On our way to the nearby Tuachan Theater. Yelp reviews very positive. Now I can add mine! The Cafe is located in the Kayenta Art Village, near Ivins and St. George. It took a bit of doing to find the Cafe, but it was well worth it. Outdoor seating is available, but on this 105° day we opted for indoors. We were seated near windows that had cactus and other desert plants at eye level. We split everything, which our excellent server Victoria was happy to do. We started with the Royden Lemonade, which has hints of coconut, vanilla and fresh mint. Greatly appreciated on this hot day! Best lemonade I've ever had! Our main course was the Xetava Burger. This is a "1/2 lb grass fed patty, melted dill havarti, house slaw and avo mash on a potato roll, with matchstick fries". The burger was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious! The potato roll was soft and warm! For dessert we had the Bread Pudding. This is described as a "Xetava classic - warm croissant bread pudding with homemade caramel sauce and whipped cream". You read that right, croissant bread! What a treat! The meal was well paced by Victoria which helped us get to our event on time. We will be back! read more

You've been good to us until you weren't! Last night we showed up asking for a table and you told us that we needed reservations. Didn't matter that we are regulars, didn't matter that my wife is in a wheelchair! Some of the waitresses that know us well didn't even try to persuade the hostess for an exception! There were plenty empty tables but we were given a two and a half hour wait. The most confusing part is that couple of months back we called for a reservation but we were told that you don't take reservations. Last night you clarified that only after 4pm. I checked your website and there is no mention of your reservation policy. Reply to the owner's lie: That is a lie that I was offered outside seating! I would have taken it right away. Looking back at some of Greg replies this is not the first time he is blatantly lying about what his employees have done. Also, the last three times we were there, at about 4 pm, a waitress was swiping the place with a broom while patrons were eating! I am pretty sure that is a code violation! read more

Out of all the food spots I tried out for the weekend in Southern Utah, this place was my favorite! First, it's away from St George and nestled in a community that blends perfectly into the desert landscape. The ambiance and the interior of the restaurant matches perfectly to its surroundings. With a group of friends we ordered an array of drinks and breakfast items which were all delicious. My order was the orange juice mixed with a mango purée smoothie which was on point Not too sweet and a perfect balance of both fruits. For food, I got the breakfast bagel with grapes. The bagel was an everything bagel and the best part was the crispy and hardy bacon layer in there! It was perfectly portioned so it didn't end up a mess like most bagel sandwiches do. And just to make sure they're pastry items were on point, I grabbed a turtle and Oreo sandwich cookie to go, and let me tell you, those were delicious . Yes, I will be returning. read more

Great atmosphere. We sat outside under one of the trees. Service was great. The servers were attentive. I wanted the bigger but my server wouldn't let me order it. I wanted it cooked medium well and they will only cook it medium. Medium is too pink for my taste. I got the beef shawarma salad. It's not shawarma at all. It's slices of beef that's a little over fried. The dressing was too thick and heavy. It had too way too much cheese, about a 1/4 of an avacado and three thick slices of English cucumber over a bed of lettuce. I could have done with less cheese and maybe some tomatoes, black olives and maybe some chopped scallions. My wife has the salmon tacos. She enjoyed them. Again she complained of too much dressing. She liked the rice and the salmon For desert we shared a cookie and had some coffee. I didn't like either. The coffee was bitter. What a great find west of St George. We came for lunch after a hike in Snow Canyon and we were so delighted to find this beautiful but comfortable cafe. Our waitress Lily, was a delight, who steered us to the special which was a yummy pork tenderloin quesadilla. The view was breathtaking from inside but there is also a beautiful patio area. After your meal make sure you visit the art galleries and wander the outside areas filled with native plants and metal wind sculptures. read more

We loved the coconut curried, quinoa fish dish. It had brussel sprouts that were crunchy and delicious. when i asked how they prepared them, the waitress said that they flash fry the brussel sprouts, which explained the delicious crunchiness. Aldo had their chili chocolate with whipped cream and blueberries. Probably a dessert i will remember the most! This was a chocolate mouse with a kick of chili and the whipped cream helped it mellow down. The ambience was beautiful, nice and relaxed. One thing we did not appreciate was being seated by the vent and we asked for our seats to be changed. Service was great and I found the price to be a bit high for how much we got. Came to the Ivins/St. George area to visit my best friend who just started at the new medical school there, and this place was a must-stop both days I was visiting! I had the chicken wrap and she had the pork quesadilla- both were DELICIOUS. The next morning I went for breakfast at 9am (right when they open) and they accommodated me immediately. I have now eaten dinner here and repeated my breakfast trips. Dinner is really good. I had the burger which is as good as any I've had, and everything else on the table was delish. The Hummus is home made and lovely, as is the mushroom caviar, a sort of mushroom spread of sorts. Its amazing. The steaks looked yummy as did the fish taco's that happened to be on the menu as specials. Dinner was accompanied by several bottles of good wine, a primitivo, a pinot noir and something else all of which were affordable and very tasty. We are from LA and were looking for a great place to have her birthday dinner. Little did she know, but I proposed that morning. We kept our reservation and Xetava Gardens for our first dinner as an engaged couple. MAN, we could not have picked a better place. We sat outside in the evening heat. As the sun set we listened to a solo guitarist strum away. Our appetizer of fried avocado salad was amazing. It was light and soothing as the dessert heat dissipated. Our entres did not disappoint. My fiance ordered a burger that was amazing. It had blue cheese, grilled onions and was on a ciabatta bread. I ordered the Mahi Mahi special with curried cous cous. Both were mouthwateringly good. If you find yourself in St. George, Irvin, or in the area, you MUST make a stop here. We went back 4 times, once just to get coffee and each time were shocked with how good the food is and how unbelievably nice the staff is. GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! read more

I have eaten here multiple times and always been very happy with their menu and food selection. Typically this is a 4-5 star review Unfortunately, this was not the case today and when notified the manager really didn't take what I would say was the appropriate action when given the opportunity. What went well: At 5pm we were the only patrons eating so we had table selection. We were a party of 4 and ordered 4 beet salads which was always a favorite and again did not disappoint. The waitress although new was nice but needed some small coaching see below which I gave to the manager. What went wrong: The salads were delivered quickly (good) and within 2 minutes the mains were delivered (not good). Pretty common to either ask if ok to serve together or an experienced Wait staff knows when to deliver main course. Frustrating but no big deal. The pork tenderloin was medium rare and although very tasty I don't want pink pork nor does anyone else I know. The Cajun Gyro had shrimp that were no where near cooked and hidden inside the Gyro bread which was unfortunately found by taste. The manager did ask if we wanted a new Gyro after consuming raw shrimp within the sandwich and when declined there was no further action on his part other than an apology. He also informed me the pork tenderloin was normally cooked with a pink finish and called that "medium " and there was no offer of anything regarding pink pork consumption. My chief complaint is the manager should have taken the Gyro off the bill after he saw the uncooked shrimp and be open to his cook DID NOT do the right thing and as the only customers there was certainly no rush. Very disappointed this time with out of state family guests. Time will tell for another visit. read more

I'm sorry, I don't care how "organic" your food is, burnt is not a flavor, especially if it's your dinner special. At the very least, provide a knife that is designed to cut the incredibly tough chicken breast that you're charging $22 for instead of forcing me to tear at it with my teeth like some kind of cave man. The only redeeming quality about the kale chips is the fact that they aren't as inedible as you expect kale to be. This sensation is short lived as you quickly realize that just because it isn't as bad as it could be doesn't make it good by any stretch of the imagination. If I had to guess, the bar is the best feature of this place because you'd have to be drunk to enjoy the food. At least the food here won't be in your system for long because of the Taco Bell-esque food poisoning that ensues following your dining experience. ps, a little bleu cheese goes a long way read more

Every time I'm in Saint George I make it a point to go here. This place is so cool. It's in a beautiful spot, the service is good, the people are friendly and the food is so fresh. They have my all time favorite sandwich. It's the vegetarian sandwich. I've had all the sandwiches that have meat in them but none of those compare to their vegetarian . Everyone who I have taken with me usually doesn't like the thought of a vegetarian so they get meat and then I give them a bite of mine and they wish they got what I did. So just trust me and try it. Kale chips are good. I've been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and all were fantastic! I will admit that ye blue algae waffle is a little too unique for my taste. Cafe is located in a small art and crafts village or center so after eating one can enjoy a stroll through the shops. I ordered the Xetava burger for lunch. It came on a ciabatta bun and was cooked medium with some pink but with a warm center. Burger was served with matchstick fries which I love because their thinness automatically results in crunchy fries which are my favorite. Also ordered the bread pudding dessert which was heavenly.
