Sushi was just ok, spring rolls were weird and chewy.

I recently visited this restaurant for an early lunch and found the experience to be a mix of…read morepositives and notable drawbacks. The establishment has a casual dine-in setup, offering a relaxed atmosphere suitable for a quick meal or a short break during the day. Despite being a dine-in restaurant, all food is served in takeout boxes, which, while convenient for those on the go, slightly diminishes the overall dining experience for those choosing to eat on the premises. The food quality itself was acceptable. Reasonably portioned, adequately seasoned, and prepared in a timely manner. While it may not stand out as exceptional, it fulfills the expectations for a casual meal. However, the main issue that significantly impacted my experience was the cleanliness of the tables. The first table I sat at had a noticeably sticky surface, which immediately raised concerns about hygiene and maintenance. Assuming it was an isolated case, I moved to a second table, only to encounter the same problem. A third attempt produced similar results, suggesting that this is not an isolated incident but rather a recurring issue throughout the dining area. A sticky table surface not only detracts from comfort but also gives the impression that cleaning practices are not being properly observed between guests. This, unfortunately, overshadowed what could have been a satisfactory meal. In summary, while the restaurant offers decent food at a fair value, the overall dining environment requires improvement, particularly in the table cleanliness and food presentation. Until this concern is addressed, I would recommend opting for takeout instead of dining in, as the food quality is adequate, but the in-house dining conditions fall short of acceptable standards.

After looking over all the options, I chose salmon sashimi, octopus sashimi, and bbq eel sushi. Quality was pretty good, cuts were thick, and the value was insane! Place is takeout. People are super friendly. Prices are amazing based on the quantity you get. Definitely recommend this place if you want to pick and choose good sushi without breaking the bank.

Other platters are often "you get what you get" but the idea that we wouldn't be stuck with surf clam or cucumber rolls was very enticing to us. Mother's Day was a great reason to order sushi and maaaaan were we not disappointed! Ordering online seemed like they were rammed with orders since it requested a later pick up time. When my husband showed up, he noted that it was a two person show... and they clearly were making sure they didn't overwhelm themselves with orders. It goes to show they care about their food/quality and we were so grateful! The rice was cooked well and the ratio of rice to fish/yums was great! Our only complaint was that we wish the order form would tell us how many pieces were in each "order" but other than that we were very pleased with the quality of the sushi and the freshness of the fish. We finally have a go-to sushi spot nearby that we won't hesitate to order from again (and again and again!)

Zenbu Katsu set: They recommend eating the cheese katsu first and I would agree it's best to have it fresh as the cheese had a nice pull when it's hot. All the katsu were juicy and flavourful. Personally liked the hire (pork fillets) and the rosu (pork loin) the most! Lime cold udon: Very refreshing and delicious along with all the katsu. Perfect for the warm weather to cool down. Overall, amazing experience for premium quality food! I would come back again whenever I'm in the area.

Came for a casual birthday dinner - unfortunately (but understandably) they were not able to let us bring in a cake to eat (though they did hold onto it for us). First time here, so ordered the Zenbu Katsu and a Mazemen (udon). Zenbu Katsu comes with an assortment of Katsu - few selections of pork, shrimp, menchi (meatball), and veggies. Mazemen is a brothless udon to be mixed with sauce, pork, and an egg. Both items were very tasty. Each katsu was crispy and it was very nice to get the assortment (also just a lot of food). Favourite for me was the menchi. Mazemen was also very flavourful. Overall friendly service, and delicious food. Price is a little high, but reasonable. Would recommend.
