My last visit to Yamamori was splendid, and I hope it was indicative that the food and service has improved since my last visit, about a year and a half ago. The food was delicious and generously portioned, and the waitress on staff was extremely professional and very helpful. The crazy tuna roll, the special of the day, was fantastic. Not only did the roll look carefully put together with great presentation, but it was also huge and filling! A roll that size would typically cost a few dollars more elsewhere (and that's taking the original non-special price into consideration). My dad wanted ice cream but was unsure of what mochi was. He decided on green tea ice cream, which he loved, but the waitress also surprised us with a strawberry mochi on-the-house for him to try out, which was awesome. As it turns out, he also loves mochi. I would be more than happy to write a 5-star review upon my next visit if things continue to go well! I've eaten here about 4 times, but if this review was based off of this visit alone I would definitely rate it 5 stars right away! A great dining experience.

Very good! Best chow main close by !! Will be back for more. Sushi was good. We had the Becky roll, buba gum roll, and California roll. All good!

I really enjoyed the food at Yamamori. There was nothing that blew me away but the Ramen and Sushi I had were both very tasty. Although the ramen noodles were not homemade they were definitely chewy and the broth was very tasty. The meat was pretty good too and wasn't all fat or nerve pieces. Place is pretty big in size and is still in new condition. Our waitress Mariah is one of the best waitresses I've had. She was extremely busy and by herself, but still kept a positive attitude and smiled a whole lot. Excellent service from her!! Prices are fair during Happy Hour. I'd return if I was in the area.

Not a bad place, but not the best management. The waitress was friendly, prompt, and patient. Unfortunately she was sent home early and the manager finished her shift. It was apparent that he wasn't eager to serve customers. Closing time was 8pm on Wednesday February 23, but we were made to feel uncomfortable. We left at 7:30pm. Overall our experience with the waitress was a 5. The management experience was a 2, but I didn't want to fault the waitress. I would return, just not late in the day. I'd recommend the same to any other customer. You can see from the pictures that we enjoyed wonderful food until the manager was a dick.

    Chicken bento was horrible.

A group of us checked out this restaurant because it's one of the non Western food option around this quiet town. We got there about an hour before closing and the restaurant was completely empty. Nobody at sight. Just the server standing there, waiting for something to happen. So we showed up and was seated immediately. 4 of us had a hard time deciding what to order because the Yelp reviews were filled with mixed feelings. If you're reading this review and hoping to use it to guide what to order or whether to eat here. Our group would say take your money somewhere else. I ended up ordering their teriyaki chicken bento because it seemed like the safest choice available. Guess what? I was absolutely wrong. The chicken tasted so bland. It feels like they just threw raw chicken on the grill and poured some sauce over it. I know cause I meal prep the same exact way. Their bento was filled with too much rice, the tempuras they served were below average, their California rolls were the worst I've ever tasted. Nothing was acceptable in the chicken teriyaki bento that I've ordered. On the brighter side, the server was attentive and helpful. She was the best part of our dining experience. On the side note, their teapot set was absurdly heavy. The heaviest cups and teapot I have ever used. Pouring hot tea was a hassle cause the cups were heat conducive. We were intrigued by it but damn it we just want to drink our beverage. I wouldn't come back to this restaurant even if they sold everything half off.

Yummy! I recommend the Las Vegas sushi roll. My husband likes the rainbow & teriyaki chicken. The kids like the pot stickers.

It's ok, but overpriced for what you get. Too much rice, lower grade compared to what you'd expect for the price.

Food is okay. Would consider it more cheap level sushi for what it it. Definitely better sushi places around wouldn't recommend.

Service/ ambiance: Came here on a Thursday around 8 to be greeted by a 45min. Wait--we stuck around. The place was super packed, and because the windows had the blinds down with art work; it felt a bit claustrophobic and overwhelming. We got an alert that our table was ready and checked-in. The hostess then left us, and waved us down to signal where we were sitting (they could've told us to follow them lol) The waitress was nice, but seemed a bit scattered. Automatically asked what we wanted, but we had never been here before, so wasn't sure how it all worked (they never explained). The walls of our booth were littered with scrape marks and chipped paint. The booth had no cushion whatsoever, making it extremely difficult to get comfortable (ok...there's a cushion, but it's flat). The table was the most annoying part. No matter if you scoot it more towards you or the other side there still so much space. I'm basically sitting at the edge of my seat trying to eat because of the distance--if you're a bit heftier on the stomach--it's perfect. (Random observation: the bathroom looks nice, but not well kept. There's graffiti and cravings all over, which makes me think I'm in the bathroom of a dive bar) Food: As I mentioned I was craving sushi--their selection was lack luster. Almost everything had the same ingredients. The salmon sashimi looked pale and had no color. There were some pieces that were sliced so thin you could basically see through it. I ordered two rolls for my daughter (crazy roll & snow mountain)--both were lacking flavor. The presentation for them was as if they didn't care or even try? Every time I picked one up it would fall apart. The Hibachi steak was cold and dry. Shot ribs were just lathered in sauce (not my preference), and mostly came with little meat and all bone. I'd only come back if the majority of people I'm with want to go, but I wouldn't suggest it myself. The service felt rushed. Food could have been presented/ prepared better. Space could've opened easily by letting us see out the windows and not feel so packed like a can of sardines, and could definitely use some touch up paint and better cushions. It could've been an off night, but this is what I experienced.
