There were tons of intriguing options on the menu, and it took me longer than usual to decide. The service was friendly and appreciated. For appetizers, the oysters ($1 each), and the salmon ceviche special ($21) was ordered. The oysters are typically $3, but on Wednesday and Thursday, they are $1. They were from the East coast and small. The cocktail sauce was pleasant with just enough heat. The ceviche had serrano chili, pineapple relish, and a micro salad. This was tasty. I really liked how the salmon was cut. There was a good amount present, but some parts were a little tough. I liked the combination of the spicy serrano chili with the sweet pineapple relish, but I surprisingly wanted a little more of the pineapple. For an entrée, I had the blackened pork chop ($38). It came with a roasted butternut squash puree, sauteed asparagus, and a pineapple chutney. This was great. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium temperature with the right amount of seasoning. The puree was a nice touch and the pineapple chutney paired nicely with the pork. The asparagus was nice in the puree and cooked ideal too. I also tried the sesame-crusted ahi tuna that came with a Jasmine rice cake, baby bok choy, and a ginger Thai coconut sauce. The tuna was cooked to perfect rare, and the sauce was essentially a curry which was flavorful. The bok choy was hardly seasoned though. Regardless, it was still solid. Will I go back? I would.

Originally, we planned to stop at a coffee shop to relax and wait for the traffic to ease. However, when we drove past this restaurant, we decided to check it out instead. The gentleman who seated us was super friendly. Our server, Theressa J., was equally warm, and professional. We weren't hungry at all. My husband ordered the Crispy Fritto Misto as an appetizer. I couldn't resist ordering the three-course meal, which included tuna and salmon poke to start, followed by lobster tail gnocchi and bread pudding for dessert. Since I wasn't hungry, I ended up taking most of my entrée and my dessert home. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we're so glad we decided to give this restaurant a try. By the time we finished dinner and got back on the road, the traffic had eased considerably. Needless to say, we went home happy!

Ask our server to cook the burger Medium Rare and to our disappointment, it was cooked Medium Well again. The French fries were also a huge disappointment because in our opinion, fresh fries were mixed in with leftover fries from an earlier service. The one shining star was the red blend wine which was above par and outstanding. Another huge disappointment and poor dining experience. I left a few messages for The DB Restaurant Group for a comment but nothing this far. David Burke, My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting The Red Horse and Saturday the 4th after our township Lebanon Parade. Similar to last year we also took advantage of your Cheeseburger Holiday special ($17.76 and $20.26) both nice values. Last year the cheeseburgers were cooked perfect to our liking, Medium Rare (posted on Yelp 5 stars). This year very disappointed, we asked for Medium Rare and instead it was served Medium Well/Well and the fries were not fresh. The waitress gave us a future free app coupon and that was also disappointing. On a positive note the room ambiance/decor is spectacular! Oh well, as a former Aramark Manager for over 16 years, I NEVER send food back to the kitchen. In ending you are a Food Maverick so God Bless You and continued success!

Our server Nathan was ok , he could use some training when it comes to customer service and being welcoming . It was interesting - we arrived at opening, and were the only patrons... except for about 50 beautifully dressed women! Apparently there were two large parties, one a wedding shower and the other a bachelorette party. And us. The ambiance is great. The place exudes a sort of sophisticated charm, the kind of feel you only get in old, established places with great food and great reputations. Our waitress was impeccable, well informed, and right on point. I ordered red lentil soup to start, and a turkey burger. The soup was delicious and warmed the bones of this chilled motorcyclist, and the turkey burger was juicy and tasty. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. I shall return!

She actually felt so bad by the level of service she was providing that she comped our dessert. The food took a long time to arrive. Our plates weren't cleared between courses. Our water glasses were never refilled. No one ever asked if our food was O.K. The first wine we chose was "unavailable."We were never given a dessert menu- we had to ask for one. We had to endure this ordeal for two hours- it took close to 20 minutes just to get the check. All this could be overlooked if the food was good but it was not. Cauliflower appetizer was undercooked and overly spiced. Chicken parm meatballs were dry. Halibut smelled very fishy which is usually not a good sign - which proved to be true. Short ribs were fatty, chewy and one dimensional and sat on a bed of vegetables that consisted of potatoes, corn, tomatoes and other unidentifiable vegetables all in an unappetizing color brown. (Those were left untouched). Some gravy or wine reduction might have helped but it was all served dry. The best dish was a side of mashed potatoes which were buttery, creamy and well-seasoned- they would have made a great bed for the short ribs to sit on instead of those sad vegetables. The Funfetti donut sundae was good. The most positive comment I can make is that they didn't rush us out! To pay as much as we did for food and service that was mediocre at best was disappointing- we will not be going back.

I ended up getting a grain bowl with grilled chicken. It was quality and filling with a reasonable amount of flavor. The service at the bar was meh. The bartenders were a bit slow and didn't seem enthused to be there. Took them forever to refill water and didn't check on me during dinner, i would have loved another beer and some hot sauce or pepper. Overall, it's a fine choice barely 4 stars.

Before even getting into the restaurant, you pay $20 for valet (or self-park for free). Once inside, the ambiance is pretentiously fancy. The food is generally good, nothing spectacular, and priced to match the pretentious ambiance. Most of the dishes contained a puréed food of some kind to be pretentiously fancy. Why so many purées? What's wrong with whole vegetables? Your customers are not babies. Dishes that I would probably order again if I return: * Bluefin tuna crudo with avocado purée * Coffee-rubbed Berkshire pork chop with sweet potato purée * Duck with Brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and cauliflower purée * Roasted carrots with sumac Dishes that were fine but not memorable (1 star off): * Brioche rolls with carrot butter: could not taste any carrot flavor in carrot butter; a good plain butter would have sufficed; it also came with a side of smoked salmon roe which I thought was pretentious and unnecessary * New England scallops with carrot and coriander purée, spring pea and mint pesto, and mushroom crumble: the mushroom crumble was good, but the scallops were over-salted * Pan-seared salmon, sunchoke, spring herb purée, salsify, corn, and pommes purée: TWO purées...yay... * Cavatelli with lamb ragu: ragu is basically a tomato purée * Roasted Brussels sprouts and butternut squash For dessert, our waiter recommended the butterscotch pretzel sundae, which has been on their menu for years. The blondie bites, salted caramel, hot fudge, and salted caramel ice cream did sound good. Too bad they forgot to bring it out for us (1 star off), so we never tried it.
