The only thing that is lacking is short term memory loss and that is challenging me when talking about mechanical issues regarding my Fiat 500L Trekking model. This is a 2014. My only main concern is driving to Plano because I am currently fighting dehydration and a sinus infection. At 1700 I had to call and ask for a status. Yesterday (Tuesday) said it would be ready around 1000 today (Wednesday). It is 1330 now and no call. I am concerned with how well I can trust this place now. Now I'm worried about how well the work is. I thought by going to a local mechanic shop, I could get my vehicles serviced and out the door for less hassle and less cost than what the dealership would involve. Boy was I wrong. My last two visits are what finally made me decide not to return. First, they charged me over $200 for an oil change on my Audi and then tried to upsell additional services based solely on mileage. After the shock of the oil change price, I declined and called Audi McKinney, who confirmed those extra services weren't even needed at this time and that I overpaid for the oil change from Provision. My most recent visit, was for my F‑250. Provision inspected the truck and told me the cab bushings needed to be replaced due to deterioration, quoting $2,600 for the job about a year ago. I knew I'd have to budget for that, so I called them last week to check whether pricing had changed. They told me the cost had gone up another $1,000, bringing the total to $3,600, and blamed the increase on tariffs. After that conversation, I took my truck to Bob Tomes Ford in Mckinney where I had the work done professionally using OEM parts and save nearly $1,200. Not only that, but the work was performed by a certified Ford mechanic and the work backed by the dealership. That sealed the deal for me. I'll be taking my vehicles elsewhere from now on.

Turns out it was the water pump, and it was throwing a code for the fan clutch, so he suggested I replace that as well - since it had to come off to get the new water pump in anyway. The new fan clutch was unbalanced and failed after driving for a day, ripping its own harness off, causing a short that prevented the vehicle from starting once I arrived home. I called and talked to Elite Performance, and they had my vehicle towed back in to repair it. They switched to another brand of fan clutch and replaced it at no charge. Stand-up guys! I will be taking it back to get the engine tuned soon.
