Looking for a girls night out saw this new place roof top amazing view great service the show was great at first we got sat in a hidden place didn't like it so they made sure they sat us right in front of show was great time ...the theme of this place is out of this world food was good and good price ...

Amazing experience from start to finish! The ambiance is stunning and really sets the tone for a special night out. The mini performances between meals was such a unique touch and made the whole evening feel like an event, not just dinner. It's located on the 9th floor of the Gale Hotel..and The food was incredible. The steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My favorite was the Tomahawk. And the sushi rolls were fresh and beautifully presented, and the dumplings with chili oil were one of my favorite bites of the night. The grilled corn and shishito peppers were also great sides. I ordered a bunch. Service was attentive and the presentation of every dish felt thoughtful and elevated. Between the atmosphere, the entertainment, and the quality of the food, this place definitely stands out in Miami. Highly recommend for a fun night out, date night, or when you want dinner to feel like an experience. Can't wait to come back! I hear the happy hour is spot on too!

There is so much to compliment and enjoy. I started with a great martini at the entrance bar and onions rings that were delicious. We then tried the oysters and the tuna tartare they were excellent, followed by the Denver waygu steak and the lamb chops. All top notch. We did try the rice and it was ok. Overall a great experience. The service was also ok. We had to get our server a few times. The ambience is wonderful with a great lightning, DJ was on point and we had a very lovely time.

The experience, service, restaurant design, and dishes were all excellent! The prices are a little inflated for some of the plate portions; nonetheless the plates were absolutely delicious and perfect for date night. At 9pm they have a performer dance and walk around. Would definitely come back to this spot. They also had a great wine selection.

From the moment the door opened to the rooftop, you could tell it was going to be a great night. The ambiance and views were incredible, and the staff made the experience even better. Juan was an excellent waiter, he guided us through the menu so we could order in a way that truly captured the full experience and enjoy our evening. You can't go wrong with visiting this restaurant. The entire team was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious! The cherry on top was Alejandro taking time to take a polaroid picture of us before leaving. It was very kind of him to make sure he got a shot of us. Side note: Reserve your table through OpenTable.

Beautiful wall decor in the waiting area of the restaurant

I recently tried Yamashiro and overall I'm glad I tried it out. But I probably won't be rushing back anytime soon. The atmosphere is beautiful -- mostly outdoor, rooftop vibes that feel elevated and romantic. The cocktails were unique and delicious, and I'd definitely return to sit at the bar for drinks alone. Service was 10/10. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and our server went above and beyond, walking us through the entire menu to help us decide. The only downside was the seating -- tables felt slightly too tight, and servers had to squeeze through at times. Food highlights and notes: * Spicy Truffle Edamame: Had some type of seasoning but did not taste any spice and truffle flavor. * Krispy Kale: Delicious (slightly too salty), but I'd order it again. * Cauliflower: Good presentation with table-side chopping, but flavor was just okay. * Wagyu Surf & Turf Roll: The wagyu on top overpowered the roll. Smaller pieces inside with lobster on top and a creamy sriracha on the side would've balanced it better. * Denver Steak: Good portion and tasty meat, but the mustard sauce had almost no flavor -- I ended up using just salt and wasabi. Overall, I'd come back for the drinks and ambiance, but with so many great restaurants in Miami, I'm not rushing back for the food.

Dessert I forgot the name it was complimentary though for my birthday.

Food was good. They do require dress code so ladies come covered. The lightening is terrible outside not sure about indoors. I sat outside on a raised area and upon leaving I went tumbling down almost breaking my leg because I couldn't see the step it was so dark!! Service was good but my food was coming out way too late than expected especially for 3 tuna crunchy rice's.

It is located on the 9th floor of the Gale hotel and residences. The place is beautiful, good vibe and I liked the esthetics. The server was really attentive, nice, and good recommendations. The food was really good. My favorite dish that I tried of all was the milk bread katsu. Delicious! The corn vegetable, Denver steak, Wagyu Gouza and tuna tar tar was great too. It is expensive so bring your wallet... but I would go back. One of my new favorites in Miami

20/10 !! absolutely obsessed. Yamashiro in downtown is such a vibe. The rooftop alone is reason enough to go ..sweeping skyline views, open air, and that perfect nightfall glow that instantly sets the mood. From the second you walk in, you're welcomed by a lounge style entrance that feels upscale, moody, and effortlessly cool... plus a must snap photo op mural. The design is where this place truly shines. Garden inspired touches like bonsai accents, koi-style water features, and a temple like central bar. It's elegant but still fun ..stylish, yet relaxed. This definitely isn't a quiet, low-key sushi spot, but the prices are comparable to Sushi Sake... except the vibes and sushi are about 10 times better. The crowd is clearly there for both the food and the experience, and they even have live entertainment during dinner at certain times, which takes the energy to another level. We started with cocktails and both were delicious. I had the Downtown Abbey (vodka, guava, golden lavender cordial, yuzu, and prosecco) it was light and refreshing, and not too sweet. My boyfriend ordered the Fortune Teller (Japanese whiskey, honey, yuzu, sweet chili, and blue spirulina), which was smooth with just the right touch of sweetness and spice. Now onto the food .... Yamashiro's menu is Japanese fusion done right, balancing comfort, luxury, and creativity. You'll find everything from Japanese fried chicken and katsu sando to lobster in miso beurre blanc, black garlic Chilean sea bass, Alaskan king crab, wagyu tomahawk, and a full sushi and handroll menu. If you're looking to stay low key and just go with some sushi or if you're looking to go a little more upscale, they absolutely deliver with premium wagyu, high-quality seafood, and chef-driven plates. For appetizers, the katsu sando completely stole the show ...fluffy Japanese milk bread, prime tenderloin, and tonkatsu aioli... rich, crispy, and unforgettable. Easily our favorite bite of the night. The octopus was just as impressive, perfectly tender with a beautiful char. We also tried a few sushi rolls, and every single one hit: *Truffle Yellowtail Roll : hamachi, chive, yuzu truffle vinaigrette, and chardonnay amazu gel for a bright, elevated flavor profile. * Yamashiro Roll (my personal favorite); tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado, pickled serrano, crispy onions, spicy mayo, and eel sauce * Wagyu Surf & Turf Roll: lobster tempura topped with seared A5 wagyu, truffle salt, and onion jam... indulgent in the best way. Overall, the food matched the atmosphere...elevated, flavorful, and perfect for sharing, lingering, and turning dinner into a full night out. Perfect for date night, birthdays, or kicking off an evening downtown with unreal views and even better vibes.

What a magical, amazing experience we had on Christmas eve! It started at the bar with the best bartenders serving us espresso martinis and a view of the skyline. We then sat in the open-air seating, the restaurant is stunning! We enjoyed delicious tuna crispy rice and the star of the show was the little sandos with gold flecks-- beautiful and delicious. We had some edamame which added some texture to the meal. We ordered various sushi rolls and a sushi platter. All of the fish tasted fresh and was a plump texture. We met the owner, Steve who is a great guy. Later in the night, we ordered the martini service tableside-- it got the party starting. The martinis were dirty and delicious. They have soft entertainment later in the night, music starts and women dressed in a kimono came to each table. Such a great evening here!

1st time at this restaurant, our girl friend wanted to celebrate her bday there. It's one of the hottest restaurants now in the MIA. Food was good, my favorite was the Katsu Sando even though the meat was a little hard, the rest of the plates were ok nothing out of this world...service was really good by Lui , he was really nice and friendly, ambience like every trending restaurant in Miami, loud music and lots of people wearing massive amounts of Arabic perfumes...the restaurant was ok and I think the rooftop made a bit more cool but I don't think we will go back...it's the kind of place that is worth trying.

Yamashiro was a whole experience, beautiful vibes and even better food. The truffle edamame and cucumber tataki were the perfect starters, light but flavorful. The katsu sando and rock shrimp tempura were standouts, crispy, juicy, and done right. The black cod and wagyu striploin were rich, tender, and full of flavor, while the miso butter corn and wild mushroom added that perfect savory touch. Ended with the miso lava cake, and it was the perfect sweet finish. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

My only complaint is that food came out a bit slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy at the time. Like serve me all my orders all at once pleaseeeeee so I can indulge lol What I Had: _________________ Sashimi Assortment - 10/10 Freaking delicious. Light, decadent, and incredibly fresh. Each piece tasted clean and high-quality, the kind of sashimi that melts the second it hits your mouth. They did their thing! Kanpachi Sashimi - 10/10 So good. Soft, delicate, and perfectly fresh. Every bite was balanced and flavorful without being heavy at all. Nigiri - White Fish Tasting - 11/10 Hands down my favorite part of my experience. I ordered multiple rounds (they come two per order), including branzino and snapper. The branzino was unreal. I wanted only branzino... that is how marvelous it was. Topped with this umami crunch that added so much texture and flavor. It was literally mouthwatering, like a burst of flavor in every bite. I honestly could've kept ordering this all night. Nigiri - Bluefin Tuna Tasting - 5/10 This one just wasn't for me. It wasn't fishy, but the texture was very slimy and didn't sit well in my mouth. It didn't swallow smoothly and just wasn't appetizing to me personally. Definitely a pass. Blue Crab Hand Roll - 6.5/10 I know this is a fan favorite, but it was just okay for me. Not bad at all, just didn't wow me compared to everything else I had. For $6, it's fine, but I wouldn't rush to reorder it. Customer Service: 8.5/10 Friendly and helpful, just slightly slow. Overall Experience: 9/10 Will I Be Back? Yes, absolutely. This establishment has been TAMIED™

Parking is mostly limited street parking though, so plan ahead. This spot is more about curated tastings, sashimi, nigiri, and handrolls rather than specialty rolls, so don't expect a huge roll menu. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful, especially the bluefin and unagi foie gras. Portions are on the lighter side though, so we left satisfied but not totally full. Cedrick was awesome and really made the experience better. He knew the menu inside and out and explained everything perfectly. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Wynwood and want quality sushi without the overly trendy vibe.

I truly appreciate when servers know their menu well and are able to make suggestions. I can't remember my server's name, but she was just top-notch. We ordered: - Miso soup, (served in a charming, Japanese chawan mushi cup) the flavor was really good and strong. (I hate it when it's weak) - Spicy dumplings. They tasted homemade. Yummy - Shrimp shu mai, good, tasted as it should - Tanaka roll, with extra crispies on top, (I was not a fan because I did not expect it to be deep-fried. if it had not been deep-fried, I would've liked it.) - Peking duck served in an impressive three tier tower that looks like a round Chinese Temple. - Pork Belly Bao bun, this was also a miss for me because I expected it to taste like barbecue, but it was just really salty like they used a lot of brown salty sauce. All in all, I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though I didn't like those two items. Bec But, because of the excellent service, the atmosphere and the beautiful way they served the food, I decided to leave them a five star review. Something that stood out to me was how they shaved frozen monkfish liver as a topping. I wanna go back just for that!! They also had some pieces where they smoked the fish. Besides the food, I thought it was very creative how they welcomed guests with a welcome drink at the hotel bar. This was so unique! We finished ours early, and had some of their other drinks - they were all very good! Once they're ready, a server came to get us from the hotel bar and led us through an alleyway to a separate building which was where the actual omakase was taking place. The atmosphere was dark and gave off speakeasy vibes, which I thought was different to other omakase places. Bar is spacious enough to still have private conversations. We did the beverage pairing and we really appreciated the sommelier's knowledge. Overall, we would want to come back again for another tasting experience!!
