I put my account on extended vacation mode last 6/24/25 w/DIRECTV rep telling me...."call us when you want to resume". To date 5/5/26 I haven't requested resuming their service & I had accrued a $118.82 credit balance. Today, 5/5/26 I opened a bill for $191.01 as they absconded with my $118.82 credit balance applying it to their 4/26/26 bill of $309.83 that I did NOT authorize! Joy (supervisor & 3rd person I spoke with) claimed they sent me an informing email or letter (she didn't know which) of resuming service". LIE!!! THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! Stupid me, I still had my account set for autopay So they stole $191.01 from my VISA account. 3 reps & 2 hrs later, their supervisor Joy told me I could "smash up their unwanted /NON-WORKING equipment with a sledge hammer if I so choose". So YES, I cancelled DIRECTV today but not before they managed to get another $309.83 out of me for absolutely NOTHING as we haven't used their over-priced service since June 24, 2025! They are THIEVES! Their equipment doesn't even work!! People, BEWARE! Use streaming services, Utube, anything BUT DIRECTV! I only wish I could give them negative stars as one star is waaaaaay too many and highly undeserved! What I got from DIRECTV was a whole lot of frustration! What they get from me is BAD PRESS! I hope it's worth it to them! And I hope you'll read my YELP review and direct your friends to these reviews as well! Please protect yourselves and your loved ones from this underhanded company!

    Tried to call and be considerate to cancel the Direct Tv for my Mother who is 92 and in a rest home…read morewith dementia. Told the rep we are selling the house and no longer need the service. Service could not be discontinued without a password created 20 years ago by mother who does not remember it. So it cant be cancelled. We will have to stop sending payments however this will put her in collections. Direct tv, you should be ashamed.

I'm writing a review hoping that it might be helpful to somebody else if they find themselves in this situation. My parents and myself have two older (7+ years) Macs running Snow Leopard. We also have 2 iPhones and a Nexus 5, and a ChromeCast. When they came to hook up the internet, the tech was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, when it came time to test the network, it seemed to only be working reliably for the newer devices (my phone, my mom's iPhone and the tech's iPad). On my parents' iMac it caused incessant hanging, and it actually froze up my MBP's entire Finder four times in a row, necessitating a hard reboot each time. The tech's eventual answer was to 'buy a new computer.' While that might be true, my parents shouldn't be expected to dump $$$ on a new computer just because of a switch in ISP! After much troubleshooting, I came to the conclusion that it was the all-in-one Modem/Wireless Router. I don't know if there are some settings that would make it function better or not, because it was basically impossible for me to check the settings before both computers would freeze. I had to boot in safe mode to turn off the wireless in the MBP, and unplug the Ethernet from the iMac. I ended up plugging an ethernet cable into my parents' old wireless router, and then using another ethernet cable to go into the iMac and using their old wireless for the rest of the devices. I wouldn't have bothered with their device as a router, except the tech unplugged everything and insisted that it should work. Maybe for newer Macs and Windows machines, but for the people who have totally functional computers that happen to be older, it's ridiculous and wasteful to think we would throw them out because they won't play nice with their buggy router! That said, the service they are getting currently is much better than Clear, and so far has been okay. We'll see how it holds up in the next few months.

The checking was a every month payment Buy the new charge started in June So they should hv charged the lesser fee. The new fee But they continue to charge both. !!!' So they are double dipping. Their agent said no only one time a month. I went to my bank in Person and they verified. One payment is from your checking. One is from your debit card. Months ago i was supposed to get the lesser fee but it just started in june I had even forgot about it !! Just dropped att mobile and they still took 144 out of my acct in june. Omg. I got my work cut out. Im going to drop Uverse too now for sure. ATT. Worse company ever. ! Many many things hv happened to me and its all on yelp. They charged me 30 a month for a phone they disconnected for a year and never paid my money back No refunds they said. Horrible company. They will take every .dollar they can but i will report this and call the BBB . To file a complaint My bank is going to fight this too. Beware of this company. Find a phone. Forget it. They never found my phones at all Someone in Hanford is still Using my phone !!

This past February 2026 it was $165, then my April bill arrives and it's $227! No explanation, no change in service, no upgrades just a giant jump in monthly service. I call Xfinity and spoke with Alex informing him I'm considering canceling my service unless my billing is adjusted lower. After his blah blah blah and round and round we go for 30 minutes he states he can lower it to $147.63 locked in for 5 years, including upping my WiFi speed to 1 GPS and no change in service. Cool, I agree and we part ways. Three hours later I flick on the TV to see I'm missing a bunch of channels. I call Xfinity and spoke with Yvette and after awhile she states I went from 125 channels down to 20-25 channels. Grrrr j aws tight moment. I ask to reinstate the 125 channels. She does and after 15 minutes said my monthly would be $220 and that's the best she could do. Ridiculous. And gave her an April 30th end of service. My money goes to streaming not to rip off Comcast/Xfinity.

One employee (blue hair, name Jean) looked right at me more than once and didn't say anything. I stood there for about five minutes waiting, while other customers came in after me and were greeted and helped right away. I finally had to speak up and ask if anyone was going to help me, and all I got was a quick "oh sorry, how can we help you?" like it wasn't a big deal. The whole staff seemed completely out of it--low energy, not paying attention, and just not interested in helping customers. When I said I wanted to buy an Apple Watch and asked how long the wait would be, I was told it might take a while because everyone needed to take lunch. That shouldn't be the customer's problem. I wasn't expecting anything special--just basic customer service like being acknowledged and helped in a reasonable amount of time. Instead, I felt ignored and unwelcome. I ended up leaving without buying anything, and I definitely won't be coming back or recommending this location.

    Be warned. I have been a customer of Xfinity for approx 20…read moreyears. In all that time, I can truthfully say that this has been the worst experience I have ever had from a service company. Why did I stay????? Good question. Besides the fact that they ruined my credit for about 2 years while I tried to fight the fact that they sent me to collections over an installation that I never authorized while I was still a paying customer. My latest encounter with Xfinity was over internet service. I was a customer who had previously paid for a full package of services they offer until my bill reached $300.00 per month. At that time, I elected to cancel all services with Xfinity except internet. For the last 2 years, I have been paying Xfinity $120.00 per month for internet service. I was sent a new internet gateway, which I was told would make my internet service much faster. I was never able to get the new gateway to work, so I tried using their internet help center. I spent about 4 hours with an Xfinity expert (who wasn't an expert) trying to get the new gateway service installed. Even though the expert wasn't able to get the new gateway service installed. I was immediately charged an additional $50.00 for the fast internet service, which was never installed. When I contacted Will (Xfinity Service representative), I was told that he would need to do more research in order to credit me the $50 I was overcharged. Will also informed me that since I was canceling their service, I wouldn't be able to receive the refund until I returned all equipment belonging to Xfinity. I have since contacted another service provider (AT&T) for Internet service and am happy to say that I will now be paying $50 per month.
