Booked an xpress manicure online. Arrived 5 minutes before appointment time. Waited in line while the person ahead of me checked out. The technician walked away, I stepped up to the desk. A few moments later she yelled across the salon "do you need something?" to which I responded that I had booked an appointment. She waved me to sit in a chair for a moment. There were 2 technicians actively working with clients, but 2 other technicians who were engaged in a personal conversation at the area where they would complete manicure services. I waited for a full 15 minutes, and no one even came to ask for my name. At 10 minutes after my appointment time for a 25 minute service, I exited. Disappointed to not get my service, but with no sense of urgency before the appointment had even begun, I did not feel comfortable continuing to wait and risk rushing for my connecting flight. The space was very calming and welcoming, and appeared clean with evidence of cleaning between clients. This is the only reason for more than a 1 star review. read more

This is for the Xpress at DFW in Concourse A. I have been having leg and foot pain due to international travel and returned to ask about booking a Zero Gravity Chair, after the employee told me at 8pm to return at 9pm. At 9pm he said they were booked solid as some people waited on site for an hour for their chance (none were visible.) I think he was not being truthful and had a prejudice against me. I will be letting everyone know these guys are not customer focused. I'd give them negative stars if possible. read more

Purchased the first class pedicure ($70 USD), in my experience and opinion- this was a $20 pedi at best. Was placed in a massage chair that was peeling and stained then told to soak my feet in a bucket of cold water. The nail technician Jennifer was obviously inexperienced but was doing her best to be thorough and accommodating. The store supervisor interrupted my technician at least three times during my service to have her check out other customers and to scold her for spilling water from the foot soak bucket. I hope the young nail tech finds a new job as she shouldn't be stuck with an employer that berates and belittles her in front of customers. I hope other travelers find a different spa experience in another terminal. read more

It's pricey, I chose a 20 minute foot massage for $50, but I definitely enjoyed the pampering, and rested in my reclined massage chair for another 30 minutes. I had a long layover so I decided to stop by because I was way over due for a mani pedi. Had to wait 45 minutes which was fine because I got placed in a nice massage chair. However, I then received legitimately the worst mani-pedi of my life. I had gel on my nails and they didn't have a nail drill to get it off so she had to hand file it off. She was rough, my nails were shaped and painted unevenly. There was also a limited supply of nail colors available. Staff was nice but the salon had limited supplies which made it hard for her to do her job. Will not be returning and would not recommend. read more

My plane from B terminal was delayed and because of long wait there, the lady told me to go to A terminal. Upon arriving I was told no more that 10 minute wait for an hour massage. After waiting for 28 minutes with no comment from staff, I said I had to leave to go back for flight. I noticed three employees standing in the back doing nothing. Guess they're not concerned about customer service. When I said I was leaving, the one guy who was doing a massage, said, "Okay, goodbye". Stay away. It's so convenient to be able to get a pedicure in between flights! Too often I run out of time to go to the nail salon before a trip... I was excited to see my flight left out of D25, just 3 gates away from this mini salon. Tracy was the BEST! So friendly, funny, and made my toes shiny as ever. She is WONDERFUL! I knocked off a star because, like everything at an airport, the prices are a little inflated. It's to be expected, sure, but that makes this pedicure "four star" to me. I had a fantastic foot massage here this weekend during my 2 hour layover between La Guardia and Phx in Terminal A. I had walked past it earlier and didn't think they had foot massages but a closer look of their menu showed they did. Prices varied on the amount of time and were pretty up there (30min cost me $55, minus 1 star), but, hell, my feet were so weary from walking Manhattan for 5 days, I just didn't care. The gal I had was super sweet and friendly and did mild chit-chat with me until I closed my eyes and she just continued to work away.. I was seated in a massage recliner which worked wonders on my back and neck while she worked on my feet. She used a hot towel, then plenty of lotion and would inquire if pressure was good every so often...I asked her to work certain muscles on my calves which she did perfectly. I was sooooo relaxed here. Great massage, friendly staff, relaxing music (you forget you're in a very busy airport) and a true treat - would recommend! read more

Update from customer service: They called me to apologize. Yeah, in this world today, sexually molesting someone isn't gonna be fixed with an apology. You guys are disgusting, & this is how the "me too" movement started, no one cares to acknowledge & to hold the right people accountable!!! I have already written a letter to corporate and no response. I have been to XpresSpa maybe 45 times since I travel to SFO back to DFW so much. Never has someone gone under my clothing for a neck massage. When the male who was working on me gave me a 15 minute neck/back massage and went under my two layers of clothing and reached down my back I thought okay, this is new? Every massage therapist has ALWAYS massaged outside of my clothing. He then reached under my bra strap that went across my back. And I asked him to stay above my bra because I was uncomfortable. It happened 3 more times. And he went near the side of my boobs!!!! My anxiety started building up and I just JUMPED UP &&& told him to STOP right now and starting crying. Told the manager and no one empathized or explained when I asked if this was a new massage method as it had never happened to me before. I got nothing. I will never go to this place again. I have not only been to Xpresspa 45 times, weekly I get massages. Massage therapist policies ALWAYS include asking if the client is comfortable, or if the pressure is okay. Or if they can reach somewhere .. Absolutely horrified by my experience that day. Looking to pursue this further. Just visited my second XpresSpa, first in SFO, now in DFW. In both cases, I seriously question the screening process they use to hire massage therapists here...no consistency in experience and I did not get any relief from my symptoms, the therapists seem to be grossly undertrained. I regularly get massages from other airport vendors and this company is far inferior in the people they hire, and they are much more expensive. Wish they would raise their standards in both hiring qualifications and consistent training/ QA standards once hired. read more

Went back per direction and got the Heisman (sorry...we made a mistake). Basically told me to forget it and go pound sand. I understand at some level (mistakes happen)...but you'd think they would float you a gift certificate / coupon or something to incent me to come back. Had a 3 hour layover and decided to give it a shot. Locations at A an D terminals. Decided to go to D terminal because it always seems quieter. Went with a neck and shoulder for 20 minutes. Just enough time to make me forget I was in an airport. John was pretty good at applying deep pressure. However, it just made me wish I could see my regular MT back home. Minus stars for price (PRICEY!) and noise (I was more bothered by the staff's conversations than I was bothered by the noise from travelers). If I have another long layover, aching/sore muscles, and I had the funds...I would consider coming back. read more

This review is for the location in Terminal A Surprisingly good chair massage. I was super sore and tense after my flight from BDL to DFW in my back and shoulders. They were very friendly when we got there - though it did take a little while to get noticed because everyone was with a customer - and invited us to sit in the massage chairs while we were waiting for the therapists to finish with the previous customer. I got an awesome 15 min chair massage from Jeff (Jeffrey?). It's not cheap at $35 but the relief lasted through my second flight. He did lots of good shoulder and neck stretches for me after the kneading. My husband got a foot massage, because he's tall with long legs that get crushed by the seat in front on most airplanes. He had a blissful smile on his face afterwards. They also let us sit in the massage chairs afterwards before we had to head to our gate. When you pay at the end they do try upsell you on products from the little store, but it's not overly pushy. I really love the idea of having spa services at the airport. Sometimes you have time to kill and traveling can be stressful if not physically uncomfortable. I travel fairly often so I signed up for their membership program, which offers a few perks for frequent visits. read more

She provided me with the best customer experience I've ever had an airport!! She had a big friendly smile, professional demeanor and - after the session was over- took time to share w me recommendations re where to eat and how to find my gate. The MT was very professional, and did a good job with working out the basic knots. They were effective in getting people in and out. The downside was that they were charging in excess of $2 per minute, which boarders on robbery. The fact that we were a total captive audience, and AA were being their normal delayed airways made this the perfect although expensive get away. read more

Update: I was contacted about my experience and the corporate customer service office was very concerned about the level of service and quality. They assured me that it was not the typical experience and made me feel better about possibly going there again. I would give them another shot if I was in a pinch and I'm comfortable knowing that if the experience is as bad the next time, I have a direct contact to speak with now. Zachariah is a miracle worker. He is so kind and intuitive. I had a really knotty, tensed up back and he worked on it and coached me through releasing the blockages. I ended up crying, which was ultimately an amazing emotional release along with the physical one, although I felt a little awkward. But he really held space for me in a calm, accepting way. Just had an excellent experience with Selena at Express spa. I got the mid level pedicure and sat back and enjoyed the massage chairs. Best layover I've had in a while. The prices reflect the location (captive audience in an airport), and there is a bit of background noise from the terminal. Other than those two things, it couldn't have been better. read more

I was able to walk in and get a massage within 10 minutes. My therapist was very knowledgeable about what connects to what else, and attacked the knot in my back from the front. Since it's not really a full service salon and they cater more to massages and quick pop ins, there was about a 15 minute wait even though I was the only client waiting. When my nail tech started on me, she was friendly enough to my liking. Once again, it is not a full service salon; so they don't have the standard pedicure chairs and they bring out the water in a large foot basin. It looked clean but I didn't see the sanitation process. However, they did use new tools when manicuring my nails and feet. I requested the xpress mani/pedi so it wasn't the detailed pampering I'm used to but it got the job done.
