They were very professional. In fact a little too professional as they seem to stay in professional mode and won't laugh or engage with you on a friendly/personal level. Forced small talk. If you're into just getting it done then have no fear, this is for you! They charge by the hour with a 3 hour minimum, so try to have your furniture moved early in the morning, traffic conditions may slow them down, adding an additional hour or more. A small discount is given if you're paying cash. They wrap the furniture very well. And were very careful with my belongings. Only finger I lifted was to hold the door open. They unwrapped everything and set the furniture just how I wanted it. I gave 3 stars because: -I was lucky my boyfriend remembered that my sofa needed cushions and pillows after they said they were done and left. I called the driver on his cell phone and asked if there was another box in the truck. Indeed, they forgot a huge box as tall as a refrigerator with 5 cushions and 10 pillows. I'm so happy my boyfriend remembered. They all came back and brought them in. -Not too friendly. They really should converse with the customers more. -They complained about having to deliver so late and mentioned on more than occasion wanting to go home to their families. read more

Top to bottom this company is horrible. I needed a mover on short notice and out of several XO - specifially Anna at XO was prompt to respond. I set up a moving date and gave a CC to hold. The payment terms are 50% at pickup and 50% at delivery, cash or check at pickup and cash or money order at delivery. I thought this was standard in the industry but it is not. They use a cash system so you have no recourse when they mess up. I chose a moving date and had everything boxed and ready to be picked up. The movers would not have to do anything except take it from the first floor of my house into their truck. On the actual moving day the movers were late, really late. And I had to call to track them down. No one from XO was considerate enough to let me know. Movers showed up at 6PM instead of by 2PM. The people who showed up were John and someone else (later learned he's just helping out and does not do this full time). It started off well as John let me take a picture of the last weight slip "because he likes to be honest with his customers". I was told I would get a weight slip after my items were loaded. After looking at my boxes whoever John was talking to decided that my move was now 3500 LBS instead of 2500. At this point I had no choice, if I cancelled my CC would be charged a fee and I'd still have to find a mover. I was running out of time. I thought 2500 was high and John assured me that they would be transparent and provide me a weight. At the time of reservation I was told that my items would be delivered within 10 days of the date I chose at the time of pickup, more on this later. John was a nice guy and so was the other but they were very lazy, in paticular his helper. He would go into my house, bring out a few boxes and disappear for 10-15 min. No idea what he was doing as I was watching John. After a while I noticed something odd. John had an earpiece in and was facetiming with his wife, THE ENTIRE TIME! The process of loading into their truck took 4 hours. They were very slow and more interested in digging through a stack of items I had for donation. The only time they really applied themselves was looking at old phones and laptops. Fast forward to the end of the pickup - I took pictures of the pickup sheet showing my numbered items and had to give a check for 50% of the even more inflated amount - again John stressed they are a very honest company (spoiler, they are not). John did not know anything about writing a date on the sheet for delivery. So many red flags. He suggested I contact the person who booked my move to pick a date. I contacted anna and picked a date 3 weeks from my pickup date. I had to leave the country for 3 weeks in 6 weeks so I thought this was reasonable. 3 weeks later and nothing, I had called and emailed and was finally told that they were still looking for a carrier to deliver my items. But they had within 10 days of the date I chose to do it. Ok fine I said. The 10 days passed and still nothing. I stressed again I had to leave on x date and they said they were working on it. Finally I got a date. It was 4 days before I had to leave, cutting it close but ok. That day goes by and I call and ask why no one has showed up - they do not know and they even lied to me on the phone about telling me the delivery date had changed. I stressed again it had to be by x date or it would have to be after I got back. That is when they got nasty. They said even though they were late I would have to pay a redelivery fee if I didn't take the delivery whenever they said. I said they kept giving me different delivery dates and no one was showing up. Finally late at night the day before I had to leave I get a call from a different company, Revolution Moving that they were scheduled to deliver the day after my drop dead date. I said no way that does not work. The revolution guy said he'd call XO and they'd get back to me. I did not hear back and I called XO. I'm stressing out at night wondering how to make this work. Finally I decided to try and deal with the revolution guy because the people at XO are truly worthless. I changed a flight and ate the cost so I would not miss my international flight and told the revolution guys to come. They said they'd come at 5PM and did not show to 11PM. 20 min unload with no weigh slip, they said they'd weigh after, but also had another delivery in az before going to las vegas. john missed 10 boxes on his sheet. too busy on his phone. gave the revolution guys the inflated balance and was told i'd get a refund if it were less. a few weeks later after asking about the weight I get an email saying the weight was 4000! and I owed more. I said no and this is against CA law. never heard back. even the revolution guys were skeptical that my stuff even weighed 2500. xo is a horrible unprofessional scam. oh and my boxes were brand new but beat up really bad. couldn't even donate them to be reused read more

XO Movers were wonderful! I made the appointment over the phone with Kathy, who couldn't have been nicer or more knowledgeable. While the price she originally quoted was super high, she was able to knock off about $400 because we didn't have as much furniture as a typical 3 bedroom house has. (I think they simply run conservative so there are no surprises on moving day.) Then, my husband dealt with four AMAZING and STRONG movers: Victor, Azael, Jesse, and Elmey. Wow, is all I can say. We moved from a one story ranch to a four story town home. They were efficient, professional, kind, careful (not one thing was broken, and our packing had a lot to be desired). This company was phenomenal! Joshua was excellent and assured me every step of the way as I was extremely stressed throughout the entire process. Even when urgent rescheduling had to happen he took it right in stride and calmed me down and worked out the move to the date I needed without any added stress. When the movers arrived, they were professional, courteous, and efficient during the packing, loading, and unloading at my new home. I was more than pleased with the customer service, pricing, and the extra special treatment by Joshua and the moving staff assisting me at both ends of my move. I wasn't going to write a review until I saw a few of the other reviews which were negative. I feel duty-bound to tell my experience. I reached out to XO Moving System in California while I was living in temporary housing in Colorado. I had them send their best estimator over to my house in California to estimate the size of the contents to be moved. I was on the phone with him as he and a friend walked room to room pointing out what was moving and what was not. He generated a list and a weight for the move. A week later, and after much move related dialog, the movers arrived on the date we agreed upon. A lot of the items (larger items) needed to be boxed, so I agreed to pay more to have them do it. Their crew went to work and boxed up the items in record time. The manager (and brother of the owner) labeled and tagged everything that went onto the truck. I was supplied with this list so that I could verify it at the other end. It helped a lot. Like another reviewer mentioned, there was a difference between the estimated weight and the actual, so the manager offered a bulk price not based on the weight. I agreed. For the delivery, we settled on a date range, not an exact date. The reason is the fact that winter was in effect and Colorado has road closures and traffic based on weather conditions. It just so happened that we had a blizzard on the date the delivery crew decided to come. They stayed local and waited out the storm. They showed up the next day and unloaded the truck. From what I saw, the unloading crew was not the same company as the loading crew. Only problem is I didn't like the fact that my Cal-King mattress was on the outside of the truck!! Overall, things went relatively smoothly (I didn't expect 100% problem free). As for the things that were in control of XO Moving system, I give them 5 stars. This is my second time using XO Moving.. Things have changed quite a bit since MIke left the top management group. My move was from Bay Area to Denver area. The estimator ( I believe it was Jerardo) who came in to give the estimate was off in his estimate by over 3000 lbs!! Fortunately, I paid only for how much ever the weight was. Ana was my contact in XO and she was pretty good in communicating back and forth BEFORE the move. The guys who came in to pack and load were also very good in the way they went about their work. I have no complaints until the point the shipment left the bay area, other than the estimator not being close in his estimate. (it didn't matter eventually because like i said I only paid for what it weighed). The experience with XO quickly started going downhill though when it was time to deliver my items in Denver. The Driver was NOT from XO.. he belonged to some other company. He wanted me to confirm for him that his 18 wheeler can pull up to my house.. if you find yourself in a similar situation, DO NOT OFFER ANY SUGGESTIONS!.. I told this driver that people have moved recently in my neighborhood and did not experience any issues with a truck coming in there to deliver. I also sent him pictures of my street. Instead of doing his own homework, this driver comes in and immediately is unable to turn into the cul-de-sac street. He threatens to charge me extra for parking and unloading outside the street. After much time spent in arguments and my neighbors trying to help him.. he finally is able to pull outside my house. This guy's attitude was horrible to say the least. He complained about having to assemble furniture, though that is part of all moving deals.. whatever they disassemble, they have to assemble and put it together. He didn't want to do it... and said he didn't work for XO Moving. I told him what the contract said and he grudgingly did it. He had no tools so he borrowed mine. He was not careful sometimes and bumped the furniture around. He even insisted I pay in cash before unloading and I had to prove to him that XO Moving allows the remainder payment to be made in cashiers' check. XO Moving completely dropped the ball when it came to standing behind their drivers during delivery. They probably sub it out to anyone based on convenience and cost and the customer is left to deal with the headache of them not understanding the parent company's contract or values. How can XO Moving commit to any kind of customer satisfaction when it is NOT THEIR DELIVERY GUYS?. The shipment resulted in one of my full bed breaking. I took pictures and contacted XO Moving. They in turn simply asked me to get in touch with a THIRD PARTY CLAIMS company. There was no effort on XO Moving to walk me through the process or do anything for me. Ana's communication disappeared. She was no longer the same. I went through this third party claims company and did all the paperwork. It resulted in a small claims amount, but XO Moving sat on it for over 4 months!!. Throughout the 4 months there was ZERO COMMUNICATION from XO. Every single time I had to call and get status updates. People would promise to call back, but never did. Ana, Kimberly and others did not return emails. Finally I was able to talk to Kimberly directly and she insisted they had 90 business days to settle... and you can bet they will sit on your money for the full duration while they have a policy of not even unloading your items unless you paid the remainder balance in cash or cashiers' check. Update:... Based on call from XO Moving, they have stopped using the carrier that delivered my goods. I appreciate that since it shows they are listening to their customers.. I have added another star to the review based on this feedback. My suggestion to them in the future would be to have ONE point of contact per job so that at least communication is stream lined... and they really should make sure their delivering company is aware of the particulars of the contract. read more

I will never use XO Moving Systems, inc. again because the damage they did plus their fee was more than the furniture was worth. I would have been better off to just abandoning the furniture and buying new furniture at my new home. I submitted my claim with them in May and again with Melissa Martinaz September 23, 2013 and after several emails and phone calls to Melissa, I'm still waiting. I have not even gotten the 60 cents per pound! Also, I gave them a list of every piece of furniture with the weight to get a quote but when they delivered my things 5 days later in a different truck, they demanded 3 times the price in cash or they wouldn't give me my things. That's extortion in my book. When they loaded the truck I made sure everything was packed correctly but when my furniture came 5 days later, it was in a different truck and everything was packed wrong. My $5000 grandfather clock was upside down. The bottom was broken off and now doesn't keep good time. My $10,000 library was smashed with their forklift and has big gouges. My antique table made it to my new house but was thrown across the garage by the XO Movers and that's how that got destroyed. Many other expensive pieces of furniture were severely damaged by them. When I was contracting with them I asked my rep. about insurance but I was told, "We package everything so good, you don't need it". What really happens is, since they put blankets around everything, they can't see what's fragile and they don't know where they should lift. Infinite Negative Stars!!! Worst Moving company. This is Day-34. They loaded our stuff from San Jose on 25/05 and signed a contract for delivery in 1-14 business days. As per our first discussion , we should be receiving them by Day-8. I called them on Day-10,11,12- no one answered the phone. It passed the agreed time and so i asked for the manager(she took 4 days to call me back) and was told that the driver would pick stuff on the weekend and he will deliver in couple of days. Here I'm today having no clue what happened to my stuff, i haven't been able to speak to them since then and now they sent a mail saying the driver will drop them only next month. I'm filing a complaint to FMCSA and Department of Transport now! read more

THE WORST! Where to start... they are really nice on the phone and had good reviews, so I decided to spend the extra money to get my things from SF to a Seattle safely. When they got to my house the estimate changed by almost $1000. Too late to get another company. Before they even got to my delivery site they said I had to pay an additional $450 for shuttle service even though I repeatedly insisted that would not be necessary at my wide street. I was abroad and had to make a very expensive phone call to explain to 3 different people that big semi trucks have been traveling on this street for at least 80 years with no problems! But the worse part: 1 big box was missing, furniture, lamps and glass decoration items were broken. I calculated almost $2000 of damage for which they offered to pay me $117 4 months ago, and not even that they sent me. use this company if you want them to lie, cheat, steal and break your things. And they will sweet talk you all the way UPDATE: after my review I received a threat call from the company to delete my review if I would love to receive the fortunes they offered me and that I signed a "legal" form saying that I would not give an negative reviews! read more

I have hired many movers in the past and this was by far the worst experience. Not only was the staff incredibly rude once the move day was around but they lied and defaulted from our agree to contact. The movers damaged property, stuff can't up missing, and their end movers actually hired helpers to do their job. The helpers and the people who were supposed to move our stuff proceeded to get into an argument over money in the driveway. I could actually go on about how bad this company is but I will include that information in my Bbb complaint. I used this company in 2013 to do a cross country move from northern California to the east coast. A friend ha recommended them. Wish I'd knew better. Don't believe the hype! This company was horrible!! I'd never use them again nor recommend them to anyone. First off, they weren't thorough about the process. They left out many details. They quoted me a price that kept changing, in fact it doubled by the time they arrived to deliver my stuff. I don't know where the hell they hire their movers from. They arrived late to pick up my things. They handled my items carelessly. They broke stuff. They added their own tape to my already securely packed items then turned around an charged me for each roll of tape. They tossed out their garbage from their truck into my garage, leaving pickles, broken glass and old torn boxes all over the garage floor. They left and forgot to take a bunch of my stuff. I had to spend an extra $200 to rent an suv to drive an hour down to Union City to drop off all the stuff they forgot. My stuff sat at their warehouse for a week, before it actually got transported. After weighing my stuff at the weigh station, they called me saying that it would cost more money because it weighed more than estimated. They took about 3 weeks to get to my destination. When they arrived to deliver my things, it was a whole different crew. They called to tell me that it would be an additional $400 because they needed to transfer my stuff from the truck onto a shuttle. Before they would even release my items, they asked for additional money which I had not expected to pay. This left me scrambling trying to get the funds together on the spot at the last minute. Now, the total had reached about $4,500. I'd rather had just sold the stuff. As they brought items in I noticed, a lot of my stuff was broken. As if they had just been tossing it up into the truck. I was so mad! Then after they finished unloading the truck, the main driver asked me if I could give a tip to the guys that helped him since he'd promised them money. Hell no, that's not part of the plan! They left all the packaging under the stairs without my permission. It looked a hot mess. I didn't even know it was out there until the following day In the end, this move was extremely stressful and costly. I never thought I would have this experience. It was horrible. It was like once they got my deposit and my stuff, no one cared. They charged me $400 extra for their tape. What a scam! Make sure you do your research and ask questions before choosing any moving company. Don't base your decision on reviews and ratings alone. Base it on what they can put in writing! Is the tape or special wrapping included? Is dissembling and resembling included? Do they guarantee the quoted price based on the weight or cubic feet of the inventory? Ugh. To be short and sweet, the 7 hours this company spent at my home packaging and making sure my items were safe was apparently a front. I used international van lines for my move from California to Virginia and the move was subbed out to xo moving systems. On top of being charged extra for things (see my review for international van lines) this company broke, dented and scratched almost all of my belongings. Not sure how that happens when you took so long to wrap them from the start. Every box I open, I find something else broken. One leg on my grill is completely snapped off! How does this happen? Many items that I have worked hard to acquire are now broken. This company along with international van lines will be hearing from my lawyer as soon as we figure out exactly how many of our belongings are broken. read more

These guys are so awesome they make moving soooooo easy!! I had to move recently and decided to use this company after collecting a couple of quotes from other companies i found on yelp, I spoke to a representative(Emil) and liked what he had to say, the movers showed up on time with in the window I was promised and even called me about half an hour or so before to let me know they were on their way. After looking at the contract they started my move, I was very pleased with the quality of service I received, the men made me feel super comfortable and assured me that everything will be moved without any problems since i had a few items that needed special attention. The guys were very fast and in no time my furniture was wrapped up and was on the way to the moving truck. they moved out all my things pretty quick and I was very satisfied. this was only my second time using a moving company but I will definitely use these guys next time, I managed to stay within the minimum but I wasn't moving far but still I was very happy with the end result. the only other charge was for my TV because I didn't have the box but it was only a couple of dollars extra. Overall I was very please with my experience using this moving company, they have exceeded my expectation and nothing was broken!! read more

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT use this moving company!!! Save yourself the stress and thousands of dollars of losses!! I have opened a Yelp account just to post this review so that hopefully others don't have to go through what we went through. They will lie and cheat you the whole way. If you pick them, you will be making one of the biggest mistakes of your life. I wish someone had given me this advice before I booked them. RUN away from this company!!! Our move was from Los Angeles to Dallas on 06/25/2014. We initially booked our move through Green Van Lines, expecting Green Van Lines to move us. Arthur was very helpful and responded promptly. The day before our move, we were informed that XO Moving Systems would be moving us because Green Van Lines gave them our contract. Everything went downhill from there. The foreman from XO Moving Systems was extremely rude and started upcharging us the moment he stepped foot in our house. He wanted extra money for everything. Basic things like wrapping our furniture in blankets, 'elevator fee', long carry fee, etc, etc. We called Arthur and he negotiated with XO and a long carry fee of $250 was added to our invoice. It was made very clear to the foreman to only use the service elevator to move furniture. Despite this, he always used the resident elevator, cursing and fighting with the security guards the whole time. After all our furniture was loaded on the truck, the foreman started asking for more money again. He claimed we had 37 boxes even though we only had 30!!! While we were discussing with him, my uncle slipped the Hispanic laborers some money, and got on the truck to count the boxes himself. 30 boxes! Caught in a lie, the foreman got red hot and stormed out. Days passed and we heard nothing. Our contract obligated the movers to deliver within 14 business days, by July 16, 2014. Tired of waiting, we started contacting Arthur. He was very nice but really had no idea what was going on. Every time, we were told there is a delay but it would here on time. After numerous phone calls to Arthur, and Tami at XO Moving Systems, our stuff finally arrived on July 20, 2014, 25 days after pickup!!! Little did we know, the worst was yet to come. Only ONE guy showed up to deliver and he immediately demanded $250 extra for 'long carry' fee and $100 'elevator' fee. Our apartment is literally next to the door so the fees sounded ridiculous. We told him we would not pay a penny over the contract. He threatened to throw our belongings in the trash and drove off in his 18 wheeler. 5 minutes later, he came back around the block and began to unload. Since it was ONLY ONE guy, it took him twice as long to unload. Half the items were damaged and adding insult to injury, there were FOUR MISSING BOXES!!! Our total cost for damages was $7898.99!!!!! This does not include the $2800 we paid to Green Van Lines for the move. In return, we were offered $300 to not file a claim. We refused and have filed a claim which may get us $570 at the most. They took 14 days to deliver my stuff from San Francisco to Vancouver WA and they tried to estimate my weight on my shipment to get more money out of me. Turns out I knew what my Weight was from a previous move with another company Suddath movers plus I had less furniture. Basically they tried to tell me I had over 10,000 lbs when I only had about 3. I call BS. Once they took my stuff I was given no status and sat in my house for week with no stuff and an infant. This organization lacks professionalism on a level I did not think possible. May was very responsive finalizing my quote and booking the move. Victor, leader of the team was well organized and tried to make the move efficient as I was moving from a 3rd floor walk up. When they got everything on the truck they told me the real price, NOT ACCEPTABLE. The final blow was they charged my credit card 3 times for the final payment. I must admit, I spent a LOT of time in the FIVE weeks that followed calling and leaving messages with your staff and on your machine. You did an AWESOME job of avoiding, dodging, and running from the responsibility of addressing me directly. This is POOR leadership. I spoke with your "Manager" Junior yesterday and he explained to me that during your "board meeting" that it was decided that you would go back on your word upon discovering my previous review where I "accused your team of stealing." I am so sad, Melissa, because now I've discovered that not only can you not lead, but you cannot READ either! Looking back on my review, there was NEVER an accusation made against your team!! Again, this makes me sad for you. Junior also highlighted that since you guys provide coverage for 60 cents per pound, we should have taken it. Great, this would mean that if valuable jewelry comes up missing, a person would stand to collect less than $1. Wow, you guys are really good at looking out for yourselves. This is the second time we have used XO for Bay Area moves. I have moved a lot in my career and they are by FAR the best movers I have ever worked with. The office staff (May & co) worked with us on a difficult moving schedule and bent over backwards to make it work. Victor, Greg, and crew called ahead to let us know they were on the way, showed up right on time, and got right to work. They are FAST and courteous and we could not be happier with our service We got the white glove service where they do all of the packing and bring all of the materials and even open the boxes at your destination and put the furniture back together. I found their prices to be very competitive - much less than companies who do full service moved like they do. They packed an entire 4 BR / 3.5 BA house in @ 4 hours. With a 40 mile drive and unloading, unpacking, and putting things back together they finished everything in one normal working days hours. No one took breaks no one was moving slow and they were extremely careful wrapping and taking care of our things. They were first class movers with exceptional efficiency and attention to detail. We had a complete move with many fragile (antique) items and they all were wrapped with care. This is the 4th time we've used XO for family or friends. Although, our move out in June could have been smoother with re-schedules and improper estimates, and damage caused to a door, our move in September out of storage into our new place was nearly flawless. Ashton and Melissa who head XO, did a great job working with us to ensure what happened in June wouldn't happen again. Nathan, our foreman for our last move was really good. Took care of us and made sure everything was put together and set in the right place in our apartment. We stored our belongings in their storage for 2.5 months. Originally they had told us it was $75/month for a vault and all our stuff would fit in 1. Only to find out 2 months later, they had to use 2 vaults, in turn charging us for 2 vaults($150/month). Tami worked with us, as well, and took care of some of the costs. All in all, I give them 4 stars since the initial move didn't go so well. Oh by the way, ask for May, Tami, Ashton or Melissa to help you out. Junior Silva has no business in this field and doesn't know how to serve his customers with integrity nor common sense. read more

We booked a very last minute move from Oakland to Stockton with Andrea, and she was fantastic. After reading some of the other reviews, we were concerned with the possibility of price fluctuation, so asked for guaranteed pricing. She spoke with her manager and got us a "not to exceed" guarantee on the number of hours to which we readily agreed. Our moving team, Victor, Ismael & Zacarias, were so quick & efficient, that they finished in even less than the guaranteed time, therefore, we shaved $200 from our final total. The kindness, professionalism & can-do attitude which all employees we encountered at XO Movers was a comfort during the stress of moving. (We really wanted to give them a 5*Star Rating, but they arrived 30 minutes after their 2-hour window.) read more

Horrible experience with XO Moving System. Moved cross country and they sent our stuff to the wrong house, then showed up extremely late, and hired help on Craig's List to unload the truck. The help did not know what they were doing, stained the rug, didn't put all furniture back together as agreed upon in the contract, left some furniture still wrapped up. They agreed to pay compensation but then avoided calls and emails and never paid up. DO NOT USE XO MOVING SYSTEM!!! read more

If you need timely service, i.e. have to get the job done by a certain time, this may not be the company for you. At my first attempt, the scheduled time was 12:30pm to 2pm, and the representative Andrea promised it will be closer to 1pm. This is what sold XO moving company to me. A couple of weeks fast forward, and the day of the move - to my biggest shock - 2:49pm, the movers had not shown up yet, so I called the company and someone told me they eill be at my building by 4:30pm/5pm. After I explicitly mentioned a few times, in a few different phone calls, the freight elevator is reserved for the time slot 1pm - 5pm, meaning by 5pm we have to be done with the move. Very frustrating experience! I had to call my landlord to request to stay at the apartment a few more days after my lease expired, as the freight elevator was booked for the next few days. I had to take another day off, for the new scheduled move, spend more money on the additional days spent at the old apartment, and deal with a lot of other cancelations/reschedulings as I had already set appointments for setting up cable, internet, etc at the new place and I wasn't going to be there. So, overall, NOT a experience I would recommend to anyone. P.S. I moved from SF to East Bay. read more

Avoid. On move out day, they were to show up between 5-7 PM. They showed up at 9 PM, blaming the previous customer who had not packed up her things prior to their arrival. They sent additional teams to help but still took a long time, and because they arrived so late, made noise that disturbed the neighbors. This was a long distance move, with them holding my things in storage for a a few weeks. When I was ready to move, they gave me a date they would arrive. The day before that date, they called to say they would be later than expected the next day. Then, on the move-in day, they called saying they couldn't be there that day and wouldn't make it until the next day. This left me having to sleep on the floor without any of my things. I complained, and they agreed to waive their fee for taking things upstairs to make up for it. When they finally arrived the next day, it was only a 2-man crew, and one of them was incredibly unprofessional. They again blamed the prior customer, saying she had more stuff than they expected, leading to the day-long delay. They waived the fee for the things that could fit in the elevator but told me their manager wouldn't let them waive the fee for bringing our couch up the stairs. The unprofessional crew member was slow and unmotivated. He ogled women in the building. It was going to take forever, so I ended up helping them move the things in, actually working significantly harder than the one crew member. One of our boxes was completely destroyed. They tried to rush things, not putting furniture back together as promised because they had to get to another job. This was an awful moving experience. read more

I am very happy of this company, the handling & customer service is very professional and efficient in their response to pick up and move my items. I want to specifically mentioned Victor & his crew who did a great job with packing and moving my boxes. Will use this movers again. I'm now waiting for my items to be delivered in Chicago on time and in one piece. Thank you XO Moving System. The only thing I give this 4 star is because of the payment method. We used XO Moving System for a previous move so three years later we decided to use them again. They were excellent! We had four guys--Alan, Felipe, Carlos & Marvin. They called ahead to let us know when they were arriving and they were really efficient! We were moving out of a three bedroom apartment and had accumulated a lot of stuff over the three years living there. They had the entire truck loaded in about 2 hours and quickly unloaded at our new location. They are also really friendly and easy going. Unbelievably bad. After using a moving company to move cross country from DC to SF a few years ago, my wife and I thought we knew what we were doing when we chose a moving company. We read reviews, received quotes, and talked to several representatives from various moving companies. Ultimately, we ended up going with XO Moving and we couldn't have been more wrong. When we first talked to the XO sales rep we detailed our goods and he came up with a quote for our move to Denver. He did tell us that there was a window for delivery (measured by business days), which is understandable given the complexity of interstate moves. However, he added that there are tons of people moving from NoCal to Denver and they send trucks out there all the time so it would probably be much shorter than the estimated delivery window. Maybe I'm a sucker, but this sounded pretty good to me. My wife is due with our first child in September and we were a bit nervous about making a moving a month before the delivery date. I'll hand it to him, it was a great sales tactic. We booked with XO Moving...haha. Fast forward to our move out date. The movers were prompt, polite, and moved us out of our apartment in a timely manner. When they were done moving they did an estimate of what they thought our goods weighed. It was almost double what we were quoted, which would have been over $2K than our original quote. They gave us the option of locking in our move at the new estimated weight or rolling the dice and calculating the cost of the move on the actual weight of our goods. We rolled the dice and won because our previous movers supplied us with the weight of our goods and the final weight XO supplied us was only 100 lbs over what we estimated. We called on our earliest estimated delivery date and XO Moving did not instill confidence in them from the beginning. They told us they couldn't find our job number but they were pretty sure there wasn't a status update. Thanks! Extremely helpful. Not surprisingly, we called back quite often to check the status of our move and received unhelpful and misleading responses every time. We were told that we would receive a call back once they spoke to the dispatcher and call us back to inform us of the status of our move. Then we would not receive a call back about the delivery (this happened multiple times). We've been told our stuff is being put on the truck tomorrow only to be called back and said that has been moved back a couple of days. We are now well past the 14 business day window that was contracted, but have received no apologies from XO, and certainly no priority treatment. Most recently XO Moving left us a voicemail on Friday (August 28th) saying that our goods were definitely on the truck and would be delivered on Monday (August 31st). He assured us he would call us on Saturday to confirm a window of delivery for Monday. Unsurprisingly, this call never came. Now it is Sunday evening and I just received a voicemail that our delivery will occur Tuesday. Perfect! I'll just take the next couple of weeks off work to wait for the movers to come. Seriously. This company is the worst. read more

Xo moving system did a wonderful job with my move today. Allan and 2 other workers arrived on time and thoroughly explained all the work and charges. They worked really fast considering that had to move my belongings from a 3rd floor apt with no elevators. Came across with a little bit of misunderstanding but Juan spoke to me on the phone right away and fixed the problem. The XO moving company was amazing. It made moving a pleasure! There was great communication prior to the move getting it set up and getting a very competitive bid with May. Then when the day of the move came, we were blown away at how Victor, Dennis, Yovani, and Manuel worked quickly as a team and so efficiently moved everything. If you are planning to use a long distance moving, please don't use these guys. I have use these guys for interstate moving and I am still waiting for my delivery past 14 days and it seems the shipment has not even left the storage at the origin. Everytime you call, the customer service person has no idea of where the goods are or cannot get hold of their own despatch team to get some information. Initially they said the goods has left origin and should be in destination within a week but after a week the goods did not arrive and when called they said it may take another week. Please stay away from Xo moving systems AKA California Movers. read more
