This Xfinity store is a busy one in East Fort Lauderdale on N. Federal Highway. I have come twice now to return my modem and other equipment, and I found the staff to be helpful and efficient. I did get the impression, however, that the attendants are overworked--which is probably why there is another store opening soon just north of Commercial Blvd., and N. Federal Highway--closer to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and Imperial Point. Altogether, the store is clean with ample seating and it appears they carry a large surplus of remote controls because as I waited to be served, many customers walked in and up to the front counter to exchange theirs for a new complimentary one. I've used the Xfinity store on North Federal Hwy in Fort Lauderdale, FL a few times, mostly to exchange routers or cable boxes. I have always been treated pretty well there. I didn't make an appointment so they took the ones with appointments first and worked me in. Sometimes I was served quickly and a twice I had to wait for a while. When they got to me, they were nice and professional. They took the time to explain exactly how to install and answered my questions and concerns. I have no worries about going back. It might go better if I make an appointment. They don't do "regular" customer service there, though - unfortunately. I am very annoyed with the Comcast Xfinity "customer service" phone system though. However, if I can get to a human they are very nice and helpful. Our costs are pretty low and our services usually work well so I'm afraid to change companies. Good Luck! read more

While the interior is nice and modern, and (when it's finally your turn in a long and slow line) the customer service staff are friendly, the whole setup to drop off modem/cable boxes probably purposely designed to be excruciating. I could've popped next door to Trader Joe's, done my grocery shopping, return to Xfinity and still wait. For pure drop offs and terminations, why couldn't the reception person you first see just zap the bar codes on the equipment since your account is being looked up anyway? Since the account was already closed via phone call (Xfinity refuses to allow people to terminate or lower plans online, only upgrades) there is no need to wait in line for another rep. If they more clearly pushed the option to return equipment at your nearest UPS Store, I would have done that. Drop it off, UPS clerk tosses the stuff in a large Xfinity box, and off you go. Though big and with a pleasant enough décor, going to the Xfinity Store by Comcast was a downright awful experience. I went there to return an Xfinity modem that I had been renting. When I stepped into the store I was greeted, asked my name and told that my wait would be 30 minutes. Well, from the looks of the crowd and the fact that they only had one counter clerk working, I knew the wait time was going to be one heck of a lot longer than 30 minutes. Then, after a 25 minutes of waiting and the same customer was still with that one clerk plus the room full of those ahead of me, I left to try another day. So a few days later I did come back. Again there was only one customer clerk and I was again told I'd have a 30 minute wait. But because there were fewer people there I decided to wait. After 20 minutes they called me. Hooray! It seems the others were waiting for something else under the Comcast sign. Judith, my clerk was totally professional, speedy and polite. My return was quick and went off without a hitch. But I feel sorry for her. It's not her fault that this place is so severely understaffed and not her fault I'm only giving the place a one star. If I were rating her customer service it would be a five star. Going here, timing is everything. As a tip I would suggest being there right when they first open in the morning. read more

This review is NOT about an in-store experience, but I could not find another place to leave it. I have been without cable and internet for over 28 hours and have called Xfinity repeatedly. They make it nearly impossible to speak to a human being, unless you select the option to upgrade service. Each time I call, they tell me to do the same thing over and over again. If unplugging the modem from the wall did not work the first 10 times, then why should I continue to do it? I have also been told several times that it will take up to 2 hours to finish the process (whatever that means). During my final phone call last night I was told that if the issue was not resolved they would have to send a technician to my house. When I called this morning I was prompted to go through the entire process again. I FINALLY convinced them that it is not going to repair itself and they said they will send someone tomorrow, a federal holiday, between 3:00-5:00 p.m. So, I get to spend the 4th of July waiting and hoping that they show up. Xfinity makes it too difficult to reach customer service. When I was able to speak to a representative (I made 11 phone calls and was only able to speak to a person twice), they were kind and patient. I understand that they are doing their job by troubleshooting, but enough is enough! With paying over $200 per month for service, I expect better. Get it together Xfinity!!!!! read more

I returned an Xfinity router in their store today... stood in line 10 minutes just to register my presence. An hour later got my name called... I complained about the wait time... just to drop something off... no response... had it in an open box... all he says to me is to "remove it from the box"... 10 minutes of clicking a receipt prints out and he hands it to me... not a word... called Xfinity CS number and finally got to a live person who basically berated me for having too high of expections....maybe he's struggling with people complaining all day... maybe his parents died... I said well then he should be given time off to collect himself or perhaps he's not in the right role then... which then I got chastised again... so I said clearly Xfinity isn't about providing a good customer experience if that's your response to my complaint about one of your employees... I have been out of internet service since Monday 03/18. Today is 03/21 - now day (4) that technicians we're supposed to show up between 1 PM - 3 PM to fix it with a no show. So I am on day (4) with no internet service and my work (laptop/printer depends on it) - as well as the rest of my home - including television, lights, security cameras and my doorbell. My apartment is basically a "smart home." So basically I am not a priority to Xfinity since it's not a neighborhood outage - just a small apartment building outage. I'm being told today that Saturday is the next available day, 03/23 between 8 AM - 10 AM - and now this affects my other job so my income with both of my professions. And I'm going to have to provide my second employer with some documentation as I will need a personal day off or have to call in sick because I have to be home at 8-10 AM on Saturday and I have to be at my 2nd job at 9 AM on Saturday. WOW that was a HORRIBLE experience. No wonder this place barely has 1 star. I've seen death row in mates who are nicer and care about people more then these clowns. Walked in and was greeted with the most generic scripted sentence and that was the last professional thing I heard. The front desk girl had the attention span of a goldfish and couldn't describe where we were in line. Had to walk around the store to count how many people were waiting because she didn't care enough about her job to even survey the room. Once we finally got "helped" we left more confused then we walked in. Literally just needed to swap the modem and tv boxes which sounded so simple over the phone but once you introduce a bunch of bafoons who don't care about their jobs at all then the simplest tasks become impossible. So yesterday, after waiting 2 weeks for a tech to install X1, I still don't have it. The tech said it was too hot to go into the attic to find a cable that wasn't delivering strong signal and left the job unfinished! Apparently it was NEWS to Comcast that it's south Florida, in the middle of summer and attics are hot! The rub was that I was told I'd get a call from Dispatch last night to have a tech at our house today at 3:30 and no one called. I called this morning and found out they closed my ticket and I was promised I'd get a call back today. No one showed up today. No one called me today. I called back and was promised a supervisor would call me - guess what? No one called. Then I got a voice mail message late this afternoon from Dispatch, advising me that my appointment is August 13! So not only do I have to wait another 2 weeks for installation, what do you want to bet that the attic will be too hot in mid -August???? Maybe they should only send techs to trouble-shoot and do installations in south Florida in the winter...OMG how is it that Comcast employees aren't stalked by dissatisfied customers? Comcast has absolutely no respect for their customers. Period. UPDATE: In case you too have issues, here's the number to their Corporate HQ: 215-286-1700. I called this morning and already heard from a local Comcast office...there is hope...ULTIMATELY a GREAT tech was sent to our house and he did a WONDERFUL job. Comcast is the worst customer service I've ever experienced I switch from AT&T to dish to Comcast they start off by having you pay $144 a month for basic cable television 300 MB per second download speeds. After a year the contracts up they slowly raise the price and since you autopays you don't know about it until about six months later when my rate went to $216.32. When I called them to negotiate a better price there was no physical phone number to be able to call at all. Even the building that's on Federal Highway has no live person to talk to. I could not get a response other than the same automated system. Finally After 2hours, I found the retention department 1-888972-6021, the best they offered with a downgrade to basic TV was, $188 per month while AT&T at the exact same moment was offering $124 for my 300 MB and my middle tier television. Any company that has NO VOICE LIVE PERSON SERVICE, will never keep my business. I have no illusions that AT&T is any better, but at least I won't pay twice the price for the next year. If I hear one more time we value you as a costumer, I'm gonna scream..because clearly Comcast does not!!! 1.5 stars rating speaks for the facts, that they need to change their practices to earn any respect at all. If you close your account or move, do not go into this store to return your old equipment. For some reason, the greeter cannot help you by simply scanning the equipment. And the manager will not either. They are both happy to tell you to drive down the street to a UPS store, and return the equipment. So do yourself a favor and just go there. To make matters worse, there are only two attendants working the main counter and the manager is not willing to assist them. There are at least four empty work stations. The manager said "I'm busy doing a physical inventory". Customer service is not a factor for her. After waiting about 35 minutes, the attendant took 20 seconds to scan the equipment and provide a receipt. What a colossal waste of time. read more

Now they say it is the modem/gateway. They wanted to charge me to ship a new one. So I decided to exchange it at an Xfinity store. They didn't tell me how much the wait was going to be and they made me wait outside all though there is plenty of room to be inside and maintain social distance. I would rate them negative -10 if I could. for years Comcast has in creased their rates until the average income household could not afford them. Their Internet and TV was well over $200.00 making it the most expensive household utility Three times more that my winter electric bill. Then along came T-Mobile with an affordable internet $50.00 per month for 5g. More than enough speed to run all my tvs computer phones gaming consol which it runs smoother than when I had Comcast. I have not experienced "spoty" service like they advertise on the Xfinity commercials and I haven't experienced any outages since being with T-Mobile on the contrary my Internet was out at least once a month with Comcast. Their service was terrible to say the least. I am very satisfied with T-Mobile and the price is right with no "Spoty" service as the Xfinity commercials suggest I am saving hundreds and getting better service. I tell everyone that I know and meet to switch and get rid of Xfinity as repayment for them overcharging me for years. Xfinity has called me begging me to come back telling me that they could do my service for $25.00. asked them for how long they could not guarantee a time frame saying they would eventually would go up on their price. To put it simply they would promise me that they would eventually go up on their prices again a overcharge me again. For the $200.00 plus they charged me for all the years I had to put up with them because there wasn't any competitors I should be able to get free internet and TV for the rest of my life!!! read more

Wow, super surprised but got amazingly friendly and efficient service. I walked in and it was fairly busy, 3 clerks working and 4/5 customers sitting around or being waited on. Judith took my name and asked me to take a seat. I waited maybe 2-3 minutes before being called back up to the counter. I explained that I was there to drop off boxes I no longer needed for TV and that I wanted to reduce my plan to internet only. I was anticipating an arm wrestling match over changing my contract. Nope, to the contrary I got a no problem, a smile and a thank you! Wow! Thank you nice lady!! Judith rocks!! The store has a nice waiting area with TV's playing, kiosks around the store displaying popular phones and accessories. Theres an atm style kiosk for self service making payments. Pretty well full service for everything phone, internet, tv and cellular. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I absolutely despise XFinity and will NEVER recommend them to anyone. In fact, I plan to tell everyone I know not to use them for anything. My installer claimed he called me 5 times, when in fact he did not call at all. I had a friend waiting at my apartment for an installer who never showed and then claimed he did. Xfinity promised a credit that was never received and I got tired of spending hours on the phone with them and gave up. The same friend who was waiting for the installer that never showed at my apartment had an installer inform her that he would wait for her to drive from across the street where she was getting gas (because she had been waiting for the 30 minute call prior to install). She then received a call from the call center informing her that the installer said my friend has told him that she could not be there for 40 minutes and that he was leaving. She informed them that this was not true and that the installer was being dishonest. As she turned into her complex, she saw the installer leaving but could not stop him. She was there within 5 minutes of their phone conversation. The installer blatantly lied and refused to do his job--just as the installer lied when it was time to install my services. I do not care how much more I have to pay for services, I will not renew my services and I will never let any friends or family use Xfinity. Ever. They are the most consistently dishonest company I have ever had interactions with. read more

Went into that store to get simple internet service- paid $75 and would set up myself. Was told plug and play- got home, and properly set up equipment; it does not function. I call tech support- 45 minutes later she said the problem is on their end- and will dispatch at no charge between 8am and 7 pm. Four o'clock rolls around, no tech- so I go on chat- get passed around to several people. No tech assigned to come to your home. But we can send one for $70 because we need to hook up your line.? Why did they not say or charge- or set up when I purchased on Saturday? So- I get to wait and pay for their mistake? Nonsense!! No complaints with the home internet, but their customer service is not good. Be aware of their tricks to upgrade you while they try to add other services you don't need. I spoke with a repair representative Mike Burley ... this guy deserves 50 stars he was professional took complete charge reassuring me after explaining the problem everything was frozen and I needed help!
