Dr. Sepi was usually gentle. But... Was a DeltaCare USA Medicare patient for the last 2 years: * did gingevectomy on all 4 sides, $166 each * did 6 crowns at $150 + 533 each (the impression and the crown itself), for three of them had to do lengthening for $400 each, * did 11 fillings (twice on one of the teeth, asked why and got a lame excuse) at $85 to $108 each * did many cleanings, including "deep" cleaning, with laser and more, as recommended by the doctor - total paid more than $8000 - this is not a small amount, but hopefully my mouth is all done and I can return to routine cleanings and be done. yes? no! The doctor decided she would not work with DeltaCare USA Medicare anymore, and they did not even call to cancel the appointment and notify us. Bottom line: Office looked dated. There is a wheelchair ramp, not very safe but servicable. Doctor leaves all explanations to the office lady, which seems a bit crude IMO. Had a nagging feeling that she is over-treating, but could not really verify as I am not qualified... (took x-ray for second opinion and got a vague "it is probably OK" answer) There are better options out there, and anyway she would not accept my insurance anymore so it is a moot point. read more

This dentist would not do my basic preventative care (cleanings, checkups) unless I spent over $1,200 on "resin composite" treatments. I was told it was not worth the dentist's time otherwise. When I asked for a second opinion from a different dentist, I was told that this work was completely unnecessary. read more

Dr. Sepi is an excellent dentist and TMJ specialist. I've been her patient now for over 25 years continuing to drive to Saratoga from Pleasanton because my jaw is stabilized and remains stabilized under her care. She has also cared for my gums, receding from the TMJ impact, so that I have all my teeth and healthy gums. I am blessed to have her as my doctor. I highly recommend her. read more

I really hate to write this review. My family has been seeing her for about ten years. But I am moved to warn others of her office practices. First of all Dr Pejham is an extremely skillful dentist. Her work is outstanding. She's very attentive to your needs, and responsive. This review is about her office and billing practices. We are have Anthem DHMO, so your experience might be different if you have PPO insurance. At the end of every session, a "treatment plan" is added to end of your bill, which you must sign for some reason. My family never reads this part, and always agrees. Many many times, she has recommended treatments, such as laser gum treatments ($600), antibiotic washes ($75), antibiotic gum treatments ($500), laser detox, tooth brighteners ($600). None of these are covered services. In some cases, the treatments aren't even approved by the ADA. Many for these non covered treatments were ineffectual. Our DHMO promises 2 free cleanings per year. I never received any free cleanings. Nor did my family members. Unfortunately, her office massively up sells at every opportunity. If you read dental yelp reviews, you will see this a persistent problem with dentists in Silicon Valley. If you have a lot of money, or a PPO, then Dr. Pejham would be a very good choice. But watch your bill and treatment plan for massive up selling and hidden and deceptive charges for each of your family members. Also be aware of her cancellation policy. You cannot cancel by voice mail. Say what? We all finally had enough when my wife came home with a $1200 treatment plan for treatments she had before and didn't work. DO NOT GO HERE! My family has used her for years. We always thought she was a bit expensive, but thorough. I had to see another dentist because she wasn't available. She had a long list of procedures I neede to have done. Money was tight so I thought I'd do them little by little. Come to find out at my new dentist, all the procedures she said I needed were COMPLETLY false! So I went to see her for two cavaties she'd been bugging me about. I knew I didn't have 2 cavaties, because of my new dentist. She proceeded to get me num. I asked have the cavaties grown? She said yes, they're very big. I then pulled out my x rays from my new dentist. I told her I don't have any cavaties to fill. She got very offended, said I needed to fillings replaced! We never talked about replacing any fillings. She absolutely lied, I caught her trying to cheat me. EVERYTIME I WENT INTO HER OFFICE SHE CHARGED ME ALMOST DOUBLE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. ID SIGN A TREATMENT PLAN, BUT THERE WAS ALWAYS AT LEAST 3 hundred dollars worth of procedures she didn't expect!! I feel so stupid, I let her cheat me for years. No one can afford that, but my 76 year old mom really can't. Dr. Sephie milked my mom out of thousands of dollars. I know this because I was always with her. She filled 4 teeth in the front on the bottom, charged her a fortune. Then said the reason they turned black was because the teeth really needed root canals. She would never have spent $1200 on fillings had she been told by dr sephie she really needed root canals to save the teeth. If I have my way, she'll be out of business by the end of the year. I'm demanding she give my family back ANY MONEY WE PAID HER. we trusted her and she ended up being the biggest crook we've ever come across. I'm reporting her to the dentist board. If she refuses to reimburse my family, my brother in law is a state attorney. My sister in law does medical malpractice, I won't stop til I've been repaid for every ???? procedure she recommended. It's my goal to make sure she never cheats another person. I can only hope that her patients see this review and report her to the board. BTW- her employees play along with her. So when I take her down, I'll take them all down. Her receptionist knows what dr. Sephie is doing, but I don't think she likes it. She may be the person to put an end of all of this. I had the worst dental experience ever, and I've had a new dentist every time I moved, so that's quite a lot. Each staff had her faults. I can't believe the rave reviews about her staff being gentle ! The X-ray tech couldn't get the films out of my mouth fast enough. She practically yanked them out ! Then the tech who did the cleaning did a partial cleaning before she began poking around each tooth without explaining what she was doing or giving me a choice to stop her. My gums hurt into the night from her poking them. She seemed intent on the poking which later turned the dentist telling me I had all kinds of problems that would run thousands of dollars to treat. A friend referred me to Dr. Pejham. I heard wonderful things about her but wanted to see for myself. I hoped that Dr. Pejham would be different than the large dental practices that I had been to in the past where the dentists seem to change every two weeks and nobody is really interested in the patients. Thankfully, I discovered an amazing dentist!!! Dr. Pejham spent a significant amount of time examining me, and she explained all the procedures and treatments I needed when she present me with the treatment plan. She photographed and showed me the problems I was having that prompted the my initial visit. Unlike some dentists, Dr. Pejham is gentle and thorough. My gums did not hurt after treatment and there was no bleeding. I discovered a wonderful dentist and can say that she embodies all the wonderful things I heard about her. I've been to her several times, and all my treatments have been thorough and helpful. I strongly recommend Dr. Pejham to people that want the best in dental care. read more

Been going to Dr. Sepideh office for about four years now, she's terrific at her work. Dr.Sepideh is very kind, welcoming, and attentive when sitting in the chair to get work done. She is very organized and also does her best to explain procedures that you may need. I recommend her for teeth cleanings, fillings, implants and etc.... She takes her time with each client, never had half fast work done. Tiffany which is the one that deals making your appointments, talks to your insurance company if there's any issues. I have been going to this office for a number of years and am extremely happy with the service. Dr. Sepi does an amazing job while being entertaining and putting me at ease every time I go there. I had the worst dental experience ever! The equipment is OLD. no digital X-ray machine, not even a sink for spitting, the cleaning heads spilled water all over my neck. I am pretty sure she scraped off a piece of my gum, my mouth was filled with blood during the cleaning! The pain was terrible for the following week. The dentist was telling me the I had all kinds of serious problems during the cleaning with a very cold tone. And of course the estimation of treatments will cost me thousands of dollars. I was feeling mistreated, painful and threatened as a patient for the whole visit with Dr. Sepi. The one star is for her staffs. They were professional and nice. read more

I had been treated by Dr. Sepideh for approximately 3.5 years. The first 2 years she billed me according to my insured rate. The last 1.5 years she has billed me full price for my procedures, except for routine cleanings. The reason she could do this is she stated the procedures were a result of abrasion and not decay and the insurance company does not cover them. I had a front tooth cracked due to a fall and she recommended a porcelain veneer. After consulting another dentist regarding this crack, I was told it was a hairline crack and a porcelain veneer would not help it; and in fact no procedure was recommended. read more

What an amazing dentist! Dr Sepi Pejham in Saratoga is first rate. She and her staff are ultra-professional, yet warm and friendly. The receptionist greeted me with a big smile and called my by name...this was my first appointment, but she didn't have to look at her book to know it was me. Dr. Sepi (as she is called) gave me a thorough exam, one of the most comprehensive I have had in years. She even checked my TMJ to see if there were any problems. She made recommendations on a treatment plan for a few minor dental needs and I have had two follow-up appointments since then. No waiting...I was in the chair within minutes of my appointment time. Her care and concern for my comfort gave me confidence in her and in the treatment. Who likes to go to the dentist? Hardly anyone, but I can say I think I have finally found one that treats me as a valued patient, not just another "mouth". read more
