section as well. Not a good bang for my buck.

I love how sweet and attentive the bartenders were. The gentleman that made my drink, an Italian margarita, was so sweet and can make one hell of a drink! He also checked in after making it to make sure I liked it. The ambiance was very chill. It seems like during the day families can dine and into the evening more of a mature crowd. I'm sure this is a place that has potential and can get very busy. With the customer service I experienced I'm sure this business has some longevity. There are lots of TVs and a big screen projector to catch the games. They had the NFL Playoffs on while I was there. The menu is extensive. There is a variety of food selections from salads, burgers, crab cakes etc. And then the typical bar food like mozzarella sticks, fried shrimp, wings etc. Due to being really into some heavy catching up with my friend I didn't get to snap any photos but I'll return again soon!

That changed quickly--I've been here twice in one week just for the ribs. After leaving my new part-time gig and looking for dinner, I stumbled upon this location, and I'm glad I did. Parking was easy, and the décor immediately stood out. As a true Washingtonian who grew up going to the DC locations, I can honestly say this one is my favorite so far. I was greeted right away by Danni, who recommended the ribs, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. Mr. Robinson also suggested the (pricey) potato salad and confidently stood behind it--he was right, no regrets there either. My only real gripe is the automatic assumption that I want to pay $1 for a reusable bag. I'd prefer to be asked and told the price instead of it being added automatically. Overall, great food, great service, and definitely worth the drive. I'll be back--clearly.

One of my favorite memories is sitting by the fireplace and enjoying a cozy meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it just as enjoyable to dine in as it is to take your food home. Zero Proof Night…read more Sunday 8:01 Appetizer : Watermelon Salad Entree: Stanford Burger Side : Sautéed Spinach, French Fries Zero Proof Drinks : Pom & Circumstance Half Moon My zero proof night was underwhelming. This bar does not give any presentation or flair to their non alcoholic beverages. Pom and Circumstance was zesty and sweet . The Half Moon drink was nothing more than grapefruit juice with a cherry . I was expecting more presentation since it's literally a tonic. I would like to mention that the bar was slammed with guests and the tables were not getting their drinks on time. So, maybe it was a slippery Sunday night for the bar and my zero proof drinks lacked in pizazz. The watermelon salad was a wild card choice as Glenwoods does not have much fresh fruit on the menu. I wish it was not so chunky ... chunks of watermelon and tomato covered in a balsamic sauce and feta cheese. This salad pairs nicely with the arugula. The sides were hot and came out expeditiously. The burger was undercooked and the server offered to re-Fire a new burger. 5 out 10 night .
