Yak & Yeti saved me on moving day. I had scheduled my move with another company, but they didn't show up!. I was packed and ready to go, so I called other moving companies. Yak & Yeti sent four good guys out six hours later and all went smoothly. Big Thanks to Yak & Yeti! read more

Yak and Yeti movers provided a great moving experience. They moved my art studio from San Francisco to Sonoma. I had three destinations upon arrival to Sonoma: my home, studio and storage unit. It took a lot of preplanning, organizing and labeling each section of the move. Jorge, Antonio, and Juan, were so attentive to my requests and loaded up the truck in sections. It was a seamless move with heavy printmaking equipment, art supplies, and 40 years of being a practicing artist. I highly recommend Yak and Yeti as professional movers. There was not a glitch in this major move. Feeling grateful to the moving team! Thanks for getting me installed in my new studio and beyond. Forever grateful! read more

I got referred to Yak & Yeti by Jay's Small Moves due to availability conflicts. I decided to contract both packing and moving support. I'd never had a service pack for me, but the crew (Antonio, Emerson, and George) did a great job. Very communicative and professional - I'd highly recommend! read more

Hassle-free and a great crew!!! I wasn't ready, but they were and so kind and thoughtful. The final pricing came under their quote. Everything was shrink wrapped and arrived without damage or loss - fantastic! read more

Had an appointment for today set at 3/3:30 was called last min this morning! Day of...to say my appointment time was never confirmed, yet we have a trace of emails saying that it was! Long story short I have no movers for today, they said the emails were false information and now they are not picking up or answering any emails back! Definitely do not recommend now I will be in my new place with not even a bed! Thanks yak and yeti! read more

Excellent service, and the guys are friendly. They have a large truck with a lift, and that really speeds the process up. read more

I've used Yak and Yeti twice for what I'd call medium-large jobs. They showed up when promised, they did a good job, their pricing is transparent. On one of the jobs, they had a worker unable to join at the last second, so they sent another crew over after they finished another job at no cost. Definitely went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I will not hesitate to hire them again. read more

4 really nice guys showed up on time and moved the furniture of our home very safely. Most of our boxes we had moved prior, on our own. It took double the amount of time I expected for 4 men (6h), and it cost a fortune, but there was no damage to anything except a lampshade they didn't wrap. I must say they OVER wrapped many other things, which I feel added quite a bit of time. Blankets and tape is sufficient, but they put loads of stretch wrap on TOP of all that, for a 12 mile move. The man Michael who takes care of the phones and communication is super friendly and communicative, easy to work with, good businessman. It's why I chose them. read more

This was our second move with Yak & Yeti. They arrived early in the time window (12-3) and got right to work. They packed up and loaded everything in under an hour, taking care with each item of furniture. When they got to the new address, they were also efficient, placing each item as direcTed and removing all the packing material. I will use them again and I recommend them highly! read more

We booked them for a local move within Hayward, and they were on time, efficient, and extremely professional. We hired them specifically to move our larger items like our couch and bed, and they exceeded our expectations. They disassembled and reassembled the bed and made sure all furniture was placed exactly where we wanted it. My husband and mother-in-law were especially impressed with how quickly and carefully everything was moved. The pricing was fair and reasonable for the quality of service we received. If I ever need to move again, I will absolutely be using them and recommending them to others. Thank you again for helping us and relieving some stress!! read more

Yak & Yeti was a life saver... I called literally the week before my Aunt's move into assisted living and they fit us into their schedule. Aakash was very thorough and accommodating and the 2 men (Walter and George?) were very quick, but careful with my Aunt's belongings. I highly recommend them and would hire them again! Thank you for such a seamless move! read more

Our movers were so exquisitetly prepared. We could not have had better experience with them, as our move was a little bit complicated.

So much went well. It was very easy to deal with the office. The individuals with whom I dealt were responsive and ready to answer any questions and concerns I had. The three workers who moved me from Santa Rosa to Berkeley were personable and incredibly hard working. They responded to all of my requests. I liked working with Yak and Yeti and highly recommend them. read more

Excellent communication - timely, thorough, thoughtful and kind. They were so detailed, we (happily) ended up buying them pizza to make sure they had enough energy following the move. Definitely recommend! read more

Top rated experience from beginning to end. Everyone was very communicative, friendly and I paid exactly what I expected to. No hidden or surprise fees. If I ever need help moving again, I will definitely be a return customer. Five Stars!!! read more

Small local company. Crew was fast, efficient packed items meticulously. I was anxious about artwork. Arrived in perfect shape. Took plant containers filled with soil! Polite, happy mood responsive to every request. I am so glad I went with this smaller company Oh! Office staff were equally praise-worthy--good communication (quick replies), assuring and accommodating. The total bill very reasonable and, I believe lower than other movers read more

First of all timing: 100% in time. Picking up and delivery. Second, manpower is so pro, friendly and strong. Pricing is almost unmatchable with other movers. The team set up my furniture better than I had before I moved. Thank you team. Please keep up your good work, smile and professionalism as you have now. read more

Wow! These guys are pros! We were so lucky to get Santos, Franco and Joel to bring our new 480 lb refrigerator up 2 flights of stairs and put in its new spot. They were prompt, arriving right when they were expected, took time to evaluate the situation and executed a challenging job flawlessly. They took time to protect my floors and furniture, and were both efficient and courteous. Couldnt ask for better. I'll definitely use them again! THANK YOU!! read more

We moved two large antiques down the street. They showed up within the time frame and more importantly were extremely knowledgeable, professional and careful. I would definitely use them again! read more

The Yak & Yeti team was incredible during our recent office move. Prior to the move, they handled some last-minute changes with calm and professionalism. During the move, they were careful with our items, placing them where we asked, and nothing was lost nor damaged. I hope we don't move offices again soon, but we'd hire them again in a heartbeat. Really, a great operation and team! read more

We had a team of 3 skilled young men help unload our U-Haul, everyone was great!! All had a great attitude, worked quickly, efficiently, and with lots of care to the items. Super friendly, professional, and kind. They finished sooner than the 2 hour minimum. Very very appreciative because this service made the moving process so much easier and less stressful. The person I spoke with on the phone collected some details about the move before providing an estimate. They were able to help with a next day move, which is pretty last minute and I'm so grateful for their availability! They were always very reachable and communicative. My total was $495 for 2 hours of moving with 3 team members. They brought their own equipment. Highly recommend!!! read more

The management, moving and packaging team are great to work with. The planner/scheduler manage well the whole moving from packaging to loading of our POD containers and unloading as well. The packaging and moving team are very efficient with maximizing/optimizing the loading relative to POD container space. The packaging and moving team associates/members handle the packages with care. read more

They did a great job! Will hire them again. Punctual, professional and communicative.

A week before my moving date, the movers I had initially hired cancelled on me. I frantically started calling everyone I could find. After asking a few different companies for their availability I happened to call Yak and Yeti Movers. Laxman (hope I spelled correctly) answered the call and was very accommodating to my questions and price was reasonable. Their professionalism over the phone made me feel very comfortable about hiring them. The day of the move, I had the pleasure of having Santos and his team move my belongings. They made me feel like my belongings and property were well cared for. Yak and Yeti made the move feel stress free and their team's work ethic and professionalism earned my 5 star review. I highly recommend giving them a call. read more

They came recommended by another local mover who was already booked out. Needed a couple large items and boxes moved last minute from South Bay to East Bay. The team got it done without issue, were professional, nice, and efficient. Super reasonable prices - upfront estimate matched the final bill and everything was automated. read more

Booked a local move with not a lot of notice and the communication was smooth and easy. Decided to add piano to move at very late notice and they were able to accommodate this no problem for extra charge. They (Franco and two other guys, SORRY forgot names!) arrived on time, were fast, professional, good at checking in about my needs and preferences and were very thoughtful in unloading into the new home making sure I would be able to handle the unpacking with the way things were left. Disassembled and reassembled queen bed and placed in correct position, as well as upright piano. Made it all smooth and easy and they also played great music :) read more

We used yak and after our usual movers were booked. Santos, Jorge, and Emerson did a great job and were very nice to work with!

8/17/2025 I literally just had the movers of a lifetime!!! I had 3 movers come to my home in Richmond bright and early and they were in such good spirits for it to be so early. Which I loved. I had an extremely heavy bed and they moved it with grace and confidence. The move was from Richmond to Oakland and they were able to knock it out in such fast timing! I love when I have movers that are in good spirts and crack a few jokes and thats what the yak and yeti team had - they were even able to make my husband smile a few times and he is not a morning person lol. They placed and wrapped everything so nice without a scratch and even had to move a few things upstairs. Thank you so much yak and yeti . I will definitely be using your service again !!!! Moving after the holidays is tough but Yak and Yeti Movers made it easy. My move took place on Jan 4, 2025 and it was so smooth. I hired this firm because they are local to Alameda County and they are a minority co. Family owned. I'm so impressed by my crew , who went above and beyond. All three gentlemen were professional, respectful and honest. The process was simple and painless. I highly recommend Yak and Yeti for your local moves. read more

They arrived hours late and broke our $6k couch. They charged us far more than they quoted. Do not use these unprofessional movers.

I replied to their email survey asking how I felt about their service and let them know I was unhappy with being charged twice the estimate I was given, among other things. It's been over a month and they have not responded. I had some other issues I wanted to discuss, but since they never got back to me, I'll mention them here. When the movers came, they had me sign three signature pads. I asked a couple of times what I was signing and with the exception of being told that one of the signatures was to allow them to do the move, I have no idea what the other signatures were for. I asked twice but couldn't quite understand the response. My bad for signing when I wasn't sure what I was signing but I was under a time crunch for the move to happen so didn't have much of a choice. To ask someone to sign something without having a written explanation of what is being signed seems at best unprofessional and at worst, unethical. When I originally scheduled the move, I was told I could pay by Zelle, cash, check or credit card but if I paid by credit card, there would be an extra charge. When the move was over, I tried to pay by Zelle and when he didn't want Zelle, I told him I could pay by check. He said he wanted me to pay by credit card - the only form of payment that was going to cost me more. That felt sketchy. And finally, there are double doors leading to my apartment. One of the doors wasn't opening so they used force to push it open and now the two doors are no longer flush with each other. I think what adds another layer of frustration to all of this is that the company knows I was not happy with their services and have done nothing to contact me about it. Hopefully I won't be moving anytime in the near future but if I do, I won't be using this company. read more
