The best sushi foie gras I've had in a very long time no wonder they were voted best sushi 2025 ; I've been trying to get here for a while and I was out voted or something came up what a mistake to have waited so long to try this amazing sushi and sashimi. I'll say it's tight quarters and I totally heard the first date conversations of the couple next to us (and if they bake to second date she's settling by the way ) the staff is quick but not overtly attentive they know they've got a gold mind , for example they won't acknowledge you as you walk in ...way to busy and they took my empty glass away never offering a refill. The food us worth it ; we plant up do take out next time nay go smoother so I'll see this week bc my sashimi with the uni was fresh and fabulous and his Saturday night roll was yummy . The lobster and bacon fried rice was good but their sushi is unmatched in this area .

Very good sushi. Fast service (on a weekday). Not particularly friendly, but always polite. Our water glasses were kept filled. We ordered 3 specialty rolls plus shumai to start. Could've done with 2 rolls, they're very generous. Taste-wise, this is my favorite sushi place. But the ambiance is loud and busy. And don't expect to linger, they have no patience for that.

Came here for dinner with a friend on a Wednesday night and it was packed! We didn't have to wait too long to be seated though. The menu has a long list of options but I came prepared with knowing what to order beforehand! I was told to try the sushi roll with caviar (several types are included!) The miso soup was also a good choice to start with. Would love to come back and possibly eat outdoors, when it's not so hot out!

Sushi Mike's has the freshest sushi in all of Westchester. My cousin first introduced me to this restaurant almost 6 years ago, and I've been coming here and ordering ever since. The staff is extremely polite, and they don't hover over you but check in periodically to make sure everything is okay, so thumbs up for service. Ambiance is very chill. Definitely a great hangout spot for amazing sushi. Takeout is also great and the fish retains their freshness. I usually get the sushi deluxe set and order a few other pieces of nigiri a la carte. Their tamago and Ikura are some of my faves.

I ordered delivery from here. For an appetizer, I got edamame. They were having a buy one, get one free deal so I got a second one for free. It was a perfect portion size and tasted good, but nothing too notable about it. Sometimes edamame is served with a heavy dose of salt on top but this didn't have much, which I appreciated. I also got avocado and sweet potato rolls. The sweet potato came with extra tempura on top which was a nice touch, though the fried dough could have been a little crunchier. The rolls were tasty. A good size, but not overly stuffed. I specifically chose this place because they have a side of spicy mayo on their menu. This is what takes vegetarian rolls from good to great and I didn't want to risk asking for it in the notes of my order and the restaurant forgetting to include it. Their spicy mayo had a stronger kick than most places so I really enjoyed it. However, they charged $3 for just a side of this sauce, which I felt was way too high. Other than that, I really enjoyed my meal!

After eating what little chicken and noodles came in the dish, this was what was left - all cabbage.

we've been customers for at least a decade if not longer. For the most part the food has been excellent...then sometimes just good...now NOT good. Some nights are ok some are amazing, the consistency isn't there and when you spend $160+ on takeout food for 2-3 people, it should be very good! Tonight was as new low, 80% of my dish was cabbage. There was barley any chicken, pea-pods or NOODLES. (Chicken Yaki Udon is a NOODLE dish). Also, trying to pick up an order has been increasingly difficult, a couple of times they didn't have our order. Other times we have been told a hour+ on a weekend night only to get a call 14 minutes later saying it was ready. Then they stopped calling to confirm online orders so we'd have to call because we had no idea if they received the order....We will not order here again.

Mike never disappoints. He is creative, personable, and a master at his art. I got the Omakase again and here's how it lined up: 1) it started with smoky Oysters, shucked and plump 2) Horse mackerel with fresh wasabi in a dipping sauce 3) Japanese amberjack with truffle and caviar 4) Garlic lobster with sprinkles of edamame where the roe would be 5) Crispy Horse mackerel with green tea salt 6) Foie gras sushi 7) Uni, scallop and ossetra caviar 8) A sushi medley of toro, shrimp, salmon, uni, red snapper, lobster, and an eel roll with a clam soup to cleanse the palate between each piece. Everyone in my group was truly impressed with the quality of their dinners and Mike's hospitality. Mike is an artist. Give him a chance to show off and he will blow your socks off.

Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly depending on your grasp of history, Poke is actually a Hawaiian dish. I just got back from the island life and I was craving some fresh fish, at a sizable size with some balance of fruit, veggies, sauce and quantity for a beautiful price. And I just so happened to be running myself into the ground at the track in Irvington. Or was it that low-lying track in Hastings. The bees. The bumblebees. Maybe the hornets. It was Irvington. The bulldogs. Grrrrrr. I just ran myself into the ground. Sprints for about an hour. Bad hammy. Few months later tore the calf while calfmaxxing. Probably related. First muscle injury in a spinning dixie, gotta have muscles to injure them? Not really but that's what I'll tell myself. So I rip the farmers market. Then I rip the soosh spot, ordered online. Walked in, handsomely. Very friendly and respectful and nice staff and have been everytime I've gone since. The weight of the food in hand was ridonk so I was optimistic. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant experience. Parking was convenient, with both street parking and municipal paid lots nearby. As for the food, I thought the sushi was okay. The salmon, scallop and tuna Nigiri were fresh and tasty . They were definitely one bites. The inari was pleasantly sweet, but the rice wasn't packed tightly enough into the fried tofu pocket. The loose, unfilled end made the texture a little off and less enjoyable. The futomaki didn't include the tobiko listed on the menu, which is a typical ingredient in this roll. It also lacked much flavor, so I probably wouldn't order it again. The Unagi was very good. My daughter said I don't eat eel. We also ordered the seafood tempura, which included shrimp, lobster, scallops, and vegetables. The seafood had a light, crisp tempura batter that I enjoyed. The vegetables were less impressive, as the batter was thicker and lacked the delicate, airy texture and crispness in a tempura that which they achieved with the seafood. My daughter ordered the pork katsu curry. The pork was fried nicely and came in a generous portion. The Japanese curry sauce was lighter than what we've had at other restaurants, which she actually preferred. Both entrées were served with miso soup and salad and were good. Most Japanese restaurants you get either or so kudos for giving both. They don't have a full-service bar, but they do offer beer, wine, and sake. Overall, the service and atmosphere were enjoyable, overall I found some bites better than others. The meal was really better than a three but not quite a four too bad you can't give half cause it's definitely a solid 3.5
