After receiving our most recent billing statement for basic cable and internet service, we decided $250/month was outrageous and not worth the cost going forward. I contacted customer service and the very friendly and helpful representative was able to drop our basic cable and set us up on an internet only plan. Our wifi modem was out of date, so she found a nearby store where we could pick one up when we dropped off the old modem and cable boxes. She gave me the store hours as well, which leads me to the review of this particular store. We walked in and were greeted by a man at a podium checking people in. I told him why we were there and he put me on the list. There were about 3 people ahead of me. They had about 4 employees helping customers, so the waiting was only about 10-15 minutes. Not too bad for a Saturday morning. My transaction only took about 5 minutes. The employee, I think his name was Austin, was helpful and efficient. He was able to get me the updated modem I needed for our new plan, and we were on our way. Once back home, we set up the new modem. It was fairly simple through the Ixfinity app. The customer service representative suggested we set up the new modem with our old modem name and password so all our current devices would reconnect automatically. That was a genius suggestion! Everything reconnected with no issues. We are all set up and don't miss our basic cable one bit! Nowadays we stream most everything we watch, so we'll be enjoying the extra $150/month in savings. I'm giving them 4/5 stars because I think their basic cable prices are absolutely ridiculous, especially with all the streaming apps available now, some even offered for free! I was happy with their customer service personnel though. read more

Bad experience at the Hazel Dell store. I am a disabled senior in pain all the time due to advanced osteoarthritis & chronic lumbar pain. I've had xfinity mobile for 5 yrs with few problems until this week. The mobile data stopped connecting. I didn't realize it until I was away from home & google maps couldn't connect. It caused me to miss a medical appt & reschedule. I then went to the Xfinity Hazel Dell store and witnessed the rudest employees I've ever seen. Another senior in the store was yelled at by a female employee and the person taking names never kept track and other employees were asking customers who was next like we knew or something. I finally was waited on by a young guy who took my phone & changed settings, handed it back to me and said it's working now. It isn't, and not only that, they did something so the phone doesn't work either. I can't make or receive calls though it worked fine until the store got hold of it. Exhausted and in pain when I got home I connected via broadband and chatted with xfinity yet again to no avail. They are clueless. The store did something so the phone doesn't work. Carriers do this to try to get customers to buy new phones. That just makes customers change carriers. I finally told chat I'm switching carriers, then a minute later broadband disconnected. I reset it and it's back up but there's no excuse for this. This is a store with a bunch of rude employees & incompetent employees who think it's funny to make the lives of seniors more painful than they already are. They know nothing of kindness and treating others how you'd like to be treated. I've emailed corporate as I'm disabled I'm supposed to have connection 24/7 so I have corporate contacts. That store should be shut down & all those employees fired. If I have to buy a new phone, it will be from a different carrier. read more

Canceled my account, got billed for next month after cancelling and ok, maybe a mistake. called, they reversed the charge, BUT they charged me a fee for Non payment on a canceled account. then they billed me for an additional month. I had to go to the office, the phone peeps could not figure anything out. Office told me i owed $191 on a canceled account Argued, had to escalate to supervisor because representative had no ability to explain. Supervisor argued with me and then figured out there was no $191 bill, they lowered it to $18-ish, and $13 of that was a late fee on a canceled account. I got loud They eventually credited my account fully. I want my 2hrs back. complete waste of time. read more

Four visits, four different suggested solutions, one up sell to fix problem. Bottom line PROBLEM NEVER SOLVED. Remote quit working. YES I changed the batteries. They gave me a replacement remote that would not work. They gave me a second remote which would light up but not change channels, volume or TV off. Told me to bring in router but internet and phone and printer all work so router is fine. They then sold me a box and different remote which should solve the problem. Did not. It wont even light up. Avoid this store if you can. I've been here twice, and both times were extremely frustrating. The first time, they told me they would text or call me when it was my turn. When I came back, they claimed they never call anyone and said they had "called my name five times," completely contradicting what I was told at check-in. I also just needed a basic question answered -- no account changes -- but they refused to help because I didn't have my physical ID, even though a photo ID or simple verification had always been enough before. Most recently, I spent about 40 minutes here trying to transfer my service after moving. They kept asking the same questions, looked completely lost, and told me everything was set up. I got home and nothing worked. I then wasted another 1.5 hours on the phone with support, and nothing was resolved. Had a friend (an engineer who is not on my account) return some extra equipment (cable boxes) as I only use streaming services. He asked for a receipt and was told by the manager (Miguel?) that he couldn't get a receipt as he was not on the account. Very strange, but as it was the manager okay I guess. The next day I get a change of service notification from Xfinity and try to get to a customer service rep via phone & online assistant (which is next to impossible I might add!) and finally get someone on the line from the Philippines who informs me that they can't do anything. I lose my mind as my bill went from $43.00 to $120.00 as the offer code I had in-effect guaranteeing my $43.00 rate until September 2026 was deleted. I asked for a supervisor and even someone from corporate who had the authority to hire & fire to help (and was TOLD that they would be in contact with me soon) only to hear crickets. Now I took advantage of the Black Friday deal (which is $40 if you signup for autopay via a checking account) only to have the autopay discount not applied. Tried customer service which now goes into a terminal hold. Absolutely the WORST customer service in the free world! Mafia shylock's are more helpful! If I could give zero stars, I would. Zero customer service. They have made it nearly impossible to get a live person on the phone - they will even hang up on you rather than transfer to someone. If you do happen to get someone - they are in a different country. I pay $200 per month for internet/cable TV (no extras - no movie channels, etc.). Today, my internet went down at 7:30 a.m. (I work from home) and at 3:00 p.m., still not back up. I can't get any info on what's going on - I even went to the Xfinity store at Vancouver Plaza - 3 different reps - no help. One guy finally looked it up and said it should be back up by 6:00 p.m.! He said he would text me an "outage" thing that would give me updates and guess what - never got the text. Switching to AT&T internet this weekend - and I'll just stream Hulu Live. We have tried signing up for the current offer 5 years no contract $50. covers internet, 1 year mobile, and 2 years peacock premium. 1st we tried signing up on the phone, gave all our usual information, and entered the credit card information. Still no service. We went in person to the store where the tech was quite snippy, we had to give the same information all over again, still no service. We had a person with a masters degree in data tech look at it, still no service. I went on line to see if I could figure out the issue with the Xfinity specialist, to begin with when you type in your ussue, they do not read your text, because they turn around and ask the same question you just answered. We are hostages to Xfinity in our neighborhood. Internet connectivity goes out MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY and we're directed to an automated reset, which works about half the time for a few minutes. I came here to pick up a local channel guide since their web site and toll-free customer service had no means of doing so (they could only show all channels available in my area, not anything broken down by service tier). I was quite literally blown away by the professional and exemplary a COVID-19 pandemic protocol that they'd established. I've NEVER experienced such a fantastic response and concern for a company's customers' wellbeing. Here's how they did it: 1. They've established a one-way traffic flow through the service center by dedicating one entrance and one exit. 2. There is clear signage on the sidewalk to show proper social distancing stations 3. There is a dedicated person outside asking each customer what they needed (there was a line of three people when I parked my car, and the line was already accommodated by the time I'd parked and reached the front door - I was the only person in line, and was let in immediately). 4. There was LOTS of staff on-hand (probably at least a dozen) to ensure that customers were taken care of promptly and to prevent lines from forming. 5. The door greeter takes each customer to a specific staff member to assist, and the staff member walks the customer to their place to be attended (with proper social distancing minded the entire way. 6. Plexiglass partitions are set up between staff and customers All of the personnel I spoke with were happy, cheerful, and helpful. The person who assisted me sent me a link to the channel list, and when I said that's what the representative at the toll-free call center did, he asked if I had the ability to to check my e-mail from my phone to verify that it was or wasn't what I needed before I left. It wasn't, and he dug deeper, found what I was looking for, and gave me a printout, asking me to make sure it was what I needed before I left. His service was outstanding. read more

This is an update from my last year's, initial review of Comcast/Xfinity originally posted with three stars now demoted to one. Recently purchased an EMF RF detector to check my living space for highest RF reading. Not surprisingly. The Xfinity Modem, read the highest RF emission. The source of this problem, IMO is that XFINITY took away our control to turn on and off wireless emission. I was told to call them to have them turn it off on my modem. They claimed it was turned off. However that's not what my meter telling me. Further more, I heard that WiFi cannot be turned off because of XFINITY's public WiFi scheme prevent's it from being turned off. If you are EMF/WiFi sensitive I strongly recommend that you avoid this company product and look for a service which allows you to turn off WiFi in real time with your own confirmation. I'm cancelling this service next month when one year contract expires. read more

This month our Comcast bill went up $20. We called the company to see if we could make changes in order to lower the cost. We have had comcast from the time of their conception when they were Cox Cable. They had always been helpful and created a package that would fall into our budget. Today we were told that if we wanted to make changes we needed to go to our rewards page and make the changes ourselves. How is that customer service? That's us doing their job. Absolute fucking nightmare went In To swap my phone over to them because my internet is with them no big deal I thought, then Christian 9/11/22 at roughly 12pm sent me out of the store with my sim and told me my other provider had a outage and the number could not transfer but as soon as I lost service I could plug in my new sim and it would would as of now it has been 7hrs and everything has totally been screwed up. 5hrs still no phone & got home and my internet is dead, he didn't activate my internet so called in & he never activated my internet back and they tell me my phone service won't be active for 24hrs... hmm so I wasted another 2hrs on the phone getting the run around. I was billed for services not rendered & wasnt told that it could take 24hrs..... if I was told that upfront I would have took my service elsewhere!!!!!!!!! On top of that they won't provide you with a last name over the phone so you only get a first name so you can't file a complaint about them.
