I'm 32 and have since been asked about my great complexion. Additionally, I've subsequently found out the "laser" there is not a laser. I'm not an expert, but from pictures on their website, it's a Palomar StarLux 500, which uses Intense Pulse Light or IPL, and is somewhat outdated (and relatively inexpensive) technology. With what was being charged for a year of sessions, I could pay for the machine myself. Overall, I felt pretty self conscious after my initial consultation and wondered if my presupposed budget was wildly off base. After talking to friends and other businesses, this is by far the most expensive package I could find, and it doesn't have the technology, results, or added value to merit the price.

After I did some research on various lasers on the market, I chose Pain Free Laser. They claim they have the best tech and they actually do (!!!) The Soprano XL is a phenomenal laser and is a fairly new addition in the market. The technology is top-notch and it really was pain-free (and surprisingly fast). I couldn't find another place in the Portland metro area that had comparable laser equipment. Marietta runs this place on her own and she does a darn good job at it :) She is extremely knowledgeable, communicative and highly-skilled at what she does. I've been to consultations with other laser technicians in the area who were all about urgency and making a sale. That's not the case here. The space is calming and welcoming. The Cool Sculpting procedures are really fantastic as Lynne talks to you throughout the procedure and explains what it does, how long it take, the results, etc. You can use your ipad to watch a show or pick up emails on your phone and before you realize it you are finished.
