Great venue for concerts but 2 complaints. This venue makes you take off your belt before going through metal detectors. 1st time, out of countless concert venues, I've had to do this. Not thrilled. 2nd complaint, Rideshare drop-off is all the way out back. They make you walk the whole lot. Came to see Motley Crue, Tesla, and Extreme here and, all told, it was a better experience than I was expecting. Got off to a rocky start when we were trying to get to the Blue Lot and we were basically swept in by the traffic organizers at the entrance to the venue into the Red Lot/VIP section, which is a hellhole of a maze that required driving back to the exit and crossing the street. (Btw, I would highly recommend splurging for the Blue Lot if you do not want to wait hours to leave after the concert. The Blue Lot spits you directly back out onto the main road. You can always pack a snack, book, movie/games if you don't mind waiting to get out.) After parking, you go through security (double check the bag policy, they're not shy about turning people away to drop stuff off in their cars) and then you're in an area with food trucks, lots of alcohol options, and vastly overpriced food. Whoever in the reviews said that it seemed like they were sourcing the ingredients to a remote island got the nail on the head. The options are to eat ahead/tailgate or fork over an arm and a leg for some mediocre, deep-fried fast food. I got two chicken tender snack wraps (which were basically one under-seasoned chicken tender and a handful of shredded cheddar, wrapped in a plain tortilla). My husband's burger was the much better option. $60 for food and two waters, and I was still kind of hungry. Restrooms were relatively clean, though a bit of a trek from the concert area. We had some amazing seats, with great views of the stage but I do wish there was just a little more of an incline between rows. Appreciated the large screens they had set up to each side whenever someone extremely tall stood up in front. There were plenty of security stationed around to check tickets and keep an eye on things. At one point, there were two extremely drunk and obnoxious women behind us (knocking into me with their dancing, reaching over with their arms to clap) who had taken over a family's seats. They took a while to move and I don't think security needed to be called but it was nice to have that as an option. We left earlier to beat the traffic and it was the best option. read more

The XFINITY Center is a great place to see a show. Tucked away in the woods, it feels like you've left the real world behind for a few hours. There's something about being surrounded by trees instead of concrete that makes the whole experience feel a little more intimate, even when you're sitting with thousands of other people. The sound was fantastic, the views were great from just about anywhere, and the tickets didn't require selling a kidney. Food and drinks, however, are priced as if they're sourcing ingredients from a remote island accessible only by helicopter. I finally got to see Jack Johnson after waiting about 25 years, and somehow the show still exceeded expectations. Absolutely worth it. The staff was friendly, helpful, and the venue itself was easy to navigate. The parking situation, on the other hand, felt less like event planning and more like a social experiment. I arrived early, parked in the first open lot, and thought I was being smart. Turns out I was just getting a front-row seat to one of the least organized traffic exits in Massachusetts. When the concert ended, thousands of cars attempted to leave at once while seemingly nobody directed traffic. The official strategy appeared to be crossing fingers and hoping for the best. I'm fairly certain I spent more time leaving the parking lot than Jack Johnson spent on stage. Still, for one of the best concerts I've ever seen, it's hard to stay mad. Went for a concert and had a fantastic time. This was my first time going there for an event and I wasn't sure how the set up was gonna be. Section 200 and below are covered, section 300 are outside with seats, and on top they had the lawn seats. They also have large monitors as well for better viewing. They offer plenty of food and beverages, and the restrooms were pretty decent. Overall had the best time. read more

I have been going to Xfinity (Great Woods) for almost three decades, and have been treated respectfully by staff, until last night. At security I have to get a medical tag for my Type 1 Diabetes supplies. The lovely women was doing that when her supervisor (unfriendly, woman in her 60's) came over and questioned if water bottle was sealed, as well as why I was getting a medical tag. I also have a broken foot and was wearing a boot. Just because I'm not in a wheelchair or "look disabled" doesn't mean anything. Get educated or get fired. read more

I have to carry a bag with an inhaler and an EpiPen. I always look ahead to check the bag requirements, so I brought my small bag only to be stopped by a rude woman who said "I know you don't plan on going in with that bag, because it's too big. You're going to have to check it in or walk back to your car." I tried to explain that I had medication and it wasn't too big but she wasn't having it. I went to check in my bag, which cost $10, only to be given a clear bag that was slightly bigger than the bag I had. (Pictured) When I questioned it with the people at the bag check in counter, the girl laughed in my face & said my bag wasn't getting inside the center. I was frustrated at this point and was looking for the fast lane check in, so I stopped and asked another worker where it was, they pointed and said "Over there, so hurry up!" I was completely floored by the rude service, the only saving grace was the Sam Adam's Club. It's worth paying extra to get good & kind service. They have private air conditioned restrooms, couches, and they will hold your merch until the end of the show. I paid extra for premium parking, and it still took over 40 minutes to leave....very disorganized. Thank goodness the show was great! read more

I've been to many many shows here and it used to be a great time! Reasonable ticket prices reasonable concessions. No more. The ticket prices have gone crazy with every other venue but concessions are INSANE. We took my mom to Rod Stuart this past weekend. One round of drinks (3) and a water for my mom $95 before tip and they expect a tip. The merch stand tries to automatically add 18% tip on a $40 tshirt or $75 sweatshirt. Umm no. It's just not worth it anymore. Don't even get me started on the parking! I didn't pay for parking because we have a handicap placard. I got 7 separate emails reminding me to pay $100 for the red lot to get out early. Are you out of your freaking mind???? I love this venue and have been coming here since it was called Great Woods. I like that it's small, so there's not a bad seat in the house - regardless of whether or not you have lawn seats or vip seating. If you arrive as the gates open, the venue is very easy to navigate, with lots of parking attendants directing traffic and security team members handling entry into the venue. They even have a shack between the parking lot and the check in line where you can check to see if your bag and personal belongings will be allowed into the venue, which is a time saver if you have to run back to your car to put things away. If you arrive after the gates open, parking can be tricky if you are trying to use the free parking lots because they fill up fast. If you know that you'll be arriving later if may be worthwhile to pay for VIP parking or having someone drop you off. The food and beverage options are plentiful but pricy, expect to pay premium pricing for everything. Many people opt to arrive as the gates open and tailgate before heading into the venue to ensure they get a good parking spot and can eat/drink ahead of time. This place was built over 40 years ago. The facility is totally outdated and not user friendly. Want to use the rest room? You have to leave the amphitheater completely and walk out towards the main gate. What a joke. I haven't seen a washroom sink like the ones they have there since I worked at Brown & Sharpe in 1980-81. If you're in a group of say 4 people. That means you have to take the phone of whoever purchased the tickets. No cash taken anywhere. And you cannot get a printed receipt. Email only.... $10 for a pretzel ! Unbelievable ! We have been to many venues both locally and in many other states. This place along with the AMP in Providence RI are the worst two places we have ever been too ! read more

I really don't understand why it was necessary for us to sit in our car for 2 hours after the concert. The venue is wonderful, the parking situation is not. Any show I've seen here has been super well done. The location is safe, staff is wonderful, shows are seamless. The prices on the food and drink are very high, but that's typical for a venue like this. My main issue is the parking. They have to figure out a better way to get people at least moving in under a hour. No matter what lot I end up in, it's always 90-120 minute wait. Other than that, it's a nice venue and a great spot to see a show. Just be prepared to wait a long ass time to get home afterwards. read more

Been hitting up shows here consistently since around 1992. Great sound, especially on the pavilion. I really try to get covered pav seats, especially for mid summer shows; it's definitely worth the extra effort/money to get better sound and not get hit by lightning. The lawn area has giant screens so you can feel like you're a part of the show. They added seats to the lawn (and thereby shrunk the grass area) a while back which has actually become helpful as I age and need to rest my legs. There is also still some real grass up at the top of the lawn. If it gets wet it's pretty steep up there and you can easily look like Bambi on the ice and ruin your Gucci clothing while dancing to Adam Levine. The real kiss of death here is trying to gtfo. The combination of half-drunk people and only a few lanes at the exit leads to massive waits. They try and remedy it by selling you VIP parking so you can hurry home to your fancy sleep number bed and sleep off the $18 beers but the last time I did this, 2 barely pubescent teens sent me out some weird exit and I ended up having to go 7 miles out of the way to get to 495. It was still better than inhaling exhaust fumes for 3 hours but it still got me heated after paying $75 just to park. Enjoy the show! read more

Came back for another show and tried the free parking again, this time was awful. We should have arrived right on time but It took us a full hour to move the last two miles and if it weren't for the opener, would have missed a huge chunk of the concert. We ended up in a lot in the way back, the row behind me was so close it took a lot of maneuvering to get out of my spot, and even though we left early with the band having 3-4 songs left in their set, hit a little traffic getting out of the lot. I can't imagine how awful it would have been trying to get out after the show ended. They need to coordinate some public transportation to this venue or set up shuttle buses to an outside lot to offload the traffic because otherwise the traffic getting in and out wastes so much of your time. read more

This is a great venue for a concert. There is not many like it in New England. It holds 19000 seats but feels intimate. The seats are comfortable and parking is free for certain lots. We didn't have trouble getting into the arena or getting out. The beers are a bit pricey compared to other venues in the area. We had the tacos and they were delicious. Highly recommend any concert in this place just to experience it! read more

Xfinity center is the old great woods. I love all the outdoor space. This place has mostly covered seats but do have outdoor seats and grass area. The parking is easy and moves quickly. The food options are fair with the prices being high like every other concert venue. The place is in the need of several upgrades. The sound is not good. It's muffled as you can hear in the short videos. The ceiling tiles is coming apart. The last concert was under sold. The weather was not great and started to rain. They told the outdoor people to move down into the covered area without supervision and became chaotic. The problem was people were now in our seats. Expensive seats by the way. They refused to move. Had to get help. Their customer services moved us to new seats in a subpar seats. Became a mess and made the whole event enjoyable. Who ever is in charge should be moved to making hotdogs. read more

It's where you go in the summer season to see a show in the Providence to Boston region. Outdoor, open stadium. First few sections are covered but in inclement weather: THE SHOW MUST GO ON. Rain or shine. I have been rained on twice in the last year at 2 different events. Great tailgating in the parking lot. Lots of toilets. Always someone working in there to direct toilet traffic and clean. But lets be honest- it's a mess because people are getting messy. I do appreciate their recent famous lyrics on the walls in the ladies room. Inside- they have recently stepped their game up taking on famous faces food. Recently had the Volt burger from the famous Voltaggio brothers. it was a burger from a concession stand that was premade but it did bring a little extra flavor. They also had Trejo tacos! Caught an amazing concert at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA -- the show itself was absolutely . The energy, the performance, everything about the concert made the price of admission worth it. That said, the rest of the experience felt less polished. The drinks were extremely expensive -- it's wild how a beer can ring in at around $18, and a mixed drink tops $24, turning a simple refreshment into a $25+ tab after tax and tip . Getting out afterward was the real headache. We waited nearly two hours for an Uber to arrive, stuck in the lot with thousands of others. Came to see Matchbox 20 and I love the vibe of this venue. It's outdoors so it's perfect on a cool summer night, and its really pretty from it being woodsy. Used to be known as Great Woods after all. It's also very accessible, as there are many ramps to make walking easier. Parking can be tough so come early. Lots opened at 3:30 pm but the actual venue only opened at 6:30 pm. So unless you bring food and are tailgating with friends, you're kind of stuck for a couple of hours in the hot sun until they open up the place. Only had one food truck in the parking lot, they should actually have more for people who aren't grilling. The parking lot is also very tight so getting in and out of your car is kind of annoying. Especially cuz everyone's grilling and such. They do have food/drinks inside but it's on the pricier side and again have to wait until 1-2 hours to get it. Your typical concert food, hot dogs, fries, chicken fingers, etc. $6 for a hot dog...$15 for chicken and fries. Also alcohol EVERYWHERE. It's a big venue but still small enough so you can see well, they also have screens and stuff so you can see wherever you sit. Getting out of the lot actually seemed more organized than Gillette and we didn't wait nearly as long, hour tops. I was in Gillette traffic for almost 3 hours...granted that was Taylor Swift. Also, read the bag guidelines on the website before you go. They only let clear bags in now or a small wristlet. If you forget a clear bag they sell them in the parking lot for like 8 bucks or something. Would definitely come back! read more

I'm giving a 3 star because after all these decades being a musical venue.. there aren't many improvements. The seats are small, it's never very clean, potty palace is .. awful. The parking. The parking. The parking. Can't you do something about that? It was almost 2 hours to get out of the lot and on the road. AND we stayed in our seats till almost every one was gone from our area to let them hopefully get a start on leaving the lot. Alcohol is EVERYWHERE so if your looking for a drink that won't be a problem. The prices are on the upper end of venues. A great amount of handicap accessible ramps are available. The surrounding scenery is woodsy and peaceful. It is a nice venue and would be much better if they just did some upgrades. It is cash only now so be prepared or know they have machines to turn cash into a card, not sure how that works so no review on that read more

The overall experience I had here was unbelievable. From the moment I pulled into the line for parking, the lot attendant was not properly signaling anyone and then hollered and cussed me out for not stopping, despite not signaling a stop. Later in the night, an older male security guard saw my group and myself standing on the lower part of the lawn fence and smacked our shoulders and shouted for us to get down. We had no idea that was not allowed, nor did we feel it appropriate to p it hands on us. Unbelievably horrible service. Additionally, it took well over an hour and a half to leave the parking lot. There is absolutely no traffic control save from three baboons holding glow sticks at the very end of the exit. I am so beyond dissatisfied and angry with my experience here. read more

Well that's probably why people are being carted out left and right from being drunk. I don't think it should be legal to sell waters at a concert for that much. They oversell the lawn at concerts so much that it's dangerous. We refuse to buy lawn tickets because of how disgusting it is. A bunch of underage kids getting sick. I've gone to so many concerts here and it's beyond out-of-the-way. I would rather drive to Gillette then go to this venue. It's absolutely filthy. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. They don't take cash, but they don't let people know. They don't take cash and you have to go get one of their special cards which if you fill it with cash doesn't even work half of the time I was just at a concert this weekend where I put $200 on maybe spent $75 and then couldn't get it to work after that try to go to guest services and they tell me to just go to my bank and the bank and handle it Make that makes sense! The parking attendance have no idea what they're doing who was supposed to be in special parking lot and no one could comprehend that we needed to be in a special parking lot. The only people that are nice there are the people that help with the meet and greet and then of course the performers crew. Other than that anyone who works at Xfinity center is completely miserable, rude, and extremely unprofessional. Standing in the pet people were throwing up and just standing there even though the so-called ushers and security didn't seem to care and said oh it's just fine if they're not passed out or causing chaos so it absolutely smelt God awful throughout the whole entire concert, no matter where you moved in the. Leaving is atrocious, they need to have actual police or traffic people to direct traffic, not 15-year-old kids that don't know what they're doing. I would 100% eat beforehand. Drove 28 minutes to this location to upgrade my phone. I've been a customer since 2012. I'm not the primary on the account, but I have NEVER run into an issue where I've been denied service. I upgrade my iPhone every year (sometimes earlier) and always go in person. Have never been to this location, will NEVER come back again! The woman was rude as anything, seems like she didn't want to be here by the look on her face, typing away on her phone and being downright ignorant. I arrived 2 minutes after they opened and it was already busy (I had made the appointment yesterday thank goodness). She downright said she wouldn't give me the phone BUT she could have it shipped to me? Very confusing .... And when I asked how long she sighed and mumbled two days. I explained my current iPhone is overheating in my bunkers at the station and it's dangerous. She gave 0 care. Don't eat fast food, which is all they offer. Extremely loud, so take ear protection and this place has major safety issues. There's only one means of egress (exit/entry), so you will sit for 1-2 hours waiting to leave the lot. If there's any type of issue that blocks their ONLY means of egress (accident, fire) then you will not be leaving for a very long time. After one hour we've only moved 15 feet, so park outside of this ineptitude in design and walk in. Final Thoughts: If there was any intelligent life involved in managing this place, they'd immediately be looking to create a second road and means of egress. Including, installing REAL bathrooms, because they certainly make enough income to do a far better job of it! read more

Great job directing people in and out of the venue. There were plenty of food and drink choices. Of course, the prices are high, but you can tailgate before entering into the venue. We had vip tickets with free snacks and drinks throughout the night. The band didn't do a meet and greet as they were scheduled. We sat in section 7 row F. Great seats, however, there might as well be no seats since the crowd stands up for the whole show. We were under a roof. It did get hot in there on a 75 degree August night. I did notice section 5 had a fantastic breeze coming from the ceiling fans...for future reference. The staff were helpful and do a great job throughout the night. read more
