We came in this past Saturday and it was just as AMAZING as we remembered! Fast & friendly service! We loved the to go containers! The tempuration roll & bento box were great! The shrimp tempura is very crunchy & fresh! The restaurant was almost cold (no longer hot like previous visit)

It can be really hard to find decent hibachi that doesn't cost more than $25 a plate. Yami Japan has pretty decent portion sizes. I had the steak and shrimp hibachi for dinner. Everything was seasoned and cooked well. I prefer to pickup the food instead of dining in because the dining room is pretty small, but I've noticed it seems to stay pretty empty if you did want to dine in.

They are located in the tiny strip with Red Crawfish and Jersey Mike's. I absolutely love this place. I hate going to expensive hibachi restaurants when I could literally come here and spend maybe $10. I always get the bento box with shrimp hibachi noodles and instead of the rice that comes with it, I get extra veggies. It also comes with a sushi roll. All of this is around $8-9!! The noodles are pretty much lo mein noodles. I've dined here before, and they give full-service dining. Food comes out pretty fast too!

My food was delicious. It was hot and ready when I got to the store to pick it up. The rice was seasoned to perfection, my protein as well. The portion size was a nice size and the staff was nice. I would not recommend the soup or salad but the hibachi is awesome!

This is an underrated Japanese food gem. From the first time, I am always satisfied. They have many choices and they are all very tasty. Their service was efficient and courteous. I prefer the teriyaki or hibachi plates as opposed to the noodles. If it's your first time I suggest you go for the hibachi/teriyaki place. Enjoy because it's pretty delicious ! Only thing I would provide as constructive criticism is that the waitresses float around and check on their customers a bit more frequently. OH! One last thing, if you have room in your tummy after your meal, TRYYY their Mochi Ice Cream! .

Despite loving the foods here, it's been awhile since I last visited...and I definitely noticed some changes in the menu. Luckily, the foods tasted as great as ever! My husband ordered the Katsu Chicken w/ Miso Soup Combo, and I had the Kimchi Nabe Udon Donkatsu Combo...plus an order of Shrimp Tempura...and again, everything was DEE-Lish!! What's over, as mentioned before, the overall value of this quality meal was unbeatable! Despite near fast food pricing, the foods were so high in quality. Possibly the best, flakiest-crunchiest Katsu I've had in this year?? The thing that was a shockingly bad (no fault of the restaurant) was the crowd that day. It was early Sunday, and it was packed with young teens that were incredibly loud. All the adult diners seemed near shocked at how ridiculously loud they were being. I personally felt that they should have been chaperoned or something. Some of the teems looked REALLY young...like 13 or so? Frankly, they literally ruined the dining experience for everyone there! Still, THAT aside, we thoroughly enjoyed the foods. Since I don't feel that I should penalize the restaurant for the rude, young diners, I'm keeping the stars the same...all 5 stars! Well deserved!!

Outstanding ramen, incredible fresh noodles, and excellent service from Aaliyah…read more Okiboru Ramen Takumen in Duluth was absolutely worth the visit, and honestly, I'm just mad at myself for not trying it sooner. I started with the Okiboru buns (chicken and pork) the crispy gyoza, and the garlic nori fries. All three were a great start to the meal. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the pork bun worked really well with the garlic aioli, soy glaze, and pickled cucumber. The chicken one was good too but the pork one beats it on flavor. The gyoza had a nice crisp to them and came with a shoyu dipping sauce that tied everything together well. The garlic nori fries were also really good, crispy and well seasoned, and a fun side to snack on between everything else along with the garlic sauce to dip your fries in. For my main dish, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which comes with rich pork broth, pork chashu, half a soft boiled egg, scallions, and thin Hakata noodles. I also added the thick noodle refill on the side, and I'm glad I did because both noodles were excellent in different ways. The biggest standout here was the noodle quality. You can tell immediately that these are fresh noodles because the texture is just on another level. The thin noodles were fantastic and worked perfectly with the tonkotsu broth, but the thick noodles were incredible too. It's one of those meals where after the first bite you immediately understand why people talk about fresh noodles the way they do. The broth itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without feeling overly heavy, and the pork in the ramen was very good too. Service was also a big part of why this visit stood out. Aaliyah was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she did a great job making the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. Good food is one thing, but good service is a huge part of what makes people want to come back, and she absolutely deserves a shoutout. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I was dining solo, so I sat at a smaller table, but they also have booths and larger middle tables that look like they'd work well for bigger groups. Food came out pretty quickly, and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. And of course, everything got washed down with a Coke Zero. Not fountain, just canned, but it still hit the spot. This was an excellent meal from start to finish. Great appetizers, outstanding ramen, truly impressive noodles, and service that made the whole visit even better. I'll definitely be back.

The "cute" side is very anime themed, even have anime like one piece playing on a projector at the back. The menu is very anime themed with animations as supporting background, but to me it was a little overwhelming. Seemed like there was too much going on with the anime and picture of the food, then the texts were blended into the anime, so it was hard to read the entree description, especially with dim lighting. Only criticism I'd make for improvement is to add more tuna based speciality roles. Majority are salmon. Crunchy salmon or fried something with salmon, I asked the waiter if the chef can make a crunchy tuna roll and he did, but at extra charge. They do have chefs specials and à la carte features like tuna nigiri for $8 for 2 pieces and 3 pieces of tuna sashimi for $12. Staff were extremely friendly and sincere. This one waitress ran after a customer thinking the cash left on the counter was money forgotten by the patron, not tip. The food was decent here and they are open pretty late. Chill and laid back environment to have a decent sushi meal. Will be back to try to omakase next time.

The only thing I did not like was the ponzu sauce. I think it turned or the balance of the citrus was a bit off, because it was sour and not pleasant. I ended up also getting the monk liver as well, but the ponzu also put the flavor off. I like the dish overall but it seems dull. I probably would have liked a chirashi or sashimi dish more. Sushi seems better to get.

Yumee Katsu is a modern-style katsu spot, and overall, the food is tasty even though I've definitely enjoyed some dishes more than others. You get a couple of pieces of shrimp tempura, fish katsu, and pork & cheese katsu, plus the option to add a small side of udon or soba noodles. The fish katsu is light and flavorful, and the pork with cheese is a full-on cheese pull party. I also really enjoy their salad dressing and the dipping sauces that come with the donkatsu and fish katsu- they add a lot to the meal.
