I read reviews on yelp and thought I'll give them a chance anyway but it turns out most of what I read were correct. Then I found Saratoga Dental and since then I have been very happy. They were mindful of my financial situation and didn't push me to do any operation I wasn't comfortable with. As other reviewers have noted, Fran is a sweetheart and makes you feel very welcome as soon as you step into the office. Dr. Lew did a fantastic job making sure I was comfortable by explaining the steps he was taking during the operation. Give Saratoga Dental a look if you are in the market, I'm sure Fran will have you feeling like family before you exit the office!

His facility is clean and he always has the latest equipment. They listen to what you say as well. For e.g., I really don't like taking x-rays and I have never felt pushed to do so. But when it really is time to do so in order to provide the best care, they let me know that it's time. The office switched to text notifications a few years back and there were sending excessive, in my view, text messages. I provided that feedback and I noticed this time that I received far less. Adam used to be my hygienist before he retired far too early, again in my opinion and he was so great. But Barbara, who takes care of my teeth now, is good as well. Dr. Fong does tend to get booked up quickly so if you have to cancel last minute and want to reschedule, it might not be possible. I love that they have a work life balance as well, the office is closed on Friday! The receptionist can be a bit stiff at times. There is plenty of parking. All is all, a great doctor with very good staff.

What I really appreciate was the time they took to explain and show me everything in detail and do over the different options as well as what they recommeded and why. I always appreciate when doctors take the time to explain things because then I am able to learn and better take care of my health the more I am educated and equipped with helpful knowledge. It made me feel confident I was in good hands after struggling to find the care I needed. They take the time to personally follow up with you by phone and text after a procedure to make sure I was not experiencing any pain or discomfort. Dr. Ban had even made extra time to see me during her lunch break so that I could get my get part 2 of my root canal finished before the weekend. Both doctors are very warm and friendly, as well as the office staff who recognize and greet you by name when you walk in. The office seems very clean and modern/up to date compared to previous offices I have been in. It's such a huge blessing and relief to have found a new dental practice I feel confident sticking with for all my future dental care.

I am done with being taken advantage of and not receiving the proper treatment. What made me change my rating and review of this place? My crown, which I've only had for almost 4 years, has fallen off TWO times within six months. When it fell out the 2nd time, not only did Dr. A create a hole in my crown while she was cleaning it, but it also fell out again two days later after she "temporarily cemented" back on again. Each time it fell out, I was expected to pay for cementing it on again. If the crown was cemented on property in the first place, it should not be falling out. Crowns are supposed to last for MANY years, and for a crown to fall out within 4 years is ridiculous. I also had to wait 1.5 weeks to get an appointment after my crown fell off the 2nd time. You would think that for an emergency like this, they would accommodate a time that works for the patient ASAP to fix the problem. Each time my crown has fallen out, Dr. A would accuse me for eating sticky and/or hard foods and grinding my teeth. Both are not true-- I know my diet, and as for the grinding, my partner and I would know that that were the case. When I come in for cleanings, I would also get accused for chewing on pencils (excuse me? I have NEVER chewed on pencils or pens before). Every time I come in, I experience pain, discomfort, and accusations. The dentist and whoever the assistant happens to be in the time being (she has a high turnover for assistants) are not very compassionate people-- they don't prioritize how their patients are feeling. They never check with me if I'm feeling okay or anything. The crown situation is the last straw for me, and I feel like now I can be completely honest right now since I am now leaving and taking my business elsewhere. The best part of this business is the kind, responsive secretary, Veronica. *Note: I am now with a new dentist for 2 or so years now, and the new crown that I got has never fallen out since. I also have not experienced any of the discomfort that I thought was normal to have when I was with Argonaut Dental.

It was done fairly quick. she used almost entirely sonic cleaning with barely any manual scaling. My teeth did not feel fully clean afterward, and I can still feel calculus between them when I floss. A brand-new hygienist who had just started handled my X-rays. For me, a practice's ability to retain its team says a lot about how it's run. Seeing all the previous employees leave and that she doesn't have enough staff (?) to do our cleaning make me wonder about their retention and overall management.

First off, since this is Covid season, a lot of people who are concerned about aerosols can be at ease here. I had an appointment this week, and they have their safety protocols in place and well-organized! You sign a Covid consent form before arriving, call or text before being let it, and they take your temp when you enter. The hygiene and assistant are donned with PPE from head to toe quite literally. The chair is wrapped in plastic, and the operatory is equipped with filters to suck the air during the procedure. At the end of the visit, they rewrap the chair and wipe everything down. Seems like lots of extra work for everyone, but I definitely felt safe. Ok, on to the rest of the review... The practice is small with one doctor, one assistant, one hygienist, and one office manager who is also the receptionist. The staff is always very pleasant. Upon entering, you will be greeted with a warm and friendly hello by Desiree, the office manager. Don't be surprised if you get caught up in a conversation with her because she's that approachable and easy to talk to. Well, the whole office is, really. The assistant is also very friendly and gentle when taking x-rays. That is important to me because I have a major gag reflex. With the new digital x-rays, the "film" is even bigger. Alba handles it very well. So, I appreciate that very much!!! Also, nice that I haven't had to retake x-rays because the assistant didn't take it right the first time. The hygienist, Mina, is also excellent at what she does and is so, so gentle on the gums. I've had deep cleanings with her without anesthesia, and I didn't cry from the pain. She's also a dental hygiene instructor, so she's very knowledgeable! Dr. Watkins has only so far done my exam after cleanings, and my encounters with him have been brief but pleasant as well. I'm also glad that he doesn't cheat his patients like I've heard from other offices. Good ethics are practiced here! I definitely, highly recommend coming here!

Needless to say, she is exceptional at her job, my teeth have been strong with great guidance and without cavities. Dr. Wynn has seen me grow up from a toddler to now a 20 year old college student. Was a DeltaCare USA Medicare patient for the last 2 years: * did gingevectomy on all 4 sides, $166 each * did 6 crowns at $150 + 533 each (the impression and the crown itself), for three of them had to do lengthening for $400 each, * did 11 fillings (twice on one of the teeth, asked why and got a lame excuse) at $85 to $108 each * did many cleanings, including "deep" cleaning, with laser and more, as recommended by the doctor - total paid more than $8000 - this is not a small amount, but hopefully my mouth is all done and I can return to routine cleanings and be done. yes? no! The doctor decided she would not work with DeltaCare USA Medicare anymore, and they did not even call to cancel the appointment and notify us. Bottom line: Office looked dated. There is a wheelchair ramp, not very safe but servicable. Doctor leaves all explanations to the office lady, which seems a bit crude IMO. Had a nagging feeling that she is over-treating, but could not really verify as I am not qualified... (took x-ray for second opinion and got a vague "it is probably OK" answer) There are better options out there, and anyway she would not accept my insurance anymore so it is a moot point.
