I rarely ever buy Chinese food in Ossining because personally I am from the Bronx and their Chinese food is so much better. Whenever I do, I order from Xin bc they are only a couple of blocks from me. Tonight I wanted to get dinner for my grandmother, boneless spareribs and rice so I ordered from Xin Chyna garden, and I am totally dissatisfied. I picked up the order and almost every single rib is crispy, burnt and tastes burnt, I called. Not even a sorry, not a refund I will send you a new order, a discount on the next order nothing but OK. This is disgusting. I am totally dissatisfied with both the food and the customer service. Now I have to find my grandmother something else to eat with her rice for dinner. read more

Food was tepid & bland. No pork in pork egg roll & General Tso's tastes like sesame chicken mixed with sweet & sour sauce.

I ordered food for delivery and the app told me 30 minutes. I then received a phone call from the restaurant at the time my food was supposed to to be delivered, and they told me it was going to be an hour from that time "bc they were busy." This isn't the first time I've had an issue here, and if they had told me an hour and a half for delivery I would not have ordered from them. They are unreliable and wouldn't recommend, when there are so many available Chinese food restaurants in the area read more

Very average Chinese-American style of Chinese take out with limited seating. They are quick and food is fresh. While their food is typically generic and forgetful, I would recommend their curry dishes which have a little but of a punch. To be fair this is pretty much typical for Chinese food in the area. read more

Worst Chinese food ever! The "pork fried rice " had one piece of carrot and 2 pieces of pork. The rice was completely under cooked, also. The boneless spare ribs were mostly charred to the point of being inedible. The shrimp with snow peas was ok, but too salty. First and last time I will order from this place! read more

Sorry, but this average Chinese food is for emergencies only. Other choices in Ossining are better. The best (nearby) is in Croton ... Dong Happy Garden ... next to ShopRite. Food there is terrific, large portions, and the best prices. read more

On the plus side, the food is fine and they do deliver. A few times when we've ordered for the whole crew (we have 4 kids) they've thrown in an extra soda gratis which is very nice. This is your garden variety Chinese food place, so don't expect the earth to move. And there have been occasions when they've conscripted what appears to be their high school age daughter to work the counter, and it has been all too clear she'd rather be elsewhere. But hey, the food is fine, the prices are reasonable and they have a good diverse menu. read more

It's a problem when the chef can't tell you what's in a dish. It's an even bigger problem when there's a picture on the wall of what's in the dish and it comes out looking way different than the picture. Completely different vegetables than are in the picture. I've ordered here about five times. I've gotten the chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, lo mein, pad thai and more. All of the food and service has been good until the most recent order. On this last order the food took an hour to arrive (fine it's dinner time), the delivery girl had no change (fine, you get a 30% tip tonight), I didn't receive rice with my order, and I opened up my chicken and broccoli to discover a long black hair right on top. I called to explain this and they brought another order. Then I get a call from the resturant, and it was difficult to understand him, but it seemed like he was saying that he only had male cooks, so the hair could not have come from them and like he was accusing me of planting a hair. This doesn't even make sense- what would the purpose of this be? I gave back the chicken and broccoli with the hair and got to wait an hour and a half to eat my dinner. How would I benefit from that? In the past 10 years it's gotten progressively worse. Portions get smaller and smaller, skimping out on meat and increasing vegetables and rice (may be healthier, but who eats Chinese take out for health?). Still, the price is cheap for the strong flavors you get. read more

How many Chinese restaurant's are in this area? Why are they all just varying degrees of lousy. This food is bland and uninspired but for better or worse is better than anything else around. We ordered three dishes and they ALL had the same vegetable mixture included in them - onion, carrot, baby corn and broccoli. My choice for chinese in Ossining. Meat is not questionable, which is a major plus for me when it comes to chinese food. Otherwise, it's just your average chinese food. read more

This place has since changed there name and now are called XIN with new owners and new recipes. My family and i moved to ossining 4 years ago and lamented about the sad state of affairs when it came to Chinese food in ossining. Xin is what we where waiting for. read more
