They were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. We also ordered the General Tso's chicken, and without exaggeration, it was the best General Tso's chicken I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, crispy, and packed with flavor. It's a small restaurant, but don't let the size fool you. The flavors are huge, and the quality is outstanding. I honestly can't rave enough about this place. If I lived closer, I'd probably eat here every day. Xiao Ling's has a lunch special menu with a limited number of entree choices, a cup of soup, and a small egg roll. The eggplant w/ garlic sauce contained a good amount of tender, creamy eggplant, but the sauce was neither garlicky nor particularly flavorful, and there was little of interest in the dish besides the eggplant. While the food was just okay, the service was great - really fast if you are in a rush, and very attentive and eager to please. I would have like to order some soup dumplings, but I was informed those typically take at least 15 minutes. If you have the time, I'd recommend the dumplings but skip some of the other fare. read more

I would give this a 3.5 star review. It's a casual place, clean, comfortable and bright. Service is brisk and responsive. The menu selection is broad - we tried the scallion pancakes (minimal flavor), pork xiao long bao (decent and unusually large and thick dough - served with ladle vs traditional soup spoon), chicken and pork/scallop dumplings (super doughy) which had ok flavor, pan fried pork buns (super doughy and cake like on the outside - not traditional preparation), and the veggie delight (was served with white rice and lacked key Asian ingredients like bamboo, baby corn, mushrooms, and water chestnuts). Serving sizes good for the prices. I'd say there are better options if you're craving dumplings and authentic Chinese food. But they'll do in a pinch. read more

Service - I've never had bad service here. Initially I thought Xiaoling's was fast casual, but you'll have a server help you. Our servers were nice, smiling, efficient, and since the restaurant wasn't completely full we never had any wait issues. 1 Star. Food - There are many items on the menu, and you can eat individual dishes or family style, but I always start with the Scallion Pancake. This thin, fried cake is served a side of salty soy dipping sauce. It's crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and I always get a bite of fresh, sharp scallion in my bite. I'm also a fan of their Xao Long Boa soup dumpings. It's served with a spoon so you can capture the soup. Finally, finish with an order the Pan Fried Bao. The outside fried bao texture is a great contrast to the soft, soup dumpings. Now, it's not the best dumplings I've had, but Xiaoling's is a great value. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. The cost of eating out has skyrocketed. So it's nice that places like Xiaoling's Noodles and Dumplings exist so I can enjoy legit soup dumplings at a very reasonable price. 1 Star. read more

Service: Came here on Labor Day (2025) and the place was fairly busy! Lots of tables and to-go/take out orders. The staff were friendly and patient with us since we took some time looking at the menu. They came to refill our waters and check in throughout our time here. Ambiance: The restaurant is not large, but has plenty of seating. Food: We ordered several dishes to try- 1) Pork soup dumplings- My husband loved these and thought they were one of the better ones that he's had in DFW. They were extra soupy and pretty large compared to the others. The flavor was great, too! 2) Boiled "sam" dumplings, which had beef, shrimp, and eggs. The flavor profile was unique and pretty good! 3) chicken stir fry rice noodles - I did not enjoy these as much. Did not have a ton of flavor. 4) Mixed veggies- The mixed veggie plate was fine. I didn't enjoy this either. The guy couldn't speak English well so he couldn't tell me what kind of mixed veggies were in this. The plate had broccoli, shredded carrots, and cabbage. 4.5 stars! That's huge for us and this type of establishment. Over 4 stars is usually reserved for restaurants that exceed all expectations and are usually $$$$! We started with the chicken soup dumplings. They were fresh, filled with tasty chicken and a creamy broth. The dumplings itself were made while we watched. Next we had the pan fried dumplings. We got the combination which gave us two of each. We loved the meat dumplings, the added green onion added to the freshness and the veggie was our least favorite, but still good. Fresh and light despite being fried. And the presentation was very nice. Lastly, we had the boa buns. We chose 2 beef and 2 pork. My absolute favorite. The bun was soft, hot and as flavorful as any boa bun bun could be. The filling was plentiful and very good. Over all a very satisfying first visit. This is a very unassuming place tucked in the middle of a huge strip mall. Great service - no frills but that was actually a good thing. The soup dumplings were top tier. We had a group of 4 people and got 2 orders. I wished I had taken a photo. We couldn't even finish them all because we also got entrees. I had the dan dan noodles. I love a great lunch deal--who doesn't? I'd heard rumors of $10 lunch specials at this place, though now it's $11.50 (inflation, am I right?). Hubbs ordered the General Tso's lunch special, which came with an unremarkable egg roll that was about as lukewarm as my feelings for Mondays, and a hot and sour soup that was neither hot nor sour. Like, come on, that's literally the name of the dish! I'm on a never-ending quest for great Dan Dan noodles, and according to the reviews, this place was supposed to deliver. Well, they weren't bad, but they sure weren't great. I was hoping for a party in my mouth, but it was more like a polite gathering where everyone just nods at each other. But it was a large serving, and my husband likes to say "quantity is a quality all on its own" Maybe we need to give this place another shot and try the dumplings--because let me tell you, they were all being lovingly handmade at the counter. I needed a place that was between North DFW and downtown Dallas so I decided to give Xiaoling's a try. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly by a friendly server. The restaurant itself was clean and presented well. The challenge was the food, it honestly was not bad, it just wasn't that good. We had the Dan Dan noodles which lacked any real flavor and were both bland and not spicy. We also had the General Tso Chicken was had one sad piece of broccoli keeping a lookout over the rest of the plate. The chicken was nice and hot, but the sauce was entirely too sweet and not balanced. We finished up with the BBQ Pork Bao which had a tough exterior and seemed to have been microwaved. The husband and I decided to get some food before heading to a Korean spa. It's been a long work day because of the Texas heat. The day old conversation that Eddie and I have is who gets to pick and decide our next meal. (Hint, it's normally me.) Service is a tad awkward, but still good. But here comes story time. Walking into a quaint spot with aromas permeating your nostrils, the sound of sizzles and boils and troubles throughout the background alongside modern post Malone songs, and the sight of a dumpling master making all of your orders from scratch bring me to one conclusion... this is going to smack and I'm going to lick my plate. The menu has a solid amount of options from beef braised noods to a plethora of different type of dumplings. Vegetarian options are aplenty and bountiful. The meats are there with plenty of fillers. But what do we get? Per usual, we almost go too crazy but I decide to not order the black garlic ramen. We ordered instead; chicken and pork soup dumplings, pan fried combo dumplings, spiced tossed edamame, and Rangoons. Rangoons filled with cream cheese? Normally I'd say sign me up but these weren't my cup of tea. I'm not a sweet and sour fan but I'm not going to yuck on someone else's yum. On average? It's just average. The combo dumpling truly shown with crisp edges and different types of proteins or veggies. The chili oil that accompanied up definitely upped the game for this. 9/10. Chicken and pork soup dumplings: holy mackerel. Definitely get extra ginger to eat with them. You're going to thank me as the soup was soooo flavorful. Being able to watch them make this irl is always a fun experience. Spiced edamame: I've had plenty of different variations of spicy edamame that some have doused in sambal or sriracha. This right here hits a different way of almost Szechuan notes with the dried tossed chili into the oil and edamame. I couldn't resist adding my dumplings and friends into the oil to give it a nicer elevation. Milk bao: who wouldn't say no to an Asian delicacy of steamed milk in a bao form? Not too sweet but sweet enough with the bao means a pillow of goodness and creamy milk custard blesses and tantalizes my tongue and tummy. I'm contemplating about getting another one to be quite honest. Review? 10/10 would come again. I'm going to have to try more food and definitely get everything except the Rangoons again. The scallion pancakes were SUPER FLAKY, but not enough scallions. The pan fried dumplings were super fluffy. Only deducted one star because they used Pillsbury canned biscuit dough for the pan fried dumplings instead of homemade dough. Really yummy food! We got takeout on Christmas Day and it was all quite good. Fresh, not greasy with salty think sauce (which is what most Chinese takeout seems to be). Dumplings were fresh, flavorful, and not skimpy on the filling. The only reason for 4 starts vs 5 is that two of the items were wrong (dumplings were fried rather than steamed; a veggie dish was supposed to have tofu added and it was missing). Like I said, it was VERY busy so I'm guessing that why there were some mistakes, but those will not keep us from returning. read more

My fiance and I came in thinking this place was about to be the best spot we've eaten at all week, however our server Sindha was absolutely horrible. First we came in, we were greeted kindly and were told to sit down anywhere, as far as ambiance the place was pretty nice if I do say so. But, our server asked us what we would like to drink and my fiance and i went with a matcha boba tea and a milk boba tea... and let me tell you, that was the most horrific boba tea I have EVER had. We then started ordering and once we were done ordering, our server started responding to us in a really rude and monotone way, my fiance and i brushed it off, when the food came out, dumplings were amazinggggg but the beef broccoli noodles were not the best, the broth had a really weird flavor but we kept eating, then my fiance and I were going to order more food later on when Sindha brought us our check!!
