This place never fails to amaze me with their high quality, delicious food. This time we had a party of 5 and ordered family style trying multiple items and challah bread pudding for dessert. I was blown away, yet again, both by the food and the service. The restaurant, itself, has an upscale feel with its marble tables, and exposed walls. Parking is street parking only but not too bad. Truly a gastronomical delight.

This is such a cute Mediterranean restaurant that I have been to. It's very cost and intimate. A reservation is requested as the place is super busy at all times. Why? Because the food is amazing and the service is superb. My husband and I had dinner reservations for a Friday evening. We got there 7 minutes before our scheduled time but were quickly seated. We looked over the menu and decided to ordered one dish from each category. We got the radicchio salad, the hummus with burnt beef ends, the roasted cauliflower, the fried chicken with spicy sauce and the smoked beef short ribs. The star of the show is definitely the corn bread. It was so yummy,

Third time at Yalla and tried several new dishes. EVERYTHING is good, every single thing. The short rib and fried chicken were my favorites this time.

Came for brunch with the ladies and loved everything we had! The star of the meal was the khachapuri, we almost ordered another but we were absolutely stuffed! The service was also amazing, we visited during a joint event with the other local businesses and got a free cookie!

Okay- this place is amazing, but brunch here is not..... stellar. Service- superb! Ambience- lovely! Brunch menu felt like an afterthought because while we had hummus, pita, fried yam, and French fries that were great, the breakfast part of the menu was.... Not as good. The egg on my chicken and waffle had gelled and hardened as it waited for my chicken and waffle to be ready. The chicken was spectacular and the waffle felt like an afterthought. The quality of the breakfast food was not as high as the other food.

This is my go to restaurant for family dinners and nights out with friends! Their food is amazing! Don't pass up the burnt beef ends hummus and the warm olives!

Y'all need to try Yalla...it's truly a hidden gem tucked into the cutest little town. It's been days since I ate here and I'm still thinking about that cornbread. Honestly it's better than cake. The raddicio salad... yum, it was delicious and refreshing. The other stand out dish to me was the hummus with beef bites. I would totally order those three again. Service was great. The employees were friendly, attentive and made sure we had a great experience. Ambiance is classy, great for date night or a place to catch up over delicious bites. We also ordered the cucumber soda and it was yummy. 10 out of 10 recommend this spot, be sure to make a reservation ahead of time as it gets quite busy!

Wow, best meal I've had in a while. The space is cozy. The service was impeccable. I adored my cocktail; awesome flavor and exactly as advertised. We ordered all that food pictured plus dessert for 3 people and ate past the point of being full because all the flavors were just so good. All had different favorites so it worked out perfectly. High end food with a low key vibe.

We dropped in for dinner on a weekend and were promptly seated--though not before the hostess made it abundantly clear what a monumental favor she was doing by letting us in. Before I could even glance at the place, we were swiftly escorted to what felt like the restaurant's witness protection corner--despite a sea of empty tables right up front. Thankfully, things only went uphill from there- The food and drinks are amazing and I could feel that the quality of the ingredients was top notch . From the cocktails to the dessert everything was stellar . The only thing that could have been better was the service but it certainly wasn't bad . Its a definite -'Must be back' in my books.

This place is doing Mediterranean food a great service. Wow, we had heard great things from friends about this spot and it certainly lived up tot he hype. We came in for a celebratory dinner last week and had a reservation for the back patio. I'd definitely encourage reservations as the place fills up quickly. The inside of the restaurant had a charming rustic decor and smelled amazing with aromatic spices wafting from the kitchen. We were seated on the back patio which is a quaint space with a wood overhang and probably about 8 tables. It was a perfect evening and warm enough to enjoy eating outside. I'll note they do have heaters for cooler nights. Food wise we went with the fried chicken, corn bread, corn ribs, peaches, burnt end hummus and the kebab. Everything was fantastic. Standouts were definitely the hummus, which maybe was the best I've ever had, as well as the fried chicken. Everything had rich flavor and was easy to share which was perfect. The drinks we had were also tasty and added to the meal. The service overall was solid. Waiter was attentive and helped determine the right number of dishes. I would say you can get away with probably a few more than recommended. We were initially told 4 plates would be good but got 6 and wound up being full but still happy we got an extra 2. Will definitely be going back here and can't wait to try more for the menu!

Loved this restaurant by the Sesame Collective. I love MEC but they don't have brunch, and I was so happy to come across a post on Instagram about this newish spot in Multnomah Village! First, they take resos for brunch. Hallelujah, I'm not trying to wait for a table anymore! Second, the ambiance is great. Bright enough and with tables spaced enough apart that you can hear each other speak. Third, the food selection is amazing - lots to choose from, and hope that your dining companions like to share! My friend and I shared the Dutch baby, khachapuri, and fried eggplant salad. The khachapuri is easily shareable, but first break up the yolk and spread the love! Its like a brunch pizza with the freshest of ingredients, savory and bright. The Dutch baby is smaller but still good to share with one other person. It came out sizzling in a skillet, with blackberries macerated with cardamon and some homemade whipped cream. I don't see Dutch babies on many menus and I have to get it when I see it. This one did not disappoint! The fried eggplant salad was also delish! 3 large, lightly battered eggplant slices over mixed greens dressed in a creamy dressing, with crispy potatoes and soft baked eggs. It was a good complement to the meal. Overall, great experience and I can't wait to come back and try some other items!

My husband saw this place on Tick Tok and wanted to try it. I'm sure glad he did! Wow! Every bite was amazing and full of deliciousness! I've finally gotten my husband to be willing to share dishes. I love doing that so I can try more things. We shared 3 dishes. To start with we had to have our vegetables. The eggplant salad was such a great start to the meal. A beautiful salad was tucked under breaded and fried eggplant (melt-in-your mouth tender inside with a beautiful crunch on the outside). There were also some yummy potatoes hiding among the salad greens that were crispy on the outside. Mmmm. There was a sauce zig zagged on top that we loved. It added a punch of yum. Also the cardamom orange zest butter! Yes please! Next came the chicken & waffles. I've never thought that sounded like something I wanted to order but my husband said they recommended it...now I do too! The smoky maple syrup was a real treat. So so good! Lastly we had the cornbread. I second the Yelp reviewer that said it was the best cornbread they have ever eaten. Yes!!! It has schmaltz, which gives it so much flavor! Wow! Just try it! Trust me! Our server was great too! We loved Yalla and want to bring other family members next time!

We weren't too hungry and ordered 3 dishes to share - the hamachi crudo, baked feta with Blackberries, and braised Greek greens. The service was pretty fast, we received our food within 15 mins. The hamachi crudo was tasty with fresh fish that balanced well with the yummy smoked eggplant, tamarind soy, black harissa mayo, and crispy ginger. The baked feta was the heartiest dish, it came out with piping hot pitas to dip into the creamy savory/sweet feta and Blackberries. The braised Greek greens felt like the most basic dish out of the 3, collard greens cooked with a lemon/olive oil finish, which tasted as described but not exciting enough to order again. Just as the name implies, this restaurant is a nice way to try Mediterranean dishes for those who don't eat it often. Admittedly, the cuisine isn't in our top favorites, but all the dishes were executed well, true to their description, and made for some fun bites.

We chose Dolly Olive for our anniversary dinner. We decided to splurge on the Chef's Tasting Menu,…read morevegetarian version. It was a LOT of wonderful food. We walked away stuffed! So it was a good value for a special occasion. I'll walk you through what we ate: First came their signature green olives with a little bowl for the pits. They had some little pickled red onions in with them. Soooo good! Then focaccia. It was a big hunk that we tore pieces off of and dipped in garlic olive oil. Those were standard with every meal. Now came the fun. The thing I love about tasting menus is you never know what's coming next! It's so much fun to be surprised! They started us off with a seasonal burrata with local strawberries, hazelnuts, fresh basil and a strawberry gastrique. Swoon-worthy! Next we were served the house version of Caesar salad. It came with a wedge of lemon to squeeze over the top. Yum! Next was the thinnest roasted asparagus I've ever eaten. I don't normally like asparagus but I really enjoyed this. It rested on a bed of some sort of puree (I forgot what they said it was). Next was corn ravioli. Sadly it was the only pasta included in this meal. I had been hoping to have another pasta dish or two. The ravioli was special though and not your normal filling, so that was nice. Then came roasted cauliflower on a bed of green goddess sauce. Tasty but I was feeling very healthy by then with all the veggies! (Couldn't they have replaced that with pasta? Sorry, I'm whining here). Our last savory dish was eggplant parm. It came with more focaccia. Again, I'd have loved pasta instead. Isn't that what one goes to an Italian restaurant for? Finally there were delicious, short, buttery Italian wedding cookies. But then our waiter surprised us with cannoli, for our anniversary! It sat atop Maryhill peach compote. Excellent! The service was impeccable. Our waiter was knowledgeable, personable and very attentive. We were also served by some other staff who did a great job as well. Good thing we've been married 42 years. If this was a first date where you want to get to know each other, it would be hard because it's pretty loud and the tables are crammed closely together. They really need a bigger space. We are looking forward to bringing friends and family here in the future.

The short rib arancini were crispy with a nice sauce and are ordered by the each. I forgot to mention that the menu is designed for sharing so plan on 2-3 dishes per person. The spicy pork pasta had fun thin ribbons of noodles with a curly edge (like skinny lasagne noodles) and wasn't too spicy. My wife really like the seasonal sweet corn ravioli with its beautiful lite preparation. All this food was more than enough and very reasonably priced. The wine list is small but assembled with a careful eye and the by the glass options were of high quality. Service was friendly and the meal moved along at a relaxed pace. BEST MEAL IN PORTLAND!!!!!…read more Saw this place randomly while looking for a place to eat after a long flight. It was late and not many places were open. This place was closed but a middle eastern place that serves cheesecake was soo intriguing that i knew i needed to come back. Came back Saturday night and they had no tables and was packed. However, they tried to accommodate us so much. However, the night was in our favor. As we started to order take out, a lady was kind enough to give up her table since she was eating alone. It was a small table for 3 people but the staff was sooo accommodating i have no words. They even gave free dessert to the lady who was kind. Then luck would have it, the table next to us never showed up for their reservation so they gave us that table. Finally, we ordered. Turned out, i also got the last shawarma too. Everything happens for a reason! We also got the Saudi chicken kabsa and cheesecakes. The biggest compliment i can give is when the food came, none of us talked for a good 5-7 mins and just sat there in heaven eating. The flavors were soo unique but yet so familiar. If this is Saudi food, i have been missing out. I need to explore more sub categories of middle eastern cuisine. Best bites in Portland for us and that's all i have to describe our experience. Finally, got the Nutella cheesecake and almond caramel cheesecake. I have to say, Nutella was good but easily a skip compared to almond and caramel. Just get 2 of those and you'll be happy. The cakes itself are light and not heavy. They were great end to a great meal. This is a family owned but family loved business. You can see the love as they serve their guests but you can taste the love too. The people are soo sweet and kind and just want to serve you.
