I turned in a phone within the specified time frame to exchange for a different one and I thought everything was fine. Until A few months later, I get a notification from Xfinity that I'm being charged for a phone that I supposedly never turned in! I called Xfinity to let them know yes, the phone is turned in and the charge was reversed and that "they would look into it" so once again, I thought everything was OK and they straighten it out with the store because the charge disappeared. Until another month later, it reappeared again. So once again, I'm on the phone with Xfinity to dispute this and now they're saying there's nothing that they could do and that the phone was never picked up by their shipping carrier from the store. So basically, they told me that I am screwed. So what appears to be happening there is that employees are taking in phones that customers turn in and instead of scanning them for the carrier to return them to the warehouse they are stealing them. Which leaves the customers bearing the burden of financial responsibility for the stuff that the employees are stealing. Xfinity/Comcast or whatever you guys call yourself now,you guys really need to look into the store and conduct some serious investigations because your employees are stealing phones from there. The employee that "helped" me was an Asian lady who appeared to be in her mid-30s maybe early 40s. I didn't get her name because employees there don't wear name tags or at least they didn't at that time. Given the legal activity that appears to be conducted at this location, I could see why they would like to hide their identities. read more

As a few others commented...If there were zero or negative stars, I would give a negative 5 !!! There phone tree (customer service) is horrid and frustrating. In addition, I am all for diversity but, I expect to be able to understand the person I am communicating with. It is VERY obvious they are reading from a script and really have no clue what the process is ..other than what is on the script they are provided. They continue to tell you " let me assure you I will take care and solve your problem" Then if you ask /or they tell you they can't solve the problem and you get transferred to their "advanced" trouble shooting team, you have to go through the SAME EXACT PROCESS as you did with the first trouble shooting team. In addition, because I stupidly signed up for their Package deal and added phone service, my husband wanted the newer I-Phone which they mailed to him. Once received we were called to do the "porting process" from the current service to Comcast..thought everything went well,...until the following day when they disconnected my husbands new phone (same phone number as he always had) It took literally 42 minutes on the phone just to be told I needed to supply additional security information and the ONLY way to do that was to find and go to the nearest XFinity store. I could go ON AND ON about how they cancelled my appointment and never told me!!...30 minutes after my 2 HOUR window of arrival passed, I called them (15 minutes on the phone..) just to have them tell me "I NEVER MADE THE APPOINTMENT FOR THAT DAY, IT WAS THE FOLLOWING DAY" - even though I had 2 texts from them, one at the beginning of the day reminding me of my 2-4 appointment window and then again at 2:30 saying my tech was on his way .. ARGH worst experience EVER. The only good part was the person (can't remember her name) who helped me when I had to "supposedly" go to the actual store to verify security information. She was actually from the San Francisco office helping out the daily city office. Then the Technician who finally showed up at my home in Pacifica (the third and forth time) was absolutely WONDERFULL !! Go figure... I would be willing to bet that he was not one of the subcontractors that they sent the first couple times who could not do the job..but, probably an actual Comcast employee. read more

I switched carriers from Xfinity to Spectrum on June 6th,2023, and requested a transfer code to enable me to keep my old number. During my call to Spectrum to change over my service, Xfinity de-activated my old number which required me to obtain a new number from Spectrum. Xfinity then, without my knowledge, reactivated my old tel # and never contacted me that they had done this. Someone in my household then got a hold of my old phone and started playing games on that phone and used $90.00 worth of megabits. We called the company and after much explaining they supposedly removed the charges and deactivated the Tel # once again. Xfinity then charged my credit card the $90.00 which was disallowed by Visa. I then get an email from Xfinity claiming that my service has been discontinued on Aug 10th for an outstanding bill of $113.34. I then receive another email from Xfinity for billing from July 10th to Aug 9th for $118.34. This company has NO idea of what they are doing and I would think twice before using their service. read more

I can't believe this company stays in business!! Their call center representatives barely have any command of English. They are very poor listeners also!!! They charge senior citizens and penalize them for not trouble shooting their cable box. When I ask for assistance in switching out my broken box they won't do it without me paying $70!!! I told them I'm medically unable to plug and unplug the various wires but they said I need to pay for their technician to do it. Nasty, Nasty, Nasty employee... Now this review is based on a gentleman who works at this location and lives in "The Woods" complex and has a tattoo on his left arm. While I was waiting, he helped 2 separate Asian older gentleman whose main language was obviously not English. He talked down on them and told one of them he couldn't help call corporate for information and to get a son or nephew to do this with a Nasty tone of voice. He even snatched the bill from the customers hand. Totally understand there are things an employee can't do, but you really need to work on your attitude and the way you talk to people. As someone said earlier in this space, Comcast is pure evil. We had a 2-year contract with them to be charged $168 a month for cable TV, phone and Internet. We would get penalized if we broke this contract. HOWEVER, Comcast just raised our monthly rate to $176 per month. We called to inquire and were told "it's some fees that have gone up; your Comcast charge has not gone up. We can't help that the fees that are charged to us have increased." Uh, I know you can't help that, but what you CAN control is how much you charge to ME. When the costs that Comcast has to pay go up, you need to lower what you charge ME in order to compensate. That's what a contract means, that the price we pay will not go up for the duration of the contract. If I were to suddenly decide to pay $8 less per month and claim that my living expenses had gone up so I couldn't pay the full bill, Comcast would penalize me for that. If I were to cancel my Comcast service before the 2-year contract was up, Comcast would penalize me for that. Yet, if COMCAST changes things before the 2 years are up, there's no penalty to THEM. Comcast takes advantage of the monopoly they have on cable service in a given area. They take advantage of consumers, and they've been pulling shenanigans like this for many, many years. He stated that he could not give me listing or promos and that I would need to go online for that. I mentioned a promo, but after all the hidden fees it was $60 more than what promo stated...box fee, sport broadcasting fee, misc fee, taxes... I walked out. But soon, they slowly start jacking the price up, no matter if that price was agreed upon in the new contract, along with an agreement that the price would stay the same. I think it's been called "STEALING"!?!, but only If WE'RE doing it, but It's NOT applicable to "mega-corps"! This company seems to have devolved into nothing more than company sanctioned, or ordered, greedy azz thieves, liars & sneaks! Comcast, Xfinity, or whatever they're calling it now, the games we pay for never ends, (sigh). I checked out my current bill, and I see that it's been raised from the agreed upon price of $199.89, up to $258.70 in 2 yrs., for the same services we've always had. REALLY?!? The best part, and what prompted me to "YELP" about it, as I was online, they offered to put me through to "customer service". You quickly realize that it's NOT a "live person", or a real "Customer Service Rep.", but a computer bot, who prompts you with irrelevant questions! Santa here, Today was a bad day with Xfinity Mobile. I left them because Verizon had become a big ass with pricing and deal with people as it customer service was horrible. I am a resident of Nevada, but recently I am taking care of a relative that is going through very serious medical condition. I use to live in California. After moving our mobile service to Xfinity, I had planned on also adding a line that had 775 (a Nevada area code), but here is the rub. Xfinity will NOT issue me any phone number outside the 408 area code. This is because they can't but just simply they won't - why? I received no reason, but the typical double speak. A work around is that I could go to another provider and then transfer that number to Xfinity - again a grave inconvenience to me and horrible to their reputation. Well, I am not going to do that. I will just stay at the provider I pick in Nevada. Shame on Xfinity Mobile. Very disappointed with Xfinity provider. Was on the ACPProgram and completed my renewal as requested on 12/12/23 and approved. Contacted Xfinity 5 times to give acceptance info and was never re enrolled.. Contacted ACP to verify and was informed it was Xfinity responsibility to re enroll me upon my approval.. It was never done. ACP will no longer fund at end of April 2024 and yet Xfinity will not credit me.. Not good business practices.. While staying cool today watching an afternoon movie, my cable went out. Said I needed to activate this device..and you know I wasn't happy! I called and got the PHONE TREE..automated woman said she would restart my cable box and an agent could not help me for 10 minutes. I waited 20 and called back. Well guess what, I got a real live, nice human being. His name was Chris and he was extremely helpful. I had traded in a box in "April", yes April and they disconnected my current box, not the box I sent back! Of course, I was upset, but Chris took care of it in nothing flat. He also explained I have been a customer so long, I have a "rewards" program. I was surprised..he walked me thru it all and I realized I get a few channels I want for FREE! Yes Xfinity is giving me free channels. He also explained their cell phone program and I might leave Verizon and switch to Xfinity. I have a call with that department tomorrow. So all in all it was a great experience and Chris was a rock star! read more

Seriously, this month alone I've already have had 4 instances of internet outages. How am I suppose to work from home when I have no internet? When you try to call to get an ETA, the automated person says, "please keep in mind, an agent won't able to help you resolve this." So I have no ETA and no internet, what do I tell my boss? Xfinity advertised that they're here to help us with the pandemic to make life easier. This is not easier. Update: today is 3/28/2021. Internet is down again because someone is doing maintenance. I have recently moved 5 miles away from my previous address. I had a very good rate as I grandfathered it. They promised me to carry the existing package to my new address. But the bill showed 3 times more the rate. After hours and hours and days speaking to so many representatives, i finally gave up since I was exhausted. Today, I logged in to my account to see if I could reduce the rates by reducing my internet speed and tv channels. While the individual rates looked less, after confirming my selections, the total balance showed $20 more! It didn't make any sense to me. The virtual person couldn't help me and asked me to call the xfinity, which I did. She also didn't know why this happened. I asked her to undo my selection so I could get the previous rate, and she said she couldn't. Now, I'm waiting for a supervisor to contact me within the next 24 hours. Also, 5 days ago, I noticed that I was being charged twice monthly. I called and found out that they were charging me for a mobile line that I never had. They, without my authorization, have charged me and took the money from my account automatically on a monthly basis. Please check your bank accounts for unauthorized charges from xfinity/Comcast as this calls for a class action lawsuit! I'm still waiting for the charges to be returned to my account. read more

Customer service here is horrible. You go into this place hoping someone can help you out, but every single one of them play some sort of 'Hot Potato' game. If one person can't help you, they'll have you call, when you call, they'll say it's best to go into a nearby store. I went into this store trying to understand why my cable and internet wasn't working. Was being helped by a very rude person who simply wanted me gone, she gave me an excuse saying that I needed to call. When I called I let them know I was told in the store to call for assistance. I've been here for over an hour trying to switch the cable box that they had given to me incorrectly when I came in a month ago. We had received a letter a few months ago informing us we would need to upgrade the equipment if we wanted to continue using the International Channels effective February 25th. Yesterday I was told by my grandma that her channel wasn't working and it needed updated equipment. So I called Xfinity this morning and they said that I had gotten the regular box and I'll need the new X1 cable box. Not sure how this even happened because when I was here the first time, I specifically asked the guy I was working with (Theo) if it was the updated equipment needed and I even showed him the letter. He confirmed that it was what I needed. I didn't want to have to go in last minute to get new equipment because I knew that it'd be super busy with procrastinators and/or people who don't pay attention to their mail and would only go in once their equipment stopped working and yet here I am. I have to take time out of my busy schedule to fix something that should've been taken care of the first time if they had properly trained their staff. read more

If there was anything less than a one star they would get it. For the last 5 weeks we have had the WORST experience you can imagine. Prior to losing our landline (2 LINES) service we were experiencing a lot of static and dropped calls. We replace the batteries in our phones. ($20)-then we replaced the entire phone system ($200) We lost all landline service for our two telephone numbers for 10 days. Anyone calling us got a message. After over 1 week of calling and attempting to navigate through their impossible phone tree AI customer service whose main purpose appears to be keeping you from talking to a human being, we reached a human being who said that a service person would be sent out. A contract repair man, not a regular Comcast employee, with a Florida license plate was sent out. He messed with the lines for over 30 minutes and said he couldn't fix it and did not know what was the problem. He actually switched the incoming lines. We asked him to check the incoming lines and he refused. We asked him to escalate it and he called his supervisor and spoke Russian to his supervisor for 15 more minutes and then left. We called in again and reached a human repair person who said that she would send out. a regular Comcast employee who would be familiar with the problem-3 hours later they sent out the same person who came earlier!!! Of course we refused to have let him touch the system after he told us " I guess they sent me out because I was close by". We then went to the Comcast store at Westgate and begged them to send out a responsible repair man and the next day, they sent out THE SAME GUY!!!!!! THREE TIMES THE SAME PERSON WAS SENT WHO ADMITTED TO US HE COULDN'T FIX IT. We again went down to the Comcast store at Westgate and asked them to send out a knowledgeable repair person and they did send out a repairman who told us TO GOOGLE TELEPHONE REPAIR AND HIRE SOMEONE TO FIX OUR LINES. He refused to even check anything more and wouldn't even look at the incoming lines to our house where we think the problem could be. What do they repair and what are their responsibilities? This company has the worst Customer Service and even worse Repair Service. WE are held hostage by them. HELP!! read more

I had very serious problems with Xfinity Internet Customer Support. 1. To begin with, Xfinity makes it almost impossible to contact a live agent. After saying no to about 10 different menus, I was finally able to talk to one. 2. I was promised that my monthly subscription would be reduced to $70 PM if I agreed to a one year contract. I agreed, but then I discovered that I had signed on to a 2 year contract for $86. 3. In the meantime, I had some outage issues, which the Technical Support inaccurately attributed to an equipment issue. So I was told that a new router would be shipped to me and I would be charged $15 for the same. However, after an hour, the Internet was working - which means that there was an outage in the system. When I called back, I was told that I would be refunded the $15 if I returned the router to a physical location. Let's find out if that is true. The overall experience was so pathetic that I will never again use Xfinity for any services after my current contract expires. I am giving a one star because cannot give a zero star! read more

We called for help because our Xfinity was freezing up could never watch a program without problems, our internet and tv run slow yet they claim we have fastest speed and our bill bumped up by $40 in the last couple of months. well they duped us promised our shows would be the same to lower our bill, then the next day we discovered they erased all our DVR,s and took away premium channels lowered the hours of our dvr recording to 20 hours. we called back and no one, no one could help us get back our previous pkg. after 5 hours on the phone multiple transfer, called back the next day same thing. we pay over $280 for basically basic services, and no customer loyalty or service.
