I had previously used Xpress Automotive for multiple repairs and had generally good experiences, which is why I trusted them when I brought in my 2016 Ford F-150 for a vibration/scratching/slipping issue. On October 6, 2025, I authorized their recommended repair and paid about $2,800. After picking up the truck, the same issue was still present. I brought it back, and at that point I was told I needed a full transmission replacement for approximately $6,900. Given that I had just paid for a repair that didn't fix the problem, I decided to get a second opinion before moving forward. I had the truck inspected by both a Ford dealership and another repair shop. Both indicated it was not a transmission issue, and the second shop identified problems with parts that had recently been installed, including visible damage. I ended up paying again to have the issue properly fixed elsewhere. I went through my credit card dispute process, and after reviewing documentation from both sides, the charge from Xpress Automotive was credited back to me. The situation escalated further when the business filed a lawsuit against me, which was ultimately dismissed in court. This was a very time-consuming and frustrating experience that involved additional repair costs, rental cars, and time away from work. Based on this experience, I will not return and would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any major repairs. read more

Have gone to this shop for a few years with no issues. Currently need a compressor for my car. The markup price is unreasonable. The part cost is double the actual cost. Owner would not provide invoice and must pay cash(not debit) if I bring the part. I understand about business markup, but this was unreasonable. Unfortunate as local business. There is a hidden gem of a car service center located in Ahwatukee Foothills at 15629 South Desert Foothills Parkway called Xpress Automotive. It is owned and operated by a wonderful gentleman named Wassek El-rabaa. 480-460-2400. I am 77 and live in the Foothills Club West area. Yesterday I was at a barbershop in the Safeway Shopping Center at the corner of Desert Foothills and Chandler Blvd. when the battery in my Toyota Highlander died. I had remembered hearing from neighbors about Express Automotive and walked across Chandler Blvd to find it. I introduced myself to Wassek and explained my predicament. He proceeded to take me back over to the Shopping Center where he jumped started the battery. I returned to his shop with my car and he confirmed the battery was definitely dead. While I was waiting for his tech to replace the battery I observed a number of obviously very satisfied repeat customers showing up for service. They all were warmly greeted. After this experience Express Automotive is going to be my full service car center going forward. I would highly recommend that if you live in the Foothills ClubWest area you check them out. Be Warned! Please Read. The following is my opinion and most possible accurate statement of my experience. It is my opinion to stay clear of this shop! I felt his diagnostics are a mere facade, from what I could tell involving nothing more than scanning codes that you can get done for free at any auto parts... And yet, he charges sky-high prices for parts and labor. He charged me $389.99 for a mass air flow sensor that costs $120 at the dealership--and you can bet he's getting it for well under $100! And for a 5 or 10 -minute installation, a whopping $200 labor charge? I feel that is overcharging and outright theft. The peak of this horrendous experience? After racking up a bill close to $2400 Wassek called me to claim the car was fully fixed and running perfectly. Yet, when I turned on the ignition, all the previous issues were glaring back at me, unchanged and unresolved. He then had the audacity to suggest a turbocharger replacement for an exorbitant $2700, pretending to offer it at a "cost" price. I found another mechanic that would install it for $400 and my cost of the part was around $570. I then took my car to this mechanic who, without even being asked, identified the real issue--a $150 tube! Just like that, my car was fixed, proving that Wassek's repairs were nothing but a sham. Do you know how I'm certain this wasn't just bad luck, aside from the astronomical prices and inadequate repairs? After confronting Wassek about the inadequate repairs, he nervously refunded me $600 but only under the condition that I sign a document promising not to take him to small claims court. He knew all too well that he would likely lose if the case were scrutinized by a judge, and the full extent of his deceitful practices would come to light. This action alone speaks volumes about his lack of integrity and dishonest business practices. Be warned: If you still decide to risk this shop, demand a detailed printout of his estimated charges and get a second opinion from another mechanic. Or better yet, just steer clear! Moving forward, I am filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies to ensure no one else falls prey to this deceptive mechanic. Consider yourself warned: Do not let him anywhere near your car or wallet! read more

I had a bad oil leak in my bmwX6 and I did not want to go back to the dealership because I had already spent over 50,000 dollars on repairs and maintenance. I found Wassek online and I went to go get a quote. Wassek generously told me that the engine needed repair and I trusted him to take care of my car. Ladies and gentlemen do NOT take your car to Xpress Automotive!!! I took my Forester here for an oil change and they told me I needed a new oil drain plug or my car would leak oil. I said go ahead replace the plug. In a few days my car was leaking oil all over my garage. I was also told at check out by the owner that I would need new brakes upon my next visit/oil change. I wasted $120 total at Xpress Automotive for poor service and to be lied to. I took my car to the Dealership due to the oil leak and was told I DO NOT need new brakes. And Xpress Automotive put a new drain plug in which should include a WASHER and a BOLT. Xpress Automotive DID NOT install the WASHER. I paid $80 at the dealership for another oil change and a new drain plug, as well as to find our my Local Awatukee shop is dishonest, over priced and lousy mechanics. Xpress Automotive is the shop you are warned about. They take advantage of women lying to them about future needs like brakes and likely all their customers. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO XPRESS AUTOMOTIVE. read more

I started taking both of my cars here - a Nissan 370Z, and a Nissan Juke. So far I've used him for oil changes, tint, and a couple of new tires. This isn't a big chain or anything like that. Wassek is the guy who runs it, and he seems to really care about his customers, and understand the importance of good service and knowing what's going on. He offers a variety of services, like I said, so I think you could pretty much bring your car here for whatever you want - routine stuff, or fancier things. The most important thing I look for in a mechanic is somebody who I don't think is going to try and screw me, and while that's not always an easy thing to determine, Wassek is always to-the-point, and seems like an honest fellow. He could have tried to sell me 4 tires when I needed 2 new ones, and he didn't. He's never tried to upsell me on anything. I appreciate that - just keep me on the road, man, you know? The second most important thing to me is communication - specifically around timelines. Some mechanics will be like, "Hey I'll call you when it's ready" which is a load of crap. Wassek said my oil change would be fast, and I was in and out of there in like, 15 minutes. Nice. He said he'd order the tires, and have them installed by like, 1 or something, and he gave me a call before 1 and let me know it was done and to come pick them up. Stuff like that makes it so I can keep living my life while my car is being worked on and I don't have to put everything on hold while I wait. The waiting area is nice and clean and cool, and he's got wifi, and a camera setup so you can kind of watch them while they work on the cars. This place is also near a bunch of stores, so if you wanted to walk across the street to McDonalds or some fancy hippy cafe while you wait, that'd be easy. I'll be going back. read more
