I feel really bad about this but basically I was first just concerned that they sent a middle-aged and elderly man. The last movers I used had a steeper rate... but they were both pretty young. I don't want to be ageist but that kind of matters for this line of work. They're cheaper than most but I didn't consider how strength capacity would impact the overall cost. So when they took like 11 hours to move my 2bd ground floor apartment into a 7x16 storage unit, I was a little confused. But whatever. Then I sat on it and decided to spring for another company that cost more.. but they did finish everything in half the time (even with having to carry things up multiple stairs - something Mr Palm Moving Co men didn't have to do). The only problem is, we realized that Mr Palm Moving Co literally misplaced a whole couch cushion. That kind of pisses me off more. Bc on top of paying over a grand to move once, now I have to figure out how to replace a couch cushion. Or the couch. I would have reported it sooner, but what was supposed to be a 2 week stay in storage ended up being 3 months so yeah i doubt they'll report a cushion in their truck or help me cover the cost. Ugh The good things are they are really nice and they worked really hard. They wrapped everything in plastic wrap and sold me some boxes and included some on the house. Just... they take twice as long as other movers. So if you don't have heavy things or it's a smaller job, their lower rates are worth it? read more

Setting up the appointment was easy and efficient. On the move day, the two movers arrived right on time and executed the move from both places with expertise and efficiency. The movers were very professional, arrived on time, and super efficient! We moved from Nopa to Cow Hollow, so it was within the city and not a far drive. They wrapped our tv, took apart the couch and dining table, disassembled the bed, and moved the entertainment console + all our boxes/bags to our new place in 3 hours. We paid in cash which was a slightly cheaper rate than paying by card and the estimate that Phoebe gave us was exactly correct. Mr. Palm Moving Company was excellent! I was so impressed with the company from start to finish. They were great with communication both on Yelp messenger and on the phone. They were able to scheduled an appointment to move my furniture within 2 weeks of the move. They were flexible and were able to accommodate to my schedule as well. Finally, they had great rates and no hidden fees-- just an hourly rate and a truck fee. I hired three movers and they were very punctual, early to the appointment in fact! They wore masks and worked efficiently but carefully, wrapping furniture with plastic and blankets. They were able to handle my large dining table and king size bed with care. And they were great at setting up my items in the new location with taking my direction. I dont think they are in business anymore. I booked their service a few months back and had them put my things into storage. They charge a rental fee to use their wardrobe boxes and would reimburse when they moved me into my apartment. I have left 2 voice mail messages and a text to try and schedule the move. We used Mr. Palm for a move from a 1 bed in Oakland to 2 bed in SF. We used 3 movers and one truck as suggested by Phoebe. While the estimated timeline she gave was a little off (probably mostly due to me possibly underselling how much stuff needed to be moved), everything was great. They had all the supplies needed and worked hard all day. They are really kind people and were careful with everything as we transferred it. I have a lot of plants and fragile pottery and none of it was harmed in the move. Pricing was great, and I'm happy to support a local (family-run?) business. The movers were wonderful. Only issue is the top of a lamp disappeared and language barrier. They didn't understand that we needed the mirror on the back of the dresser to have enough space to be able to move the glass on top. Now it's stuck. This company is not capable of any moves over 500SF I would advise looking elsewhere. They are non insured and a non licensed moving company. They do not provide a bill of landing for your items as I had to learn this the hard way with out move from a 2 bedroom apartment that they could be barley handle. I went over with Phoebe the amount of items that were going to be moved and made it very clear that they are going to need to pack for us as well. The crew of 2 brought 5 new boxes and then 4 used boxes!!! 7 wardrobe boxes. I also had to provide them my power tools so they could take apart the furniture, they came with 1 ratchet screwdriver. My Dad and I had to do the majority of the packing as they didn't bring the necessary materials for us to pack or were they able to pack as I went over with them. the move took 2 days as they ran out of room in their truck not packing it efficiently. They damaged beyond repair out dresser and our custom nursing chair. When I explained what happen to their crew they got very defensive as if what happened was my fault when they are the ones that put our dresser upside down on they hand truck and went down 24 sets of stairs with it. There has been no claim paperwork mailed to me when Phoebe claims they sent it, it has been over 2 months and nothing. If you want to have your items taking care of professional and knowing your are using a licensed and insured company look elsewhere. read more

Went with these guys based on price and Yelp reviews - not that many, but they were all great - add one more! Took 2 guys 4 hours and a truck fee to move a large 1 bedroom worth of stuff from a storage unit to a 2 story home. I had 2 younger lads show up and was a little worried, but these guys DELIVERED. Given, everything was boxed and wrapped and ready to go, but they moved everything very quickly and used elevators and dollies really efficiently. They were courteous and easy going, but hard working. I was surprised how strong they were haha. They lifted a heavy dresser, 60" TV, couch, no problem. The agent on the phone was also very accommodating and responsive, which was great because I had to change my delivery date last minute and was also 30 minutes late to the departure address, but was able to get in contact with the movers and get them started. Mr Palm Moving really did the amazing job!!!! They are fully licensed and insured. I talked with Phoebe on the phone to confirm the details about my move, she is really patient and nice! Movers arrived 10 mins earlier and called me. They double checked with me about my items that need to be moved and started to work fast. They disassembled my bed in couple mins. That's really shocked me( cuz it took more than an hour to assemble it when I bought it)!!!! Really professional!! All my large furniture ( sofa, mattress, dining tables, etc) were protected with the plastic wraps and blankets. They also brought some wardrobes for my clothes and didn't charge for that. My movers (Summer and Vincent) are professional and nice. They finished packing, loading, driving, unloading and some disassembly/reassembly job for my 1b apartment in 5 hours. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS! I have over 20 times, growing up in a military family and serving in the Air Force, and this was by far the worst. I did not have much stuff as I just needed the furniture that was too large to fit in my truck moved. I agreed to pay for 2 movers ($110/hr), they showed up with 3 and none of them could clearly communicate in English. They were not only careless with my things they were also slow and took a long time to load (50 minutes). The drive was 43 miles with no traffic, I googled the route and it said it was only 47 minutes they took an over an hour and 10 minutes. One they arrived They took a long time waiting for the elevator instead of staging my stuff outside of it and making less trips. It still only took them 30 minutes to unload everything. So they only worked for an hour and 20 minutes at both the pick up and drop off locations combined and the "double drive time" should have be at MOST 50 minutes x 2 which is an hour and 40 minutes, they said since they brought 3 movers and stopped for 20 minutes on the way that I owed them $150/hr for 4 hours or "work" plus $90 for the truck. They tried to charge me $690 for a job that should have been $420. They are unprofessional thieves that over charged me $270. I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. read more
