We chose Novikov Miami to celebrate my wife's birthday, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The highlight for me was definitely the wagyu slider--hands down the best slider we've ever had. I'm usually not a big fan of burgers or sliders, but this one completely changed my mind. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The wagyu tataki was also excellent, tender and well-balanced in flavor. The sashimi and seafood were incredibly fresh, which is always a must for us, and Novikov did not disappoint. The dim sum selection was outstanding--each dish was crafted with care and packed with flavor. And the desserts? Easily some of the best we've had compared to other premium buffets--beautifully presented and delicious. What truly elevated the experience was the service. It was attentive, warm, and made us feel genuinely special throughout the brunch. Bella was excellent (and it was her first day)! We were greeted with enthusiasm and she showed great knowledge about the menu. We were seated outside by request and this location has a beautiful view of the bay! Our cocktails were fabulous. I got a classic Aperol spritz and my husband tried their old fashioned and loved their version. For an app we tried their wagu tacos (we thought dang, someone is putting wagu in a taco.. we have to try it!) and so glad we did. They were running their Duck menu, and everything we tried was outstanding. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even better despite it being a quick workday lunch. On May 13, 2026, I visited Novikov for lunch and requested the Executive menu ($35 USD). Here are my observations: * The Executive menu no longer includes shrimp dumplings as a starter. * I ordered hamachi-yuzu maki instead (an additional $5 USD) and found a piece of fish fin or bone inside the maki. * I requested a Wasabi Martini (approximately $20 USD), which was sweeter than usual. * I ordered the Crispy Duck, which was satisfactory. * Dessert consisted solely of mango sorbet. Typically, multiple flavors are served; when I inquired about other options, the server (Damian) stated there were none. However, I later observed other Executive menu tables being served different flavors. * We ordered coffee, which was acceptable. * The check included a mandatory 20% tip for a service that felt very transactional. The total cost was $80 USD. As a regular customer of Novikov, I am used to high standards of food and service and have always paid gladly when these expectations are met. Unfortunately, this recent experience left me disappointed. I urge the Novikov team to restore the quality of both food and service. I intend to return once more; however, should a similar experience occur, I will reconsider recommending Novikov to others. read more

Most people know Novikov they were one of the first to bring a luxurious edge to pan Asian food in downtown Miami. Everything they do, they do it well and you can see it in their experience. This cucumber tataki is incredibly light and a vegetarian's opportunity to rejoice in tataki. These black truffle, chicken and morel are not only GORGEOUS but masterfully crafted. I came here for miami spice lunch and I liked it more than I thought I would, especially since I feel hesitant about Miami asian fusion. Starter: The cucumber tataki was ok but in the end just sliced cucumbers. I wish I got the hot and sour soup that my friend got as it had more flavor and substance. Appetizer: I got the duck and foie gras dim sum and my friend got the shrimp and cilantro dim sum and they were ok. Perhaps I was craving more of the chinese flavor. While the dumplings looked chinese, it didn't taste chinese at all. I would not get either again. Main: I got the half peking duck and actually enjoyed it. Growing up, my family would make it at home and the taste was pretty similar. They used authentic thin chewy wrappers. However I wish there was a bit more fat on the meat. The skin isn't as crispy and juicy as the ones I've had in China (but those are some high standards that have never been met in the US). For the extra $15 on top of the miami spice base price of $30, the peking duck was certainly worth it and would recommend it. The service was good but I wish they filled my water more often, especially given the saltiness of some of the dipping sauces. The decor was beautiful and well lit and stylish. Made a reservation for a work lunch after hearing some glowing recommendations. From entrance to exit it was a great experience! We wanted something light so didn't end up doing the $30 business lunch, and just got sashimi. The ginger truffle hamachi, perfectly thin and great paired with the micro greens. Scallop truffle was not pictured but also really tasty. All 3 of us ordered the chefs recommended sashimi so they combined it into a beautiful platter with sliced fruit and dry ice. The fish was soft and really fresh quality. Presentation was all perfect and service was top notch. My one complaint was that it gets very loud somehow even with not that many people in the room. We came on a Thursday around 8p and inside was fairly empty outside of a few tables but the patios were full. First time here for a business dinner and it has a cool yet simple vibe inside. We sat at a big round table for 6 and were serviced by 2 people. Service was pretty good except one of the servers seemed new so he was forgetting orders and simple orders like water. That said the food was tasty. We tried both the sushi and the duck and although I was hesitant to order the duck here it was pretty tasty. Sushi was good and the uni was very fresh. The dishes were tasty also. We had a 5 star experience at the Novikov Sunday brunch! I was a bit worried since they changed part of it to buffet, but it did not disappoint. We selected the premium option and were immediately served our champagne. The wasabi martini is AMAZING and one of the main reasons I go to Novikov for any meal. The hot appetizers such as bok choy and premium dim sum are brought to the table. The buffet is open to both regular and premium guests and is located behind the beautiful glass display. It includes a wide array of seafood: crab claws, lobster tail, tuna, salmon, yellowtail all available as nigiri or sashimi, along with 4 different types of dim sum and miso soup. So much to choose from! My favorite bite of the day was the premium nigiri. O-toro and A5 wagyu are brought to your table, slightly torched, and served. These MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. So good! With everything being unlimited, make sure you save room for your main course. For our entrees, we ordered a half Peking duck, wagyu ribeye, and two honey truffle king crab legs. All were of course delicious. Dessert is included as well, but I could barely take a few bites I was so full. I highly recommend asking for Victoria as your server, no matter when you go to Novikov. We have sat with her 2-3 times now and she is just the BEST! She is excellent at her job. Along with being friendly and professional, she ensured we always had full drinks and plenty of food. For a long time I wanted to go to this restaurant but I was undecided; however we ended up going on a Saturday night around 7pm. The restaurant was empty when we got there but by the time we left it was packed. We have various people helping us, the drinks were fabulous and so was the food. I did not have many expectations but I got really surprised of how delicious was everything. I would definitely recommend it and I want to go back . Next came the nigiri which are priced as high as I have seen anywhere. More importantly the fish and preparation are far from par. Look at that thick rind of fat left on the otoro in the attached picture. Finally came the fried while fish which came as deep fried chunks of fish in a stale batter.
